- John (9/5): - The Lodge is our favourite place to stay in Nairobi! Quiet and comfortable with truly excellent staff - and good food too. Delightful garden in which to relax and look at the bird life! Great shower. There is no aspect of the Lodge we don't like. It is a modest 3* hotel without any fancy features or fittings but so many positives.

- Melissa (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay! Food is great, staff is so friendly. We come here annually and always look forward to it.
- Amy (9/5): - Beautiful garden, convenient location, all staff were lovely.

- Jeannette (9/5): Oasis on the edge of busy Nairobi - Breakfast in garden covered area was lovely - surrounded by flowers, trees and birds.
The veranda was pleasant place to sit and the lawn well groomed.
Handy for Karen Blixen museum and the Oloolua forest trail. The sausages!
Seemed very ultra processed.
Really nice to see filtered water in glass bottles in the room. But if you needed more water you had to buy single use plastic ones which soon adds up to a lot of waste.
- Vergara (9/5): Terrific option in Nairobi - The setting was very peaceful, the staff was excellent. Over-the-top helpful.🙏🏻 Would have liked to have coffee in the room as an option
- Rainer_Malta (10/5): Excellent value - Quiet place, nice rooms, friendly staff
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Laura (6/5): - Nice location and well decorated. The bed was comfortable and the shower was spacious and hot. The reception wasn't particularly welcoming or friendly on our 9pm arrival. Unfortunately there was no bug spray or mosquito net in the room so my partner was bitten at night and didn't sleep well. We didn't get to try out the restaurant as we had to leave early to catch a train but the packed breakfast was very poor, a jam sandwich, apple, crisp, boiled egg and only 2 out of 4 of our group got a juice included.
- Norbert (9/5): - It is a nice hotel in a pleasant suburb area of Nairobi. Kind and welcoming staff. Nice room, nice garden. Breakfast could have been better.
- Kathleen (10/5): Comfortable, friendly, accommodating. - Friendly. Request Micah as a driver around town. He’s the best! Nothing
- serge (8/5): bien - endroit farfait pour une étappe le bruit d'un générateur chez un voisin; pas d'alcool dans cet établissement, quel dommage
- Dar (10/5): -
- Ruth (9/5): Wonderful relaxing stay to relax and windows after a 10 day safari before a 28 hour trip back to the states. - Quiet and clean with wonderful hot shower Nothing

- Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden gem in Nairobi - Small and delightful in a beautiful setting. Staff and food were exceptional.
- Boon Guan (8/5): My home in Kenya - Love the quiet and relaxed ambiance. The deco is African lodge style with plenty of art. Love the books
Hot water shower reliable and not intermittent
Environmental friendly packing of our box breakfast
The staff are polite and helpful. Love Emanuel, Mimi, John, Grace and everyone there i forgoten.
This hotel feels safe and embracing. Feels like I am staying in a friend’s home
The icing on the cake, their cafe’s food is delicious.
Love the garden. Fascinating and well maintained Wish there are kettles in the room to boil water
Wish they have a dog there! That will make it really like home
- Pamela (8/5): Had a great stay at Acacia Tree Lodge. Thank you! - The breakfast was good, made to order eggs and good pastries and coffee to go with it.
- Edwin (5/5): good for missionaries, annoying for other guests - Not obvious from the webpage that this is a missionary hotel. The missionaries were loud and disturbing
- Penny (8/5): Great location, good room, reception staff just ok. - Lovely little lodge in a great location. The hub, nature trail and Karen Blixen were all within comfortable walking distance (40min was the longest walk - nature trail). The cafe staff were amazing, welcoming, friendly, smiley and helpful. The security guards were very thorough and friendly, really caring for our safety. The hotel reception staff were not really able to help us with questions and organising certain entrance tickets and activities outside of their advertised tours. Each time we went to reception to ask a question or hand our key for the day it seemed like an inconvenience.
- Caroline (8/5): A well located hotel in a safe and secure area of Nairobi. This was a good base from which to explore the Karen area. - Good location, quiet, secure site, helpful staff and clean rooms. No tea/coffee in rooms (but this was available in reception). Breakfast only open until 8:30 am.
- Karama (10/5): GREAT PLACE TO STAY - GREAT PLACE NONE
- Hobor (5/5): Nice stay in safe area, but nothing out of the ordinary - Nice stay in safe area, but nothing out of the ordinary
- Verified traveler (8/5):
- Celine (8/5): Very good -
- Danielle (9/5): Superb -
- Rose (8/5): Lovely! - The staff were excellent and helpful. Had to request for the water in the bathroom to be heated in the morning.
- Laurie (10/5): Will definitely stay again, as the rooms and staff are lovely and the outdoor cafe with free beeakfast is wonderful. Ha - Beautiful property with pleasant and helpful staff Can be a bit noisy due to halls that echo if people arrive late or leave early
- Sven (9/5): It's been my fourth stay and I'll come again! - Great location for stopover. Fast to airport. Close to nice restaurants and hiking options. Close to Nairobi National park.
Clean and comfy rooms. Very nice staff. Desk in room would be helpful.
- Sven (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): Lovely stay with very clean and comfortable bedrooms. Friendly staff and beautiful gardens. - Lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and a lovely restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasurable. The food at "Zekes" was tasty and plentiful, the rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfy. The fact that proceeds from our stay went to help a local community was the main reason why we chose this hotel. Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Marie (9/5): Lovely hotel in a really lush and quiet area of Nairobi - This place is such a gem. This was my first trip to Nairobi and could not have wished for a better accommodation or area to start exploring Nairobi. The room was clean, large and nicely decorated. I really enjoyed having breakfast in the garden and loved how peaceful everything felt. In hindsight, I wish we would have booked all our nights in Nairobi, to stay in Acacia Tree Lodge and skipped our stay in Westlands. There was really nothing to dislike, everything about this place was super nice and if you are doubting in which area of Nairobi to stay - do pick Karen as its an oasis compared to the very center of the city.
- JIANG (10/5): - We were not lucky on the night we stayed. There was a power outage late night in parts of Kenya and hotel’s power generator was on and it made loud noises. We could not sleep well. We understood that it was not hotel’s fault. All the staffs there are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good and sufficient. We will come back after our safari trip and we hope room will be quiet.
- Carlos (10/5): Very confortable and grate service - The staff was very helpful. Sandra helped us to arrange transportation late in the evening when both Bold and Uber were not available.
- Giancarlo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shane (10/5): - Super pleased with our stay here! The room was clean, cutely decorated with lots of space. Shower was big and had ample hot water (after about 30 secs of running).
Staff was very friendly with extra props for the kitchen crew and chefs. The food was so good at the end of our Nairobi trip we returned to Acacia Tree just to eat.
- Jennings (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were very friendly and super helpful to organise a courier on some items I needed. Everything was great.
- Mary (10/5): This is a gracious, warm, serene property in lovely Karen. We enjoyed walking to a nearby mall that had everything we ne - Warm & friendly staff, immaculately clean, lovely breakfast, on-site café, afternoon coffee & tea, gracious property. It was perfect. Travelers should be advised that there is not a bar, but alcohol may be purchased and enjoyed on the property. There is a TV in a main living room area.
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely quiet location with friendly staff and excellent service.
- Philip (1/5): Bad -
- Megan (10/5): Very pleasant - The location in Karen.
Very clean and very secure.
Good breakfast.
Staff were very friendly. Nothing.
- Nicholas (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (9/5): Great stay, thank you - Staff were all exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Very peacful and restful stay Nothing, everything very good.

- John (10/5): A delightful hotel with superb staff supporting a worthy cause - Well, my wife and I were completely bowled over by this truly delightful hotel! And we have traveled a great deal. The staff are exceptional - helpful, charming and engaging. Our room was very comfortable and the food was excellent, freshly cooked and delicious - the chef is great! Huge thanks to Joseph and his colleagues including Micah the driver we'll be back! The fact that we only booked four nights!
- Natasha (7/5): Pleasant accommodation for a short stay in Karen - Pleasant property with fantastic staff in a good location with a nice restaurant
The shower was excellent and the bed was comfortable Rooms were rather small and felt a little dated
The noise from the hallways was an issue due to the large gap in the door as other people have mentioned in their reviews
- Quentin (9/5): Superb -
- Felix (10/5): Exceptional - location, staff, the property nothing
- Felix (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacquie (10/5): A perfect place to use as a base to visit Nairobi. Would definitely recommend adding an day to hav - The lovely authentic style and furnishings, which were matched by the friendly, helpful, accommodating and happy staff. It was just a quick stopover for a couple of days but definitely stay again. Nothing to dislike.
- Terrance (9/5): Superb - Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pillows were uncomfortable.
- Abigayle (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caitlin (10/5): Tranquil and perfectly located - Tranquil and lovely! We had a wonderful stay. As soon as we entered the gates we immediately felt relaxed and comfortable. Everything is spotlessly clean and the staff were so helpful and friendly. We also loved the location- so close to all the things we wanted to do in Karen. Also as an extra bonus, they donate 100% of their proceeds to a local children’s charity. Definitely recommend Acacia Tree! Nothing, it was perfect.
- Ndagi (10/5): Excellence and Comfort for a greater good - This is a very cosy place to stay. Despite being a hotel, you get the feeling of being at home with very intentional and friendly customer service. The staff were extremely warm and proactive in offering help. And the food options from Zeke’s Cafe, right on the property, were excellent! Can’t rave too much about this place that provides excellent customer service, all for a greater good!
- Amanda (5/5): Passable - All clean. Bathroom good Bed was very uncomfortable. Fan broken so you couldn't stop it turning. As it was warm we needed the fan but it kept clicking when it turned.
- Garth.suhr (10/5): Stunning Hotel - Absolutely beautiful hotel. Great location, close to everything we needed. The staff was very accommodating and helped us with checking us in late, laundry etc. Would love to stay again some day.

- Brendan (10/5): - Acacia tree lodge was a comfortable, clean, and safe stay in a lovely part of town.
- Albert (9/5): Wonderful place to stay in Karen. Will always stay here when in Nairobi. - Clean, quiet, beautiful landscaping, flowers, plants. All staff are friendly and helpful. Have stayed here 3 times and have never been disappointed. Food is really good. Nice outside dining area. Gift shop is a good addition. Great location.
- Diana (10/5): - Lovely quiet hotel with amazing staff
- Sally (7/5): Good -
- Maria (9/5): Always our base in Nairobi. - When travelling through Nairobi we always choose to stay at Acacia Tree Lodge. It is perfectly located in the Karen, is very secure and a safe area and provides a very 'home away from home' personal service. It is relatively small so as not to be too busy and with the addition of the cafe now provides food and beverage options throughout the day. Service is always very friendly and helpful. We book airport transfers through the lodge and they can also assist with booking any local tour arrangements etc. You do need to be mindful of noise; the corridors can echo and if you have rooms the side of the cafe then you will be aware of them setting up in the morning. There is also a very annoying high pitched noise connected to a pump that will annoy if you have rooms at the back - I believe they are sorting this though - they need to!
I would recommend putting mosquito nets in all the rooms as they seem to have been removed and are needed.
Service from the kitchen can be slow and their is no alcohol license so you need to take your own if you want wine or a beer with a meal.
- Clement (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tishern (8/5): Very good -
- Anne-marie (8/5): Very good - Room are spacious and very clean.
- Rashindu (9/5): An excellent, cozy lodge in the heart of Karen serving personalised cuisine. - I really liked the friendly service and attention to detail. When wifi was choppy the staff went out of their way to ensure this issue was sorted. I like that this place is in Karen and surrounded by nature and close proximity to the Giraffe center and other cultural shopping places. Just the choppy Wifi in the farthest rooms Otherwise all was good
- Dagmar (10/5): Perfect hide away in Nairobi - Acacia Tree Lodge is located in a serene area in Karen. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff is super friendly. They have a beautiful garden restaurant, where they serve delicious meals. I've been here multiple times and keep on coming back!
- Olona (8/5): Very good -
- Lawrie (8/5): Staff were excellent. Room were very clean. - Very good but could have a little more variety like a continental breakfast as well. Room safe needs to be a little bigger.
- Jan-Erik (10/5): A place with a positive atmosphere - Acacia Tree Lodge is a place with a very welcoming atmosphere. The service is excellent. Food is always served quickly and is great. Rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable. When in Nairobi again, I hope to be back.
- Rory (6/5): Pleasant - great location Dull restaurant with no alcohol
- Renate (8/5): We all enjoyed our time tremendously and will come back when going to Nairobi. - The kindness and always happy faces of the staff. Everybody was trying to make our stay as memorable as possible. "our group and also friends will always come back. We didn't like that at one morning the gras was sprayed with anti insect fume. It was a terrible disturbance, knowing that that fumigation material is toxic when breathing in.
- Renate (9/5): We will always come back and recommended to our friends - The helpfulness of the staff Not so hard cushions
- Clara (9/5): Superb - Our stay at Acacia Tree Lodge was wonderful. All members of the staff are always very kind, helpful and attentive. The property and rooms are well furnished and always clean. Breakfast and dinner à la carte were delicious. Unfortunately, the building is not very soundproof, so that you'll hear people checking in and out at night if you have light sleep.
- Renate (8/5): We will always come back - The staff was extremely polite and attentive.
Smiling all the time….
- Cornelia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vee (7/5): Great location if you plan to be out and about - The lodge is at a great location. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.
- Frederic (9/5): Superb -
- Jetsky88 (8/5): Great relaxing stay - We really enjoyed our stay here, especially in regards of the serene and quiet location. Sitting in the garden and just enjoying the sound of birds chirping was really soothing. The staff are really excellent and accommodating. The breakfast was very nice, being served outdoors with an egg station. No crowds whatsoever, making us feel we are alone at the hotel. Above each door, there is a one inch open gap, meaning that sound propels directly from the rooms into the shared corridor. This seemingly completely unnecessary opening means that one could hear talks from other rooms. This has been shared by many reviewers and I do not understand why it cannot be fixed.
- Christine (9/5): Superb -
