There food was hot and well tended. the fruit was fresh and tasty, The coffee was really good. There wasn't anything that we didn't like about tour stay at the Santa Barbara Goleta Marriott. There was plenty of places to walk our dog and the pet comfort area was clean and convenient. It was very comforting to be able to have our loveable pet with us on our outing. Thank you for your resolve to make us welcome.

- Cheryl Palarca (10/5): For the two nights we stayed, we were comfortable and well taken care of. - The "Holiday" touches were great: "Elf on the Shelf" and "Hot Cocoa" in the lobby were well received by my family. The location of the hotel was very convenient to the UCSB campus where my daughter needed to be by 9am each day. It was only an 8 minute drive. It would be nice to have more access to complimentary water. Also the wifi connection to the TV (Netflix) seemed a bit slow. Overall, the experience was great though.

- BKKandKSK (6/5): An ok stay at the Residence Inn - As a devout Marriott/Bonvoy member, I routinely book with this brand. The stay (one night only) was fine--neither bad nor outstanding. The good: The facility is adorable. The mission style exterior matches the vibe of nearby Santa Barbara perfectly. The outdoor amenities are great--games for the kids (and near kids) such as chess, ping-pong, and a putting green. Lovely outdoor BBQ space. Great deck area for hanging out with family. The room was immaculately clean. The location is great if you are catching a train (easy walk to the Goleta train station) or airport. The bad: The location is not an easy walk to a place to grab a bite or a drink. In fact, there is not much around. The ugly: The weather insulation for the room is so good that it was oddly humid. There is a subtle layer of dampness on every surface. Walking on the carpet with my socks on was a weird experience as every step was "squishy." Similarly, every counter was moist.

- Kelly (8/5): Great for a quick weekend at UCSB - The location for visiting UCSB was excellent in terms of proximity to campus. There are no real dining options within walking distance, so it's a good thing a full breakfast was included. That part was great, and the breakfast area is lovely, with indoor-outdoor seating. The courtyard with pool, firepits, putting green, cornhole, etc was lovely. Very social atmosphere. We brought our dog with us, and staff was very warm and there were plenty of places to walk him. The room, particularly the bathroom, was lovely. Lots of closet space, large desk, and the kitchen area was laid out well. There were items in the freezer, and no conditioner in the shower, so not sure how meticulous the housekeeping is. The mattress was really bouncy, so if you are sharing a bed, you will feel every single thing your partner does. And with the couch folded out into a bed in the suite, it is really tight. There is not a lot of room to move around. But for a quick weekend trip it was fine. It was also a little freaky to walk into an unoccupied room and have the TV talk to us. Took us a few to figure out how to turn it all off.

Great location near Santa Barbara airport and the Amtrak surfliner train. The hotel is so clean, the grounds immaculate and the staff are just all so friendly. The complimentary breakfast has all you need to start your day. We were here for 5 nights. Thanks to all who made it such a great stay.
- judithc2013 (2/5): Unsafe Rooms - We checked into this Marriott, everything went well. We went out for lunch. On our return we discovered a man in our room. I was frightened. No indication of employee just work clothes. He said he was there to fix the sink but it was not leaking so he was checking the bathroom. I called front desk & they did not know of this. I freaked out. I requested another room. Waited & waited finally the man left!!! Then I got a call from head of plant maintenance apologizing & explaining that the system was down……. This was a frighting experience !!!

- Trip616627 (10/5): Nice Property & Great Staff - My husband and I had a wonderful time at Residence Inn in Goleta! It’s a beautiful property with full kitchens! They also have a pool and fun lawn games to play such as bean bag toss and ping pong. We loved being short driving distance from Santa Barbara and Montecito for shopping and dining. We were there for the James Taylor concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl and also the Botanical Gardens. The staff is fantastic and keep the hotel clean. We appreciated the daily breakfast as well. We look forward to another visit in the near future.

- hannahcE3447HT (10/5): Amazing Anniversary Stay - My husband and I went to Santa Barbara to celebrate our anniversary. When we arrived, Joey asked why we were visiting and when we let him know, he congratulated us and was so sweet! He was further so helpful with a document we needed to have printed. After we went out for the evening, we came back to a little bag of snacks and fun beverages. There was also a note in the bag further congratulating us on our anniversary. This was a great experience. Comfy bed, nice room, great breakfast selection, overall amazing staff and experience.

The hotel is very nice too, particularly the garden area. Pretty close to the airport and other places we needed to visit. I wish the breakfast would have had more fruit options.

Being myself an enthusiast for aircrafts, but having jetliners flying at 3 am and waking up cause of them - not that enthusiastic anymore :)

Hot tub could be hotter. Good location near the airport. Parking on property is $15 and it would be really nice if they provided a shuttle since the airport is a 5 minute drive away.
- O4442OZlaurau (10/5): The most beautiful residence inn in the world? - I stayed at the Residence Inn Santa Barbara Goleta while on a college trip with my daughter, June 2024. This is a beautiful hotel that I would highly recommend. The location is directly across the street from the Santa Barbara Airport. Our room was a studio suite with a kitchen and living room area. The room was quiet and comfortable. The gentleman that checked us in was very professional and even offered advice about the safety of the college campuses we had visited. There is a free breakfast which we slept through and a green courtyard area in the middle of the hotel. Also, I noticed a gym, laundry room and a business center on site. Overall, this is the most luxurious Residence Inn that I have ever seen. Highly recommend if you can find an affordable rate although all of the hotels in the area are priced in a similar range and this one is very nice. Parking was safe and secure, there is a fee, and there is really nothing within walking distance.

- wc592 (10/5): GREAT PLACE! GLAD THEY GOT RID OF FRANCINE - I gave this place another chance, and I'm glad I did. It appears that the horrific, unprofessional, rude, racist clerk named Francine is gone, THANKFULLY, as she ruined this hotel. This time, our experience couldn't have been better. The front-desk staff were the complete opposite of Francine this time around--they were polite, helpful, and engaging. The room was clean and well-appointed, although the dishes were dirty with crusted food (the maids should ALWAYS double-check this!). Still, the experience was so good that I don't want to deduct any stars. Besides the cleanliness of the room, the beds were comfortable and provided the best night's sleep in years. There was also a quaint little snack bar in the lobby with ice cream, snacks, and all sorts of goodies for a late-night craving. This place truly felt like a home-away-from home while I was visiting my sons up in Santa Barbara, and I would stay here again. I'm just so thankful that Residence Inn got rid of that nasty front-desk clerk Francine who was ruining their business! Kudos. Keep up the great work. -Chen

On arriving in less than 45 minutes we found our room had been given to some other party. We had been on a run and needed a shower. It was a great inconvenience. We were visiting family to watch the Super Bowl and had to go to their house unshowered.

- Art046 (10/5): Unexpected, Delightful Lodging - Goleta is not Santa Barbara but the location is still terrific at somewhat reduced rates from similar properties in Santa Barbara. Very welcoming staff, clean rooms, good room working area, Internet works, ample breakfast, and best of all - a very adequate small gym. Nearby restaurants and markets make long term stays sustainable. Wish there was no parking fee but that's the nature of corporate America.

- E1388QWtimt (4/5): Marginal Choice in Santa Barbara - Nickel and Diming Everywhere - We had stayed at this Residence Inn for a family event a couple of years ago. Sadly, the property has really gone downhill. As a lifetime Platinum elite, I figured it wasn't too much to ask for a room upgrade during our week-long stay, particularly since the hotel was not nearly full. But they just wouldn't do it. As a thank you for my Platinum loyalty, I was given a small paper bag with a 12-ounce bottle of water and an apple inside. I cherished that gift all through the week. When we checked in, our small studio had dirty underwear in the drawers near the bed, with stained carpet, black mold in the shower, and scuffed up walls. Even more relaxing, our room faced the courtyard and was in close proximity to an oversize chess set on the lawn. We were awoken before 8AM on our Sunday morning by a bunch of unsupervised kids bopping the huge plastic pieces all around. Checkmate indeed. When I asked to move rooms the next morning, my only option was to pay another $75 a night or so for a larger room on the 3rd floor. Over a course of 6 nights, we were given exactly one Keurig pod for the in-room machine. Not one pod per night. Just one pod total. I mentioned this to the operations manager, even to the maid down the hall with pods in her cart, but they just couldn't spare a 2nd pod. Good grief. Breakfast ends promptly at 9AM downstairs, with the doors slamming shut like a bank vault. They left the coffee pot out for a bit but couldn't leave out the half-and-half. That was also taken away like it was some rare 20-year-old Scotch. The hotel charges $15 a night for parking in a non-secure mostly empty parking lot. On our previous stay, parking was free. Snacks from the little market area next to the front desk are silly expensive - $6 bag of chips, $5 candy bar and so on. The elevator broke on our last night, so we had to lug everything downstairs for check out. We weren't staying expecting some Ritz Carlton experience. But for $350 to $400 a night - and yes - I know it's Santa Barbara - this was a poor value. We need to find a better option for our next family visit.

Wi-Fi good, bit slow at times. Welcome by Joshua very informative. Outside fire pits, pool, hot tub, ping pong. Included breakfast.

Need to provide instruction on wifi access. The shower handle was not good. It is hard to turn on because no clear indicator of where to turn the handle and you need to turn off extremely hard else the water will keep dripping and make dripping sound. Last is a $15 per day parking fee is expensive for a location not really part of downtown or anything...
