Strongly recommend to book in the restaurant in the eveing. Thank you so much ! Staff was a bit rude and/or strict sometimes. It would have been great to tell us a bit more about the rules in advance, so that we know them and don't cross them unknowingly.

- Sharmaine (10/5): Perfect Location to see the Puffins - The location is lovely. The owners are welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. Having a lounge area was also nice as it allowed me to sleep in while my partner lounged reading with a cup of coffee.
- Jane (9/5): A wonderful country inn. - A beautiful inn on an exquisite piece of property with wonderful hospitality. The room was amazing. The bed was a little soft but others might prefer this. The timing of meals was a little strict for my liking.
- Cat (10/5): An Amazing Place :) - This place was amazing! The hosts are lovely, the breakfast was incredible and the inn was beautiful. It's right by the water, it was only a few minutes walk down to the coastline where I could sit on the rocks and watch the waves. The surrounding areas are lovely too, it's a really nice base to explore some of the Irish Loop. Really recommend this place!
- Aditi (10/5): Truly exceptional! - We had a very enjoyable stay. The property is charming and beautifully decorated. The rooms have a fantastic view of the ocean to wake up to. Breakfast each morning was delicious, unfortunately we couldn't make it to dinner. Pablo and Paula are very sweet and friendly. We had a great time chatting with them and their recommendations were excellent. We can't wait to return! There was nothing to dislike.
- Denise (10/5): - Fantastic location with great views and a walking loop on the door. Welcome and service provided by Paula & Pablo was superb.
The evening meal was as good if not better than the Michelin starred restaurants we experienced. The breakfast is so good (and this is unheard of) my husband didn’t use ketchup!!
Accommodation was delightful, very clean and spacious. Overall an excellent visit, thank you.
- Shedden (10/5): For relaxation, cultural fusion, panoramic ocean views and fine dining - this place has it all. - The Inn has a retreat feeling in every way. The reading material, art, decor, food and decor could keep one engaged for days. Great attention to detail and guests needs.
- Chantal (10/5): - Tout était plus que parfait! La localisation, la magnifique demeure, nos hôtes Paula et Pablo qui nous ont concocté d’incroyables repas. Je recommande !!
- Ben (10/5): Quiet getaway 40 minutes from St. John's with incredible food. - My partner and I had an absolutely incredible stay here! We wanted to stay outside of St. John's to visit Mistaken Point and other spots along the Irish Loop and came across this lovely B&B. It was easy to get to - only about 45 minutes from the airport. We stayed in the spacious and charming jacuzzi suite. The view of the ocean from our room was stunning. The food was perfect - homemade with so much care. We booked dinner as well and for $60 (+tax & tip) we were treated to 6 delicious courses. It is one of the best meals we've had in ages! We still talk about the squid cooked in its own ink. Meals are served family style and we enjoyed chatting with other travelers at the large dining table. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We cannot recommend B&C Inn enough! Only that we wished we stayed for longer!
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haley (10/5): - Beautiful property, the stay itself and the area around the property were the highlight of our trip! We will be back!
- Norma (10/5): - A wonderful property with wonderful hosts meant a wonderful stay. This place exceeds all expectations. Everything is prepared for your stay with care and efficiency. Try to stay longer than one night.
- Ades (10/5): Exceptional - The location had exceptional views and close to our whale and puffin tour and the Irish Loop. The owners were professional cooks for our breakfast and dinner. The attention to detail in the food was 5 star. Nothing to comment on.
- Rogers (10/5): We loved it and would absolutely stay again. - Excellent cooked to order breakfast. Pablo and Paula were friendly and helpful, offered ideas for exploring the neighborhood and who to speak to for our purpose.
- Tanya (10/5): Gorgeous home in Bay Bulls with very welcoming hosts - The house was gorgeous. Large, airy, comfortable rooms perched right over the ocean. There were choices given for breakfast and they were all delicious. Hosts use a lot of fresh ingredients. Nothing
- Phyllis (10/5): Wonderful ocean view - Loved the location! Close to St. John's. And the ocean view was spectacular. Loved the breakfast too. Room was comfortable and spacious enough for us. Luckily the other guests were considerate, but we could hear every door close.
- Barrie (10/5): Perfect location for a few days in St John’s area. - Smart wooden inn with wonderful bedroom views across deep sea cove. Spacious grounds with easy car parking.
Lovely hosts with interesting stories about local history. Great one-course breakfast. Nothing.
- Terry (9/5): Superb -
- Claude (10/5): Top of the Line Stay. - Overlooking Bay Bulls, quiet, serene and picturesque. The inn is very well kept, clean and comfortable. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant was at the inn provided meals prepared by chef Pablo entertained our paletttes. Nothing
- Terri (9/5): Superb -
- William (10/5): A picturesque beauty of an inn - Beautiful setting, clean room, comfy beds, Paula was amazing! Loved the eggs Benedict breakfast!
- Gerald (10/5): Charming comfort for our last two days in Newfoundland. - The setting, the building, the elegant room, the breakfasts, and Paula and Pablo, our hosts. We enjoyed our one breakfast immensely and met two other very nice couples. We had to leave very early our second morning to get to the airport, but Paula made sure we had some homemade baked goods ready for our early departure. Even though we were 47 km from the airport, we had a very pleasant and easy drive to get there in just over a half hour. Nothing for us at all. All was good.
- Andrea (10/5): We were very pleased. - Breakfast choices were varied and delicious! The special three course bistro dinner was exceptional! The shower could have been bigger. We would highly recommend The Bread and Cheese Inn as a wonderful place to stay when visiting Bay Bulls or St. John’s or the Irish Loop.
- Mona (10/5): - Wonderful hosts.. excellent breakfasts.. wonderful dinner (prebooked)
- Deleveaux (6/5): It was comfortable and well located - The location was great. The views are fantastic on a clear day. The place needs to be sound proof. The floors creek. Every sound is reverberated; beit a drop of a spoon, a child talking or the next door patrón snooring.
The dining hall is on the first floor (restaurant) and it is noise noon stop until after supper is complete.
They could be a little more flexible with the breakfast menú.
- Amanda (10/5): - A beautiful home, on a beautiful property with incredible hosts.
- Cathy (10/5): Lovely hosts and views - The food and hospitality are second to none! Get the three course dinner, totally worth it, and hope some locals join you. Views from the upstairs corner bedroom and the property are amazing. Perfect spot for exploring the Irish loop.
- Karolina (10/5): Peaceful and delicious. - Excellent location, quiet, relaxing, and comfortable
- Jennifer (10/5): Comfortable and hospitable. - The view was amazing! Very nostalgic. I wish I would have known about dinner options that were available cause I would have booked ahead of time if I had known. It smelled so yummy when we arrived. Also the directions on Google maps was not accurate and took us to a different location.
- Mulloy (10/5): Welcoming, warm, delicious-wanted to stay longer. - Pablo and Paula are wonderful. Not only can she bake and he cook, but they are both well educated, well travelled and truly interested in their guests. Their home is beautifully situated in a park like setting fronted by steep cliffs overlooking the bay and the Atlantic. It's close to both excellent hiking trails and the town of Bay Bulls. This was far and away the highlight of our 3 week trip around Newfoundland.
- Della (10/5): Exceptionally beautiful inn with views, hot breakfast and comfy bed! - Exceptional inn over looking the water. Near St John's but definitely in the villages. Excellent hot breakfast menu included. Rooms with a view. Beautiful spot that we'd definitely return to and recommend to friends and family. n/a
- Mark (10/5): Glad we went to Bay Bulls and stayed at Bread and Cheese. - Beautiful house with amazing sea views. Best breakfast choices we had during our two weeks in Newfoundland/Labrador. Friendly and attentive owners. Having only one night there.
- PATRICIA (10/5): - Everything is perfect. The hosts are beautiful people. Couldn’t ask for any better
- Samuel (10/5): Don’t pass by this beautiful place to stay. - The new owners were wonderful to talk with and had created a beautiful place to stay in a quiet Newfoundland cove. The room was clean and comfortable with an impressive view. A highlight of our visit was the delicious dinner prepared by the chef owner, Pablo, and his wife Paula. Great coffee and breakfast the next morning. We understand they are just beginning this adventure after recently moving to Bay Bulls. I certainly expect them to be very successful with a wonderful attention to details in the house and their meals. Nothing.
