The guests spoiled us with restaurant recommendations and the best ever breakfast of fruit salad , eggs Benedict, home fries, juice and coffee. What a treat ! That we could only stay one night

• Rebekah (10/5): The Elmere House is a wonderful place to stay for a honeymoon or anniversary. - Our stay was fantastic! Our room was comfortable. The breakfast was great. Owners were extremely thoughtful. It was our anniversary, which we did not disclose in our booking. However, they were able to place a card and bottle of prosecco in our mini fridge while we grabbed our luggage out of the car. The house is on a main road that has a lot of traffic. There was a lot of bumper to bumper traffic on the weekend. However the rooms at the back of the house are far enough away to muffle the noise from the road.

Didn’t find one. But that was ok. The pocket door in our bathroom was extremely hard for me to slide across in order to use the facility. My husband had to close and open it each time. The inn was absolutely beautiful and was very well maintained. Kudos to Bill and Michael! Have a great winter!!

They were both so wonderful and helped us familiarize with the surrounding area. The place is approximately about 10 mins to the center of Ogunquit with plenty of restaurants and shopping. We’ll definitely be back for a longer stay.

• Alexis (10/5): a local GEM, with a bonus property dog! - we absolutely LOVED this place! we were only in maine for two nights, and being unfamiliar with the area i was only going off on online reviews to book, but we got lucky with this place. we were warmly greeted by the innkeepers, bill and michael, and their perfect 18lb dachshund, BENTLEY! they provided local recommendations as well as contact information for a beach shuttle, and parking lots at the beach that would likely be less crowded [they were correct!] the outdoor area is so relaxing and lush, with a beautiful garden, a fire pit and lots of seating, we sat outside and enjoyed a lovely nap in the sun on some recliner chairs. while the property is a bit further out from the beach and downtown ogunquit, and certainly not walkable, there ended up being plenty of paid parking lots, and the shuttle did seem to be a popular option as well. breakfast was delicious, massive blueberry pancakes and fresh fruit. i wish we had time to stay for breakfast the second day! i wouldn't hesitate to book here again, certainly a gem of a property and it's clear they see folks who book year after year. i already miss bentley!

Room was a little small but expected in the age of the house. Wished it was within walking distance of town and attractions but there were accommodations for transportation

Not only did they make you feel welcome and at home but truly made it more than just a normal stay. Both of them elevate the visit here and make this place stand out from all of the many other places my wife and I have visited over the years. • Frank (10/5): THE BEST Inn we have ever visited! - The Inn was beautiful inside and out and the hosts (owners) were the best! Our suite was immaculate and we loved the jet tub and extremely comfortable king poster bed. The breakfasts (cooked by Bill) were accompanied by fresh fruit bowls and served in a charming dining room. We have been to Southern Maine a number of times and have stayed at many fine places but this was FAR and ABOVE any of them. Definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys an upscale Inn experience. Well worth the cost and then some! Can't say enough about this place and the wonderful owners!

It is a good base location for many activities in the area (Kennebunkport, light houses, etc.) The room was very comfortable. Bill and Michael were exceptional hosts. The breakfasts were very good. They are very knowledgable about the area and had many suggestions for activities. We definitely will return if we are back in the area. There was some traffic noise when spending time in the large yard. But, that is nothing they have control over. Other than that, the stay was very enjoyable.

• Teresa (10/5): Everything we had hoped for! - This B&B is beautiful with attention to detail and comfort. Bill and Michael are so incredibly warm and welcoming with a playful banter. The room had great decor with everything we needed! Once they knew we were celebrating my sweethearts birthday they brought a bottle of Prosecco to the room in an ice bucket! Who else does that? The bed was so comfortable that we slept in. The breakfast was incredible from amazing cinnamon coffee cake and blueberry cake to eggs Benedict and home fries like you’ve never tasted! There was nothing more we could have asked for! I wish we could’ve stayed longer!
• Kelly (10/5): 3 days in Wells - Michael and Bill went ABOVE AND BETOND to make our stay wonderful! They treated us like family the minute we got there! Always making sure we were comfortable. The bed was super comfortable as well! And what can I say about the breakfasts!!!! Simply amazing! The only thing I could think of was there was a little bit of noise from the room next door only due to the creaky floorboards. But not much you can do in an older home!

Our special request was respectfully acted upon and very much appreciated. We felt like part of the family here and made to feel very welcome.

• Wendy (10/5): - As repeat visitors, we've always enjoyed the highest quality of service at Elmere House. The home is beautifully decorated and well maintained, with wonderful outside areas for lounging under massive shade trees, relaxing by the firepit, and watching all of the birds make frequent visits to the water fountain and birdseed offerings. Bill and Michael are fabulous hosts and so friendly, and Bentley (their dachshund) is so sweet and welcoming!
• James (10/5): Having preconceptions about an experience sometimes leads to a letdown but not in this case. - This is what a bed and breakfast is supposed to be. Bill and Mike are good people. The room was comfortable and the morning breakfast fueled the rest of the day. I wish I had another day to sit back and relax. Two days was not enough. Maybe next time and, there will be a next time.

So beautiful .. in and out! Bill and Michael treat you like you are part of their family!! Delicious breakfast.. that can last as long as you want!! ( and also you won’t be hungry when you leave the beautiful, delicious breakfast that is served to you while looking out at the beautiful flowers from the window!! Rooms are so clean and beautiful and decorated so wonderful !! You don’t want to leave !! We, sometimes.. just extend our time at b and b if there is a cancellation!! You will not be disappointed when you book your stay with Bill and Michael !!❤️ There isn’t anything wrong with this property.. EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!! The only place we will stay while in Maine!! The 5 th time!!!
• William (10/5): - The Elmere House Bed and Breakfast was incredible in every way! Their daily breakfasts were so amazing—so delicious! Michael and Bill, the inn keepers, worked so hard to make our stay the best. We have stayed in B and B’s all over the world, and this one comes in #1. Our suite was large and beautiful with a fireplace, four-poster bed, and gorgeous pine floors. This place definitely earns a five-star rating!

The innkeepers were the best and their little dachshund, Bentley was the icing on the cake. Breakfasts prepared by Bill were incredible. And service by Michael was exceptional. What a find! We look forward to a revisit next year. Nothing could have been better. We felt pampered and at home in this beautiful property. What a nice retreat after a day of leaf peeping in New England.

• Jacqueline (10/5): Our expectations were exceeded. - Our hosts Bill and Mike were both welcoming and friendly - which in turn created a relaxed atmosphere at Elmere and therefore considerable guest interaction. It was evident that a great deal of thought and attention to detail had gone into making both house and garden immaculate, as well as guest friendly. Breakfast was outstanding, service was second to none and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - just wish it had been longer! We found nothing whatsoever to dislike. All good.

• Amy (10/5): Wonderful, relaxing stay at the Elmere House! Can't wait to go back! - Our favorite part of the weekend was staying at the beautiful Elmere House and meeting Mike and Bill! They were so wonderful and hospitable, and made us feel like family! The breakfast was wonderful, and the sheets and towels were top notch, too - we slept like babies :) I literally can't think of a thing!

They clearly care about their beautiful inn as well as their guests. Attention to detail throughout! Breakfast was a homemade feast, perfect…..service as well. Our room was comfortable, roomy, beautiful, and immaculate. We were able to relax on the porch and the beautiful gardens. Great location to so much. Picking vacationers giving this place a 10/10, A+, “new favorite”! Leaving :)
