Guest Reviews
- Scott (8/5): - We arrived to Raja and was welcomed by reception. Very pleasant. We had the ocean view room with private swimming pool although shared with the room next door but no one was next door room was clean. Pool was fantastic. The grounds in this hotel are amazing. It just let itself down with a limited menu for breakfast and dinner And unfortunately looked a little messy and untidy. There were a few birds eating off the breakfast spoons and was a little unsettling. Overall staff are fantastic and the area is very close to Saint Gigi Beach if you need to go shopping.
- lyna (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at Rajavilla! The staff is very nice, the room was nice and clean, breakfast was delicious. 10/10 would recommend
- Gaetan (10/5): - We had the best time on our honeymoon. The staff was really lovely throughout.
The property is beautiful if a little tired on the edges. We loved the pool area and spent a lot of time there. It would be great if it had a little more vibe - maybe some Cafe del Mar music and some special events like bbq or pizza nights.
The bedroom was very comfortable with a beautiful ocean view through the trees.
It was a little close to the road so scooter noise was unfortunately higher than the ocean waves at times.
Food and drinks selection was a little limited, but top quality and good value.
We loved our 2-week stay and would definitely book again.
Thank you for making our honeymoon special.
- Rebecca (6/5): Nice pool, needs a refurbishment - I think when it was built it was lovely, now it is a bit tired. There is a really nice pool area - infinity overlooking the ocean. The decking and all around it needs refurbishing. Rooms are ok- good size, clean but a bit dated. Breakfast was ok - large choice, ok quality, only awful coffee / tea in a large urn. Restaurant needs a refurb. It's a walk down the hill into sengiggi beach and you can get a taxi back at a really low cost.
- Salma (10/5): Highly Recommend - The best of the best! Such nice people, amazing mocktails and non-alcoholic beverages, the food was super good. I still can't stop thinking about the bolognese pasta. If you are Muslim, they have a mosque super close and a prayer room too.
- Andre (10/5): - The rooms were very clean, the restaurant and food was very good! And the staff was very polite. A lot of space to relax.
- Aazon (10/5): - Really loved my beachfront stay. Nothing to complain about.
- Erika (6/5): - The rooms were spacious same as bathroom And clean . Hotel is smaller and older . Pool is on the small side . They had a bar but not attractive . Just older Indonesian style . Tiny reception area . The breakfast was very basic -disappointing . No restaurants close by . The walk alongside the road was very busy. loud and not really ideal to walk. We booked 2 nights but decided to move to a better situated place that had decent breakfasts and restaurants on the property . It is just not suited for tourists as there is nothing close by . Can't fault the place for friendliness and cleanliness. For us it was just not ideal. The room rate is cheap so if you don't mind basic accomodation and having tobrent a motorbike to be able to dine out. Then go for it
- Marie (10/5): A lovely peaceful oasis - This hotel is in a beautiful setting with waves crashing in on the beach while you relax in the infinity pool overlooking the beach, very relaxing. Staff were great, very helpful and friendly and ready to engage. Breakfast selection was excellent and delicious. Dinner selection was also good. We visited off season and the hotel was quiet but We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it without hesitation
- Sharyn (10/5): 6 Night Getaway - Peaceful and fabulous. We loved our lagoon rooms with our own pool.
- Christian (10/5): - Everything about the resort is excellent
- Kerryn (10/5): - We have stayed in Sengiggi many times over thirty year period and this is the best accommodation we have stayed in. It was a two minute walk down the hill into town and had an amazing pool overlooking the ocean. It was a pleasant walk down to restaurants on the beach. Highly recommend.
- Fred (4/5): Please see my feedback for improvements - The room I stayed has
- Poor internet connection. The internet TV kept lagging. Forget about watching TV. One of the reasons I decided to upgrade, however both rooms have the same problems.
- All the TV programs need to pay, even the local Indonesian Channels, however the technician managed to come over to resolve. However, only local channels and a few internet channel is available, in the end due to the poor internet connectivity, its as good as not watching (see above comments).
- a faulty electric kettle. There are rust inside the kettle. Seem like no one has used it due to the condition.
- no drinking water provided. I have upgraded the room and the previous room has drinking water provided.
- no shampoo and soap top up. I needed to wait for the room service to provide before I can have my shower.
The pavement lights on the stairways towards the pool area was not well light up. I missed a step going down at night and almost fell. During the day time I see that some of the lights along the steps have exposed wires and faulty.
Service is very good and I slept comfortably.
- Lee (10/5): - The staff are truly amazing,
Rooms latge with a shared pool dor the adjoining room. Which was empty so we had it for your own use. Overlooking the water.
- Vinay (10/5): - Nice staff and a good pool. The rooms are quiet and the beds very comfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): Rajavilla Sangigi - Great stay, staff were friendly and helped with what ever we needed. Would stay again.
- Carlos (10/5): - The property is in a great location with a fabulous Ocean View and only 3 minutes from Senggigi. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to this area.
- Robyn (10/5): - Great location set on a cliff with fantastic views
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great friendly staff.
Only one constructive comment: a clothes horse in each room, to dry bathers after swimming in the pool. Which you can put outside your room is a necessity.
- Margaret (10/5): A true gem in Lombok - The pool, the views, the food, and most importantly the people of Rajavilla were truly amazing. We would return in a heart beat.
- Ian (10/5): really good resort - really nice resort. Not a swimming beach but new that before, and the pool is very good and fantastic views. Breakfast and restaurant very very good.
- Linda (8/5): - Very nice property. We had a private Lagoon room, but found other guests walking onto our patio often, needs signs to say Lagoon guests only , otherwise wonderful stay.. Loved the staff , couldn't do enough for you, lovely breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Best breakfast ever, chocolate pancskes to die for!! Extra little touch for our honeymoon they decorated the bed and each night they brought cookies. Staff really attentive and friendly and room lovely with great shower. Minor point on first night balcony doors rattled in the wind but overall great hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The air conditioning was very poor. Everyday we had to call the technician. No difference.
Cant swim on the beach. Corals and stones.
uphill distance to restaurants
- Balances (10/5): - Exceptional stay. Staff are welcoming and well trained. Facilities are gorgeous and new. Food is sensational. Location is central and easy to walk or ride to all restaurants and tourist facilities on Senggigi beach. The view is magnificent, with sunsets you will not forgot. A truly memorable experience anf would highly recommend to all nationalites and lengths of stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a very beautiful new hotel, nestled next to its own small beach and looking out to scenic views of the sea towards a lighthouse and nearby Bali. The facilities of the hotel are very good with a contemporary design, a lovely and relaxing pool area near the restaurant, a nice spa (the Balinese style massage was very nice and relaxing!) and surrounded by pretty gardens. I think most rooms are facing towards the sea. The hotel staff are friendly, professional and attentive and make you feel very welcome so you can instantly enjoy your holiday. The food in the restaurant is very good.. breakfast was a delicious choice of anything you could want from the menu - from western tastes including muesli, eggs benedict, waffles and pancakes to Indonesian tastes and then served with tropical fruits and a varied bread basket. I can recommend also the delicious Indonesian food in the restaurant for dinner. The room was wonderful - was very lucky to be upgraded to the ocean view suite which was fabulous with large sitting area aside from the nice bed and bathroom and a private terrace with amazing views. The location of the hotel is ideal within walking distance of Senggigi and the beach there along with some shops/restaurants. I would like to say to others please consider to come to Lombok. It is truly a beautiful and relaxing place with amazing beaches and culture, people are so friendly and it is safe to visit again now and I would certainly recommend this hotel as a great choice.
- Faye (8/5): - My experience was horrific due to be caught up in the 7.0 earthquake + over 300 aftershocks while in Lombok. The staff were fantastic during an otherwise terrifying experience. I am only now able to write of my experience after extensive trauma counselling and I am STILL waiting for my refund which I was promised by the hotel for the two nights I cancelled due to needing to get off the island due to it not being safe. There were 2 further large earthquakes in the two days I should have stayed at the hotel. I would appreciate it if someone at Expedia could follow up on this for me? I understand that the 29th of July waws the last date for cancellation but given this was the date of the very first large earthquakes - I believe these to be extenuating circumstances, given we all spent a night sleeping on sun lounger matts in reception in the open due to a fear for our safety of building collapse due to ongoing earthquakes and aftershocks... Many thanks Faye Welborn
