- Anna (10/5): Perfect cottage stay - will definitely be staying here again when we pass through. - Cottages are very nicely done up without loosing the heritage appeal. Kitchenette had everything you need. Super comfy bed, great location - very short walk into main part of Main Street. We were in a studio cottage which was plenty big enough for the two of us - more than enough room if we needed to stay for a week or more. Great thing is you can book for a single night’s stay. The council actually owns it and I believed managed the renovations to give Burra a great tourist stop off - and they sure did succeed. Nothing!

- Kylie (9/5): Fantastic central location with great facilities and very comfortable. - Bed was comfortable and warm with extra blankets. Kitchen was basic but had what we needed for preparing our meals. Parking on site was easy and secure. Nice big shower. Separate Hot and cold water taps in the shower made it challenging to get the water temperature correct. The mixer tap in the bathroom was stiff. Could not connect to the wifi so had to hotspot off my phone.

The kitchen was spacious and the split air-conditioning in the lounge provided some added heating at night. The location was excellent and the cottages were well soundproofed. It was like stepping back in time! The shower recess was too shallow so the water splashed everywhere on the bathroom floor.

Quiet location very close to the pretty Burra creek and short walk to shops & cafes! The bedding configuration was not what Booking.com had listed for our booking. For the 2 bedroom cottage it was listed as having 2 double beds & 1 single which as a family with 2 couples and a child was what we wanted. When we got there we found that the 2nd bedroom had 2 single beds! Not a double as per our booking! Luckily one adult was not able to come or this would have been very inconvenient!

- Graeme (10/5): Highly recommend this excellent blend of history and contemporary. - I couldn't rate it more highly. I enjoy staying in buildings that have character and some history and the cottages were very well done in terms of combining modern facilities with the existing character. The pull chords instead of light switches were an example and really added to the character. The apartment was very clean and everything was provided. Nothing. I genuinely can't think of any tangible improvements required.

- Louise (8/5): Unique Stay - Very easy to find, the accommodation was unique & very clean. The back door was a little hard to open fully. The room was a little loud and echo-y. Microwave was also loud. Didn't receive the WiFi password All minor things that wouldn't stop me from coming back.

Excellent location, easy walk into town for dining and shopping. Towel rails fell, but that is just a minor point, wouldn’t stop me from staying again.
