- Suerd (7/5): Beautiful boutique resort with excellent food, but room for improvement in handling guest issues by management - - Resort styling - Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms - Excellent food at Ai Mamita - Friendly and helpful staff, especially reception and luggage assistance - We experienced noticeable staining/discolouration of swimwear after pool use (likely due to a seasonal / temporary issue) - Management ultimately provided a fair resolution to our issue at checkout - Resolution process however felt unnecessarily drawn out over several days, reactive and without opportunity for direct (verbal/face to face) contact with management. - A more personal, proactive and guest-focused approach to resolving issues would be more in line with the standards expected at this price point

- Ferdinand (8/5): Sehr schön im Allgemeinen jedoch für den Preis in meinen Augen zu teuer - dafür hätte alles perfekt sein sollen - Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit Outdoor-Dusche, der Pool war großartig, die Anlage im Allgemeinen sehr schön. Die Mitarbeiter waren äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit Im Restaurant waren mehrere Speisen, die wir konsumieren wollten nicht verfügbar. Manche der Fahrräder die man kostenlos leihen konnten sind in sehr schlechtem Zustand (keine Hinterbremse und vorne nur schwache Bremse bzw Kette nicht geölt was das Schalten der Gänge unmöglich machte). Es waren winzige Käfer im Bett die nur Nachts zu sehen waren. Dadurch wachte ich mehrmals auf. Laut ChatGBT waren es Staublaus/Bücherlaus (nicht gefährlich für Menschen) sowie eine kleine Kakerlake hab ich erschlagen. Die in den Pool kackeneden Vögel waren auch irgendwie unschön anzusehen speziell dann darin zu schwimmen.

- Anna Sophie (10/5): - Sehr schöne Unterkunft, sehr gutes Essen und ein richtig schöner Pool. Es stehen Fahrräder zur Verfügung, mit welchen man innerhalb von wenigen Minuten am Strand ist. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, auch wenn das Englisch zum Teil eingeschränkt war. Die Zimmer waren sauber.

Parking non géré par le personnel donc les touristes se parque vraiment n’importe comment, c’est hallucinant… x1 voiture occupe x2 places… voir plus … Un parisien fou a réveillé tout l’hôtel à 06h00 du matin en criant au feu et en toquant comme un forcené sur les portes des bungalow… car … il ne savait pas que les locaux font des feus de sécurité et des feus pour brûler leurs déchets. Donc si vous voyez des petites flammes en bas de la grande propriété, c’est totalement normal ! Surtout qu’ils le font uniquement quand le vent souffle à l’opposé de l’hôtel , ils sont très sérieux et respectueux. - impossible de régler la climatisation, elles sont bloqué sur un seul paramètre pour des raisons pratique et écologique … une climatisation écologique…

The restaurant was delicious. The prices per night are very high especially for Santa Catalina. It is an exclusive place but too expensive for what it offers at the end.

La douche extérieure apporte une touche particulièrement agréable. La piscine dans son écrin de verdure est un havre de paix. Malheureusement l’établissement nous a attribué un bungalow (qu’un couple avait refusé avant nous) qui avait vue sur une maison en chantier…. Avec pour conséquence du bruit, de la lumière, un manque d’intimité, et le non respect des promesses de vue paisibles sur la nature annoncée. Le samedi les travaux ont duré jusqu’à 22h et ont recommencé le dimanche ! Et cela sans même une excuse ou une possibilité de changer de bungalows. Il a fallu faire 2 réclamations pour qu’il nous soit proposé de prendre gracieusement le petit déjeuner pour le leger désagrément !!! . Mais ça ne rendra pas que les conditions n’ont pas été respectées, sans excuse, et que nous avons pas pu profiter de ce cadre magnifique comme il se doit. Inadmissible pour un établissement de ce prix et ce standing. Donc très frustrant.
- Ingrid (8/5): Voor herhaling vatbaar - Leuke villa’s op een klein resort. Eigen terrasje in de natuur . Lekker fijn breed 2 persoons bed ! Niet te hard en niet te zacht . Fijne hoofdkussens en voldoende handdoeken. De douche buiten was heerlijk en aansluitende ruime badkamer . Zwembad was mooi met fijne ligbedden . Restaurant was prima maar gewoon . Geen spectaculaire culinaire keuken maar gewoon lekker en samen een lekkere pure zeebaars als hoofdgerecht delen is ook genieten ! Aardige bediening zowel bij de receptie als bij het restaurant. We zouden zeker terugkomen! Niets !

- Carrie (10/5): - Villa Coco was simply amazing. The casita was positioned towards the end of the property and had a beautiful view. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was quiet. The restaurant and staff went above and beyond, having breakfast prepared in time for the first dive boat and making a special dessert for us. We could walk to town (1/2 mile) or to the surf beach (1mile) for access to terrific little restaurants, a small market, and of course, the ATM. I can’t think of anything that wasn’t excellent. Villa Coco has their own fresh water well with safe drinking water, extra generators for when the power went out from the rain, an excellent chef, and terrific staff. Santa Catalina is a remote town that is growing. It’s an authentic village with small restaurants, lunches in an abuela’s kitchen, and hanging out with surfers and divers. The local people are kind and dusting off your Spanish skills will make communication easier. If that’s not your vibe, you probably won’t like it.

- Mitja (8/5): Nice and relaxing. - Nice location with well organized villas. We stayed in deluxe king room (in one villa two separate rooms). Large and comfortable. With outdoor shower (only one) and small terrace overlooking forest with two loungers and hammock. One thing that bothered us was the lack of privacy on the terrace, as it’s shared with the neighboring room. I would suggest adding a natural divider—such as a bush, wooden screen, or outdoor curtain—between the terraces so guests don’t face each other directly.

- Anne (9/5): - Santa Catalina is a very small town surrounded by beautiful nature. A day trip to Coiba is amazing, but staying at Vila Coco is also really nice with the pool and restaurant. Every room has a nice terrace for relaxing. If you want to learn surfing, go to Oasis, crossing the river. The black sand and nature is stunning as well. For more advanced surfers, the spot right in front of Vila Coco is amazing too. Getting in is rocky. Kids loved Vila Coco as well! In our jungle suite we had small improvement points (which they picked up really well), but overall it was an amazing experience.

- Bas (9/5): Heerlijk verblijf 👌🏻 - Ligging het eten / ontbijt in eigen restaurant ❤️ en het zwembad natuurlijk Bar bij zwembad stond vaak niemand achter de bar. Wij vinden eigenlijk dat een locatie als deze een “adults only” moet zijn. Verder alles meer dan top!! 👍🏻
- Carmen (9/5): Lovely stay in Santa Catalina - We loved the quiet setting in a lovely garden with a nice pool. The rooms are spread out, so you have enough privacy. We had a room with an outdoor shower which was lovely. We really enjoyed having dinner at Ai Mamita. Although dinner was great, we didn't like the breakfast as much.

The location was beautiful, with lots of lovely birds flying around. The accommodations were really beautiful and clean. There is a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere at Villa Coco. In addition, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Villa Coco! Thank you very much for all the excellent care provided by the staff and the delicious food!

- Karole (8/5): Peut être l'hotel le plus charmant de tout notre tour au Panama. Beaucoup de raffinement. - L'hôtel est très joli, décoré avec beaucoup de gout, mention spéciale pour la douche extérieure et la piscine. Le restaurant est très agréable et vraiment savoureux. Nous n'avons pas trouvé mieux à l'extérieur dans le village. La qualité est nettement supérieure à toutes les autres offres du village pour un prix très raisonnable en comparaison. Playa estero à proximité est une immense plage avec quelques rouleaux mais globalement très sûre car peu de profondeur et essentiellement du sable. Idéale en famille et pour débuter le surf, le bodyboard ou tout simplement se baigner dans une eau chaude très agréable. Nous préférons toujours les offres de buffet au petit déjeuner plutôt que les offres à l'assiette mais il est vrai que l'hôtel est petit, j'imagine donc compliqué de rentabiliser un buffet à cette échelle et les propositions étaient très bonnes. L'hotel est un peu excentré donc très calme mais la plage ou le village sont tout de même plus facilement accessibles avec une voiture. contrairement à annoncé il n'y a pas de vue mer (ou extrêmement minime)

- Abigail (9/5): Nice tropical hotel - Spacious room with garden view. Amazing tropical patio shower! The pool and restaurant were very nice and cozy. Staff was also very friendly It’s rather a suggestion, and I do believe other guests mentioned it too, but it would be nicer if there would be either a screen or a door to separate the toilet from the other side of the room.

- Ami (9/5): Beautiful, Peaceful Property. Prices Can be Steep - This is the most upscale property in Santa Catalina. Rooms are like villas, large and comortable. Pool is beautiful with lots of greenery. Food in the restaurant is really good...but not incredible. Air conditioning works well, but power often goes out. For the upscale price, it's a bist rustic. There were a couple days where the cleaning team was less than thorough.
