Guest Reviews
- gayle (10/5): Lovely, very reasonably priced, would pay more - Owners very welcoming, pleasant and friendly. Everywhere might be a little dated, but it was spotless, the breakfast was included in the price, and I cant fault it. All freshly made, presented well and tasted lovely. No cheap products either. Can't fault at all. On arrival, we realised the Mapel was a distance from the centre, BUT, we left the car on the driveway, hopped onto a tram, very good. Enjoyed it.
- Debbie (10/5): -
- Karen (9/5): - Clean, comfortable room, with lovely sea view.
We received a friendly welcome from the proprietor.
Nice breakfast served
- Curtis (8/5): - Staff was amazing and very welcoming, breakfast was nice we would definitely stay again many thanks š
- Vickie (10/5): - The hotel and staff were wonderful
- Andy Gleaves (6/5): Pleasant Promenade fronted hotel but not for us - The owner seemed very nice and her son and staff were pleasant and attentive. The room was nicely decorated, with two chairs, a soft double bed, coffee facilities and a nice hot shower. Breakfast was tasty with a selection of cereals, fruit juices (apple & orange) and Full English (bacon, sausage, fried egg, hash brown, mushrooms, beans and half-tomato). Yummy. The first floor hallway (servicing Rooms 1 & 2 and a separate toilet) had an unpleasant smell of 'used toilets' and was very off-putting. Thankfully we could only smell it in the hallway and not in the room. Although the room was nicely decorated etc it was poorly planned. The ensuite was too small to include a sink, so the sink was located at the bottom of the bed? The TV was the smallest that I've ever had in a hotel or B&B and it was located halfway across the room alongside the coffee facilities making it difficult to see. One minor detail, the door lock was fitted wonky. Finally, the walk down for breakfast in the mornings wasn't nice, with the smell of cooking bacon mixed with the smell of toilets (thankfully it didn't put us off our breakfast).
- Wendy (4/5): Not great - Property was clean Very dated and run down. Breakfast was between 9-9.30am and wouldn't accommodate outside of this time even to get a cup of tea!
- Stacey (8/5): Comfortable amd welcoming - The staff were so friendly. The breakfast was nice. Plenty of choice. We were in Blackpool to watch a show it was a gift so we didn't book where we stayed but it was a great choice
- Rob (3/5): Crap - Room was freezing cold on arrival, hoteliers skimping on saving pennies. Christine was lovely but nosey asking me all about why Iād come to stay at her hotel, seemed I was an alcoholic because Iād asked for a couple of drinks to take up to my room on arrival. And what a room tiny, bland, comfy bed though and had a shower n toilet, including sea view. Went out for the day got back around 9ish place was dead, bar was shut. Room was luke warm went to bed, heating had been on from around 7 to midnight, room freezing at 1am. Terrible nights sleep so cold, got up at 6am thought ill have a nice shower to warm me up and pop down for breakfast which I was told was 9am-9:30am but I was freezing so thought hot shower and go for a beach walk back for breakfast at 9am, no hot water FFS! Now Iām mad. Went to talk with Christine the hotelier, sheād forgot to mention, they donāt heat the hotel all day and that youāve got to run the freaking shower for 5 minutes before the hot water comes through, useful information, right! When I said Iād find a new hotel they refunded me the second night saying she didnāt have to as my booking wasnāt refundable after some half assed attempt to put it back onto my card they gave me cash, feels like fake notes. Called booking.com to advise id had no breakfast and have had hotter nights camping in winter than here and they give me a good will gesture of Ā£10. Completely ruined my annual leave and visit to the theme park. Letās hope they sell the place and let someone who can afford heating and hot water (you know, the basics), run the place!. Temperature, staff information, shower knowledge, breakfast, space and less fkn nosy

- Green (10/5): Lovely owners, lovely apartment, will 100% go again - Apartment was lovely and clean, fresh decor It was all good
- Kim (7/5): - Not the best but didnāt really eat it Breakfast
- Lindsey (10/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): Warm friendly b&b - Owners very welcoming. Clean room. Lovely breakfast. Tram stop right outside. Parking available nearby. Lack of parking in front of hotel. Very compact bedroom but fine for our one night stay.
- Gary (7/5): Had a pleasant stay, staff are very friendly welcoming and good at their jobs - Staff and locations were great for locat travel options. The breakfast was very good. Shower room was a good size.. Being on 2nd floor, no lift, view of front wasn't brilliant. Lighting in room wasn't brilliant decor in room was a bit dated.
- Kerrigan (8/5): - The balcony + ameneties in the room make it very desireable The door
- Sherin (10/5): Well managed family business, friendly staff, excellent English breakfast and the sausages were great!! Will definitely - Clean, well managed friendly family run hotel, right outside tram/bus stops Nothing to say here
- Terry (4/5): Not worth the money came home a day early - The breakfast was ok and the staff were friendly The bed only had 1 pillow was to far out of town more of a back street b&b than a hotel and the place was very dated could do with a revamp the tv signal was shocking and the bar was shut on a Saturday night !
- David (5/5): - Friendly. Good breakfast and location Room was cold heating wasn't on at tea time when we were getting ready for a night out. Was too cold to have a shower.
- Dalia (10/5): -
- Kerry (5/5): Friendly staff & good breakfast - The staff where friendly & hotel location opposite the sea The bedroom was very cold
- Jodie (10/5): Lovely stay, run by a mother and son, I asked for another pillow and they was very quick to sort for me. Great location - Nice quiet area, only 3 stops away from the town centre on the tram.
- Dalziel (10/5): -

- Andrew (8/5): Great value, very clean, quite and comfortable. - The hotel was very clean and tidy. Our welcome was warm and pleasant. Our room ticked all of the boxes I required. Warm, dry and clean with the simplest amenities provided with excellent execution.
- Samantha (6/5): - The view and the owners were very accommodating
- Jenny (8/5): - The sea view, it was clean, the front of house lady was very nice and welcoming. The breakfast was good also. Wifi not strong enough to reach the room we were in and not enough pillows.
- Michelle (9/5): Nice little hotel for our stay in Blackpool, staff were very welcoming, rooms very clean and perfect for what we needed, - Clean and staff very welcoming
- Hannah (10/5): -
- Dan (9/5): - Very clean and cosy

- jiby (7/5): -
- Hayley (8/5): Nice sea view property - The breakfast was lovely, enough there to start the day The stairs
- Claire (8/5): - Beautiful breakfast, clean warm rooms, comfy beds and amazing staff who always go above and beyond. Lovely hotel. N/A
- Paul (8/5): - Very clean & welcoming, breakfast was great. Will stay here again.
- Stephen (10/5): Felt warm and staff very welcoming - Nice and clean, comfortable Nothing
- Richard (5/5): Family room - The owners were very friendly and made you feel very welcome Very oldie worldy with a traditional English breakfast. Only having 1 pillow on the beds, not being able to change channels on the TV without getting a hazy picture or no picture.
The bar not being open or having the option to buy from the bar.
- Melanie (9/5): - The landlady was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and there was a lovely seaview. Can't think of anything.
- ROB (1/5): -
- Leslie (1/5): Real poor - Nothing No eating it was so cold fire alarm when off at middle of the night
- Nick (6/5): Not the best stay ever... - Lovely staff and food was good. Plenty of coffee and Tea left in room daily. Clean but a bit dated. The bed was awful. Badly worn spring mattress and was unable to sleep in the same bed. My fiancee ended up sleeping on the floor. Also. Only one pillow each and the quilt was about half an inch thick.
- Jenny (8/5): - Very nice breakfast. The hosts very friendly. There was no lift . We were on the top floor but we made it. X
- Lindsey (10/5): Excellent stay, will definitely be staying again but for more than 1 night next time. - Lovely an clean, bedroom was well presented, comfy bed. Hosts were friendly, welcoming, couldn't do enough, breakfast was amazing, my husband likes his bacon crispy which wasn't a problem, very friendly, took time to chat. We stay in a lot of b and b's in blackpool, but this is the best one we have stayed in for everything, will be definitely staying here every time we go to Blackpool. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Beverley (10/5): A hidden gem - Chris and Gary amazing hosts. Spotlessly clean. We had the apartment with amazing sea view and view of the illuminations right upto the tower. Opposite a tram stop which was very convenient. A hidden gem! We'll definately be back! Oh and the brekkie was great too, piping hot and good ingredients š„° Nothing not to like
- Claire (10/5): Girly night away - The service from Christine and Gary was unbelievable,They was amazing! We all felt so welcomed ,The Room was clean tidy/warm the breakfast was spot on in the morning! They couldn't do enough for us ! We will definitely be back . N/A
- Deborah (10/5): Clean, comfortable and amazing breakfast. Highly recommend - Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Owner and her son were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing
- Vincent (6/5): - Super breakfast Room a bit small
- Sarah (7/5): - Staff were extremely helpful to me in a very difficult situation. Thanks for being soo understanding.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and we will definitely return next time we visit Blackpool. We would not stay anywhere else. Thanks again for another fabulous stay.
- Louise (1/5): Couldnāt stay. Had to book somewhere else - On arrival no parking but informed plenty of backstreet parking in Blackpool, apparently itās a hotel because of how many rooms it has but only has three parking spots, one mile walk to tower, black bedding a definite no no for BnB, red flag! Room tiny and 12ā tv high on wall, too many red flags and left booking bigger hotel, costing me a nights booking just to get out Location, parking, size of room, black bedding, shady building works next door.
- Waring (6/5): - The owners were very friendly. The room itself was clean and tidy, a little on the small side but exactly as advertised. Good value for money for a B&B in Blackpool. The breakfast was nice but standard. Maybe a little more choice of cold cuts, yogurts, cereal etc would be appreciated. The shower enclosure in room was very small and the controls rather hard to fathom, although that said the room was a small double and the water was always hot so not a grumble really. The front steps up to the property are rather steep and the entrance way narrow so bear in mind not easily accessible for disabled or less abled guests. The mattress was not very comfortable. Probably could do with an upgrade there.
- Peter (1/5): -
- Katrina (10/5): - The friendly welcome of staff when we arrived very helpful, we thought the whole accommodation was clean, the room and beds were comfy and clean with good heating , the breakfast was nice and organised good and staff went out thier way to help with anything. There wasn't anything we didn't like would recommend
- Alan (5/5): - Breakfast Bed was wobbly expecting it to collapse room was very box standard nothing special. Bit to expensive for what it was .
- Mark (8/5): Friendly hosts. OK, stay. - The location was good, staff friendly. It was warm and cosy. Breakfast was OK. No blackout curtains. Very small room. There was no housekeeping, so we had fridays takeaway in our room until Sunday. Black bedding and dark grey towels. Very small tv. Breakfast was nice, but basic 1 bacon 1 sausage 1 toast choice of 3 Cereal no fruit. No privacy because the room next door had excess to balcony, so they potentially stand outside the window just needed a divide putting up. Just a few small changes could make a big difference.
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Georgina (10/5): -
- gillian (1/5): Not good - The couple really nice breakfast nice beautiful seafront room Leaky windows rain through wet whistling windows had to put towels card tissues in windows to many stairs radiators cold 1hr in morn 1 hr night on sent pictures to maple by e mail off card in windows it was my 70th birthday treat
- Cheryl (10/5): -
- Denise (9/5): - Peaceful location. Lovely sea views. Comfortable, clean room. Very welcoming hostess. Very handy for tram stop. Good breakfast.
- Joanne (7/5): -
- desouza Nicky (10/5): -
- Lynn (6/5): -
- Lindsay (9/5): - The Owner and family were very friendly, accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely, clean, spacious and a very comfy bed. Breakfast was hot and cooked beautifully, my dietary needs were met completely without any problem. Will definitely be returning. A lot of stairs to climb.
- emma (8/5): -
- Lyndsey (10/5): Would definitely return to this hotel š - The hotel was right opposite the beach and the tram stop. The owners were so friendly and helpful and made the kids feel welcome too š Breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day. Was a very pleasant stay and would definitely return š Really couldnāt find any fault.
- Janine (5/5): Not very enjoyable - N/A Past its sell by date, rooms very small and didnāt smell very good
- Carl (8/5): Blackpool is not what it once was but we still had a good time,so we will possibly return, plus the weather was excellent - Our room over looked the sea which we liked very much and to say it was on a main road it was very quiet on a night time.Breakfast was excellent both my wife and I ate well.If we visit Blackpool again which I am sure we will we would stop here again.Staff were very friendly and helpful and polite, all in all we had a lovely 2 nights, thankyou very much. Nothing really
- Rhasphal (1/5): -
- Haish (10/5): -
- Jason (10/5): - The staff were very friendly from the moment we arrived to when we left. Couldn't do enough to help and make us comfortable especially when one of us was extremely ill. Breakfast was served and presented very well and they went the extra mile to accommodate a vegetarian. No complaints at all Nothing
- William (10/5): -
- Ashleigh (10/5): Perfect for families - Can't praise the hotel and staff enough for the excellent customer service, they took their time to get to know our family and always were available to chat with us and our children about our day and what we got upto on our stay even suggested places to go to such as the wizard golf and places to eat, breakfast was good and you can customise it to your taste and know it was freshly cooked with a good verity to choose from, room was clean and beds were comfortable, the shower was easy to operate and good water pressure. Great access to both bus routes and tram lines on the doorstep,
- gilpin (6/5): - The bar could do with updating everything else was perfect staff was lovely stairs was abit awkward for me could do with a lift Mattress to hard
- Anthony (9/5): -
- elizabeth (10/5): Lovely stay - We had a great stay. Lovely hosts, who made us and our grandson very welcome. Great breakfast with plenty choice. Room was spacious and very clean. Excellent location. We would stay againš
- Abera (9/5): Good hote - I liked that it wasn't to far from the piers I didn't like that it didn't have a TV and it didn't have a kitchen
- Hanna (10/5): A peaceful stay with stunning ocean views and the kindest hosts - Where to begin? A beautiful apartment with a huge balcony overlooking the ocean. The apartment had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Itās worth mentioning that the Wi-Fi doesnāt reach the apartment, but that wasnāt a big issue for us.
There was some construction work being done on the faƧade (which didnāt bother us, the balcony was still fully usable), and we were even given free breakfast as compensation, which turned out to be delicious.
The hotel is located slightly outside central Blackpool in a very peaceful area, but itās easy to get to the centre by tram or have a lovely walk along the ocean.
Christine and the others who run the place are such warm and kind people. We were so happy with our stay and would love to return.
Out of all our stays during our Euro-trip, this was our favourite. We liked all of it
- Lesley (9/5): Great hotel with lovely owners - Great, clean and comfortable hotel, lovely owners, great location for us. Breakfast is fab Nothing
- Sharon (9/5): Would definitely recommend - This hotel was well located. The room was adequate and beautifully clean. The breakfast was exceptional. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. We were on the top floor which was a little difficult, due to my husband having an injured knee, but we had a beautiful view and it was nice and quiet.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast is excellent as is everything else. Loved my stay.
- Rachel (3/5): Poor -
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - Balcony apartment was beautiful well worth the money. Nothing
- Julian (9/5): We were very happy with everything at the hotel and had a very nice time thanks to the owners - Breakfast was excellent and the location was good and the people that owned this hotel were brilliant they asked us every day if we needed anything .The next time we come to Blackpool we will be staying there. There was nothing at the hotel that we didn't like
- Valerie (5/5): Staff lovely location but far out from centre of Blackpool , the price we paid was a bit disappointing - Breakfast was good Needed updating
- Andrea (10/5): Warm welcoming and comfortable - Staff were amazing breakfast was fab and very comfortable bed, would highly recommend Nothing
- Mark (7/5): Really good value for money.would stay again - Clean and easily accessible N/A
- Darrel (10/5): Very happy and would recommend to anyone - Fantastic owners , couldnāt do enough for us and weāre so welcoming . Only negative was the stairs to the room for my electrolytes father . Maybe some better hand rails just to help with mobility .
- Kayley (9/5): Superb -
- Antony (9/5): Superb -
- Keri (8/5): Decent value at the quieter end of Blackpool - A pleasant little B&B on the seafront a little way out of the hubbub of Blackpool city centre. It's walkable from Blackpool North, though there is a tram stop nearby. The rooms are quite plain but clean and comfortable. I was greeted by the owner who was very friendly and helpful. I didn't get to try the breakfast unfortunately, as I was in town for the marathon which meant an early start!
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional - The owners were the best and couldn't do enough and will return perfect I didn't not like anything the breakfast fast top notch and thank u so much for a lovely stay
- Victoria (9/5): We would definitely go back. Loved the old world charm of the B+B took me right back. - The breakfast was really good, freshly cooked. The host was very attentive and efficient.
The room was comfy. The view was nice but the windows restricted some of the view.
It is an old building and has loads of the old world Blackpool charm that takes me back to my childhood.
The location was perfect with a tram stop right outside.
We will definitely go back. Nothing really. It is full of the old world charm of Blackpool a proper tradition B+B. It's not modern but perfectly clean and very comfy beds. If you are looking for modern this isn't for you.
- Connell (7/5): Enjoyable. - Food, host, location, breakfast. Only one pillow each. Better TV required.
