• Emmanuel (8/5): - Très belle chambre, grande, confortable et bienéquipée. Personnel très gentil et serviable. Restaurant très agréable qui domine la place avec serveur au petit soin. Emplacement parfait pour visiter le centre historique la journée. Seul bémol, le soir, la place et les environs ne donne pas vraiment envie de sortir et le restaurant ferme a 8h00. Heureusement il y a un Steven 7 l autre côté de la rue.

We even skipped breakfast on those days because it offered significantly less variety, and the staff was not as nice as on the weekend.

• Betty (9/5): - Emplacement central, très pratique pour visiter le centre historique de Mexico. Petit-déjeuner copieux et personnel du restaurant très sympathique. Bruyant en fin de semaine à cause de la musique live du restaurant, mais bonne ambiance si vous souhaitez profiter 🙂
• Steven (1/5): Noisy and sleepless - This hotel is conveniently located, and the breakfast on the roof was excellent. The rooftop is used to host raucous parties with teenagers and 20-somethings screaming and shouting over booming music. The noise travels throughout the whole building. Two businesses which don’t belong in the same building. Once the partying finished we were then subjected to loud music from a neighbouring property. Then when that stopped, at 6am, the cleaner’s cupboard, right outside our room, became the next source of intermittent noise, with dustpans and brushes being bashed about. So, no sleep at all. In addition, the toilet is literally in the same room as the bed, just its on the mezzanine, with just as glass partition. So you can enjoy your partner’s toilet noises reverberating around the room as you try to doze having had no sleep. Nice. We booked 4 nights and left 2 nights early forfeiting our advance payment with no refund provided by the hotel. Just for completeness, the safety deposit box was inaccessible as the draw unit was jammed, we complained and there was no effort made to fix it. Probably been like that for a long time. Neither bedside light worked, the wiring disconnected and bulbs removed and only very stark bright overhead/wall lights so no ambiance at all. And, watch out if you are in this particular ground floor room, if you open the full length window/door you will wake up the poor homeless soul, sleeping in your window recess which opens out onto the adjacent square. I was gutted, having wanted to please my partner with a nice place to stay. I got it very wrong on this occasion. Always read the one/two star reviews as the warnings are there.

• Louise (8/5): - Very well located hotel. Beautiful interior. It's an old building that's been modified as a hotel by taking into consideration the existing architecture. The roof terrace is fab. Lovely views from it over the square. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Couldn't find anyone who could speak English which is surprising in a hotel of this standard. The band started playing early evening on the roof terrace and it was very loud. Even in our ground floor room it was booming.

L’insonorisation n’est pas de bonne qualité : on entendait facilement les bruits dehors ainsi que dans l’hôtel. La communication de la réception : nous avions une fois demandé une réservation d’un taxi pour 4h du matin, la réception nous a dit qu’ils s’occupaient de faire la réservation. Le soir d’avant, nous avons préféré demander si tout était en ordre et ils nous ont dit qu’aucun taxi n’était disponible à cette heure-ci et qu’on devait éventuellement regarder avec un Uber. Si nous n’avions pas redemandé une confirmation, nous nous serions retrouvés sans transport sans que personne nous ait avertis…

Schöner alter Kolonialstil aber gut renoviert. Waren zwei Nächte und mussten einmal umziehen, da das gebuchte Zimmer im ersten Stock nicht verfügbar war.

• James (8/5): A different hotel experience but that roof top bar can make up for a lot of idiosyncrasies. - Location quirkiness friendliness of staff and a magnificent roof top bar. The rooms and restrooms are unorthodox. The glazed toilet partitions next to the shower would not suit everyone. It can also be noisy.

An einem der Abende, an denen wir das Restaurant nutzen wollten, haben wir beim Betreten erfahren, dass die Küche bereits geschlossen ist. Leider konnten wir weder ein Sandwich oder Nachos oder sonst eine Kleinigkeit bekommen. Das war bei 6 Tagen Aufenthalt im Hotel enttäuschend. Das Taxi zum Flughafen, das wir rechtzeitig über das Hotel angefragt und reserviert hatten (dieser Service wird ausdrücklich angeboten), kam 45 Minuten später, was eine unnötige Hektik ausgelöst hat.

• Katherine (9/5): Very comfortable and friendly environment. - Lovely hotel with big rooms. Our windows opened to the plaza below. Our bathroom was tiny awkward in that the shower was a glass box in the corner of the room, next to the toilet in an opaque glass box. Otherwise, the room was spacious with a sofa, giant screen TV, small table for two, comfortable large bed, with reading lamps and nightstands. Wifi was good. The generous complementary breakfast was delicious with endless coffee. The employees at Domingo Santo are wonderful! The folks working the restaurant breakfast were engaging and fun. I do not have everyone's name but everyone was very friendly and professional. A very special thanks to Reception employee Aydee and Restaurant server Daniel--two employees who went beyond their roles to help us and make us feel welcome! We recommend Domingo Santo!

• Robert (8/5): Cordero Gerente the owner/manager was super helpful when I had a small issue with the hotel….he was amazing. Great - Set in a historic building overlooking the square. Beautiful. 7 Eleven convenience store across the street and excellent street food vendors right at your doorstep. Very good location for sightseeing. Easy walk to busy shopping streets and landmark buildings. Very good rooftop breakfast. Beds are comfortable. Place is very clean. Good shower, bathroom. Lovely rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Generally a very good vibe. Walkable to metro but a little far…Uber is so cheap in the city if you don’t like to use subway (which is amazing) It’s a little sketchy at night. But I never felt unsafe. Just not that many people around. Again, if you use Uber from wherever you are coming from you need not worry. Thursday - Sunday rooftop bad which is a noisy but it all ends early so it was not really a problem for us. Starts around 5:00 to 7:30 maybe later on Fridays.

We booked the presidential suite and the shower gel was empty, everything in the fridge required a bottle opener and there wasnt one and there wasnt even a spoon for coffee. • Valerie (8/5): - I was initially assigned a room on the main floor, at street level. It was very noisy. The manager very kindly offered to move me to a higher floor when a room became available. That was a huge improvement. The music from the upstairs restaurant is very loud. Rooms on the main floor also get a lot of noise from the street. The hotel is beautiful, but better soundproofing in the rooms would improve them a lot.

Wir hatten ein riesiges Eckzimmer mit Blick auf den Platz davor. In der Relation zum sehr großen Zimmer ist die Toilette sehr eng. Es gibt kein wirkliches Bad, die Dusche befindet sich praktisch im Zimmer. Für uns kein Problem, aber das sollte man wissen.

• Julia (5/5): Not coming back - Great location with a nice room The hotel had a private party on a Wednesday night till 2am. It was impossible to fall asleep since the music was extremely loud and you can hear it in the room. When talking to the staff it didn’t seem like they cared that much.
• Fernando (9/5): Un hotel perfecto en el centro de CDMX - Excelente ubicación, trato atento e instalaciones limpias y modernas. Muy buen desayuno. Cerca del centro histórico de CDMX. Sin duda un lugar para volver a quedarse. El personal fue muy amable en todo momento y la cama bien cómoda. No fue un problema en si para nosotros pero la ducha filtraba agua y encharcaba el suelo. Se lo comentamos a gerencia y se disculparon muchas veces y dijero que ya estaban en reparaciones. Por otro lado si uno quiere acostarse pronto suele haber música en directo en la terraza por las noches. Además al estar cerca de la plaza de Santo Domingo cuando hay conciertos o festivales también puede haber ruido, pero eso no es cosa de la gerencia del hotel.

• Daniel (9/5): - L'emplacement de l'hôtel à deux pas du Zocalo est parfait. L'hôtel a beaucoup de charme, belle décoration, les chambres sont assez spacieuses et, curieusement assez silencieuses vu leur emplacement en plein centre d'une Ville assez bruyante . Le personnel est à l'écoute, dévoué et toujours prêt à rendre service. Excellent petit déjeuner (compris dans le prix de la chambre en plus!) et le restaurant, de grande qualité, en rooftop est également un vrai plus si vous ne voulez pas trop arpenter les rues de Mexico la nuit . Excellent rapport qualité/prix, on recommande immédiatement. Salle de bain dans la chambre sans aucune cloison avec une douche aux parois entièrement transparentes, c'est un peu limite avec la notion d'intimité. Un verre opaque serait plus approprié.

• Selina (9/5): Das Hotel war super zentral gelegen, die Ausstattung und das Personal waren top - Der Service war wirklich exzellent ! Daniel und Leonardo haben uns bedient und wir haben alles gekommen was wir wollten. Obwohl viele kein Englisch konnten- haben Sie es immer möglich gemacht, dass jemand kam, der uns versteht. Das Essen war hervorragend. Geschmacklich und auch von der Portions Größe. In unserem Bad hat immer geknackt. Wir wussten nicht, woher das kommt, egal ob mittags was nicht so schlimm war aber nachts auch. Das einzige, was uns gestört hat, war das man die Livemusik bis ins Zimmer hörte. Es war so extrem laut. Aber sie ging zum Glück immer nur bis 19:00 Uhr. Wir sind dann danach essen gegangen.

Mención especial al personal de la terraza, desde meseros hasta el gerente que en todo momento estuvo al pendiente. La verdad todo estuvo excelente, no hay ningún pero, únicamente una observación en el caso de la regadera, es bonita e interesante el concepto pero hubiéramos preferido uno más privado.
• Laura Aznar (6/5): Hotel con encanto, pero no apto para quienes busquen descanso en fin de semana - El lugar es realmente bonito: espacios y decoración muy cuidados, una habitación deluxe con doble altura que era un lujo, y un personal muy amable. Además, los desayunos abundantes y ricos, servidos en una terraza con buenas vistas que invita a la relajación. El gran punto débil fue el ruido. Las habitaciones están mal aisladas y se escucha tanto el bullicio de la calle como el del propio restaurante del hotel y los ruidos del resto de huéspedes. El viernes y sábado hubo música en directo llamativamente alta y ambiente festivo hasta las 23:30–24:00, haciendo imposible descansar antes. Incluso en el desayuno, el volumen era más elevado de lo que pide un momento tranquilo para empezar el día, aunque nos hicieron el favor de bajarlo cuando lo pedimos. Nos ha llamado la atención no encontrar más reseñas que señalen este problema, ya que parece ser el ambiente habitual del hotel. Como consejo, sería ideal mejorar la insonorización y reducir el volumen de la música.

Keine Privatsphäre durch Glasdusche und Toilette im Zimmer
• Edna (9/5): - מיקום מנצח ממש מרכז העיר חמש דקות מהזוקאלו, חדר גדול מקלחת טובה ארוחת בוקר טובה על הגג . צוות מאוד נעים ועוזר. מלון מאוד קטן. קיבלנו חדר בקומת קרקע כשהשירותים למעלה . לא היה כתוב על כך כלום בבוקינג , אז לבדוק טוב כי המדרגות סכנת נפשות ללא מעקה. לאחר שסירבנו לקבל את החדר קיבלנו חדר גדול משודרג בתוספת תשלום ( לא משמעותי) קצת ריח לא נעים במקלחת.

• Olga (7/5): Great stay in authentic and safe area. - Great rooms, very comfortable beds and gorgeous rooftop with good breakfast. Location was good and felt safe - yet not the most touristy area. Good interior design. There were a few shortcomings - staff didnt speak much english, the plumbing smelled a bit in the room bathrooms and there were a few things we had to tell them to fix (lightbulb, dead cactus in room, no shower gel). Otherwise great stay to explore Mexico City.

• Aaron (7/5): Disappointed - The location is definitely perfect. Breakfast was nice and delicious at the terrace and the WiFi was stable I was disappointed with the competence of the staff. They hardly spoke English. I arrived at the hotel in the evening from an exhausting travel from Europe and was hoping to go to bed right away, only to meet this loud live music in the hotel. I was surprised since they didn’t write anywhere in the hotel description that there’s live music from Thursday to Saturday which goes till 10:30 in the evening. For me this was no go. I tried to ask for a different room a bit away from the music but they didn’t understand a word and their efforts to help was very little. Also when I asked for at least 30mins late check out because I couldn’t sleep the whole night due to the extreme loud live music, the answer was just “no”. Will I book it again? Probably yes but not on Thursday to Saturday

• David (2/5): - First night we got there at midnight bed was way to small for two my feet hung off and I am only 6ft tall . Moved us to another room . I took a shower and got glass all in my foot , I let that go then climbed in bed and glass all in my bed . So moved us to another room at midnight . Didn’t sleep at all on the stay and gave us nothing for the issues

• Carlos (10/5): Loved it! Definitely recommend this booking! - Absolutely loved the decor of the hotel. The terrace had a wonderful view of the plaza. The restaurant itself was delicious & the staff were incredibly kind & attentive. That applies to all the staff. Daniel made our check in so easy & efficient. He set us up in a room with a balcony view of the plaza just like I’d hoped/requested. They knew we were there as a couple for a birthday & placed a handwritten note inside a book of poetry on our bed. That was a lovely thought. Giovani also went above & beyond to make sure we were taken care of & his attentiveness really made us feel welcome & made our stay so enjoyable. He is definitely a wonderful host. Definitely looking forward to coming back, & i highly recommend it.

• Dee (10/5): Great experience - This place was lovely the room smelled delicious 🤩 it was very spacious and extremely clean . Their staff is very welcoming , Eduardo is a great host and very knowledgeable about the surroundings . Love how there's food vendors all over rt outside the door . It's pretty loud in the morning but at night time very calm and quiet. This was our first time in Mexico City everyone was very kind💖 . We would definitely recommend this hotel it really exceeded our expectations. Can't wait to come back 🤗 #Home away from 🏡 Everything was great
