• TIAN CHING (8/5): Nice Classic Japanese Room Experience & Breakfast - I like the classic Japanese ryokan feel of the hotel. The given the Japanese style rooms with a comfy futon to sleep in like a baby. The breakfast selections were generous & plentiful to choose from, mainly Japanese breakfast dishes. Customer service was good, helpful & clear. Appreciate their front desk friendly staffs ever ready assistance. The hot spring was nice tho there’s no view at all. But overall well maintained & spacious! The hot spring doesn’t have a rotenburo style, would be nice if they’ve one. The other parts of the buildings looks quite dated luckily my room is classic simple cosy cold resistance unit. Generally facilitates are sufficient to keep guest busy, they have game rooms too!!

Bathroom was not very good and there was a tax fee to be payed that was substancial when compared with the whole amount of the reservation. This should be clear in the booking page so people are prepared. Unusable WiFi.
• AKIKO (10/5): 3日間癒され旅でした！またお邪魔させていただきます。 - ウィンタースポーツの拠点として連泊しましたが、疲れた身体に温泉とサウナが最高でした！！ お値段もお得で食べ飲み放題！！ お食事の内容も充実していて、期間限定フェアで、すき焼きも食べ放題、生ビールや長野の地酒も数種類いただけたので大満足でした。 本当に良く無かった点は、全く無かったのですが…。 強いて言うならば、喫煙所を館内に設置していただけると嬉しいです。

Though a bit older, I still t - The staff were very friendly and accommodating,, the location was incredibly convenient, and the onsen was lovely! I also like the availability of ‘full board’ meals. It’s a bit of an older property and could use some cosmetic brush ups on paint and the like.

• Sarah (9/5): Lovely traditional style hotel with Onsen near Yudanaka Station - They have free luggage storage before checkin and after checkout. Wifi was good. They have Karaoke Rooms & ping pong downstairs you can hire for free. The Onsen was a lovely indoor and outdoor onsen. I even got some time in there all by myself which was lucky. Lovely traditional Japanese tatami rooms with separate sitting area and private bathroom. Our bathroom was a bit weird but it was probably more traditional and quirky which always makes your experience different and memorable. We had a great view over the town from our room. It was close to Yudanaka Station. There is a nice large lounge downstairs and a ski storage room, a Gift shop and a waterfall feature in the lobby. There's Yukata options downstairs in different sizes. We had breakfast included and it was buffet style and had many options though they don't change day to day. You can also add on a dinner package or pay for one time use. I believe it is also buffet style and has all you can drink alcohol but we never did it. The only thing I could say is it was cold in the hallways but everything else was good. We didn't stay on the weekend as the price was expensive, we just stayed weekdays where it was more reasonable.
• Thanh (8/5): Love it - Good breakfast and dinner, onsen in and outside. Good location for bus ride to Shigakogen. Nice staff and lobby. Good value. Futon and pillow could be better. We use the onsen facility instead of the bathroom, as bathroom kind of strange to us.

• Ángela (5/5): - La ubicación y que cuenta con parking. La habitación es amplia y cálida. Ambos onsen están muy bien y tienen una parte exterior. Nos tocó en una habitación al lado del restaurante del hotel. En cuanto lo vimos preguntamos si había posibilidad de cambio a otra planta y no se nos concedió. Se escuchó hasta tarde ruidos lógicos de un restaurante recogiendo (platos, etc) y por la mañana muy pronto igual. La almohada fue bastante incómoda. Lo que menos nos gustó fue que pese a la limpieza del sitio, el baño tenía un olor desagradable por el cual tuvimos que cerrar la puerta y no usarlo.

• Roland (9/5): - Großes "Kurhotel" mit eigenem Onsen. Es kommen bestimmt auch Gäste nur zum Baden im muneralreichem, heissen Thermalwasser aus oberirdischer Quelle her. Preis/Leistung war genial bei Übernachtung incl. Halbpension. Das Essen wird in einem großen Saal im Buffet - Kantinenstil serviert. Es ist also kein Feinschmecker aber qualitativ durchaus in Ordnung. Dazu freie Getränke, auch gutes Bier und verschiedene Sake der Region zum interessanten durchprobieren. Zu Fuß kann man dann länger durch einen alten Onsen-Ort zu den Snow Monkeys wandern (und mit dem Bus wieder zurück fahren). Es war eine sehr schöne Erfahrung in einem (bezahlbaren) Ryokan zu übernachten. Klar kann man für einiges mehr an Geld in dem Gebiet auch luxuriöse Erlebnisse machen. Fazit: authentisch, man schläft auf einer Matte auf dem Boden, eine wundervolle Erfahrung und Preis/Leistung ein Hit.
• plat74 (9/5): Prima hotel! - Prima hotel in het centrum van yamanouchi. Kamers ruim, met tatamivloer en futons. Heerlijk bad met sauna in het hotel. Wel gescheiden en alleeen toegankelijk als je geen tatoos hebt. Maar fantastisch en als wat je nodig hebt wordt aangeboden, tot scheermessen aan toe. Diner voldoende keuze, geen Europese keuzes maar lekker! All you can drink, bier en sake en uiteraard fris. Ontbijt heeft wel wat Europese keuzes. Als je zin hebt, kun je ook tafeltennissen of aan de karaoke. Wij waren met de auto, maar heel dichtbij het station. Met de auto naar het ski gebied shiga kogen kan een uitdaging zijn als het gesneeuwd heeft. Douche stonk en beetje, maar geen gebuik van gemaakt want het bad zat op onze etage, en veel lekkerder!

The onsen was good, with outside and inside areas The staff does not speak English and told us only on the day of arrival that we could not have dinner if the check in was after 6pm (that information was crucial and prevented us from using that part of the service we purchased). Moreover, when we arrived and asked for alternatives, the lady told us to go to a combini store when we found out there were still some restaurants open in the area!! Very bad first impression on arrival
