comfy bed
good food , breakfast was cooked to order and a lovely evening meal car park is a free to use public car park around the corner from the hotel
smokey / damp smell in the landing / staircase area but NOT in any other part of the hotel
- Ann (9/5): - Excellent service from the man on reception, room was spotlessly clean and bed comfortable. We had a meal which was excellent and good value, bit of a delay in the service due to ordering error. Staff apologised for this and we were offered a complimentary drink. Only niggle was the traffic noise from the road outside which is not the hotels fault. There are ear plugs in the room which we did not need as traffic eases later in the night.

- Thomas (8/5): -
- Kim (8/5): A comfy & enjoyable overnight stay - Had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious Didn’t have breakfast as only served until 9am which was too early for a Sunday morning the day after a wedding!! Had a good night’s sleep as bed was really comfy. Overall good value for money Walls were very thin as could hear guests in room next to us
- Prabhjeet (10/5): I would stay here again. - Very friendly staff who can’t do enough for you, it was very much appreciated. The double en-suite room very clean and comfortable but it was small, it would be a struggle for two people.
- E.T. (10/5): Would recommend - The room seemed to have been recently refurbished, everything was clean modern and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food both at breakfast and dinner was very good. The restaurant was very noisy in the evening as there was a large party there, it was very difficult for us to converse.
- Craig (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (10/5): Excellent stay, staff and food - I did not have breakfast however I had 2 evening meals which were excellent. Small hotel with 4 bedrooms. Lovely staff The bed could have been a little more comfortable
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alistair (10/5): Very nice stay. Restuarant busy but no issues and great staff. - Food was great. Burgers were especially good! No issues

- James (8/5): Good, Will stay again when in the area. - All very good. Friendly staff, good food and comfortable room.
- Rocio (10/5): Exceptional stay at this hidden gem, hope to come back! - From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and well cared for. The team went out of their way to accommodate every request, always with kindness and professionalism. The room was beautifully designed—inviting and comfortable - while the bathroom felt upscale, with high-quality fixtures and heavenly-scented toiletries.
The on-site restaurant served excellent food, and it was clear that attention to detail runs through every part of the hotel. The small, thoughtful gestures from the staff made our stay feel truly personal and memorable. If I had to mention something, the only minor detail that comes to mind is that the corridor had a slightly odd smell at times - but such a small thing in an otherwise 10/10 flawless stay.
- Sharon (5/5): Sis the job for k w night and reasonably priced too for the size of room - Friendly front of house staff member. Large room . We had the Rabbie Burns family room which had a super long bed and two single beds Maybe we were just unlucky but we had a lot of noise from the room next door and lots of car and bike noise from the road outside
- Edna (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were excellent and extremely friendly and Scottish Nothing
