• Andreas (5/5): Needs improvement, I was a bit disappointed. The host was great. - The host is really very nice and will try and accommodate your needs. He cares. Room was not as expected. No garden view really... Lighting in the room is not very good, also some blue lightbulbs (shouldn't be part of a boutique hotel) No nightstand lights, I asked for one from the host, he gave me one but the light again was blue. I didn't want to mention it again. Room decor can be improved, an addition of a floor lamp, making sure the lights are the same colour (they are the same price...) The hotel room is supposed to be a boutique hotel, felt more like an inn. The breakfast has no variety and the one meal I had was nothing special. I feel bad for writing this, because the host was very friendly, but I came from far away and was disappointed (can't get my holiday back) so I wanted to warn others.

Cada mañana Em te sirve un delicioso desayuno vietnamita. También cada día 2 botellas de agua. Absolutamente recomendable. Quizás una pequeña nevera.

• Lulu (10/5): A special place runned by a special person - We would strongly recommend Neighbor Phuton Hotel for a number of reasons. It's very well located and at walking distance from the grand palace, and other historic places. Moreover the hotel was the object of a smart renovation that makes it very comfortable while at the same time it maintains the charme of old times. What made our staying unique has been by far the kindness of Em, that owns and manage the hotel. He is very professional and familiar at the same time, always available to meet our wishes, always interested in what we have been doing and if we were ok, not to talk of the special thai breakfast we tasted in the morning. We left with the hope to come back and if so, for sure we'll stay at Em's hotel.

До королевского дворца можно дойти пешком, как и до большинства самых интересных мест в центре Бангкока. Отель вполне соответствовал тому, что было заявлено в описании и на фотографиях. Очень понравился внутренний дворик с огромным количеством всевозможных растений. Великолепный завтрак, приготовленный с любовью, состоящий из традиционных тайских блюд. Даже подаётся на банановых листьях и выглядит красиво. Молодой человек за стойкой регистрации был очень вежливым. Рассказал и показал на карте, где и что можно посмотреть. К тому же он говорил на очень хорошем английском. (В Таиланде многих людей трудно понять из-за специфического произношения). В целом это отличный отель, и мы бы вернулись сюда вновь! Деревянные потолки, через которые хорошо слышны все шаги наверху. Но это старинное здание с красивой аутентичной атмосферой, и с этим нужно мириться.

The breakfast was a traditional Thai breakfast which was delicious. The coffee was fabulous, the bed and room comfortable, and the staff welcoming, kind, and helpful. It was a wonderful hotel made even more spécial in that it is actually a historic place. I loved my stay and would definitely stay here again. Nothing !
• Eva (10/5): Gerne wieder! - Ein nettes kleines Hotel in dem man sich wohl fühlt. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch gute Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants. Zimmer waren sehr sauber und alles da was man benötigt. Für viele Ausflüge sehr gute Lage. Wir haben viel Grab benutzt, das hat wunderbar funktioniert. Es gibt kein Frühstücksbuffett, nur thailändisches Frühstück. Allerdings jeden Tag etwas anderes.

• Badgersniff (9/5): Lovely boutique hotel, in quiet area, close to local amenities and attractions. Excellent staff. - We found this boutique hotel to be ideal for our two night stay in Bangkok. It's situated in a quiet area within walking distance of local cafes, shops and restaurants. Additionally the key attractions were just a 20 minute walk away. It was clean, everything worked and 'Bing' in particular, the member of staff who was there all the time for us was, brilliant. He provided advice and recommendations and was so helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was traditional Thai and was exactly the 'local' feel we wanted. We would totally recommend this lovely little hotel. Nothing.

Notre chambre aurait besoin d’un gros rafraîchissement, très limite de louer dans cet état même si le lieu est charmant. Petit déjeuner traditionnel très bon. Nous avons pu avoir notre chambre à midi, très appréciable. Matelas correct. Petit déjeuner servi trop tard, 8h État de la chambre mais si vous n’êtes pas regardant pas de soucis. Rideau de douche trop petit.

He helped with directions, suggestions for transportation. He is the best of Neighbor Phuthon! Breakfast was very good every day. We arrived to a “Closed” sign on the front door. The whole place needs a good clean. Outside needs to be pressure washed and cleaned up, same for winding way/hallways to rooms. There was peeling paint on the ceilings, all over - paint needs to be refreshed.
• Davide (8/5): Good location but the property needs improvements - The property is in a great position to explore Bangkok, full of good restaurants and interesting places. The building is an heritage one, so it has its charme. The staff is very helpful and available. I really enjoyed the simple but authentic breakfast. It is not really a boutique hotel so it did not meet the expectations as it misses all the comforts: rooms are very basic (not even a light on the bedside) and there's no soundproofing at all and you can hear everything from other rooms and a lot of noise from the street.we were travelling with a small child so this was not really convenient for us. Rooms were not dirty but a bit run down. The garden view is actually a "street view".

The breakfast was exceptionally good and definitely a highlight of our stay. We would also like to mention Bai, who took care of everything in a very attentive, friendly and helpful way, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Due to the building design, the hotel can be a bit sound-sensitive. It didn’t bother us personally, but light sleepers may want to keep this in mind.

I’m celiac and the owner went out of his way to make sure I had delicious Thai choices for breakfast. We were in room #1 on the ground level and the noise from the room above us was extremely loud (simply because there’s no insulation- the people weren’t especially noisy).

• Jeanne (10/5): - In Bangkok, I think where you choose to stay has a large influence on your enjoyment of the city. Staying at Neighbor Phuthon was perfect. The breakfast every morning was delicious, and Bai at the front desk is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet (and his English is outstanding). It's walking distance to many sites, but is on a quiet side street, enabling us to relax after a day out in the hustle of downtown. I am so glad we chose to stay here, and will gladly return.

The location very convenient for a number of key sights and access to river and canal for boats. We enjoyed the traditional home cooked Thai breakfast every morning and great recommendations from the host. There are a number of good local food places including a fantastic ice cream shop. Sitting in an interesting little local enclave just outside of the fray, it is “old Bangkok” at its best and walking distance to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, local parks and great food. Even better was waking up each morning in anticipation of what “A” might have made for breakfast that day. The service and friendship of our host, Pai was exceptional, and he will be remembered fondly. It was perfect. This was the first stop on our around-the-world travels, and Pai has set the bar high for us.

Staff take great care of the building and ensure guests are equally respectful of the space which we appreciated. We felt very looked after, staff were kind, helpful and offered plenty of local knowledge and suggestions for how to spend our time in Bangkok. Located very near major tourist attractions, including the palace, temples, museum, flower market and china town. Breakfast was top notch, each morning we were served a new dish that would include a side and something small and sweet. Very tasty and made with care.

• Giulia (10/5): - This guesthouse is in a heritage protected old building of Bangkok, with all the charme that comes with it. The room and bathroom were clean, but the cherry on top of our stay was the absolutely delicious breakfast we’ve been treated with, a traditional meal composed of 3 dishes (one hot, one crunchy, one sweet) which is being prepared every day differently by Pai and his staff. Pai, the manager, was super friendly and helped us with lots of tips to enjoy our visit of the city, which contributed to make us love Bangkok even more! We’ll be back and will be suggesting this place to all our friends :) truly recommended!

• Andreas (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay. After a long day in the busy city, coming back here felt like returning to a little oasis away from the chaos. The area is very quiet and peaceful, with some nice small restaurants nearby. A big thank you to Khun Pei and his colleague, whose name we unfortunately didn’t catch. You were amazing hosts and made our stay truly special. The authentic Thai breakfast is great, definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Great Place! All perfect!

• Martin (9/5): - Das kleine Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Lage und nur ein paar Minuten entfernt von einigen Sehenswürdigkeiten wie der Grosse Palast. Es ist perfekt für Bangkok Einsteiger, familiär und noch mit Thai Tradition geführt (Frühstück). . Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Gastfreundlichkeit des Hosts (Bai): er hat uns unglaublich viele Tips gegeben und er ist immer auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen.

• Mark (10/5): A beautiful and charming hotel. - We are so glad we found this gem of a hotel in such a lovely part of the old town. The hotel is a beautiful old building and is tastefully furnished, clean and comfortable. . But definitely the nicest aspect of our stay was hotel staff, Bai, who made us feel welcome and was so helpful and informative about places to visit during our stay. Also, the breakfasts (different each day) were delicious! And such a nice change to queuing at a buffet. If you are looking for a tranquil haven amidst the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, this is it! Mattress was a little too firm, but we understand that this is personal preference and may be perfect for others.

• Anke (10/5): Neighbor Phuton war für mich ein wunderbarer Ort um Bangkok kennenzulernen und auszuruhen. - Ein Haus mit Geschichte, einem herrlichen kleinen Patio, stillvollem und einfachem Ambiente. Und einem hervorragenden Empfang. Ideal gelegen im alten Teil Bangkoks spielt sich direkt vor der Tür das Leben mit seinen Einwohnern rund um einen Dorfplatz ab, abends ist das gesellig. Das Frühstück bietet morgens feine thailändische Kostproben an für einen Bangkok-Tag.

• Jan Wilhelm (9/5): - Perfekte Lage um während eines Stopovers die Altstadt mit dem Königspalast, Wat Phra Kaeo, Wat Pho, Khaosan Road zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Bebauung des kompletten Platzes ist ein Ensemble und alle Häuser gleich gestaltet. Ziemlich hellhörig. Sehr wenig Möglichkeiten gebrauchte Handtücher zum Trocknen aufzuhängen.
• Inês (10/5): - Honestly, the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a quiet comfortable place in Bangkok from which you don't have to take transportation besides walking to see the main spots. It's 15mins walking to the grand palace, 30mins to chinatown and 30mins to the pier where you can take the very cheap public boat to jim Thompson's house and the big shopping centers. The staff were incredible nice and helpful with tips. The hotel is in a very quiet peaceful square with delicious food. The room is comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and different everyday. 100% recommend. Nothing bad, honestly.
