Die Terrasse gestattet einen schönen Blick über das Meer. Die Betten waren bequem. Das W-LAN erlaubte grundlegende Aktivitäten im Internet, könnte leistungsfähiger sein. Recherchen dauerten lange, da sich die Website nur langsam aufbauten.

Rachel (6/5): Good facilities but needed some extra cleaning - Our apartment was very nice and spacious, with good kitchen facilities and all toiletries provided etc. The room was quiet at night despite being close to everything that you'd need in Airlie Beach. The view from our patio was also very nice looking out over the sea. The room could've been cleaner - the floor was a bit sticky (not a big deal) and there were stains on our bed sheet (looked like blood) and also one of the bath towels. We tried to contact the owners via the WhatsApp number provided but got no answer. On the whole was a decent stay but not without issues.

The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, with a lovely balcony to take it all in. The pool was a highlight, perfect for relaxing while enjoying the scenery. The location felt like a hidden gem—peaceful and quiet, yet still close enough to everything. We also loved waking up to birds chirping and even had the occasional cockatoo visit. Peter provided a warm welcome on arrival, and Tahlia was always ready to assist with any housekeeping needs, making the whole experience feel easy and well looked after.

The room was spotless, beds comfortable, hot shower, kitchen fully equipped,outside table great bonus, view from the apartment outstanding. Free use of towels for the pool ( which in itself was lovely - very clean and great view again!)The staff were excellent - Dean gave us a very informative chat on our arrival, sorted out our transport back to the airport and helped us out with our general enquiries throughout our stay. Not a complaint ( because you can't have a fantastic view without some climbing!) , but it is a fairly steep 5 min walk up to the apartments- very easy to get a taxi, but we walked up each time!

Besonders hervorheben möchte ich, dass ich an meinem Abreisetag bis abends um 21 Uhr auf meinen Bus warten musste. Ich durfte trotzdem noch Pool und die Toilette benutzen. Das schätze ich sehr. Der Inhaber ist sehr nett und ich würde hier auf jeden Fall nochmal übernachten! Danke!

Barbara (8/5): Good location - no staff on site. - The location was great and the bed was comfortable. The pool area was clean and tidy. I didn’t like walking in from the parking lot to a sign saying, “Smile, you’re on camera.” There was no one at reception even though we arrived when the office was supposed to be open - in fact, I never saw a single staff member during my stay. There was only a whiteboard with a note saying which room I was assigned to, and the key was in the room. When I went to the room, there was a sign telling me all of the ways I would be charged extra money if I didn’t leave it in exactly the condition specified. There was definitely an unfriendly tone to the property.

Daniel (7/5): Ausbaufähig, maximal für 1-2 Näche zu empfehlen - Die Lage auf dem Hügel gibt einen tollen Blick von der Terrasse und dem Pool auf das Meer. Der Ort mit Restaurants/Shops ist fußläufig erreichbar. Die Parkplätze vor der Tür sind sehr hilfreich. Die aktuelle Bewertung von 8,5+ erschließt sich mir überhaupt nicht. Die Ausstattung ist maximal ok, die Sauberkeit ausbaufähig. Der Platz ist sehr begrenzt. Das Bad hat bessere Tage gesehen. Auf den Bildern entsteht der Eindruck einer Terrasse, in Realität ist das der Gang auf dem die Zimmer nebeneinander liegen. Die Rezeption ist nur zeitweise besetzt, wir haben in den 2,5 Tagen nie jemanden gesehen. Keiner hat sich gekümmert oder erkundigt. Man muss den Müll selbst rausbringen, ansonsten wird eine Strafe angedroht. Alles in allem für einen sehr kurzen Aufenthalt, bei dem man wenig Zeit im Zimmer verbringt, ok, ansonsten nicht zu empfehlen.

Whilst we were there our flight was cancelled due to a cyclone and the owner very kindly drove us out of Airlie and further down the coast to catch a flight which meant our trip was not disrupted by the cyclone. They went above and beyond. Would definitely return to Sunlit waters if I ever return to airlie beach.
