• Christophe (4/5): Pas de soin dans l'accueil - Grande chambre, propre, localisation centrale, le premier soir un employé du restaurant m'a expliqué le fonctionnement de l'hôtel. Le petite déjeuner était très décevant, pas de personnel du tout pour aider. Le premier matin, il y avait du pain, mais pas de couteau à pain, le deuxième matin le pain et toute la boulangerie avec le parfum de brûlé. Beaucoup de bruits de circulation d'eau et de machines. A l'accueil, on vous annonce les 150.- d'amende si vous fumez dans la chambre ou si vous avez un problème de clé.

• Eliane (8/5): Un hôtel idéalement situé! - - La situation de l'hôtel est centrale et idéale, proche des principaux points d'attraction et des musées. Il est entouré de restaurants et de shopping. Le quartier est très agréable, à deux pas de la Limmat et du Lac. - Une chambre spacieuse, propre et moderne - Pas d'accueil ce samedi à partir de 15h30 , il fallait récupérer les clés dans une keybox C'était un peu stressant mais tout s'est finalement bien passé. - Pas d'ascenseur pour ceux qui ont de grosses valises

The room was immaculately clean, the beds were really comfortable and there was water and tea/coffee in the room. The street noise is very loud in the room - multiple rubbish bins, church bells, people on the street so best to bring ear plugs.

No hay recepcionista a partir de las 20 horas y si has olvidado tu llave, te abren la puerta (seguridad que llamas por teléfono) pero pagas una multa de 150 Francos.

• Barbara (8/5): Pas mal - L’emplacement idéal à deux pas du lac et de la vielle ville Petit détail mais les rideaux occultant laissaient passer la lumière du jour quand on est dans le lit, donc réveillé au première lueur du jour ainsi que la lumière des couloirs passent sous la porte de chambre. Pour un séjour de plus de deux nuits manquerait une commode dans la chambre pour mettre nos habits et sous vêtements.

Camera adeguata e confortevole, con buon livello generale di pulizia. Wifi veloce e affidabile. Colazione buona, con scelta sufficiente anche se non particolarmente ricca. Molto piacevole anche la tematizzazione dell’hotel, che rende l’ambiente originale e accogliente. Rapporto qualità/prezzo buono, soprattutto considerando gli standard elevati dei prezzi a Zurigo. Servizi piuttosto essenziali e assenza di veri spazi comuni. Presente un ristorante collegato alla struttura, ma con prezzi che ci sono sembrati un po’ sopra la media zurighese per la tipologia proposta, tanto da preferire altre soluzioni in città.

Frühstück war ok und im Preis inbegriffen. Man sollte keinen Luxus erwarten, aber auf Grund der Lage und Sauberkeit des Zimmers, können wir das Hotel California bedenkenlos empfehlen.

There were some works going on but I’ve been notified about that so that’s no big problem

• Ana María (7/5): Aceptable - El hotel se encuentra en el centro. Tienes que subir escaleras hasta recepción, hablan español. La llave cuando sales la tienes que dejar y coger la que abre la entrada. Hacía bastante calor en la habitación aunque dejáramos la ventana abierta todo el día. Incluso dormimos con la ventana abierta en marzo. No sabíamos porqué hacía tanta calor. Las chicas y que trabajan allí muy amables y simpáticas, pudimos entrar antes a la habitación el día del check in. El desayuno buffet es inexistente. Ponen bollitos de pan, un pan entero para que tú lo partas, huevos revueltos, salchichas, zumo, salami y queso. Había mantequilla también. El primer día no había máquina de café, el segundo si. Eran 3 mesitas con las cosas. No había tostadora para el pan…

Kahvaltisi biraz daha zengin olabilirdi.Elestiri olarak sadece bunu söyleyebilirim.

The rooms were enough to accomodate two people. Breakfast was definitely not good. Not too many options, no fresh vegetables, one kind of cheese in a cheese country was disapponting. I dont recommend including the breakfast when booking the hotel.
• Wilma Nancy (7/5): Short but sweet! - We loved the theme and the Old Town location, as well as the staff who were welcoming and super helpful. A new lift was being fitted so a bit noisy in the morning. This couldn’t be helped and the staff were apologetic.
