- Mashele (7/5): UKZN autumn graduation ceremony at Westville campus - My experience at SUN1 Durban was generally pleasant. The hotel is strategically located and easily accessible, especially for travellers using public transport. It is conveniently situated opposite major bus terminals, making travelling very easy and cost-effective.
For example, one can board a bus from , arrive in Durban, check into the hotel for the night, and the next morning check out, attend to business or errands, then board a return bus without incurring additional transport costs between the hotel and the bus terminals. The only challenge is that the hotel no longer provides breakfast since the COVID-19 period. Bringing back this service would greatly improve the overall guest experience.
- Precious Busisiwe (6/5): -
- Sthobile (7/5): - Cleanliness and the staff There's no fridge in the room
- mayambela (5/5): i enjoyed my stayed besides not being allowed to have a quick shower after my marathon. - room was clean and comfortable, however the globe were not working it was dark in the room besides the bathroom in other hotels all over the country when runners book a hotel they are given an extra time to freshen up after their run as some of the travel very far , its not uncomfortable to drive back for more than 5 hours with sweat from running 42.2km. when we came back it was still early at 11:30 AM
- Mr. Nkhosinathi (8/5): - Good hospitality and friendly staff; Clear location and accessible to everywhere; Sometimes, some tenants have a tendency to make loud noises when passing through the corridors, along our rooms, no matter the time it is.
- Noneka (6/5): Not pleasant - Their beds are comfortable and their facilities are clean even though the area it is located is not very clean. Setup of the rooms is not family friendly and the fact that we are unable and not allowed to eat in our rooms, that was very unpleasant.

- Ngidi (5/5): -
- Khanyisile (6/5): - Value for money Rooms are too small including bathroom
- Khanyisile (6/5): - It was not bad Nothing
- Marlen (8/5): Great for budget travelers (room was always clean & fresh). Has safe parking for personal cars - The room had fresh towels, sheets and a handheld showerhead (perfect for anyone who doesn't want to get their hair wet). I’d recommend this room to people who are very close and comfortable with each other, since trips to the bathroom and bath time can be awkward for more reserved people. You’ll literally be sharing a single compartment. Pack an air freshener—it’ll help a lot! The room really needs more hooks/hangers, because we had to improvise to hang up wet towels, washcloths, and so on. Other than that, it was all good.
- Siyabonga (9/5): - Everything None
- Anga (8/5): Sun1 room 218 - The place is very clean. The stuff is friendly and warm. The location is perfect. I didn't like the fact that there's no bottled water in my room. When I arrived in my room I couldn't close the window because something was loose. When I used the toilet after flashing the water didn't stop I had to wake up and try to stop the water.
- Geraldine (10/5): it was lovely - The hotel is clean the rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable The parking should be closed off like it originally was. I was not comfortable with my car being parked there with no fence around the parking.
- Nontokozo (8/5): -
- Ngwenya (2/5): - Check in time unacceptable
- Nene (10/5): - Everything We need bar fridge
- Tshiamo (7/5): -
- Nompumelelo (9/5): -
- Thenjiwe (7/5): The hotel was clean and staff was friendly - Location was near to the place i visited The guest were roaming around the corridors i during late hours And early hours in the morning making noise. There was no peaceful sleep at all
- Ntokozo (10/5): - All service i have its sooo nice, i am looking forwad to book another stay🫡🫡🫡🫡salute
- Mywash (9/5): -
- sphe (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Mnyandu Ntokozo (10/5): The place was good and reasonable for its price. - Everything was fine. The location when traveling to the place is not clear I'd recommend that it becomes more specific to avoid delays and unnecessary waste of time and effort. The sheets were not clean as they were supposed to be and that needs a little bit of attention and the room is too small so the availability of a mop could assist.
- Muhammed (6/5): - .. .

- Ayanda (9/5): - The room was neat and clean and staff were friendly and welcoming Nothing
- Mbonambi (4/5): - The place was clean n peaceful , the staff where well educated They should improve WiFi connection , plugging points , there was no bath soup in the bathroom
- Slindile (5/5): - There's no safe parking and security guard that was on duty on the 31st said they reserve parking for someone when we want to park our car.
