Guest Reviews
- Seraphine (6/5): Some disappointment this time! - My family and I have stayed here a few times. The staff is friendly. This time, we found a large hole in the comforter. The bed was made in such a way that the hole could not be easily seen. The cleaning lady always showed up at 7 AM. That is a little too early. Also, the TV did not work. It seems like the cable bill was not paid, but they made it seem like the issue was with the TV. We informed the staff, but nothing was done. Very disappointing.
- Seraphine (8/5): - Everything was fine! The staff was very helpful! The owner has to upgrade the exterior. Other than that, all went well! The room is very spacious. The food is affordable and the free breakfast is a plus.
- Vincent (2/5): - Cannot be recommended
- Niel (2/5): Would not book if last place available. Avoid! - Airline cancelled flights 4 months before stay (2 rooms, 14 nights). Hotel ignored all communication from myself and Expedia who admitted they have false contact info registered & could not authorise a refund as they could not contact the property! False email/telephone number, Website taken down years ago, Facebook not updated for 3 years, Twitter not updated for 2+ years. They only seem to take bookings through 3rd party sites and do not interact directly at all. I see it has now changed it's name on here from Ngaliema Resort Club to Residence Mbemba probably to avoid other bad ratings.
A four figure loss in total, partly my own fault as had I researched this hotel properly I probably would never have booked for us.
Book with this place at your own risk. While I can confirm it does actually exist, don't expect any support if anything goes awry.
- Verified traveler (6/5): An odd experience - I found the place rather confusing. The Uber driver couldn't find it and had to ask several people in the vicinity. There are no markings to indicate "Ngaliema Resort Club"; indeed the board with keys at reception has a different name on it. There's no lobby, just an office that might be open. They do serve a breakfast on the rooftop. There seemed to be very few guests and very few staff around. The room was OK - air conditioned and with some amenities - but the location wasn't great. I like a walkable neighborhood, but here there's nothing. No restaurant or attractions in walking distance; anything you want to do will take an Uber or taxi. Uber does work well here. The price is not bad for this city if that's the main concern.
- Diego (2/5): Lixo - Muito fraco
- MASAYUKI (6/5): プラトーに近く便利はホテル - 部屋からの景色は良いです。
施設は古いので期待しないほうが良いです。
朝食も可という感じでした。
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The restaurant was not in service the night I arrived and there were no TV channels. The next day, only 2 channels were made available. Overall, you get what you pay for, not the greatest experience.
- SERAPHINE A (8/5): - The stay was great! I had to travel within the country in the middle of my stay, and asked for two nights to be carried over when I come back and there was no issue with that. Very friendly staff.
- Peter (8/5): - If you have work in the Plateau area, good value for the money.
- Mohamed (4/5): No Comment 😞 - RAS
- Peter (8/5): Good value for working in Plateau. - Very good value/price for staying in Plateau.
The restaurant is still not open but room service is available. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Very happy will my stay for 2 weeks.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent quality/price rate. Nice welcom. nice swimming pool.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel under renovation. Restaurant closed so all meals came to the room which was sparsely furnished. Room itself was clean but windows opened onto a light well with no view whatsoever. Staff were friendly.
Pool was nice but right next to the construction site.
- Vishal (4/5): Dont stay here unless you have no choice - Upon arrival the receptionist said there is no booking in my name, called expedia.com, they did nothing to check. I took upon to look at their computer and wow... found my booking in the first line itself. I showed to the receptionist and she did not even apologize and gave me the room key. Had I not seen their system would have turned out. So unprofessional. Room booed was not allotted and instead they gave me lower category room saying my room is not available. breakfast was terrible, no restaurants nearby. The vibe is negative. WiFi was as good as not there.
- Dino (8/5): It was nice. Worry-free. - Thanks to the management of Ngaliema. I have enjoyed a worry-free stay at the hotel during my short stay in Abidjan. The staff are very nice. Our room cleanliness was well maintained. They have provided everything that we requested. The management was also very accommodating. Thanks.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I am happy to have been able to visit Abidjan and stayed at Ngaliema Resort Club. It is a very nice place with no peace and order problem. We usually go home at night after our work but there are no problems in the street. The taxi drivers are very nice, the people are very nice. I just wish that I knew French before coming here so I can talk to them more. The room is always cleaned everyday.
