- marcia bonotto (1/5): - Recepcao.the,booking did not,informed,us,that,we have,to pay In,advance deposit.,it,little trick.,
The,shower only work, very, hot water. I burned my,hands. I,saw insect. In,the, room. I have never feel SAFE in the night there. It is very VERY bad athmosfere. No recomended for anybody. Very bad bad experience. Booking.com,Authorities should do inspection this hotel.
- Richard (10/5): - Cozy All good
- Carlington (4/5): - After booking the guest house, we got hit with extra charges for things we expected at other rentals. If you need housekeeping, additional charge. If you drive a car, additional charge for parking. They sell items in their lobby that are overpriced. The area for parking is not paved and if it rains, water settles in the area so you're literally tracking water into your car or into the rooms. I came to the room one day and found no water in any of the sinks however it was out for just a few minutes.
The rooms are advertised as non-smoking but as soon as we entered our room for the first time, it smelled like smoke. We had to get air fresheners to spray out the room. There is an area near to the rooms that is marked for smoking but it is still close to the rooms
The pool area has signs that say no eating however they have a grill beside the pool and a sitting area. I have witnessed people grilling and bringing the food to eat in the pool
They have a laundry room with set times and is coin operated however I had a hard time getting the washer to work as it kept rejecting the coins that I got from the lobby.
Oh, and not to forget about lying in bed with my infant child around 10:00 p.m. and having the door open and a strange couple bstanding outside surprised to see someone in the room. Cheching with management, I was told someone assigned the room to them in error and since this site does not use keys, they use codes, codes were generated for that couple in error.
- TRAVIS (9/5): - Room size
The bed All the unnecessary fees
- Yolaina (8/5): - Customer service was great. The first room given has some smoking odor and they changes us immediately
- Yoseph (10/5): - Nice place will visit again
- Leticia (10/5): -
- Andreyna (3/5): -
- Monica (8/5): - The property itself was noce, clean and spacious. The neighborhood however.....
- Rafael (10/5): - Excelent property… Neighborhood looks like walking dead…
- Cecilia (10/5): Would stay here again - Great place
- Hershell (4/5): - It's definitely not what I expected from your Expedia advertisement of the property.
- Collen (10/5): excellent will be back - the privacy with the patio grill area clogging of the drains in bathroom
- Brittany (10/5): - Very easy to organize check in
- Kathryn (2/5): Beware of this hotel! - Of the many hotels I’ve used through the years on hotels.com, this hotel was absolutely the worst! I would be ashamed to call this a Sheraton hotel. We arrived early after a cruise and they would not let us check in. They have no lobby and no place for us to sit except for at the 80degree swimming pool ACROSS THE STREET! It is located in a sketchy neighborhood with homeless people everywhere no good or drinks on site and a long walk to find anything to eat. The room did not have any amenities including hand soap! They gave each of us one towel and a floor mat. I would NEVER STAY HERE and never recommend anyone else. Run from this listing. And I paid high dollar for this. Hotels.com needs to reimburse me for faulty advertising on this hotel!!!!
- ANKEITA (2/5): Don’t Ever Ever Book this! - This room was very uncomfortable! The lounge chair had holes! The bed was a folding cot! No ice on the premises. Staff was not friendly. Do not bring children here.
- Franchellys (6/5): - My stay was great and there’s many different restaurants that you can walk to and choose from. The staff was helpful as well my only advice would to clean the rooms a little better although not visibly dirty the floor feels greasy probably from what ever they use to clean it and the ac vents were really dusty. Beside that it was a great stay and had everything we needed
- Marti (4/5): :( - Very poor location, shabby
- Amalia (2/5): - I don’t know how you can recommend this property it’s a dumpster. They charge you for street parking with no parking permit . Noisy and filthy . They charge for damage deposit . They don’t care about the guests relaxation . They were drilling next door even after we complained about they kept drilling . I would like full refund . I have videos.
- Laurent (8/5): - All good
- Kellon (10/5): Exceptional - Great
- Vernell D (10/5): - Not far from the Airport and shopping area. Office to be open up earlier. Great guesthouse overall.
- Minerva (10/5): - Stay exceeded our expectations!
- Wesby (2/5): The worst - I had no remote for the T.V failed to refund my money because I brought the dog to the room so I can pack There was nothing to do
- Ashley (6/5): - The room was nice however when i went to check in i had to put a $150 deposit down and they said nothing about that in the details. One of our beds was rock hard. The pool area was super nice and relaxing.
- Matt (2/5): - Other guests were loud and kept us up. Tv had 3 antenna channels only. Bed was hard and uncomfortable.
- Shirley (2/5): - No way
- Alisha (10/5): Ask for Zack - Zack was amazing, super helpful and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable! Our flight didn’t get in until after office hours and he waited for us to check us in personally. Give the man a raise!
- Gaetan (10/5): - Good place A1
- Mark (6/5): - I chose this property because of price but the surprise was on me when I had to pay a $150.00 deposit
- Nathaniel (10/5): - it was swell
- Indira (9/5): great location, comfortable place and price was great - friendly staff, very fair price not sure if the fee for parking is mentioned on website
- THIDA (10/5): - Front desk was really nice and helpful. She allowed me to check in early, because I have arrived early.
- Lisa (7/5): The problems outweighed the bed and shower that I needed. - while it is in a sketchy part of town, there are many lights, cameras, and gates. I asked about auto theft and break-in. They said that it had never happened. The room was small but it was clean with clean bedding and bath. There was a kitchenette for use as well. When calling the office for housekeeping and maintenance, both came quickly and were courteous. The neighborhood was poor and there were several derelicts walking along the roads. It was difficult to find the office. The property crosses a road. We were parked on one side. The sign said the office was across the road. I looked directly behind me and crossed to a house. That was not it. I went back to the sign to get the phone number and call the office, when I noticed the office across the opposing road!
I had to give a $150 deposit for damaging the room. However, because I used a credit card, a $4.50 fee was attached that I will not get back.
The room was extraordinarily small. The bathroom was a mixture of 1950s art deco with modern white floor tile and black grout. It appears dirty, but it probably isn’t.
The biggest problem was the shower. The hot water took 20 minutes to heat up. During that time, I called the office. They sent maintenance who tried the water and it was fine. However, we started hearing a pump kicking on and off after that. Did they waste gallons of water or was the water heater just turned on? Either way, the shower handle could only be turned slightly toward cold to be able to not be burned and not have freezing water.
We wanted to leave, but the policy is to not give your money back, no matter what. The nighttime office personnel as well as the office phone message was difficult to understand due to heavy accent.
Finally, I was bullied into paying parking, $10 a day in their OWN lot, but I would receive that money back IF I gave a good review. I won’t hold my breath.
- Linda (2/5): - The boucher is misleading, the place is disgusting.
- Marti (10/5): it was a peaceful and quiet area! - very good everything is clean an perfect
- Paige (6/5): - Very strict about visitors, and saw some baby roaches in the bathroom. Housekeeping was very responsive.
- Mayra (10/5): - Very nice place
- Claudia (6/5): - It was ok. A bit pricey for what we got. Check in was very smooth.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I was not able to stay at this hotel due to the fact that they don't accept a credit card for a deposit. My finance and I travel a fairly good amount and I have never went to a hotel that didn't accept a credit card for desposit. When I travel I never carry cash or my debit card with me and it's never been a problem before.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place is like a Pig with LIPSTICK. This place was a dump. Sink clogged up as soon as i washed my hands. One hand towel and one bath towel per guest for entire stay of 6 days. The towels were very thin and flimsy. We had to go get more. Front desk attendant was rude and unconcerned. Small bugs accumulate on the bathroom floor. The place is old with new fixtures. The cabinets are falling apart and peeling badly. The blinds are broken and some missing especially in shower area. I strongly recommend stay somewhere else. If you want additional towels there is a charge and a charge to park as well which was not explained when booking or at the front desk check in.
- Quentin (6/5): - Its ok
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Don’t know if it’s a hotel for homeless people but it was nice and quiet but not roomie but I enjoyed my stay
- David (10/5): - The sheridan guesthouse
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The cost for 2 nights was 300.00 plus dollars. It was too much.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The other people staying at this facility were a little sketchy.
- Allyne (2/5): - Owner is rude. I had to go through cigarette smoke to check in.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was clean and fresh and had a beautiful decor. We enjoyed our evening there .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked its privacy and quietness. Somewhat expenses for the small room and lack of high quality toiletries and amenities.
- Bk (6/5): - We paid a lot of money for this place... As it was super bowl weekend. Brought a young family... But found out this is like a hostel? Not quite a family environment sleigh we had our own room. Not enough towels for the people we got charged extra for having? Parking is extra.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The smell, it seemed like the room had been locked up for a while. Could’ve been cleaner, could’ve set the ac on to get the smell out
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There was nothing to like. Staff was very rude. Low end property
- Verified traveler (2/5): - My flight - also purchased through Orbitz - wasnt to land before check-in closed at the Sheridan.
I called the hotel to get an 'after hours' check-in. They required a lengthy form to be completed (annoying, but certainly doable). However, they required a picture of my CC and my drivers license.
That's absurd. I've had my identity stolen in the past (by no fault of my own) and to send that type of information (in picture form no less) to a Marriot or a Hilton would give me pause. To send it electronically to a an outfit I've never heard of would be wildly stupid a d irresponsible on my part.
I called Orbitz and explained to no avail, escalated the matter, and was turned away.
I did this weeks in advance, not the night before.
I wasnt trying to scam anyone or take advantage of anything. Orbitz told me to go pound sand.
In a way I'm going to just that. I'll easily convince every single person and family I know, and everyone I can reach on social media to NEVER use Expedia, Orbitz, Hotels.com or any related entity.
I wont see my money again, but I'll be sure to multiply my expense X1,000 to lost business revenue to your shady outfut.
- Pooh (8/5): - It was only for one night. It wasn’t a bad spot for last minute reservation
- Bee (8/5): - Nice place but it’s very small the pictures make it look bigger but overall great place staff was very nice and pleasant
- Lina (10/5): Perfect choice. - This place was great! Overall very clean great service not one complaint about the place. Even the landscaping was immaculate. Definately will stay here again and will recommend.
- Charles (8/5): Poor parking other wise GREAT place. - Things worked out in the end; but I see that U have changed pictures of room. Old pictures showed bunk beds which were not available. Parking is the biggest problem if U r going 2 have visitors come visit U while there. Great place 4 a relaxing vacation; Highly recommended this if U want 2 visit the beach only couple miles away.
- Wanda (10/5): First Miami area trip - Very nice room.. Nice environment.. Nice scenery.. If private porch available get it.. I got it and it was perfect..
- Nikisha (10/5): - Very nice and clean. The yard is very relaxing
- jerome (2/5): Worst stay ever - The room was clean but advertised larger which was a inconvenience. There numerous drug dealers staying in the same location and they are wild and very ill mannered once the front office closes. I said drug dealers because I witnessed them staying there and making transactions in front of me. I was locked out my room because the keypad security lock on the died. Me and my party was left outside four an hour and a half calling the office number and trying to reach out to management and no response was giving after 8 calls and voice mails. Me and my party was left to climb through a small window in the front of our room to get in. They’ve never reached out to me and my party the next day and didn’t even make an effort. I went to the front office to complain and was disregarded and received no cooperation from the staff or management. I was promised to receive a call from the owner four two days and hasn’t even got a response from them yet. I don’t recommend this place to no one and hopefully their investigated and deemed a slumlord in the hotel community. Thanks for nothing and I will be reaching out for authoritative action to be taken because I don’t want no one to experience this again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It was in a nice area, other than that, it was to noisy, the other people who were also staying there were just very weird. I kind of felt like i was in the horror movie The Wrong Turn. The towels provided for drying off after bathing were very small, and the soap provided for bathing were the little tiny complimentary soaps you take from a regular hotel. Glad i had my own cosmetics. I feel bad for a overweight person that needed to shower. Oh and the shower stall, just horrible. Extremely tight, and there wasnt even a liner on the shower curtain. It was so bad that i actually changed my flight and left a day early.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Parking was limited but free. Accommodated late check in but code didn't work, luckily staff still onsite but not sure what would have happened if there were problems after hours. Overall, very nice for the price and would stay again.
- Tye (8/5): - It was ok not wat I expected
- Jan (8/5): Business Trio - Customer service need a bit of improvement
- michel (4/5): NOISY NIGHT - The reception was perfect, the room was also perfect, but the noise... If you want to have a good night, sleep in your car could be quieter
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We were not told that there was no room service. At all
- Verified traveler (6/5): - For the price, we expected more. I understand the need for hotels near the cruise lines portal, but another location we stayed at offered more amenities for almost half the price. The kitchenette was nice but not for an overnight stay like we did. The security was great. Didn't think this was the best idea for just an overnight stay. No place to purchase a snack or drink. We were offered water and we replied that a bottle would be nice, we were offered a CUP of water.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - So the place is actually quite adorable, a little world within itself, that feels like a little interesting safe haven from the norm compared to the hussle and bussle just blocks away...However, we did not get the room we reserved, We also did not get ANY sheets or blanket for the 3rd person and the bed they were sleeping on. I would actually stay again in a heart beat, but be sure that you have everything you need before you go out for the night and come back after hours without the basics. Also don't forget your coffee items if thats your thing because there is only a coffee maker and no filters or supplies, nor is there a complimentary office option. Oh and the parking is def an issue, so you may want to be in early to actually have a space thats legal...just sayin'
- Ronnie (6/5): Stay open later! - Good location. The only bed with bedding was the main bed. The other beds had no blankets. No blankets in the room. Office closed at 9:30pm.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - There were flying bugs inside the units, and the place was only cleaned prior to check-in and not during the stay. The communal areas seemed to have the same people all the time as if they lived there—did they?
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Poor customer service, Upon arrival when the first time we used the restroom , it stopped up, I asked the front desk for a plunger and I was initially refused a plunger and told by the front desk person that my kids and I should just use the restroom outside in the courtyard during the night until maintenance would come the next day. Also upon arriving to our room we realized our view was overflowing trash a few feet from our door. I asked for sheets for the sofa bed and was told since it was 4 of us, we should just use the two beds, despites their being a sofa bed advertised and paid for as part of the room. I objected to this and was given bed linen for the sofa bed.
Parking is limited. The rooms are small.
A plus on this property it has a really pretty courtyard there is work in progress. But it is pretty and like a garden/ park like setting.
- James W (6/5): - This is an older motel. Room was quite clean. Florida prices at this time of year are high!! Up north the price for this motel would be under 90.00.
- Melissa (2/5): DO NOT BOOK HERE!! OWNER IS UNSTABLE!! - DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! THE OWNER IS CRAZY. He called and yelled at me for leaving negative feedback due to booking issues, instead of finding out what they could do differently. Now Hotels.com refuses to refund my money when I never stepped foot on the property.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Could be worse for a cheap pod close to FLL - Weird place...the grounds are really nice, the price is right, the service is fine, but if you get the shared room, it's more of a pod with a bunch of old guys than a typical youth hostel vibe...Definitely could be worse, as all i needed was a budget bed for the night convenient to the airport (quick city bus ride a couple blocks away) and although I never used the one bathroom right in the adjoining rooms of 15 or so bunks, I never had a problem walking off the quick and really attractive grounds to the two private baths with shower which were totally clean ...
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The place was not what I expect at all more of motel than hotel
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst place!! - Dirty... rooms are bad.... television did not work rooms smell really bad
- Esteban (10/5): Beautiful get away place - It was beautiful and well kept. Problem not enough parking spaces.
- Rebecca (2/5): Price Gouging - The stay was good but the price replace cheap towels in ridiculous. I was charged $25.00 for $1.74 Wal-Mart towels they used for the room. Can you say price gouging.
- Jackson (6/5): - Did not feel comfortable, especially in the shower. Need to change shower curtains. Also, hallways smelled like dog. Even if dogs are accepted, does not have to smell like one.
- DCO (4/5): - Looked nothing like the picture. Will never stay here again. Only good thing was the fitted sheet I received smelled like bleach. The beds were filthy had I not had the fitted I would’ve had to buy some. Only slept ok room for a total of 6 hours. Doesn’t have a real safe, it’s a small high school locker that can only fit their bedding. Hated it totally. But you get what you pay for.
- Gary (10/5): The Price Is Right...Come on down!!! - We were visiting Cherokee to go to Harrahs for the Price is Right.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - At reservation time I was not told that it would be a shared room, with up to 10 different strangers.
- Omar (10/5): Nice hotel - Pretty good
- colleen (10/5): Great place to stay. - I always stay here on my business trips. GREAT wifi and friendly staff. I sit in the well landscaped courtyard and work on my computer. The courtyard is walled in and secure, so I'm very comfortable. Also, very clean.
- Jack (8/5): - Very comfortable but it did not have a thermostat for the air conditioning .
- Laura (8/5): Nice, clean hotel - This hotel is always impeccably clean. The staff is helpful and it is a pleasure to stay there. The area of town it is in leaves a bit to be desired, but the hotel is safe. I recommend it.
- Nelson (2/5): - When you pay 36$.cant expect much.Owner piece of CRAP.Very Nasty.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I don’t like
- Donnie (8/5): First timer - It was different then any other. First time, something new.
- Verified traveler (2/5): BUSH WACKED! - This was a terroristic experience because I was ambushed by an high expectation for the description of the location. Only to discover a caldron of larceny and possible communicable diseases. I was mislead into believing that a full refund would not be an issue, but it proved otherwise to become a challenging issue. The female staff member whom gave me the tour would not return the images of my driver's license and credit.
- Anthony (10/5): Very nice place and people.... - Very nice place and people.beyond clean.i would recommend my family and friends to stay there any day or time .... prices are very reasonable as well..... just the dorms beds are not for big guys....
- CASSANDRA (4/5): - We were traveling from out of town so we were not going to make the 9 check in time. In order to check in I was forced to provide my state ID and credit card via email . Because we had already paid through Orbitz I was not able to get my money back. This was not mention in their terms of condition at all. There was another guest there that constantly banged on the walls throughout the night and constantly yelling. Which means I did not sleep well at all. When I bring it to the attention of management their response was the gas should be checking out that night. Later that night the banging still occurred. When I went back they question why the new guest did the same as the old guest. I would assume the guest that checked out wasn't the one making the noise! In order to get any type of rest we went to the Best Western Hotel to sleep. Meaning we have to pay for two hotels. Never ever again!
