Guest Reviews
- Vicky (10/5): - Lovely quiet lodge with beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Lovely friendly staff and great food.
- Mike (10/5): - Excellent stay. The staff were very helpful and encouraging. Food was really good.
- Theresa (10/5): - Brubru Lodge is amazing. The rooms are beautiful, the pool and garden is so clean and pretty. We had an amazing stay. Breakfast was delicious and we had dinner one day there it was really good as well. Its possible to get a transfer to the airport but it was quite expensive (70 dollar). To the main centre of moshi it takes you 25minutes by feet. It’s a perfect place to relax.
- Ian (10/5): - They have recently renovated to offer an excellent experience and standard
- Rajat (10/5): - Great lodge. Clean and great food options. Loved the room!
- Kelly (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at this hotel for 2 days. We were 4 adults with 2 rooms and thwy were both beautiful!!! The hotel is so beautifully decorated and thw grounds are stunning. The staff were so friendlu and helpful. David and joanni at thw front desk were phenomenal. They even gave us a box breakfast early morning before our taxi to the airport which was delicious, as the breakfast had not started yet. It was delicious and we were so grateful! They areanges airport transfer, which was perfect and punctual. The restaurant was lovely and the food delicious! The waiter was so friendly and attentive. The pool area was beautiful and sunsets stunning! We onky wish we could have atayes longer. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Thank you all for an incredible stay!
- Karlene (10/5): - Amazing service, beautiful property and pool, and the restaurant on site is delicious!
- Liam (8/5): - Stopped at this lodge of Altezza's and the other one they have in Moshi. I would definitely recommend this lodge if you are travelling for business/ want a quite trip away.
However the other lodge has a bit more atmosphere and spirit as it has more walkers who have gone up or going up Kilimanjaro.
Although this lodge is a walk away from the centre of Moshi where most of the locals head at night. Maybe not the safest place, but definitely an experience.
The BBQ steak from this lodge is amazing, the chef was so helpful and went the extra mile to accommodate for our needs. The staff were also very helpful and made us feel welcomed.
Overall, if you are looking for peace and quiet after a hike up Kilimanjaro this is the place to stay, staff were great and accommodating.
- Francois (10/5): - I enjoyed the friendly helpful staff, the quiet but convenient location of the property, the nice garden and pool where I could relax, and the clean relaxed atmosphere at the property. The wifi was also reliable and the breakfast good!
Thanks to Jackline, Praygod, Abeli, Beatrice, Alrili and the rest of the staff for an enjoyable stay.
- jennifer (10/5): comfortable - i only got to stay one of my 2 nights booked. but, it was very pleasant. i was promptly met at the airport and shuttled to the hotel. the check in was easy and was in my room in no time. after flying 30+ hours this was very important to me. the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. i was not too hungry due to jet lag, but the meals other diners had looked quite nice. i did have a bowl of super that was very tasty.
- Sarah (8/5): - Un accueil excellent !
- Angel (10/5): - 100% the staff made my stay that much more special. The hotel could have been a box, but with the staff i still would have felt like I'm at a 5 star resort. They are all so friendly and accommodating and make you feel like family.
- Adriana (10/5): - Everyone here is so nice and the property is beautiful.
- Meaghan (10/5): Great service, comfortable stay! - We had a great stay at the Altezza lodge while in Moshi! The staff was so friendly, good dinner, reliable WiFi in the rooms. They even packed us fruit to go when we left for the airport at 4am! Great, comfortable place to stay if you want to be around the Kilimanjaro area!
- Judy (10/5): - It was clean and the staff were very helpful. We stayed prior to trekking Kilimanjaro and a super place to chill. Quick walk downtown and beautiful neighbourhood
- Peter (10/5): Great staff, clean, good facilities and location. - Spent 2 days here after climbing kilimanjaro. Was perfect place to relax and the staff were very attentive. Good location, close to moshi centre.
- Canada (8/5): - Stayed a total of 3 nights over two stays. Nice quiet location located about a 20 min walk to town. Good food and staff were very attentive and helpful during our stay.
- antonio (10/5): - Great place to rest after a long Safari
Friendly staff good breakfast and dinner
Nice swimming pool
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quiet location, attentive staff, good breakfast. Would recommend the Altezza Lodge.
- Anthony (10/5): - I would highly recommend staying at Altezza Lodge. The staff are incredibly friendly and really made the stay enjoyable. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable, and the air conditioning was greatly appreciated. The surrounding area is beautiful and I wish I had time to take advantage of the pool. There's an restaurant on site, which is super convenient. The food was delicious and the breakfast was hearty.
I could not have asked for a better stay and would happily stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great service - The service here is five stars, they really took care of us. The amenities are basic.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good place to rest before / after your trek - Very nice and clean room in Moshi, good value for money and good location near some good restaurants. I only stayed for a short night before departing early morning for a Kili trek, but everything was above expectations. Breakfast was a bit poor but there are nice cafeterias in town to make up for it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - nothing unique very basic pictures deceiving.pool was 5 meters by10 kids pool
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I would have given full stars if we hadn’t been given a room and a few hours later asked to move. We had unpacked and had things all over, because someone else had booked it, even though we had booked too. Other than that the food, staff especially the young man, nothing was too much trouble.
- farfromhome (6/5): - I have stayed at this property many times in the past, but it has been nearly a year since my last stay. A lot changed in that year. First the wifi was not connected to the internet for the entire long weekend I stayed there. Second it is common in Tanzania for the power to go out during the day. In the past this hotel has run a generator and it has not been a problem. This time the power was out for a whole day but the only thing the generator seemed to be running was the lobby area. I lost a half day of work once my laptop battery went dead. They had problems with the hot water in my original suite room, but they did switch me to another room with hot water working.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent Value for money and in great neighborhood
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was excellent- management was good. Breakfast well done
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our room was bigger than expected. Windows everywhere and a very cold AC absolutely needed in Moshi. Great value for the money!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice quiet location - Nice quiet location on the edge of town, perfect for a couple of nights stay to acclimatise before heading off on safari
- Thor Haakon (10/5): - Good service, nice and clean rooms with AC, good food! Better than other hotels I have stayed in in Moshi.
- Bill (10/5): - Comfortable location for pre-Kilimanjaro trek. Shout out to Elka fro being so friendly and helpful.
- Oliver (10/5): Lovely Hotel - This is a small, friendly and welcoming hotel/lodge located towards the west side of Moshi, making it easier to reach from Kilimanjaro airport, which is around 45 minutes taxi ride away. The hotel helpfully arranged a transfer (airport pick-up) for $40 USD and the driver was waiting for me outside Arrivals and his vehicle was modern and comfortable.
The lady on reception was welcoming and speaks good English. The hotel also offers free luggage storage if you’re heading off on Safari or to climb Kilimanjaro. The Wi-Fi was prettt good for Africa. Breakfast was included in my room-rate and consisted of cereal, tea/coffee and a freshly cooked breakfast. Be warned this does take about 30min to be served, so get down early and place your order if you have an early start. The menu has a good selection with most dishes around $9 and a similar 30min cooking time, so place your order and then go shower is my advice. Food is fairly tasty and a safe option.
Both of the rooms I stayed in were very clean and well furnished. The beds are nice and comfortable with soft white sheets and free bottled water is provided, along with a kettle and tea/coffee. All rooms have Air-Con. The bathroom was fine with a working shower and decent toilet. After all most guest staying here just want a nice shower and decent night sleep!
Overall a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay here again!
- Steven (10/5): always enjoy staying at Altezza Lodge. - This hotel is within walking distance of several nice restaurants like Kitchen Flavor and Mimosa, it has good wifi, the staff are very nice and helpful, rooms are comfortable and very clean. It is also far enough away from town to be quiet and peaceful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet but close to the city- great place - Great place! Clean, great service and quite. Breakfast choices were limited but we learned to ask for what we wanted and they tried hard to accommodate. I would recommend a stay here and I would happily stay again! The garden is beautiful and immaculately kept.
- Steve (10/5): excellent choice for quiet - Quiet small hotel where you are a priority. Fantastic wifi. Trouble at times keeping up the power generation with Tanzania's all day power outages but they do better than many upscale hotels. Food at restaurant is ok, suggest walking into town for most meals as there are excellent restuarants cheaper. But everything else about this hotel is great. I like to walk so it is a little outside the hustle and bustle of the downtown.
- Jackie (8/5): Great Little Place - Great little place with friendly staff and HUGE rooms with a great jacuzzi bath
