- Paul (10/5): Magical stay in Franschoek - L'Auberge Chanteclair was a truly magical place to stay. It's tranquil setting amongst the vineyards and the mountains is exceptinal. Allan and Yvonne were outstanding host. Were particularly enjoyed all the recommendations for local wineries and restaurants. The cottage (Studio) we stayed in was very spacious and charming, with lots of special finishing touches like the linenes. We also very much enjoyed the delicious breakfast with many ingredients sourced from the hotel gardens and served on delightful crockery. Overall, this was an amazing place to stay in Franschoek and we would definitely retun to L'Auberge Chanteclair. Nothing

Sehr anschaulich zubereitet, alles was unser Herz begehrte war dabei. Tolle Früchte. Man saß in einem super schön angelegten Garten. Die Vermieter waren ausgesprochen nett und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr großzügig, mit einem Kühlschrank. Es standen selbst gebackene Kekse bereit und man konnte sich jederzeit einen Wein (auf Abrechnung) holen. Das Zimmer verfügt zwar über ein Gebläse, hat aber keine Klimaanlage. Das wäre ein Verbesserungspotential.

- Daniela (10/5): Traumhafter Aufenthalt in paradiesischer Umgebung - Es ist der perfekte Ort, mit einem wahnsinnig tollen Garten, die Besitzer sind sehr nett und geben einen viele Tipps um die Gegend zu erkunden oder um die besten Lokale zu finden. Das Frühstück ist sooo lecker mit Buttermilch Omletts, sehr vielen vielen frischen Früchten. Wir haben uns rundherum sehr wohl gefühlt! Nichts - alles war perfekt!

He also helps all the guest with excursions tips. Together with a breathtaking deck view of the mountains in his backyard, this place is worth visiting! We like everything. From their breakfast to their laid-back pool. There was a headwave during our stay, which pointed out the one thing we missed…airconditioning. O well..we lived!

The whole property is just a dream, and our room was spacious with a fantastic terrace with garden view. The location is great, just 5 minutes outside of town but it feels like you are in the countryside. However, it's the attention to detail that makes a good stay great, and this was our experience. When we visit Franschhoek this is the place to stay and we will be back !

Not to mention the amazing hospitality of Allan and Yvonne. Allan is a brilliant host, he is very attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to share recommendations. The breakfast was to die for. The attention to detail with which every meal and juice is prepared is remarkable. The room was very spacious and comfortable. They also offer amazing wines at a very reasonable price. No negatives come to mind.

Das sehr nette Ehepaar ist stets bemüht den Gästen alle Wünsche zu erfüllen z. B. auch mit einem perfekten Frühstück mit täglich wechselnden Smoothies von der Chefin selbst erstellt. Wir würden dort sofort wieder hinfahren.

Allan and Yvonne are such lovely people, their entire staff is brilliant, the breakfast is exceptional and I can’t wait to go back. One of the best places to stay at in Franschhoek. It’s just a bit difficult to find as the location on Booking isn’t fully accurate - you have to keep driving up the road and then it’s on the left.

Echt een aanbeveling! - Ons verblijf in L’auberge Sante Claire was echt uitzonderlijk in elk opzicht. Gelegen op een werkend landgoed in het hart van Franschhoek, het was ongelooflijk rustig en heerlijk rustig - de perfecte plek om te ontspannen en tot rust komen. Allan en Yvonne waren uitstekende gastheren: warm, gastvrij en ongelooflijk goed geïnformeerd. Allan deed zijn uiterste best om ons te helpen reserveringen bij fantastische restaurant, en onvergetelijke wijnproeverijen of fietsen te regelen. We kwamen aan bij een koelkast gevuld met ijs en een fles van hun prachtige Chenin Blanc, een doordachte en royale touch die ons onmiddellijk thuis voelen. Onze studio was mooi en en alles was op en top perfect, met uitzicht op de prachtige tuinen en wijngaarden met een heerlijk vers ontbijt geserveerd elke ochtend GEEN

The property has great views. They also have their own wine production, and it was one of the best Malbec I ever had! I'm certainly looking forward to my next stay at L'Auberge Chanteclair.

- Sean (10/5): Exceptional Stay - Outstanding Hospitality - We had a truly excellent stay and couldn’t fault it. What really made the experience special was the warm and genuine hospitality shown by all the staff, in particular Allan and Yvonne, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Both rooms we stayed in were incredibly comfortable, very spacious, and immaculately clean. The property itself is peaceful and quiet, yet perfectly located close to Franschhoek, feeling very safe and well looked after. Breakfast each morning was exceptional – made with fresh, local ingredients, many of them sourced directly from the farm on the property, which really added to the experience. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and we would highly recommend it. We would happily return. N/A - All was excellent.

The setting is stunning - it’s situated quietly at the foot of the vines with beautiful grounds and a lovely garden that feels incredibly peaceful and relaxing. It was a pleasure to have Allan show us around the grounds himself. Following that with a glass of their own excellent wine on the terrace, while taking in the views in both directions, was a real highlight. The hosts, Allan and Yvonne, and their team are very welcoming. Allan was incredibly helpful with local recommendations, suggesting some wonderful restaurants in town and nearby estates to visit. The house has a wonderful, homely feel, and while the rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable, it’s the attention to detail that really stands out. Breakfast each morning was sublime - freshly prepared with lovely touches like homemade juices and beautifully displayed fruits. It’s a truly exceptional place and we would love to stay here again in the future

- Michael (10/5): Two nights at Vine Cottage close to Franschhoek - Allan & Yvonne were very welcoming and the accommodation was clean and spotless. The setting is lovely. Most importantly the large bed was firm and very comfortable and the breakfast exceptional. Lovely touches such as homemade juices and beautifully displayed fruits, meats and cheeses. Sitting watching the bird life from our balcony was a real pleasure. Close to Franschhoek although slightly too far to walk when the temperature’s warm. We’re 76 & 77. We’d try to book if we ever visited the town again.

The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean, with very comfortable beds. The entire property feels peaceful and elegant, with attention to every detail. The pool area is pristine, quiet, and inviting, surrounded by a lovely garden that creates a romantic and relaxing atmosphere. Everything is designed to make guests feel comfortable and at home. -

- Michael (10/5): Heaven on Earth - Das ist ein kleines Stück vom Paradies. Traumhafte Landschaft, eine wunderschöne Anlage und hinreißende Gastgeber. Hier wird alles mit Liebe und Hingabe gemacht. Es gibt sehr guten eigenen Wein. Der Pool ist top. Das Frühstück ist einfach fantastisch. Manchem ist es vielleicht etwas „zu weit vom Schuss“. Ich fand das gerade gut, da es herrlich ruhig ist. In 15 Minuten ist man auch zu den Restaurants gelaufen.

- Andrew (10/5): Not to be underestimated. - There was a friendly, knowledgeable team who could make recommendations and knew the area well, they provided a high level of personal service with professionalism and the right level of attention to small details that made the stay both relaxing and enjoyable. The room was set out well, with large and comfy bed and clean, modern bathroom that was beautifully designed and appointed. It was a very short walk to town but also very easy to get a taxi if preferred. It would be hard to find somewhere that balances the feeling of remote living with proximity to the town. There was a stunning view from the terrace in both directions. Sitting in the evening with a glass of wine was sublime. Leaving.

- Anne (10/5): L'Auberge Chanteclair was pure heaven in Franschoek - highly recommend! - L'Auberge Chanteclair was exceptional in every way! Our host Allan showed me around the property, and the grounds were absolutely gorgeous - so serene and peaceful. The room was large and beautifully appointed. The breakfasts were amazing, and the special 5:45pm cocktail hour with Chanteclair's own Chenin Blanc was a nice extra touch. Everything was a short taxi ride away. I cannot say enough good things about this property. I wish I was staying for much longer! Nothing! It was perfect in every way.

- Jörg (10/5): Nur zu empfehlen! - Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Allan begrüßt. Er zeigte uns alles ausführlich. Wir fühlten uns sofort wohl. Man hat einen tollen Ausblick auf die Berge, kann einen Spaziergang über das weitläufige Gelände machen. Es gibt eigenen Wein, den wir auch gerne getrunken haben. Allan hat uns viele Tipps für Unternehmungen, Restaurants oder Weingüter gegeben.Wir konnten auf der Terrasse frühstücken . Es gab jeden Morgen einen leckeren selbstgemachten Saft, frisches Obst und vieles mehr. Alles wurde mit Liebe zubereitet .Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich von der Putzfrau über die Köchin bis hin zum Nachtwächter , der abends ein Feuer im Kamin machte und natürlich Casey, die Hündin, die sich gerne eine Streicheleinheit abholte😊 Nicht zu vergessen, dass wir kurzfristig noch 2 Nächte länger bleiben konnten dank Allan und Yvonne! Wir mussten nach 4 Tagen diesen schönen , ruhigen Ort wieder verlassen, weil es zurück nach Germany ging.

Собственные виноградники, озеро, можно гулять даже на территории. Очень приветливые хозяева, восхитительный завтрак. Настоятельно рекомендую. Можно добавить в номер тапочки.

The surrounding are splendid, breakfast is abundant and delicious, rooms have all you need and when it gets chilly at night they light a fire in the inside seating room. The hosts are also very friendly and happy to help with any query. You get a quick tour of the property on arrival. This place is just stunning.

Het bed was echt aan vervanging toe. Jammer te horen bij het uitchecken dat wij de enige nog te renoveren kamer hadden. Dan vraag je je af waarom heb ik die gekregen als ik al in Juni geboekt heb…

Allan & Yvonne are wonderful hosts serving a great breakfast outside on the patio if the weather permits. Nothing, everything was just perfect.

Alles in einer sehr hohen Qualität und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gemacht. Phänomenales Frühstück. Durch die geringe Zimmeranzahl auch sehr persönlich und ruhig. Wir hatten sogar einen eigenen Kamin im Cottage.

- Julie (10/5): Relaxing, would go back again - Allan & his wife were so friendly & accommodating, they gave us great tips on where to go for great food ect.. we stayed in Vine cottage & it was lovely , Allan lit the fire on our last night as the weather turned cold & it was lovely to sit there in front of the fire after a busy day of site seeing and relax. The breakfasts were also do delicious! The bed was a bit hard for us but we are used to a pillow top bed , nothing really to fault about the property though
