• Avril (10/5): The best week in Donghe - The location is excellent, the breakfast is delicious and the staff are so lovely! My room was always spotless and smelt great. The view from the room is phenomenal, so delightful to wake up to the ocean view every morning, excellent spot for sunrise! There are private parking spots and 7-11 is a two minute walk away as is a bun shop. The place is right in between two surf spots, which made surf checks in the morning really easy!

• Thomas (10/5): Beautiful rooms, stunning views, extremely friendly owners. - The location is great (but I knew that, I picked it because of it) - the staff was extremely friendly. I am a middle-aged surfer -- mid-40s -- so I like my creature comforts. The rooms are spacious and have great view and are well-equipped; this is not always the case in surf-friendly accomodations as many are more like a hostel. Jacaranda house is not like a hostel, it's a beautiful spacious hotel room with stunning views, there is a surfboard rack right at the entrance and water outside to rinse off boards & feet, a great breakfast, and attentive and friendly owners / staff. Internet was fast and stable, too. My stay was super pleasant and I want to come back.

The hosts Arnold and Jessica are the loveliest people who are very welcoming, helpful and professional. Our room was spacious with a beautiful, uninterrupted view of the ocean with an amazing bathroom including a bath with a view. I couldn’t speak more highly of the experience, the breakfasts were a highlight with delicious fresh food every day. It was a great place to base ourselves for our surf trip, we will definitely be back one day.

They greeted us with a drink, I had tea but you could get expresso or juice and took us to our rooms which had ocean views that were spectacular. The breakfast every morning was delicious and served with compassion. There were 3 courses every day and it was different. The rooms were spacious and very clean. I would recommend a car in general for the area, but there were food options that were walkable, but not many.

The welcome has been warm, the bedding guaranteed a good night's sleep, the breakfast was exceptional. This extrordinary quality has persistet over the years - this was our third stay within 6 years. The bed was unfortunately very uncomfortable and lumpy. The uncomfortable bed caused my partner, and I both back pain and sleep loss. We tried to ask for assistance from the owner, and he said nothing could be done and seemed inconvenienced and aggressive that we would ask for help. We wouldn't stay again, but the views and bathroom are beautiful.
