• Amanda (1/5): Very disappointing accomodation. - Location to rock pools Property was very dirty. Smelt terrible. Washing machine didn’t work and was filthy. Dishwasher was filled with old food. Dog and human hair in the bed, and on the floor. bathroom filled with mould and bugs. Fans don’t work. Wifi patchy. Stains throughout the floor and lounge was wet! Not fit for a dog to stay. My daughter and I left early due to eye infections.

Everyone who stayed were lovely people. We celebrated Christmas Day here with friends and family it was such a great environment. We came from the Gold Coast and would come back again.

• Walters (10/5): Highly recommend this place - I'd definitely look to re-book if in the area next time. - It was a beautiful house to stay in while working locally - Coles across the street - cant get any better than that. The only thing I could fault - the key didn't open the front door - but it was easy to go 'round the back. I didn't try overly hard.

Outside area was enclosed however was very run down with gaps in and under fences. Not ideal for small pets as they could easily get through. Backyard was dirty (rotting bones and dog poo) from previous visitors that had to be cleaned up. No covered area outside for dogs to stay under either so be mindful of weather. Could hear every move the upstairs visitors made as well.

The carpet wasn't clean, and some kitchen drawers held rusty cooking utensils. The back entry was slippery and needed cleaning to avoid someone slipping and hurting themselves.

Nothing really... most places we stayed at had soap and shampoo but this didn't but it wasn't an issue as we did have our own!

We arrived on Friday night around 8pm and there are 11 of us, the lady in Unit 3 came out and asked us to quiet down, come on, it takes a while for 11 people to unpack stuff on an Easter trip! On Saturday night, on our way back, We received a call from the owner, threatening to vocate us because they lady upstairs made a complaint saying the saw the beer We bought and she reckon We would make noise, excuse me, We can't buy beers?! To the owner: if you can't handle an invalid complaint, do not run a business, in any business, you would expect to deal with ultra sensitive and mean customers, just like the lady in unit 3. Time to expand your consciousness, learn to deal with all walks of life. If you want a totally quiet environment during public holiday, stay in your vacuum home! When you threaten to vacate your clients, think twice, do you really have a leg to stand on? We chose not to engage the lady upstairs because we want you to have a quiet Easter, where is your goodwill towards us?!

• Peter (1/5): Dealing with Merimbula Holiday Rentals was atrocious, I will never stay in EDEN or surrounds again. - The lovely view from this room. THATS IT This is our worst stay in a BOOKING.COM ever. Our stay wasn't available, even though we had a booking number and correspondence. Apparently its a min 2 night stay and the full blame was put onto booking.com, They said they were doing us a favor by allowing a 1 night stay for additional $50, AT ANOTHER ACCOMMODATION PLACE. This room was dated, dangerous and if I understand correctly booked directly with owner, (not thru booking.com) The trundle bed was stained with ??? you guess? Our family member slept on the couch in preference. There was a used tissue and filth in the bed drawer and a thong under the double bed all suggesting poor cleaning. The windows and doors rattled all night in the wind leading to a poor nights sleep. The layout of the room was poor, the kitchen inaccessible while sitting at the table. Major trip hazard in the driveway. List goes on!!

Blinds don't work all that well and neither do windows and locks. Door locks don't seem very secure. Has sea views but a lot of traffic on road out front.

• Ken (5/5): apartment is great. Service is horrific - the apartment itself was excellent service was horrific. They gave us the wrong key. made us drive back and forth to get a new one. The new one did not enable the lift to stop on our floor so we had to cart baggage up and down stairs. Phone calls were not answered or returned and then we were made to wait in the unit for over an hour for them to come and correct the key. All without so much as a simple apology
• Tona (8/5): Good Location, near beach and shops. - The location was the best, it was situated near the beach and shops. Slight view of the beach and super quiet. It picks up an amazing sea breeze in afternoon. Neighbour had many people over in which they've taken up all the car park however property manager rectified it in a timely manner. Host quickly responds. Value for money and the most important. It is dog friendly! Accomodation had a slight smell ie: old cigarette smell or musky smell in the furniture but you will get use to it. The dishes were dirty but easy to clean. I ended up buying some pots from Coles as the pots had wear and tear and toilet rolls as only one was supplied for a 4-5 days stay.

• Steve (8/5): Enjoyed the stay overall, great location and plenty of room for a family. - Very spacious, some recent modifications made the apartment more liveable, loved the ability to have our pet with us, very handy to the Main Street of Eden, plenty of parking,. Was a bit musty smelling but not a big issue. Quite noisy from the upstairs, but thankfully the residents were early sleepers.

• Thilomager (8/5): comfy flat to enjoy your stay in Eden - This accommodation provides a fully equipped holiday flat, including laundry washing. Facilities to bay food a just around the corner. Down to the harbor you need to have a short walk. Secured parking spots available. The check in / check out process was very easy, without any issues. (for international visitors it is recommended to have a local mobile number which can be used to communicate with the owner – SMS / calls). Nothing to mention in this section
• Span (7/5): it was a good stay. conveniently located. house was as advertised - good location. enough space for 5 adults toilet sinks have some stains and quite old toilet facilities. cleaner upgraded toilets would have made this place more comfortable
• Melanie (6/5): Good location, but accommodation in need of maintenance - Good location, and plenty of room for storing luggage and food supplies. There is a Coles around the corner, and plenty of eating out of options close by. The view was beautiful and it was quiet and peaceful. The dishwasher was easy to use and there was enough plates and cutlery. The shower wasn’t very easy to operate properly and the laundry tap was very badly positioned. I couldn’t use my bedside lamp or electric blanket on my side of the bed, as the cords did not reach as far as the power Points. The kitchen tap splashed a lot of water back on the tiles no matter how gently we tried to use it. The Blinds in the laundry were very dirty. There was no heater in the bathroom. I was initially overcharged, as the property managers charged the booking fee twice. I had to ring up and have a long phone conversation in order to address this. When I wanted to change my booking from five nights to 3 nights within the free refund period, I was unable to do this using the app initially. I first tried to contact the property managers about this, who told me I had to do it through the app (!), so I rang up booking.com, who contacted the property managers, got them to release the block on the booking, and organised for my stay to be reduced to 3 nights. One of the bedroom doors was coming off its hinges, and it wasn’t very easy to close the door fully. We wanted to wash the dirt off our car, but the nearby garden hose was broken and leaking.
