• Patrik (8/5): Good value for money, and great central location on the Walking Market Street and close to the beach - Central location, on the Walking Market Street. Close to the beach. Many restaurants and massage salons to choose from in the area. The AC could have worked better. It didn't have enough power for some reason. But it was enough to at least be able to sleep.

На первом этаже отеля расположен ресторанчик собственника отеля. Можно покушать, можно завтрак заказать прямо в номер. Собственник отеля и персонал очень приятные и отзывчивые люди, если вы умеете быть такими же. Делайте добро и вам обязательно улыбнется удача. Геолокация расположения отеля в Booking.com не совпадает с реальным.

• Dominique (9/5): Excellent location close to beaches and all activity in Kata Beach. - The location was excellent, right in the centre and 5 to 10mn walk from Kata Beach, 15mn from Karon Beach. The landlords were very nice and helpful. It was in the middle of the Kata walking night market and very lively. Some rooms can be a bit noisy with the water pump.

• Maja (10/5): - I couldn’t recommend more this place. Great location. Right at the middle of everything you need but still quiet. The bed was soooo comfortable. One of the most comfortable ones we slept on. Air condition was great. Water pressure was great as well. Super clean and you get 2 bottles of water each day. Service is wonderful. Girls are lovely. Specially Ma 🍀. WiFi was good. I was reading previously before booking this place and they were few complaints about WiFi what I would advise to ignore as they probably didn’t log in at the right one. We realised that second day. They have 5g Wifi that is better. They cook a lovely food. I couldn’t recommend more banana pancakes ☺️ Thank you for a lovely stay. We will come back.

A la limite la proximité du marché de nuit (mais tellement déçue que c'est complique de trouver du positif) Un véritable taudis, personnel pas aimable, aucune aide pour monter les valises dans les escaliers hyper raide et dangereux . La chambre est dégueulasse, pas de tasses ni cafe/thé. Sale de bain insalubre (j'ai manqué tomber en sortant de la baignoire sur le sol et leur tapis dégueulasse glissant) Literie bof bof mais disons que pour une nuit ou deux ca allait mais le summum !!!!! NOUS SOMMES REPARTIES AVEC DES PUNAISES DE LIT. Je ne comprends même pas que booking puisse etre aussi laxiste sur les établissements qu'il représente !! • ALAN (8/5): Great location, will come again. - Double rooms with balcony are at the back of the property and are very quiet despite the bustle of the night markets just outside your door. The rooms are basic but perfectly adequate and the beds were extra comfy. Brilliant budget accommodation right in the centre of the Kata action, with the advantage of being at the north end so you can walk to the beach relatively easily without having to do a giant lap around Club Med. If you hire a bike there is ample parking available nearby. A+ If anything it could do with a lick of paint, but that didn't bother me.

• Bahram (10/5): Comfortable no frill stay in the heart of Phuket , 10 mins walk to the beach. - Location location location. Right bang in the middle of the night market and restaurants and bars. 10 mins walk to the beach. Laundry next door to the hotel. You couldn’t ask for more convenient location. The lady and her daughter who were running the hotel could not be sweeter or more helpful. Worked nonstop. Aircon was fantastic. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Lots of hot water and very good pressure. Very quiet after 11pm. No noise at all from the market to disrupt your sleep. Rooms had all mod cons needed during your stay including a safe, fridge, kettle and tv. I would very happily stay there again. Ok now this part…..!!!! The hotel has obviously seen better days and desperately needs an upgrade. The hotel is up for sale and I think the proprietor is not up to doing the repairs as he wishes to sell on and retire( and I wish him all the best for his future plans) From rotten door frames, some walls in need of a lock of paint, old toilet seats etc etc all could do with an up grade BUT none of it effected my stay in the hotel. As I said everything that should work for a comfortable stay worked. It’s a cheap and cheerful hotel in the heart of Phuket.

• Priscilla (1/5): Terrible experience - The location Before booking, we asked the owner about the check-in, since we had a late-arriving flight. He said he would book a taxi for us from the airport for an extra cost , and that this would be no problem. Two days before, I contacted the property through booking and through WhatsApp, no response. The day we were supposed to arrive they denied us our check-in time and responded, in a broken English: “don’t understand, clarify “. Luckily we had a friend who was already in Phuket and reluctantly they gave her the keys, otherwise we would have spent the night outside. The entrance , during the day, is through a decadent and dirty restaurant, and at night through a disturbingly disgusting alley where rats were our receptionists. When we finally saw the owner he was extremely rude and blamed everything on us.

• Marion (9/5): Would recommend any day - We actually stayed at another place that they work with called “flowernight guesthouse” it was very clean. The owner speaks good English and is lovely. The room had all necessary facilities and when our fan blew up they replaced it immediately. Location is great and in the middle of the night market although it is not very noisy. The balcony is very good. No water provided with the room.

Great location close to food market, short walk to Kata & Karon beach (where surfboard hire is available). Large room, everything working including aircon, shower, refrigerator. Spacious room. The staff are not Thai. (This only matters to me because I am trying to learn Thai. However this is common on the whole West Coast of Thailand, that about 70% of hotel staff, are from Myanmar.
• Levent (1/5): Disappointed by Missing Bath Plug and No Compensation - I liked that the hotel was not far from the beaches and centrally located. I could also park my motorbike nearby, which was very convenient. Additionally, towels for the beach were available, which was a nice touch. I stayed at the hotel mainly because of the bathtub. However, the bathtub didn't have a plug, so I couldn't take a full bath, and the hotel owner had no solution for this. I had even paid extra for the room because rooms with bathtubs are generally more expensive. He offered me either a discount or the option to change hotels. Since he made an effort and was accommodating, I decided to stay. But when I later asked about the discount, I didn't receive it. The hotel owner told me I could file a complaint with Booking. I found that unfair and unacceptable.

• Tudorel (2/5): Very poor - The location of the hotel is just in the middle of night life of Kata beach with all the pros and cons. You are near the food market shops and local street food. The hotel was an attraction for tourist in the last decades but now is an old building with the water on the tap smelling like unclean rotten pipes. You cannot take a shower or wash face.

• Kerry (5/5): Basic place to crash in busy Kata - The room itself was clean enough and we had plenty of space. We had to wait almost 30 minutes to be checked in by a very rude lady (although to be fair to her, she seemed to be chef, waitress and check in staff!). The restaurant serves as the check in area and its dark, dated and unwelcoming. I'm really not sure how it rates so highly! Not a place this family would return.

It is ten minutes walk to kata and Karon beaches there are shops and markets right next to guest house a really good location. If you want bars they are only a couple of minutes away. The staff and owner are really friendly. This is a great little guest house I would stay here again and would recommend it. Nothing
• David (8/5): Excellent position / great value - Room is very large, with wardrobe, desk, mirror, table and chairs - so is very practical and actually a nice large space. Food /breakfast is very good quality/value. Location is superb… in middle of Kata Walking /night market - yet very little noise is heard! Perfect! Action is metres away, but not intrusive. Only a 5 minute walk to Kata beach or 15 min walk up other end of beach for a surf. Metres from main road/bus route/bolt. The pool table looks a bit tired - but plays beautifully straight!! Had some great games!! It is a low-key but very large and practical room. We would happily stay here agian! The property is a bit dated - but, honestly, it does not affect anything. Just good to be aware of, that’s all - don’t expect 5 star - as you are not paying 5 star prices. But you get great room, great location, great value!

• Peter (5/5): Passable - Great location, close to beach and some great street food / night markets. Reasonably priced. Aircon in rooms. Clean. Lots of mosquitos, I know it's not always avoidable, but could maybe make more effort to deter them from the bedrooms and bathrooms. We were waking up with lots of bites each morning. The owner seemed like a friendly man initially on our arrival, very welcoming and chatty. The next morning, I was cleaning some pieces of toilet paper that had fallen on the bathroom floor. I then accidentally threw the wet tissue into the toilet bowl (force of habit). The owner walked past and angrily starting telling us you don’t put tissue down the toilet, getting irate whilst explaining it blocks the drain. I immediately started to apologise. He then told me to get it out (as it was on the inside wall of the toilet pan) which I did. Despite apologising and removing the tissue from inside the toilet with my bare hand, he began making patronising comments, sarcastically asking if I could read English, referring to a sign on the wall to not put tissue down the toilet. He then turned to my girlfriend and repeated this comment to her before shaking his head and walking off. Later on that day he came over saying ‘he didn’t mean to be rude’ and continued explaining the plumbing in Thailand. I apologised again and said I understood, but he then continued to make more rude comments ‘it’s a big red sign’, ‘you have to pay attention’. I understand I was in the wrong, however I did not expect to be spoken too in this way. This unfortunately made the stay uncomfortable from then on.

All the meals we had here were excellent. The friendly staff made us feel at home. The location is excellent for the price. We had a 10-15 minute easy walk to Kata Beach.

• Ladislav (7/5): Great value for what you pay unless you go along with small deficiencies. - This guesthouse is good value for what you pay. Our room was at the top floor with no lift and steep steps so just be prepared if you have problematic knees. Owner Terje is a very nice host which not applies to all staff working for him. A little bit warmer smile from older woman and young girls working at reception and in restaurant would definitely do the trick. Guesthouse has its best behind and a little polishing would help but if you are OK and not rely on details, you would love this place for its value for the budget you pay. Hairs on the floor, a little worn out bedding and paint. Female staff not really welcoming.

We also ate dinner here every night as it was good value for money and tasty. Good location, walking distance to beaches and markets. Lady in reception was helpful. In a busy area so you can hear music from bars nearby until 11pm - midnight. However it wasn’t too loud to keep us up.

Unfortunately we have food allergies but were able to purchase American breakfast for 50THB which is an excellent price. The location is close to everything you need and for the location we were surprised how quiet it was. The owner and all staff were lovely and very friendly which made for an enjoyable stay. The owner also graciously gave us a ride to our next booking as it was raining. So kind and very much appreciated. Thank You! :) We booked the budget room with a shared bathroom. Small room and not renovated, but with a very large bed which was a bit hard and uncomfortable for us including the pillows which were not so comfortable. But for the budget price in this area, which is located walking distance to everything you need it was sufficient for our needs. Did not enjoy the dripping outside on the metal from the air-conditioner from the room above and from the rain drops which was a bit noisy.

Good prices for really delicious foods (cheaper, cleaner and more great then food than the night walking market beside). Free good breakfast. Spacious room, good light, big window with excelent view. Soft bed, mini fridge with 2 new bottle per day, clean room and replace bed sheet +towel everyday, big television with hundred chanels. Some games on ground: bia, chess...

The restaurant has a nice quality, the staff is always willing to help, as well as the owner. I with yours, towels and mats for the beach, motorbike, directions, anything. Plus I love the pool table, even though I'm bad haha Is a bit scary getting in at nights, since the door to enter the hotel after 10pm is on an ally, however... this is Thailand, I got used to it after a few days. The area is super safe.

The staff was really excellent, outgoing and helpful. They did everything I requested, and immediately took care of any issues I had. There was nothing I did not like. As I was alone, I am very easy to take care, of so this was excellent for me.

This is my second time staying here. The owner is very kind. It is close to the main road and bus stop for Phuket Smart bus( only 3 mins walk). Would come back here again.

The Norwegian owner(Mr.Terje) was kind to upgrade our room to bigger one with functional TV.During our stay was very quiet due to COVID, therefore the room rate was quite low (250 THB- budget room with breakfast included), but we feel thanks enough, we rejected our breakfast as we already got room upgrade, It's really valuable price.

• P4026JVjohnh (10/5): Great visit and great host - recommended! - Visited for breakfast and lunch on our final day in Kata, and wish we had found this place sooner! Whilst we stayed at another hotel, we couldn't help but be impressed with the breakfast offer and also the fantastic lunch we came back for later that day. Very friendly establishment where were made to feel at home by the kind Norwegian owner even with our very young two kids. In addition, checking their official website, the advice given to visitors to Kata is excellent; 800 Baht for a Taxi to the airport is indeed the correct rate (the friendly agent with a small stall next to the Spiderman bar alley nearby always gave the best price for a taxi and for the island tours). Big thumbs up for Southern Fried Rice and the friendly Norwegian owner whom it was a pleasure to meet.
• ovemcom (10/5): A guesthouse with a low price and a high qvality. - Very near to the places you need in Kata, like shops bars, beach, and also if you like to go to the south end of Karon with the centra of shops and restaurants it is just a normal promenad, and the same with the beach in south end of Karon.
• christofferh179 (2/5): Good location, clean rooms, unacceptably bad service - I stayed with my friend in Southern Fried Rice for six nights. We chose the hotel based on the good rating and reviews. The location is very good, as you can easily walk to the beaches: both Kata and Karon. Also the rooms were clean, which is always important. Unfortunately the service is not what it should be… They had lost our check-in papers; they did not know if we had paid for a restaurant bill or not, and so on and so on: we did not really feel that we were welcomed as guests at any time of our stay. It seems that communication between the staff and manager does not work well. I think the problem is with the manager: it was not possible to discuss without he being tense and aggressive. At check-out, we were surprised by an additional fee for paying by credit card. I have travelled a lot (>250 days per year) and this kind of fee is nothing strange, but normally it is mentioned in written when doing the booking. When we asked where it is mentioned in the confirmation, the manager seemed to even get angry at us, which surprised us really a lot, because we asked this simply because we wanted to know, and the question was in our opinion adequate. Unfortunately I do not recommend this guesthouse due to the above mentioned reasons"

Walked 2km to pad thai shop because we Read it would be the best pad thai there,but disappointed to the greasiness. Tonight best pad thai here. Very Good massaman curry aswell. Good prices, cheap beer. Nice pooltable
• whosya (8/5): Friendly staff, good food - Staff: 5/5, ambience:4 , food:4 Jok: lovely stock, lots of ginger. Whole fish with three sauce: delicious and beautifully cooked (5/5). Pad Thai:nice sauce, not big on ingredients though. Coffee: average. Service a little bit slow... But owner's stories helped pass the time.
• A9100QOmichellek (10/5): Amazing food and hospitality - We stayed a few nights, close to everything, amazing food, clean rooms. Our hosts made sure we had a fabulous stay and nothing was too much trouble. They even opened the kitchen early so we could eat before our long day trip.
