- Ashfaque Ahmed (10/5): It was nice stay - Every thing Nothing
- Girija (9/5): Lovely stay! - Beautiful hotel which is centrally located. Warm staff, clean large rooms. Gives old traditional mansion feels. Would visit again :) recommended. Breakfast was a part of our package, however it could have been better in terms of spread and taste.

- Mandakini (9/5): -
- GILLIAN (8/5): - I loved the ambience of the hotel. The food was excellent. Staff helpful. Curated displays of knicknacks were very interesting. Lift was a godsend. A lot of Paldi noise, which l was expecting. The pool was out of use. Very galling as l was really looking forward to a dip to cool off. We had a lovely balcony but no chairs to sit on.
- Prahallad (4/5): - Clean spacious room No 4 star amenities wastage of money
- Sudheendra (9/5): Fantastic experience. My family and I would definitely stay here again. - I stayed for 4 nights with family (2 rooms) at Mani Mansion. It is an excellent cross between the staffing and predictability of a hotel, and the warmth and personality of a home stay. It has a really beautiful building, eclectically designed, with a nice foyer and stairway. Each room inside is different (we got room 205, which was a premium suite.) It is it an excellent location in Paldi, just 2 minutes from the Kocharab ashram (well worth visiting), where Gandhi started his legendary stint in India.
The mansion is situated in a leafy, green heighborhood and has a lot of plants. The highlights for me were the friendly and accommodative staff, and the Gunnatvam millet restaurant on the top floor. Whenever I used to ask for tea or snacks, it was made available. The host Tapanbhai himself came over at the restaurant to ask us if everything was ok. The only slightly downside was that the hotel WiFi was spotty and in room 205, mobile coverage was also poor, so some of my work calls were difficult. But I recommend going there with no laptop, just a book, and enjoy the ambience.
- Shyam (7/5): Good but could have been better.shape up. You cannot live on your reflected glory from your ancestors - Nice well maintained heritage property. Lot of character. Penny pinching. One pair of slippers. Two small bottles of water. Insects in room.
- Urvashi (10/5): -
- Cherie (8/5): -
- Anonymous (8/5): Excellent - A very nice Mansion well maintained Wi Gi was poor signal
- Mansuk (6/5): - Reasonable
- Bhavna (7/5): Good - Room was good. Food at cafe and breakfast was not valued for money. Bad service
- Chandulal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sengupta (7/5): Good - Basic spread of breakfast. Good south Indian food available in the restaurant. Torn towel, towels are not white it is tending to be blackish.
Need to look at nook and corner for cleanliness like the show cases in the dining area seems were cleaned long back.
Did not expect WELCOME HERITAGE property be like this.
Not the value for money paid.
- Bhaskar (7/5): Good -
- Karan (8/5): Very good -
- Hanna (9/5): Superb - Very stylish, heritage building, charming and clean.
- 織田 (10/5): Excellent - Nice building.beautiful place. Breakfast is great. My favorite is old style elevator. Staffs can’t understand English so it is a little bit difficult communication
- Mavi (10/5): Excellent workings - A All over verry good excellent performance Sir. A All over verry good excellent performance Sir.
- Sathèesan (8/5): Very good - Your ambience. Nothing.
- Manju (8/5): very homely and comfortable - Nice, cosy place. very centrally located. the towels etc were not very crisp clean.
- Nilesh (2/5): Had booked the hotel with better expectations, but to sum up it is like an ordinary hotel - Breakfast was OK, but an be better with choices Service is really bad, unprofessional staff. Too high price. Even higher than the 5 star properties in Ahmedabad.
Parking is not enough.
- Khushhali (4/5): Disappointing - The staff was somewhat friendly, but the prices charged do not meet the services provided at all. The room shown on the booking website and the actual room were very different. The cleanliness and maintenance of the room were horrible. The bed would creak a lot every time I moved a little. The mansion had an echo problem and the staff used to be very noisy until late night hours. Privacy was another issue since the rooms did not have proper automatic locks or key cards, it was just a latch on the door that could be opened easily.
- Srikanth (8/5): Very good - Heritage hotel, nice location Bathroom always had drainage smell, told them twice they didn't fix it. over prized
- Guli (1/5): Please don’t book this place if you’re paying premium and expect decent experience. - Location was the only good thing here I booked the room for my parents who are 62 (65 kg) and 55 (52 kg) yrs old. The whole experience was horrible and extremely frustrating. The staff on top of it was charging Rs.1,500 (cash) or Rs.1,800 with bill for early check in. After a lot of talk they gave back 1200. The room, furniture, and bed were all small and very old and shaky. I understand this is an old property but when you pay Rs.5k per night, the property has to be well maintained to hold the value. Ac was also too old and wasn’t functioning well.
- Ravindra (5/5): Passable - Breakfast was good and staff were excellent Room 209 at night light shines from the glass window on the top of the door and window from the sides despite the curtains. Also, slight noise comes from reception.
- Poorvi (6/5): I expected a better deal considering the name, may be they can take proces up a bit and maintain the place well. - It is very centrally located and rooms were very spacious. As the name suggests it was a heritage mansion, but for a heritage mansion it was kept pretty badly. The first impression of this place wasn't too great, especially the chairs and couch in the room were stained.(Certainly didn't think that summed up to be a heritage style, it rather looked dirty).
Receptionist seemed polite but she lacked information about the city, and as a tourist usually your first go to people are receptionists and hotel staff for help.
- Vijay (9/5): Superb - Well balanced combination of continental and local cusine
unlimited quantities
vegetarian with eggs
strong coffee nothing specific
- Subrata (8/5): Very good - Room ,space. Breakfast choices
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - The room was very big Nothing
- Asha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chris (8/5): Although an old property ( which we were expecting )it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. - Size of room
Friendly and helpful staff Only very minor petty things like no mocktails in restaurant and only had water. We had booked a double room and were given a twin
- Chandran (8/5): Very good -
- Siddharth (5/5): Passable - Old world n homely feel.... WiFi just did not work in my room. Despite many reminders to staff. Tech not working is still understandable but no mitigation by staff is bad.
- Puneet (10/5): Exceptional - The ambience of the hotel is great. It is like an old house that has been lovingly renovated with all modern features while maintaining it's traits
- Mukesh (10/5): Exceptional - Great Place. Neat and Clean.
Good Restuarant.
Polite Staff, services very prompt.
- Sonali (9/5): Value for money , close vicinity to market & other places worth to visit👍🏻 - Ambience 10/10
Rooms 10/10
Service 10/10
Food 10/10
- Naresh (9/5): Superb -
- Ashvin (8/5): Heritage hotel - Very good sized room allocated with both AC and fan facility. Helpful front desk staff. Bathroom could do with facelift. Everything worked just a little tired looking.
- Scott (10/5): Wonderful Mani Mansions - Amazing staff and heritage feel to the hotel, large rooms and homely feel, highly recommended if you value heritage over 5* overly designed new hotels, yes it's a bit fraid around the edges, but it
OK
its 100th year, wouldn't you be, family run and you don't often get served breakfast by the owner, with his own home made pastries and then told to knock on his private suite anytime if we need anything... Nothing really...
- Vivek (7/5): Good -
- Shah (9/5): Superb -
- Sanjogray (9/5): Superb -
- Anjali (7/5): Good -
- Arpit (9/5): Superb - Location, Room, Cleanliness, Staff, Breakfast Wifi is very slow
- Pravin (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (2/5): If you want a nice hotel, don’t stay here. - This property has to be the most underwhelming experience so far of travelling India for the previous ten years.
Just don’t do it. Spend the extra money and book a room at The House of MG instead.
Firstly, I paid a deposit to secure a room for five nights. Once the non-refundable deposit was paid I got a message stating the pool and gym were not operable. This is so deceptive, at least have the courtesy to advertise that OR give the option to receive a refund. So, I felt compelled to stay so I wouldn’t lose my money.
Secondly, I was given a room that did not depict or match the advertised room. It had a very filthy old air conditioner that smelled of mould. The walls were dirty, the curtains never washed since being hung probably 50 years ago. After pointing out their deception in their advertised listing and having to listen to their justification I was reluctantly offered another room.
However I decided to lose my non refundable deposit and leave after only one night, despite booking for five nights.
Thirdly, while in my room, the male owner proceeded to open my bedroom door with four of his male friends. I was shocked and glad I was decently dressed. He later apologised however it put me on edge as a solo female traveller as it was quite intimidating to see five men opening my door to enter.
There was some sort of creature in the roof, I believe it may have been rats
Simply put - this hotel lacks the ambience it advertises as having. It lacks the professionalism and amenities it promotes then justifies their deceptive advertising practices
- Bharti (9/5): Superb -
- Gaurav (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ashit (8/5): Very good - Food is excellent. Courteous staff, location is good. The room was smaller, and connecting the kettle for tea and coffee was cumbersome. There was no wall plug near the kettle table.
- vyom (10/5): - It was a very pleasant stay here. Travelling alone women, the staf helped a lot and their breakfast buffet was very good everyday. The property was nice and heritage
- Devidas (9/5): Superb -
- Gelatin (9/5): Superb -
- Maulik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arora (7/5): Good -
- Elizabeth (10/5): An excellent and a relaxing stay at the hotel. Staff were very good and polite. - It was a very good property the feeling of a heritage was very much seen in the entire property. Well maintained
- Kishan (4/5): Disappointing -
- Manoranjan (9/5): It can do with a little more spit and polish, but overall a nice place - The hotel is well managed as the prop too stays in the same property. During breakfast, i met the gentleman who owns and runs the property, too was taking his breakfast. Though the room had a tea kettle and tea coffee kits, BUT there were no tea cups. Surely an avoidable slip in service
- Anonymous (7/5): Stay was good but food was test less and food was over priced - Location and ambience Price of food and test Ido food
- Kedari (8/5): Very good -
- Jignesh (9/5): Amazing place. - Very good environment. Peaceful and calm. Very much relaxing. The staff was awesome and has very good hospitality. Room facilities are excellent. Breakfast was delicious. The swimming pool and garden area is good but not able to use due to some works.
- Nabakishor (10/5): Exceptional - Good hotel Nothing
- Baskar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maulik (10/5): TO GOOD - Too Good TO GOOD
- Chandra (5/5): Passable - swimming pool i non operational, but we were not informed about it .
- Anagha (7/5): Good - Staff is good…property is clean..ambiance is good. Rooms are spacious but paint gets old..In breakfast…everyday same menu…
Breakfast is not much tasty…
Food is very good and tasty…restaurant is very clean and neat…well organised…good in service.
But prices of menu’s are high and also quantity is less
as compared to high price.
Overall it’s good.
- Pierre (4/5): Disappointing - Staff was very kind and helpful. Some works were on going in the building. All day it was very noisy, from 8am in the morning. Swimming pool area was not clean and looks much older and used than on the pictures.
- Aniruddha (8/5): Very good - Excellent maintained rooms and garden
Very helpful staff
Clean and very spacious rooms with nice decor
Located very near to the city center
Peaceful location
- Abhishek (8/5): Very good - The swimming pool was the main reason why I had booked the property. It was usable but the property was under maintenance and it was basically not very much usable.
- Noble (10/5): Exceptional - Quite and clean Good veg food available
- Yadav (9/5): Superb -
- Divyansh (9/5): Superb -
- Annette (10/5): Oasis in Ahmedabad - Everything, see my earlier review
- Annette (10/5): Oasis in Ahmedabad! - Great property in a lovely garden setting, it’s just a bit difficult to find as its down an alleyway, not a road. Friendly reception staff kindly upgraded my room which was clean & spacious with a large bathroom. The food was delicious with a huge variety of veg & international dishes for breakfast, lunch & dinner. There’s also an enticing pool. It felt like an oasis in a big city and I enjoyed it so much I have booked to return.
