• Lian (5/5): A decent stay with lovely views, but best suited for those who aren’t sensitive to noise or insects. - The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The view from the property was beautiful, and the overall setting was peaceful. The owner’s son was friendly and spoke English well, which helped us feel more at ease. The room felt a bit stuffy, and we were disturbed by loud noises in the mornings and evenings, possibly from a washing machine. The owners’ children were also quite noisy at night. We found many bees in our room and later discovered a beehive below our room, which could be dangerous for those with allergies. Communication was difficult when the son wasn’t around.

We had a balcony with nice mountain view. The son Speaks very good english and gave us many Information to Visit the area around Ninh Binh. So we Visited Bird valley that was not so touristic. The washbasin had a licking sink so the sewage ran over the bathroom floor. The homestay was closed early at the evening, you had to Ring the bell.

• Natalie (9/5): Homely and beautiful, we had the best time! - We love Sierra Homestay so much we returned to stay here again 4 years later! The rooms are beautiful with an incredible view of the mountains through the huge windows, and in a fantastic location for exploring Ninh Binh. The family are so lovely and couldn't be more helpful, using Google translate to chat across the language barrier, and even teaching my partner and I to ride mopeds that they rented to us for a great price. Our friends also borrowed bicycles. They made us feel so welcome and we loved exploring based on their recommendations! We would love to come back again in the future. Nothing! It seems footfall has been much quieter for homestays around Ninh Binh since Covid-19, so the only thing that would make us happier is seeing more people visit Sierra! <3

• Emma (10/5): Best place to stay! - The family who owns this hotel is so sweet. Tan showed us all of the nearby attractions that we should go to, and even taught us how to ride the moped. The room was also great- it was the perfect size, very clean, and comfortable. We loved the location- close to beautiful nature and a few restaurants. It was the perfect place to base ourselves while exploring Trang An.
• Michał (10/5): Great place to stay in Trang An - We were welcomed by our host and got local map with roads not visible on Google Maps for easier exploration of surrounding areas. Room with large window and beautiful view on the mountain. Helpful stuff, motorbike with full tank which is great no brainer for tourists, etc. We were dropped by our host to make it for our evening bus to next location. Shower drain is slightly clogged. Also, three must be some hole near window as bees were able to make it in at pace 1 new bee per day.

The staff was extremely friendly, they were extremely helpful in helping us find buses, bikes, and different ways to transport to different places. • Cristian (10/5): Come here and you won't regret - It's such a great place seeing very few tourists nowadays. We came in off season and were the only customers. The location is good because it provides easy access to the usual attractions without being in a noisy area. We arrived at 5am and were allowed an early check-in which was many hours before the official one. Same thing also happened at checkout. The family tries hard to make sure you are getting the most of your time and will help with anything they can. The owners children speak English and if they aren't there is always the option of making a phone call.

• Anonymous (10/5): A must stay in Ninh Binh! - The staff were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond with letting us check in and check out way later than the expected times. They also gave us free fruit every day and made us banh mi free of charge. Lots of things to do close by and the owner was very helpful with all the information. I hate to say it because we loved them so much, but their son cried a lot and we could hear it all the way from the 4th floor. It was very echoey.

We were able to borrow bikes and explore the area. So close to the sights. But our favourite part was sharing fruit with the family and using a translator app to share stories. 🥰

Tân and his family are the nicest and most helpful people, and Tân really meant a lot for our experience in Ninh Binh. He recommended us the best places and routes, taught my sister to drive a motorbike and even played a little music for us during dinner in the evening. The rooms are new and clean and have amazing views. Cannot recommend enough!
• alan (8/5): Quite friendly homestay. - Very friendly and welcoming family and staff. Clean comfortable rooms with great views. It was cold when we were there so having the aircon switched to heating was a boon. The food was good and filling which was appreciated, as the nearest restaurants and shops are 10 minutes walk away. Breakfasts are freshly prepared but as this is a small hotel it is not buffet style, it is nonetheless filling and tasty. Bikes and motorcycles are available for hire at the hotel.

Sierra Homestay is close to beautiful sights, the Tràng An boat trip and you will be offered a motorbike to travel around.
