For example, both the public washroom area and fitness center were very dirty and rubbish everywhere. Room service was unhelpful

They did not even look remorseful or properly react to how inconvenient it was to stay in a room smelling like cigarettes

Jin Peh (10/5): A Great Place to Stay close to Muscat international Airport - The hotel is located close to Muscat International Airport, allowing travelers to rest here for a night before taking their flights the next day. Staff were very caring and understanding and made my stay very pleasant. I enjoyed the Iftar buffet that had a good range, as did breakfast. Reception staff also helped me organise a taxi to get me to the airport, they managed to change my dirhams into riyals as cash was needed for the taxi. I was also able to organise a late check out at 6 pm as I had a night flight. I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. While it was 100 percent full due to the events of March 2026 in the region, staff were able to assist and reassure the guests.
Dmitrii (8/5): - Location is good for arriving and departing travelers flying through Muscat airport early morning and late at night. Muscat Speedway Karting is just few minutes by car. You can go there and enjoy the race. Dinner buffet food is not tasteful. Breakfast is okay. Air flow from the central ventilation system was not fresh in our room. They need to change or clean air filters.

Urs (9/5): - The place is nice, I liked the room, the food, the terrace. And of course the vicinity to the airport, which was the whole point for me to choose this hotel. I didn't come with my own car and found out that it is impossible to get anywhere from the hotel by foot. Just to get to a supermarket, which is essentially around the corner, I had to call a cab, have it wait for me at the supermarket, and drive me back. This was quite inconvenient. No chance to stroll around to see what else there may be, and a cab bill (10 rials) that exceeded my grocery bill. By the same token, it is impossible to get to the nearby beach by foot, even though it's not far. So I didn't go, otherwise I would have.
Faisa (10/5): The hotel says on the website is airport hotel but not inside the hotel is 10 minutes drive and that’s not what I expect - Staff is outstanding and very respectful. Nothing was near by, I had to take a taxi to get to the town and stores.

Marcovinicio (4/5): Disappointing hotel - if it was branded as an Ibis it would be more reflective of its standard - Check in was smooth and staff were friendly. Location close to the airport was good although there were some road closures near by which meant time to get there was longer than I anticipated. Good availability of parking. The standard of the hotel was poor - it should brand itself Ibis rather than Novotel. The door in my bathroom was patched up. The towels were very worn and old. Not the standard I would expect from a Novotel especially given the price of the room. Breakfast did not start on time and given I was on a tight schedule - this was annoying.
