• Elise (10/5): - La chambre est simple et propre, avec des rangements penderie astucieux en tête de lit, des prises un peu plus proche du lit pourrait être un plus mais dans l'ensemble la chambre est tout à fait fonctionnelle. Le petit déjeuner est varié et très bon ! La réceptionniste du soir parlait français c'est toujours un petit plus agréable (mais pas nécessaire). La gare centrale est à 2 minutes à pied, parfait pour moi qui voyage en train et la vieille ville est à 15/20minutes à pied donc très facile à rejoindre.

El hotel muy bien tenía Netflix, aire acondicionado, agua caliente y siempre se agradece iniciar el día con un desayuno como jamón, salami, quesos, yogurt, jugo, pepinillos, pan, croissant, café, leche y después tener los pasos, caminar mucho y hasta bajé de peso (lo utilizaré ahora como dieta) Y a unos pasos de la central de trenes, a una estación del aeropuerto. Lo malo, la zona alrededor hay vagabundos, huele mal pero nunca hubo ruido y dormí muy bien.
• Joe (10/5): - Rooms are very nice but would not be good if you have difficulty with stairs. The elevator only stops between the room floors (ceiling height is very high so you still have to climb 10 stairs from the elevator). Area is not the nicest, but conveniently near the train station. You need to walk 2 - 3 blocks to find a nice restaurant.
• William (8/5): - Hotel Cristall does an excellent job at providing a good accommodation in a convenient location for a reasonable price. The hotel is cozy, the room was clean overall, the breakfast was fairly simple but good, and the service was outstanding. I would stay again and recommend to others without hesitation.

• Morgan (10/5): - I loved my stay at Hotel Cristal. It was such a pleasant surprise as I just wanted to book an inexpensive hotel by the train station so I could crash after a late train in. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, I was greeted with a large bottle of complimentary water, and the included breakfast in the morning was fantastic. The room was small but clean and updated, and the air conditioning worked great. The short walk from the train station to the hotel felt very safe (you can see the hotel out the side entrance of the train station) and I got a nice late meal half a block away. I wouldn’t go much further into the surrounding area alone after dark but it was a great place to spend the night before catching a train to the airport in the morning.
• Sigrid (10/5): - Lage direkt neben dem Hauptbahnhof. Nicht so sehr schöne Umgebung, aber super praktisch, weil wir mit dem Zug angereist sind. Sehr freundliches Personal. Check-in schnell und unkompliziert. Eine kleine Süßigkeit auf dem Bett fand ich aufmerksam. Zimmer mit Klimaanlage und TV sauber, kompakt, funktional, modern, hell und freundlich. Gute Betten. Seife im Badezimmer am Waschbecken und in der Dusche sehr praktisch. Sonnen- und Verdunkelungsrollos an den Schallschutzfenstern echt angenehm. Alles funktioniert einwandfrei. Frühstücksbuffet gut. War für uns für die Durchreise perfekt. Gerne wieder.

• DDDRW (8/5): Good for a quick overnight in and out of the main train station. - The hotel was pleasant, and the staff was helpful. The location was convenient and close to the train station. The neighborhood did not have many close by restaurants they were all two blocks or more away, and many were closed. The area got a little dicey after dark with a lot of open drug use around the station.

• Johannes (8/5): - Verrassend prettig hotel in de wat ongure omgeving rond het hoofdstation van Frankfurt. Prima voor een overnachting en compleet met een ontbijtbuffet voor een héél schappelijk prijsje. Er is weliswaar een lift, maar die stopt op tussenetages dus je moet wel minimaal twee keer een stukje traplopen. Er is dubbelglas, goede verduistering en airco zodat je weinig van eventuele drukte buiten merkt. Stap je het hotel uit dan ben je ook meteen binnen 50 meter van het station. De inrichting is apart, maar best gezellig als je van kleurigheid houdt. De bedden waren prima en de staf vriendelijk.

However it is too close to the riff raff that hang around the train station. I saw lots of open drug use and did not venture out after dark. Limited dining in the immediate area.

• krys_kros (8/5): Close to the train station - Hotel is next to the Hauptbahnhof (5 min walking) Be ready to carry your luggage, they have steps at the entrance and the elevator is in between levels so you either have to carry it up or down to the room. The room have a comfy bed and pillow, good water pressure and window to open it for cold air in winter (no a/c). Can be noisy at night. Wi-Fi could be better and a mirror in the room would be nice. Good Breakfast. Easy check-in / out. Friendly staff.

Staff on reception were all very helpful. There was maps and information pamphlets available. Breakfast had plenty variety and no shortage. No tea making facilities in room but we're able to have a drink in foyer.

Es gibt ein sehr feines Frühstücksbuffet. Nachteil: der Aufzug hält zwischen den Etagen, hatte etwas Mühe meinen Koffer ins Zimmer zu bringen (..habe eine Verletzung an der Schulter)

• Joe (8/5): Good budget hotel - It was okay, right next to Frankfurt Main Central Station. I didn't hear much noise from the trains but more noise of people wandering around late at night. It is an older building with small room size for single person. It has air conditioning which is perfect during the summer and descent wi-fi. TV was all in German though, Front desk allow me 1 hour early check-in. I also received a free bottle water. Staff was great and free breakfast was descent. Great for a backpacker like me or a 1 night stay for connecting flights

Pessoal da recepção muito amigável e atenciosos. Embora não tenha tido nenhum contratempo, o local próximo a estação é um atrativo, porém, a volta da estação não é um local bem frequentado, há de ter atenção ao se deslocar.

Unfriendly service and horrible location - Would not recommend staying there, it is situated in the worst area in Frankfurt close to the red light district with many junkies around the hotel. Further the employees are very unfriendly and on the checkout I was given a wrong invoice and the hotel refused to change it. Will not stay there again!

• Verified traveler (4/5): Old hotel and staff unfriendly - The elevator is located "between" two floors, therefore luggage will need to be carried up and down. Entrance also with several stairs. If you have heavy luggage or need barrier free environment, this hotel will never be your choice. Room is renovated but still not up-to-date. Only one electric socket available in the room. Crazy!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Siisti hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla - Hotelli sijaitsi rautatieaseman vieressä. Samalla aukiolla oli poliisiasema ja hotellin seutu oli rauhallinen (toisin kuin muu rautatieaseman seutu). Huoneessa oli kokolattiamatto, joka voi allergiselle olla hieman ongelmallinen. Patja oli melko kova ja tyyny vielä kovempi. Huoneessa ei ollut jääkaappia eikä vedenkeitintä, mutta muuten huone oli hyvä. Aamiaishuone oli pieni ja välillä se oli melko täynnä. Aamiainen oli suomalaiseen makuun hyvä perusaamiainen. Henkilökunta hotellissa oli ystävällistä.

• MIKIKO (8/5): 交通アクセス便利、美味しい朝食 - 到着日と帰国の前日に、2回利用しました。中央駅すぐ近くで、立地がよく、朝食もついていてコスパが良いホテルです。階段が多く、1回目に宿泊したときは少し大変でしたが、2回目は、地上階のダブルルームにグレードアップしてくれて感激しました。フランクフルト市内と空港までの交通機関を2日間利用できるホテルチケットを買うことができたのも良かったです。スタッフさんたちも、フレンドリーでした。

• christinas115 (8/5): Clean, modern, and convenient. - We chose this hotel for its proximity to the train station (literally across the street.) While you do have to go up steps to the lobby, there is an elevator to get to your room. The room was very modern, with a nice clean bathroom and comfortable bed. The only weird thing was a lack of plugs in convenient spots. My husband had to plug in his CPAP all the way across the room because there were no plugs by the bed. The large window opened onto a lively urban view. Breakfast was good. I'd stay there again.

• Joanne (10/5): - We enjoyed our brief stay at the Hotel Christall. It is very close to the Frankfurt Hbf which was important to us. The air-conditioned room was perfect for our one-night stay. Breakfast was just right. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. While it was a bit of a walk, we enjoyed going to the river and an older part of the city. We would stay again.

Surrounding area not very nice but that is to expect being few steps from the main station. Also, the lift goes to 1-2 or 3-4 floors. Not good for travellers with big luggage.

• gecko24 (8/5): Solid hotel near the train station - Comfortable quiet hotel adjacent to Frankfurt Main Hbf train station and easy to spot as you walk out the north entrance. Though some say the area is sketchy we found it to be fine and typical of any inner city location. Reception was manned 24/7, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, the window was openable and the heating on the radiator adjustable (it was set far too hot for us but our visit was mid winter). The continental breakfast included in our room rate was fresh and tasty with a better than average coffee machine and a nice and well-serviced breakfast room. They will hold your bags for you and best of all, they have a 12 noon check-out time - brilliant if travelling as we were, on a later day train or flight. Like all European hotels, we did miss having a jug to boil water in the room to make yourself coffee or tea. The all in one soap/shampoo dispensers also do not thrill us but we bring our own. You do have to negotiate a short flight of steps to reach reception and then to reach the elevator - not a problem for us but to note if you have mobility issues. If we are transiting through Frankfurt by train again we would shortlist this hotel. The price we paid was slightly higher than I see it can be due to I presume, the time of year and the fact a convention was on at the Convention Centre (and many other similar 3 star hotels were booked out).

Many options for food and drink within walking distance. Hotel staff was nice and friendly, the breakfast was decent, and the room and bathroom were clean. I do wish there was an outlet closer to the bed. Other than that, it was a good stay.

• SachaP67 (8/5): Good budget hotel - Stayed at Hotel Cristall overnight while in transit. Proximity to the train station is excellent and it is easy to find when you walk out of the station. The room was on the first floor, was fine and had all the necessary amenities. It was very hot in Frankfurt during my stay and the air conditioner worked nicely. Room was overall clean and well appointed for the price, although if you want to use the elevator you need to go up or down a flight of stairs to get to it. Breakfast was included which was good and saved me from having to hunt around for food in the morning. Sure, it's not 5 star, but for the price it was great and if I was staying here longer it would have been perfectly fine.
