- Mohammed (10/5): A magical few days in nature - Nature's Edge is truly a special kind of place to stay and without doubt the most unique hotel I've been lucky enough to visit. It was exactly the place my wife and I were looking for our final few days in Costa Rica and a magical way to end our trip. Set away in the midst of the jungle, we had breathtaking views all the way out to sea and watched the rain from the comfort of our deck. We fell asleep to the sounds of the rainforest, and awoke to howler monkeys and toucans. Our casita was beautifully comfortable with everything we needed. The shared kitchen space was also excellent and gave us an opportunity to cook some nice evening meals, even managing a barbecue one night. All of this was made possible by our amazing hosts. Jim, Katia and Felipe were incredibly kind with excellent recommendations and great conversations. Katia's delicious breakfasts by the pool were something we both looked forward to each morning. She was also kind enough to share one of her recipes when I asked. Also, whilst, we didn't meet in person, Tommy was really communicative in helping us to coordinate before we arrived. As a mostly city driver, I was initially a bit unsure about how I'd get on driving up the dirt road to the hotel. However, with a decent 4x4, as recommended, it was very straightforward, especially after we'd gone up and down one time. I really hope we can make it back to Nature's Edge one day, and can't recommend it highly enough. There was nothing I didn't like. Like most things, it depends on the type of trip you want to have. If you're looking for late nights and hustle and bustle, it may not be for you. However, if you want a relaxed getaway surrounded by nature, there are few places I can imagine that would be better.

- Kai (10/5): extraordinary - To put it simply: an exceptional stay on our CR trip. In detail: beautiful bungalows with a magnificent view and attention to detail. The many little touches, like complimentary snacks, a power bank, a varied and freshly prepared breakfast every morning, or a welcome pineapple, made it perfect. Many thanks to Katja, Tom, and Jim for their outstanding service and warm hospitality.

- Joachim (4/5): Tolle Anlage wenn die Bauarbeiten beendet sind - Im Prinzip alles…. …..es wird zur Zeit ein neuer Bungalow errichtet und der damit verbundene Baulärm, von 8-17:00 Uhr, hat uns dazu bewegt den Aufenthalt von 6 auf 1 Nacht zu verkürzen. Die Ersatzunterkunft hat uns leider auch noch 500 USD mehr gekostet. Sehr, sehr schade☹️

The casita was clean and well laid out with everything you would need for a self contained stay. Both Jim and Katia were so helpful and the breakfasts were superb. Being able to sit on the balcony listening to the howler monkeys and the toucans was magical There’s nothing to dislike

- Megan (10/5): Geweldig! - Een van de mooiste verblijven op een van de mooiste locaties in Costa Rica waar we hebben verbleven. Je moet ongeveer 2km aan dirt road omhoog rijden, maar daar krijg je zoveel voor terug. De rust en de schoonheid zijn niet te evenaren. Ook hadden we een warm welkom en een persoonlijk en gezellig ontbijt. Het zwembad is ook top. Je hebt er eigenlijk alles wat je nodig hebt en daarbij zijn de kamers ook nog eens heel schoon. X

- Svenja (10/5): Eine wahre Oase der Ruhe – Natur pur! - "Wir hatten eigentlich geplant, einige Ausflüge in Uvita zu unternehmen, aber die Unterkunft war so wunderschön, dass wir stattdessen einfach dort geblieben sind und die Natur genossen haben. Die Lage ist perfekt zum Relaxen! Wir konnten unglaublich viele Tiere direkt von der Unterkunft aus beobachten: Brüllaffen, Tukane, Bunthörnchen, Kolibris und viele andere Vogelarten. Die Gastgeber sind super nett und herzlich. Das Frühstück super lecker und die Hütten gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Anfahrt mit dem 4x4 war absolut kein Problem und hat sich für diese Aussicht und Ruhe definitiv gelohnt. Wir können diese Unterkunft zu 100 % weiterempfehlen und würden sofort wiederkommen!" We had an amazing stay at Nature’s Edge, which was the first stop on our tour of Costa Rica. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, always keen to support you in any possible way—before the stay to help you plan activities, during the stay, and even afterward. To help me solve an issue I experienced with a local bank branch after I left, they even made an appointment at the bank on their own time to assist me! The rooms are amazing, with an impressive view over the jungle from your private terrace, and the rest of the property is just as beautiful. In a nutshell, there’s no better place to stay in Uvita. A natureza no hotel é incrível, você consegue ver muitos pássaros, tucanos da janela do quarto. Fica perto da cidade em uma estrada de terra bem ingrime, um 4x4 é uma boa escolha. Auch gibt es jeden Morgen ein sehr schmackhaftes Frühstück, frisch zubereitet. Der Anfahrtsweg ist zumindest das erste Mal eine Herausforderung, die aber mit 4x4 gut zu bewältigen ist! Nichts
- Tobias (10/5): Absolutes Traumhotel in fantastischer Lage - Keith und Joe haben hier wirklich ein Paradies geschaffen und kümmern sich sehr fürsorglich um alles. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, sauber und lädt am Pool wirklich zum Verweilen ein. Auch die gemeinsame Aussenküche macht sehr viel Spaß. Wir haben uns abends immer etwas gekocht. Die Zimmer sind unglaublich schön eingerichtet, sehr sauber und mit jeglichen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Der Blick vom Balkon ist so schön, dass man sich manchmal nicht lösen kann. Wir haben sehr viele Tukane gesehen. Das Frühstück ist mit ganz viel Liebe von Keith und Joe gekocht. Sie helfen einem jederzeit auch bei Ausflügen und beraten bei Restaurants und Tipps. Wichtig: Die beiden meinen es wirklich ernst, dass man nur mit einem 4x4 auf die Anlage kommt. Der Weg ist anspruchsvoll und lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Aber ohne Allrad geht es hier nicht weiter! Überhaupt nichts. Wenn wir könnten, würden wir sofort wieder dorthin fahren. Es ist einfach nur wunderschön gewesen.

C’est en pleine nature, incroyable pour voir les animaux ! La Terrazza commune avec la piscine est très agréable, le petit déjeuner est servi la bas tous les matins et est délicieux ! Keith and Joe sont tres accueillants et prévenants ☺️

The entire place is decorated with such love and style, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Nestled in the heart of the rainforest, this accommodation is absolutely breathtaking. Everything is very well organized, making it easy to relax and feel completely at home. The views from the casitas are stunning. - Lilian (10/5): Luxe en natuur komen hier samen. Costa Rica op z’n best. - Alles top! Wat een plek, wat een gastheren. Aan alles is gedacht en wij zijn volledig in de watten gelegd door Joe & Keith. Absoluut het beste verblijf gedurende onze 2,5 week rondreizen door Costa Rica! Een heerlijke plek in Uvita vlakbij alle bezienswaardigheden en in de natuur waar je de brulapen hoort en de toekans, ara’s en nog zoveel meer vogels je omringen. Slapen met de schuifpui open (overal horren dus 100% veilig). Echt geweldig!!

- Elke (10/5): Ein kleines Paradies im Urwald - Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt. Die Lodge ist traumhaft schön. Die gesamte Anlage und die Bungalows sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Der große Balkon mit Blick auf den Urwald war einfach fantastisch. Wir konnten jeden Tag Affen und Tucane beobachten. Auch das Frühstück war ein Highlight- gesund, frisch, persönlich und liebevoll zubereitet. Der Pool und der Blick von der Frühstücksterrasse waren großartig. In 7 Minuten ist man unten in Uvita und insgesamt ca. 10Minuten braucht man bis zum Nationalpark (und Strand). Die Straße ist spannend, aber mit einem Allrad gut zu fahren. Uns haben die Auf- und Abfahren Spaß gemacht. Es war alles sehr schön- wir kommen gerne wieder.
- Bucheli (10/5): Ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt in traumhafter Lage mit herzlichen Gastgebern, köstlichem Frühstück, stylischer Casita, t - Wir hatten das große Glück, vier Tage im Natures Edge Boutique Hotel in Uvita verbringen zu dürfen und es war einfach perfekt. Keith und Joe sind unglaublich herzliche Gastgeber, die einen sofort willkommen fühlen lassen. Schon beim Ankommen spürt man, dass hier viel Liebe zum Detail steckt. Das Frühstück ist ein echtes Highlight, frisch, abwechslungsreich und so köstlich, dass man sich schon am Abend darauf freut. Auch die Lage ist schlicht atemberaubend, hoch oben in den grünen Hügeln gelegen mit einem Blick, der einem die Sprache verschlägt. Unsere Casita war wunderschön, sauber und stylisch eingerichtet, ein absoluter Wohlfühlort. Jeden Tag konnten wir direkt von unserer Terrasse aus Kapuzineraffen beobachten, während Tukane in den Bäumen sangen. Dazu gibt es sicher noch so viel mehr zu entdecken, die Natur hier ist einfach magisch. Besonders toll ist auch die Küche direkt beim Pool. Sie ist bestens ausgestattet mit allem, was man zum Kochen braucht, und man genießt dabei eine traumhafte Aussicht. Der Weg nach oben war für uns jedes Mal ein kleines Abenteuer, aber mit einem 4x4 Auto problemlos machbar und jede Fahrt wert. Nach vier Tagen fühlten wir uns vollkommen erholt und glücklich. Es gibt wirklich nichts auszusetzen und wer dieses Hotel in Uvita nicht bucht, verpasst etwas ganz Besonderes.

Die Küche ist mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet inkl. Gewürzen, Öl, Soßen etc.

Bereits bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir super nett von Joe empfangen und haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Der Ausblick von unserem Balkon/Terrasse war atemberaubend. Die beiden Gastgeber Joe und Keith haben sehr viel Liebe zum Detail in die Bungalows gesteckt und helfen einem bei allem! Sie haben uns super Restaurant-Tipps gegeben und uns sogar mit Essen versorgt, als wir die Unterkunft zum Abendessen aufgrund sehr starken Regens und Überschwemmung der Brücke (einziger Weg zu Unterkunft) nicht verlassen konnten. -
- Marie France (10/5): SIMPLEMENT EXCEPTIONNEL - Le meilleur des 7 lieux où nous avons séjourné : endroit incroyable, très propre et très bien équipé, des hôtes vraiment formidables : en plus de tous les soins et leur gentillesse, Keith et Joe nous ont conseillés et même réservés une activité. Ils nous ont fourni de quoi ne pas être malade en bateau. Ils nous ont informés de travaux sur notre retour vers SJ et ont décalé l'heure du petit déj pour que nous soyons dans les temps, etc. Et le petit déj.... fait maison tout les matins, au bord de la piscine : délicieux. Les quiches de Joe... ses tranches de saucisses légèrement pimentées, ses verrines de fromage blanc + muesli et confitures de fruits exotiques... Et s'il n'y a pas de restauration sur place, la liste qu'ils nous fournissent et qui livrent sont très bons. Si vous préférez, vous pouvez cuisiner au bord de la piscine et stocker vos courses dans le frigo et congélateur. Et autre possibilité : aller en ville : +/- 15 mn en voiture. Réservez tôt car il n'y a que 4 casitas. Nous en avions réservées 3 pour 3 nuits. Elles sont identiques et vraiment super. Les vues se valent : celle qui se nomme ARACARI permet peut-être de voir les toucans de plus prêt 🙂 J'ai réfléchi. Rien trouvé.

Detalles exquisitos. Buenas piscina y lugar para cocinar con multitud de utensilios y productos esenciales. Hay que tener en cuenta que para llegar al lugar tienes que disponer de 4*4, para nosotros no fue un problema. El lugar es fantástico.

- Marjolein (10/5): - We loved everything about the property. Joe and Keith were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome in their beautiful slice of paradise. There are 4 separate lodges each very well appointed with wonderful views over the Uvita landscape. Natures edge is set high up on the hillside in a secluded spot surrounded by lots of flora and fauna. We saw lots of bird life and were woken by howler monkeys! The lodge had a small useful kitchenette with full cooking facilities available at the pool. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked and served around the pool each morning. The one morning we had an early excursion Joe brought us the most delicious banana bread and fruit smoothie to take with us. We would highly recommend Natures Edge to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. Thank you Joe and Keith for all your hospitality, it was lovely to meet you both.

- Gill. (10/5): Exceptional - I was a tad worried about the drive up to Natures Edge but the road was actually in good condition & very easy to navigate although very steep in places. Joe met us on arrival with a cheery smile and a tour through the casita. The view was spectacular! A large king sized bed sat in prime position to capitalise on the view. Fans kept the property cool and the terrace had some comfy rocking chairs to while away the hours. The pool area was lovely with sunbeds and umbrellas combined once again with spectacular views! Toucans called everywhere and scarlet macaws flew overhead. The ranchero, the communal cooking area was stocked with everything you needed to cook and we enjoyed some evenings in, enjoying the peace and tranquility. Joe cooked a delicious breakfast and Keith served. Everyday varied and Joe proved to be an outstanding pastry chef! He made some unique breakfasts including goats cheese and red pepper quiche. He was also adaptable to his guests. The serenity was wonderful. The bed was super comfy with quality linens. A beautiful place to stay , hosted by a couple of fab guys. They can take care of anything when asked and nothing is a problem to them. Keith can organize any tours, a restaurant booking, etc and Joe is a very talented cook. The villas are a dream. Beautiful inside and very well equipped. As there are only 4 villas, guests have lots of space and privicy. And the views are just wonderful. We could really relax and enjoy our stay. - Craig (10/5): Simply breathtaking place to stay! - This place is Exceptional in every aspect, the rooms, the pool, the view, the facilities, your hosts Keith and Joe are tremendous hosts. We arrived a little early but our room was ready to go, Keith welcomed us on arrival and Joe gave us the lowdown on our room facilites and the pool and dining area. Our room "Heliconia" was situated overlooking the forrest and mountains and the view is simply breathtaking from the spacious Balcony! the room itself has been immaculately decorated and outfitted with everything you need and all is explained in great detail by Joe. The temperature at this elevation is perfect after having been down at sea level all day it makes all the difference, and simply negates the need for A/C in the evenings. you can simply leave your balcony door open (mosquito screen closed) at night and just let the sound of nature help you drift off to sleep! The pool area also has spectacular views overlooking the forrest and mountain area, the pool itself is actually a saltwater pool which we found amazing. no nasty chemicals involved! Breakfast here is tremendous with both Keith and Joe taking care of your every need and Joe was the expert cook behind a fresh, tasty and changing breakfast each morning. You can also have a good chat with them and other guests making it a very warm and personal experience for breakfast. Joe was also kind enough to deliver us a very tasty smoothie and Banana bread one morning as we left very early (05:45) for a tour one morning! During our stay just outside our room there was a Toucan that visited the tree right outside our room( it was even singing one eveing) and some Fiery billed Aricaris, even a group of howler monkeys in the trees, you truely feel right amongst nature up here away from the hustle and bustle of the main town Uvita. There is a reason this place was voted #1 in Costa Rica and you simply have to stay here to realise why! Without a doubt will stay here again when visiting Costa Rica... absolutely nothing, everything was exceptional!

The owners go out of their way to make sure you are completely comfortable, including making delicious banana bread and a fruit smoothie for you when you can't make it to breakfast. Very peaceful surroundings, I enjoyed ending my day on the private deck in the hammock or rocking chairs, watching the toucans in the trees right beside the deck or the monkeys swinging in the canopy below. Nature's Edge is indeed "jungle chic", a little piece of paradise! There was nothing lacking during my stay at Nature's Edge. Do heed their advice about needing a 4WD to navigate the mountain road!

- Lauren (10/5): Incredible! - Everything! I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It’s like a blend between luxury hotel, jungle camping, and a private villa. Natures Edge is more than just a hotel, it’s an experience. You fall asleep to the sound of the jungle all around you, and wake up to the most stunning sun rises, along with bird call and howler monkeys. The views over the jungle are incredible, and every morning we watched Toucans sit in a tree just metres from our balcony. At breakfast, hummingbirds hovered around the flowers beside the pool. There are only 4 bungalows, so it feels very private. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves for two days. And what can I say about Joe and Keith? The most lovely people. We spent part of our honeymoon here, and they decorated our bungalow and left Prosecco in the fridge. Just so lovely. They’ve also thought of everything here. From blue face flannels so white ones don’t get stained, to umbrellas. Those little touches have been really thought out. I honestly can’t recommend Nature’s Edge enough. It’s truly magical, and something quite unique. To be honest, you’d expect to pay twice what it costs. Amazing. Nothing!

It's not just the location and the view that make this stay so special, but above all the two hosts Joe and Keith. They are so attentive and pay attention to every little detail. At breakfast in the morning you feel like you're having breakfast with the family. You exchange ideas with other guests and the two of them had such valuable tips for us. On two days, they brought us super tasty smoothies and fresh banana bread as we were unable to take part in breakfast. They have even put together their own homepage with the menus of the surrounding restaurants and provided the cell phone numbers of the suppliers. There is so much more to the service. :) The houses are big enough and the shower is really a dream because you have the feeling of showering in the jungle. You are only separated from nature by a fly screen. The view from the balconies is a dream. In the middle of the complex there is a pool area with an outdoor kitchen, which can be used by all guests. Various birds like to fly around here in the morning. It was definitely our best accommodation in Costa Rica. We hope to come back again sometime. Thank you! Nothing. :)

- Ehrin (10/5): - We ended our first trip to Costa Rica, in Uvita, at Nature's Edge. We travelled the Pacific Coast, but it wasn't until we got to Uvita that we experienced the true jungle. Nature's Edge is tucked away about 2 miles up a steep road (you truly do need a 4x4 to access it, but we had a little AWD Suzuki, that we put in manual mode, and that did the trick just fine). Once you turn into the property you pass the first two casita's on your left, and if you're lucky, you booked one of the lower casitas (Aracari and Heliconia), which brings you to the breathtaking views. We stayed at Aracari (named after a small toucan - we saw the Fiery billed) and the views and sounds of the jungle were incredible. We woke each morning to a view of the mountains, sounds of Howler monkey's, Yellow Fronted toucans, and various other birds and insects; it's like, "Alexa, play sounds of the jungle" in real life. Joe & Keith leave you wanting for nothing. The casitas are well equipped. Although there isn't a full kitchen, there is a shared kitchen by the salt water pool, and the casitas have everything you need to prepare a meal, as well as a dorm-sized fridge. Keith & Joe also offer their spices, herbs from their garden, oils, pots/pans, and cooking utensils for guests to use. This is also where you'll have a delicious, home-made by Joe, breakfast each morning. The casita's balcony serves as an outdoor living room with a hammock and two rocking chairs. We spent most of our time out here marveling at

The Sierpe mangrove tour they pointed us to was a highlight of our stay - but you could also just sit and enjoy the views surrounded by toucans (7 in the tree next to our casita at one point!) - Gdg (10/5): Exceptional - Keith and Joe have created a tranquil paradise in the hills above Uvita. Already before you arrive they open conversation to check for any special needs or interest you might have during your stay. Their level of hospitality and attention for details in and around the Casitas create a superb experience at another level! I loved every moment of my stay! Joe's freshly cooked breakfast at the pool can compete with the best. Besides that the hosts are super friendly which made me feel at home. Highly recommended! There is nothing not to like.......
- Tommy (10/5): A little slice of paradise with the most amazing views. - We had such an incredible stay at Nature's Edge - the views are absolutely spectatular, and we were greeted by toucans in the morning at breakfast! There is such as lovely energy about the place too, very relaxing and tranquil. The pool was lovely and had great views too. Keith and Joe were fantastic hosts, who were happy to accomodate our vegan diet. They made us feel so welcome, and they have lots of helpful knowledge about the surrounding area. There's lots to do in the nearby area, including a waterfall walk on the way to the hotel. There really wasn't anything we didn't like about this place! Trust them when they say you need a 4x4 though, the road up to the hotel is very steep and bumpy!
- Thomas (10/5): - This place is a quiet retreat close to Uvita and the sea. Only 4 casitas, very well equipped, just beautiful. The hosts have thought of everything to the smallest detail. Everything works, is in great condition and very clean. The king bed is so comfortable and they have high quality linen. Amazing view! We would go back even just to relax on the terrace and enjoy the views and the birds. A 4x4 is really needed but it's worth it to go uphill. It's not as hot as in town. Joe cooks a wonderful breakfast every morning. Natures Edge is a great base for exploring the area. You can easily stay 5 nights or longer without being bored. The only thing you won't like is when you have to leave. Price-performance ratio is fantastic. Look at other places in the area and you know what we are talking about. Keith and Joe are the nicest hosts you can imagine. Their communication is like nothing we experienced before. They help with everything even before you stay with them. They respect your privacy and are happy to share local recommendations. We liked that there was no TV. The cabins are partially open (with mosquito screens) but there is no noise by other guests. (The host ask for quiet hours.) We really appreciated that and loved listening to the birds. We would love to return more sooner than later and visit again.The other good thing - N.Edge is not far from the best restaurant in Uvita - TRIBU. They have the best food here, it's fine dining for a good price. Just try-you will love it!
- Marcin (10/5): We were a group of four, had two bungalows, and we really enjoyed our stay. So much close to nature and the jungle. That - Location, rooms, and what is most important - hosts, who are truly wonderful people, willing to help in any possible way. Delicious breakfasts prepared „live” are also worth to mentioned. Everything is perfect.

- Carmel (10/5): It was absolutely amazing - We had a wonderful stay at Nature’s Edge. Keith and Joe are the best hosts. So helpful, sweet and kind. They made us feel at home straight away. The casita we stayed in was amazing. Clean, spacious, it had a great bed and it was so nice to sit outside on one of the rocking chairs to enjoy the view. It was also an amazing experience to wake up with the sounds of all the animals living in the jungle. Every morning a delicious homemade breakfast was served. We loved it! Especially Joe’s banana bread. And after a long day, the pool area is the perfect place to relax. Our stay at Nature’s Edge was definately one of our highlights and we would love to come back one day.
- Hakimaa (10/5): Exceptional - Little paradise! Arriving at Keith and Joe's feels like coming home. The warm greetings, the love infused into their homemade breakfast, their availability, smiles, and helpful advice – we're truly grateful for it all. The rooms are not just stunning but also spacious, making the experience even more delightful. From the pool you can see Toucans and coatie, you can even hear monkeys.. adding a unique and vibrant touch to the jungle experience. They made their place a heaven on earth..
- Michelle (10/5): Pura vida to the fullest - Nature’s Edge was by far the most amazing accomodation we’ve ever stayed in. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle, seeing coati’s and toucans, hearing monkeys on our balcony: it was nothing but paradise! The accomodation is clean, you can make dinner on the terrace near the beautiful pool, breakfast was delicious and Keith & Joe do everything to make you feel at home. Pura vida!

They built a very unique place up in the mountains with beautiful views to the surrounding nature and you can observe various animals like tucans. Our favorite spot in 5 weeks in Costa Rica! - Jayne (10/5): Magical experience that you will never forget when you visit beautiful Uvita! - Everything at Nature's Edge was fantastic! The place was so beautiful and relaxing, the view from our balcony was spectacular, place was super clean and so well laid out, the outdoor community kitchen was awesome and our hosts were the best (thanks so much Keith and Joe!). We also loved our breakfast buddy Louie :) Keith and Joe have made their place a sanctuary of relaxation. It is really close to the small town which was great too. We loved Uvita and Nature's Edge made it even better. P.S. Listen when they say you need at least an AWD vehicle...not at all an issue but gives you piece of mind to have it especially if it gets wet. Awesome experience!

- Christine (10/5): After a month in CR, with some amazing accommodation options, Nature's Edge stole the show! - When you take 2 lovely people who, although not "officially" trained in hospitality, have a vision of the level of service, comfort and amenities they would like to receive when they go away, then you get this fantastic result. A small boutique hotel that feels like home. Friendly but respectful of space and privacy; always available to help; fully equipped kitchen with oils and condiments; flexible check-in and check-out. Simply nothing.
- Annewieke (10/5): Book this stay! - Best place we have been in CR. At the top of the rainforest. Toekans and other great birds just in front of the tree before our balcony. Great hosts who serve a perfect breakfast. When you shower you feel like you are in the middle of the forest. Don’t worry about the road, with 4 x 4 it is not difficult. Maybe a bit too much messages before the start of the stay.

Keith and Joe are just wonderful hosts that have thought about every single details to make your stay fully relaxing.The cabinas have a high standard comfort and bedding, with a wonderful view from the patio. The kitchen is fully equipped too. The pool and its view on the mountains / seaside is absolutely beautiful, truly inspiring. The property has great nature and wildlife around to offer. In 2 days we got to see some tucans, colibris, white-face monkeys, a coati. That’s without naming all the lovely sounds you can hear at night! Besides the great comfort and the relaxation feeling of the place, we have to highlight the warm welcoming of the hosts. Keith and Joe make you feel at home in a second. Their communication is just perfect, by giving you all the info in a detailed way you would require to have a great stay. The area offers various quality restaurants, supermarkets. Many great natural parks are enjoyable within a reasonable driving distance. Keith and Joe’s place can definitely be an anchor point for people who wants to visit for many days the South Pacific part of Costa Rica. There is literally nothing to dislike about the place. We unfortunately had to leave too soon. In my opinion, it requires at least 3 nights to be fully appreciated. To just hang out and relax at the hotel can quickly become the plan of the day.

- Oliver (10/5): Paradise in the Uvita hills! - We arrived with very high expectations having read the reviews but they were more than met during our two night stay at the end of our fortnight in CR. Joe and Keith are excellent hosts who have clearly worked very hard to create a little slice of paradise up in the hills outside Uvita. The casitas are beautifully appointed - incredibly comfy bed, excellent shower, small but functional kitchenette, lovely terrace + hammock, etc. The finish was a high standard and there were several thoughtful touches. The view was beautiful. The shared terrace is a brilliant feature which adds great value to the experience. Joe cooks up a mean breakfast in the morning and the pool area is the perfect place to relax during the rest of the day. With only four casitas it feels very quiet and restful. We enjoyed seeing the toucans in the poolside trees every day. We didn't have a car but we had no problem getting a 4x4 taxi from Uvita ($20+) and even walked down to the waterfall one morning (doable if you don't mind a hot hike back up!). The food delivery service was a little pricey but very handy indeed! We would recommend Nature's Edge to friends and family and will certainly go back if we return to CR. Thank you Joe and Keith for the perfect end to our trip! Nothing. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. Joe and Keith work very hard to ensure that everything is top-notch. This is one of the best Booking experiences we have had anywhere in the world.

Keith & Joe we’re very caring & welcoming hosts, giving us a tour when we arrived. Very clean with exceptional attention to detail everywhere on the property which had modern amenities. Amazing views from every location on the property. Yummy breakfasts; Joe made a really tasty quiche, even the crust. It was also great that we could use their fully-equipped kitchen to make a dinner. The road up to the hotel was challenging but not the owner’s fault because the maintenance was delayed. Definitely need a 4X4 vehicle to get to the hotel.

- Chi (10/5): Fabulous stay! - The steep, rocky mountain road is worth the effort. Must rent a full powered 4x4 (seriously!!!). Spectacular room, views, breakfast, and hosts. Keith and Joe are wonderful hosts. Their attention to details is impressive. The location is well appointed - very serene and whisper quiet. Great place to unwind and to watch birds/butterflies/etc. Truly Pura Vida! Steep rocky unpaved road.
