• Laura (7/5): Anlage sehr schön, Zimmer hat uns enttäuscht - Das Anwesen ist sehr schön hergerichtet & auch der Pool und die Aussensitze überzeugen! Leider war unser Zimmer etwas klamm und ist das aufgrund der Nordausrichtung auch geblieben. Da die Anlagenbeleuchtung direkt auf unser Fenster gerichtet war, könnte man aufgrund der Mücken nachts auch nicht wirklich lüften. Darüber hinaus waren sehr viele Spinnen bei uns im Zimmer, auch das Bad wurde nicht sehr gründlich gereinigt, hier waren noch Haare der vorherigen Gäste am Föhn.

The morning receptionist was extremely friendly and professional lending me an adaptor when mine didn t seem to work. Thank you. Weird policy . In order to change to a more expensive room for my 3rd night (separately booked) i d still have to get out of the 1st room by 11 and check in again in at 3. No one cleans all rooms at exactly 11 o clock). Being on a 7 hour jetlag this was too rough for me .it wouldn t have minded paying the more expensive price to stay in the same room. So i left. It looks like many trainees are working there and they could use more oversight This could be only in my room 303 but wifi only worked in 1 spot.

• Abbey (10/5): Outstanding hotel - truly unique - This is my 2nd visit to the hotel. It really is something special and idea for celebrations! The 360 view is amazing. The rooms are so authentically and tastefully decorated. The beds are extremely comfortable. tea and coffee making facilities along with a fridge in the room. The pool area is secluded with plenty of sun loungers for the size of the pool. The gardens and terraces where you can enjoy for and drink are truly stunning. There is a large restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

Ci hanno dato delle stanze migliori di quelle che avevamo prenotato in quanto libere, che ci hanno detto essere policy della struttura. Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto usufruire della piscina, dei massaggi o di altri servizi per via dei tempi del nostro viaggio, ma sicuramente l'avremmo fatto. Il personale molto gentile, Monda molto accogliente. Abbiamo molto gradito anche gli omaggi trovati nel frigobar al nostro arrivo, due roscos de vino e una boccettina di olio di Monda - molto buono - che abbiamo portato con noi in Italia.

• Barbara (7/5): - Wir waren das 2.x im Hotel Castillo und auch im gleichen Zimmer. Im Vergleich zum ersten mal, hat es im Zimmer leider nach unangenehmen Kanalgeruch gerochen. Die Hunde vom Ort tagsüber als auch nachts unaufhörlich gebellt. Diese 2 Dinge haben unsere Nacht leider überdeckt, denn ich liebe diesen Platz, das Hotel und seine Ausstattung. Den wunderschönen Garten, die sonnig gelegene Terrasse als auch den weiten Blick über das Land. Das Essen war wieder sensationell gut und ich würde auch nächstes mal wieder im Restaurant buchen. Eventuell hätte es auch bessere Zimmer gegeben, sollte ich wiederkommen, werde ich diese anfragen. Liebe Grüße Barbara und Familie Das Bellen der Hunde, welches unaufhörlich und laut war. • Norman Anderson (10/5): Amazing hotel - Staff are amazing and really friendly and welcoming. The views from the hotel are stunning, it feels like such a special place, just walking around the hotel is a cool experience unlike any other hotel. The rooms are nice, newly refurbished with still a lovely style. The breakfast is lovely. Service at bar/restaurant is great, friendly and helpful. We've been several times and always look forward to being back :) A couple rooms on the 5th floor are near the door that swings and slams shut by the lift which is a noisy area for those who will like a little lie in. As soon as I mentioned this to the reception they worked hard to accommodate a room swap to down the end of the corridor on the 4th floor where it was nice and quiet. • Robin (10/5): Lovely views! - We had a lovely room with big windows. The view was so amazing. We sat in the chairs by the big double windows and just looked out at the view for the longest time. Cute garden area. We ate in the cafe rather than the restaurant. The food (Wild Boar Stew) was good. Staff were friendly and spoke English well. Air conditioning worked well. Nice private parking area. I can’t think of anything.

• Sis (10/5): - Die Lage ist einzigartig. Man sieht über die Hügellandschaft. Unser Zimmer war groß genug und komfortabel. Aber unsere Freunde hatten ein kleineres Turmzimmer zum gleichen Preis ( Nr. 503), das sehr klamm kühl und umständlich zu erreichen war.

Food in bar good - beef burger essentially raw (a personal dislike) but the pizza and salad were excellent. Restaurant service was at times lacking, mistakes made with our order. Bedroom floor cold and uncomfortable, a couple of bedside rugs would be appreciated. Otherwise good sized room with a lovely balcony and view of the mountains and olive groves. TV in bedroom small and poor quality. Hotel just not quite as good as it should have been. Lacked the feeling of quality and was felt rather bare. Bathroom had no heating at all.

• Dr (3/5): - The location I became unwell shortly after my stay, likely due to food poisoning within the first day. Unfortunately, I had to leave early to seek medical attention and was not able to use the extra night I had booked, which was not refunded. Overall, this made the experience quite disappointing.
• Richard (9/5): Don’t pass this place by, it’s a gem. Will definitely be back - The staff were so welcoming and polite. Showed us to the room which was spacious with a lovely balcony view. The bar and restaurant are excellent and good value. We sat around the pool for a couple of hours to relax with a drink. The gardens are sheltered and well kept, lots of little places to relax. Oh driving up the hill in a car was fine but have your wits about you if you’re on a motorcycle. My only gripe was the dogs on a farm down below, started barking around 05:00.

• Agita (8/5): - The property itself is beautiful and very well-maintained. We were especially impressed by the reception staff, who were incredibly helpful and welcoming. There were two main issues. First, the sound insulation in the rooms is quite poor, and you can clearly hear neighbors in the adjacent rooms. Second, the dinner service was disappointing. Although there were only about 6 tables occupied in total throughout the evening and 2–3 waiters on duty, the service was very slow. We ordered a main course, bread, and water, but had to ask for the bread three times. It was finally served just one minute before the main course. Given the low number of guests, the service should have been much more efficient.

• Paul (6/5): Pleasant weekend away with stunning views but not the vibe we expected - The views were probably what we liked the most about this hotel, plus the patio area below the pool. Staff were very polite and helpful on the whole. It wasn't as quiet or as peaceful as we would have expected. There's music wherever you go, be it the bar, the restaurant or the pool and it was always on the loud side. By the pool there were several people trying to read and relax - but the Madonna and Michael Jackson playlist wasn't really fitting for the setting! We did ask if it could at least be turned down at one point but the music still continued quite loud.

• B542FIrichardl (10/5): Castle on the hill - Hotel Castillo De Monda genuinely is the castle on the hill. A blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. We upgraded to a superior room upon arrival which had the added benefit of a large private sun terrace. Reception staff were lovely and most helpful when I needed them There are restaurants in Monda village which are more authentic than the hotel restaurant. To be expected really. We will definitely be returning.

I couldn’t fault the hotel in any way apart from the restaurant food which we found to lack taste. We stayed in Room 400A and due to the additional exterior door it would have been beneficial to have two room keys so that we didn’t wake the neighbours in 400 by knocking to get in.

Er is een lunchkaart met kleine gerechtjes en een goed restaurant. Het hotel ligt afgelegen. Het dorpje Monda is authentiek maar niet speciaal of charmant
• Annelie (8/5): Väldigt trevlig personal och maten var jättebra. - Fantastisk miljö Rummet var inte nyrenoverat så det var lite slitet. Vi bodde på rum 409 det var väldigt lyhört, ovanifrån.
• Vesa (10/5): Aivan fantastinen sijainti, hieno palvelut ja ystävällinen henkilökunta - Huoneen sai etuajassa (klo 13) ja olisi saanut pitää pienellä lisämaksulla pidempään. Henkilökunta oli todella ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Uima-allas mahdollisuus tuli yllätyksenä.

• maykevs (10/5): A total reset for my whole body and mind - This was my second time staying at Castillo Manda, and returning truly felt like coming home. From the very first moment, there was that same sense of calm, warmth, and deep comfort that makes this place so special. Castillo Mando is an incredibly beautiful and peaceful retreat, with a breathtaking view that never gets old. The atmosphere is serene, refined, and welcoming all at once. The staff are exceptionally kind and caring — genuinely warm people who make you feel seen and looked after. The breakfast is delicious, the bar is cozy and inviting, and the restaurant serves wonderful food. The rooms are spotless, the beds extremely comfortable, and everything feels thoughtfully cared for. If you truly want to relax, I cannot recommend the massage enough. It is the greatest gift you can give yourself. Maria was simply extraordinary. She touched me in every fiber of my being — allowing tears to flow, my heart to open again, and my nervous system to gently shift into a state of deep, complete relaxation. It was a profoundly healing experience. For me, one week here was far too short. I already know with absolute certainty that I will return. Castello Mandam has left a lasting impression on my heart.
