- Verified traveler (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay in Blyth. Room was basic but clean and tidy and the owner very friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I found the owners very friendly and helpful.
Room was very clean and tidy.
Bathrooms updated and clean.
Dinner and breakfast good selection.
- BARRIE (10/5): - THE STAIRCASE DIFFICULT TO NEGOTIATE WITH LUGGAGE. LACK OF HAND RAILS TOP SECTION, HAVE TO RELY ON STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF BALUSTRADE VERTICAL RAILS
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great country pub with nice staff and good food. Room and bathroom very clean
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Owner was very accommodating when we realised our booking had been accidentally made for the following day.. Typical old country town pub, old, creaky and a bit past needing a bit of a face lift. Have to go to bathroom down the hallway, but excellent shower!
Breakfast is a complete non event, but for the price per night it’s a reasonable place to spend a night.
- Jo (8/5): - Room was recently refurbished so was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms too were modern and very easily accessible.
Sadly couldn't open balcony doors due to building works.
All in all a good stay and would stay again. Thanks for looking after us.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bathroom shared, room clean, comfortable, no tv, staff and locals very friendly
- Kate (10/5): - Classic pub hotel, done up really nicely, affordable and very comfortable. Great place to stay if you're working short term in the area. The new owners are lovely, I'd definitely stay here again.
- Rod (8/5): Under New Management - The Blyth Hotel is a traditional country pub with accommodation. Darren and Leigh, were welcoming and friendly. The room was renovated and very clean with a view over the veranda and Main Street.
Breakfast was cereal, toast and coffee, which was ample before we head off to some wineries.
Interestingly everywhere we went the locals were happy to know the hotel was under new management.
We would definitely stay again
- Hugh (10/5): Big Hotel in a small town - Very solid Hotel. Everything that is required is provided.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Country Gem - The hotel is basic but for the price is a great option especially when Clare is full, too expensive or you want to stay somewhere quaint. The service is friendly and thorough.
The rooms are newly updated and although smallish they are adequate with comfortable bed, new linen, air con or fan.
The shared bathroom facilities are also newly updated and pleasant to use.
The breakfast is also an added bonus with cereal and toast and put out the night before so you can enjoy at whatever time.
The only minor comments are - the squeaky floor as it’s an old place so you can hear when others are up, the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper as was a full house when I was there and the pub closes early but this can be a positive item too.
I would stay again when in the area.
- mick (8/5): Friendliest local pub - Had a great night meeting the locals, had wonderful counter meal, a a very comfortable bed, would recomend highly
- sharin (8/5): Handy spot to stay overnight after the Clare races - The room was big and nicely decorated, the only things missing was a minibar and your own bathroom. But that’s being picky
The shared bathrooms were a good size and convenient to our room.
The snitzel dinner we had in the dining room was fantastic
The owner Jared was welcoming and regaled is with many stories of the hotel upgrade as well as the local sporting teams and surrounding area history.
Overall we enjoyed our stay
- Sharon (4/5): Basic - No TV in room
No access to Wifi
No attempt to celebrate Easter with the added touch of a hot cross buns at breakfast or tiny egg with coffee
Ladies toilet out of toilet paper from 4am and still not replaced by the time we left at 9am
No blow wave hair dryer in communal shower room and no sign of staff prior to leaving to ask about it.
A little concerned that emergency exit if there was a fire was through a combination lock door into private access room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - such a great stuff, very friendly and hospitable, comfortable bed, clean toilet, but the air smelled of paint and air condition and old ceiling fan both are make noise.
