Guest Reviews
- Ryan (9/5): Perfect property to have as a base to explore the Barossa - The welcome wine was a nice surprise. We really liked that the house was in a quiet spot but not too far out of town centre. Happens to be a short walk from one of our favourite wineries...... We didn't use the bikes but would when we go back. I think it would be a great place to stay with kids, especially enjoying that beautiful big lawn and outdoor area. Really liked that we had our own bathrooms as well. I felt secure enough, but my friend felt exposed with no side fence. Everything else was wonderful.

- Sally (10/5): Enjoyable and relaxing stay, highly recommended - Clean, comfortable, spacious, well laid out. Good amenities. Maybe just a little far to walk from the centre of Tanunda.
- Alexander (10/5): Love the place and will come back next year with our friends. - Kitchen supplies exceeded expectations No hot water on the last night and morning of leaving.
First bedroom on left - shower enclosure dismal and offered no protection from shower water onto surrounding floor.
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Celia (9/5): Perfect for 3 couples - Garden was fabulous - photos don't do it justice. Having an ensuite with every bedroom was a great feature. Bikes made it easy to get to the main street for dinner and a couple of wineries are walkable. Pantry was generously stocked with staples and breakfast provisions were good, but you need to BYO bacon. A very impressive selection of shot glasses! Would recommend and would come back. Basic soap is supplied for showering, but no other amenities. A few cobwebs around inside & out.
- Janetta (9/5): Superb -
- Ellen (7/5): Large comfortable property but the instructions for keys could be better - The breakfast provisions were great and very generous. Very quiet street at night. House was very large and the driveway easy to park in. Appliances in the kitchen also functioned well and kitchen was well equipped. The instructions for collecting and leaving the keys was not clear and changed. There was conflicting information in the information pack in the house and the messages via booking.com and from the local person we were provided contact with for the keys. Much easier if there is a coded lock box. This was additional unnecessary stress added to the journey.
Also found the water for the showers to be tepid one morning, We found we needed to use the "top up" switch in the kitchen to ensure warm water.
Only one bedroom has hypoallergenic bedding, The others have feather. May need to BYO if you have allergies to feather.
- Maria (10/5): Perfect getaway for couples - As 3 couples travelling together, we loved that there were 3 spacious bedrooms with comfy beds (2 QS & 1 King) as well as 3 bathrooms & a spacious living area. Everything was clean & well presented, with some breakfast provisions & other staples included. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nothing really.
- Zane (9/5): Absolutely loved our stay, lovely comfortable house where we felt at home…. Thanks!!! - Excellent communication from the people managing the property. There was a lot of extras left at the property to help make our stay comfortable. Easy was an easy walk into town…. A very, very lovely stay indeed!! Nothing
- Desra (10/5): Fantastic. - We had 3 couples. Great to have a bathroom each. We had a wedding at Peter Lehmann wines do location was perfect. Thankyou Nothing really. Showers made for a very wet bathroom floor! Not a real issue though. Just wet bath mat!!
- Peter (10/5): Probably the best accommodation I have ever booked - The supplies for breakfast were exceedingly generous.
I hav never experienced such a vast array of toiletries in all my travels Having to vacate the premises!
- Paul (10/5): Great stay with friends in a a very comfortable and clean house - Great facilities. Very clean. Added extras left by guest
- Maria (9/5): Superb -
- Mike (10/5): Amazing house with everything 3 couples travelling together could need. - One of the most comfortable houses we have stayed in. Perfect for 3 couples travelling together. Had everything we needed including a welcoming assortment of breakfast ingredients. Extremely well appointed house and the location was excellent too. Shower design could have been better, with water going everywhere. Wasn’t too pleased with this but only a minor irritation.
- David (10/5): Excellent spacious home from home - Spacious home with excellent facilities in a quiet neighbourhood. Extremely comfortable and clean. Generously provisioned with essential foods to get our stay off to a great start. No complaints at all!
- Meegan (9/5): Excellent Location, Spacious well equipped home, plenty of breakfast goodies. - Excellent Location, Spacious well equipped home, plenty of breakfast goodies.
- Paul (10/5): We loved everything about our stay at Lochnagar. The home was absolutely spotless and very spacious. -
- Sergio (9/5): Excellent property for a weekend away with your family or three couples. - Perfect house for a group of people, especially 3 couples. Facilities were modern and property was very clean. Although the house was in a safe and peaceful location, it was that little stretch too far from the main street in town.
- Diana (9/5): Great Home for Three Couples - This was a pleasant surprise - as a regular holiday home renter we were thrilled to find a comfortable home with so much more - after a disastrous flight delay and general Qantas fiasco with luggage we arrived in the dark, starving to find the fridge filled with breakfast supplies and enough wonderful produce to hit the spot! The house was perfect for three couples with three ensuited queen bedrooms, all really generous in size. The garden was so well maintained and we enjoyed oranges picked straight from the tree! Bikes in the garage were a bonus and unfortunately we didn't have enough time to enjoy everything. Location was great in Tanunda, quiet street and walkable to town about 20 mins. It was a really comfortable stay, kitchen was really well stocked, beds were super comfy, access was easy, owner was contactable (but the place was immaculate this was not needed) and I would highly recommend. Thanks for having us!
- Timothy (9/5): Super Impressive - 3 ensuites Clean, quiet good facilities Would like a puratap to have filtered water for drinking installed
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional - There was eggs, bacon , bread, butter and spreads, even porridge sachets, milk, juice, tea and coffee. Everything was though of!
The house was exceptionally clean and so comfortable. We had a great stay
- Brigida (10/5): Most enjoyable stay. Large bedrooms, relaxing living area and garden. Immaculately clean. - Generous breakfast in fridge. Very spacious - large bedrooms, relaxing living area and garden. Immaculately clean. Nothing!!
- Bruce (9/5): We had a great time catching up and our accommodation was a great base for local eating options - Breakfast and condiments were great. Clothes washing facilities very useful. Kitchen very well appointed. Lounge/Dining area very roomy and very relaxing for the 5 of us. Bathrooms were the weak point
1. Exhaust fans not sufficient to prevent fogging up
2. Water splashing in bathroom areas problematic
3. Limited provision to hang dry towels when staying multiple nights (could use clothes dryer if necessary - just power conscious)
- Nandakumar (10/5): They really have thought of everything! - It is a gem of a property. Beautifully architected and extremely well decorated. Excellent furnishing and supplies in all rooms, bathrooms and bedrooms. Kitchen is well stocked with more than enough glassware, utensils and cutlery. Basic supplies beyond expectations Bread, eggs, bacon, two bottles of wine!! The well manicured and private outdoor area and a garage with 6 bikes to ride is really a cherry on top. Photos don’t do justice how well appointed this house is. Oh wait that is a positive.
- Nikhil (9/5): Superb - The house was one of the best stay I had in recent times. It had all the things in the house from cutlery, fridge, washing machine. The way we were welcomed in the house was great. I would recommend this place and would be my destination next time I visit
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vivian (9/5): Silver surfers travellers - Location and size of property, very comfortable. All good, nothing to dislike
- Jennie (10/5): - The property was immaculate and well located and was great having ensuites off all bedrooms. Had excellent kitchen and facilities and very comfortable,
The friends who stayed with me from interstate want to return with relatives for Christmas in July they were so impressed.
- Ali (10/5): Great accommodation in Tanunda - Really well stocked house with all of the breakfast provisions you would need, plus extras like olive oil, salt & pepper etc, and fresh fruit. Really clean, comfortable house, good location for easy driving access to many wineries, walking distance to Langmeil.
