• Karla (9/5): A week was enough with dogs, but a nice break. - best location! Needed more information about where the dogs would go. Our 10 year old Lab had a lot of problems going up the stairs. So you need to let people know what unit is offering the dogs. From now on, I would take unit 1 for the yard. The yard for #3 was not appropriate for 2 dogs and we would not put them into it. Left them outside on a chain, which is not idea. But they loved the park and beach;, so great location. On our own, loved Unit 3 if with no dogs. Bar-b-q lost gas so did not have a meal on the baar-b-q.

• Mealmaker (9/5): Clean, comfortable accommodation in an amazing location - Beachcomber was an amazing location and so great for our little dog who had his own yard to laze in the sun. The unit had everything you could need and was clean and comfortable.

• Sarah (7/5): - Great location and space and good yard for dogs. The floors haven’t been mopped in a long time. You can tell because your feet get black after walking around on them. I’ve experienced this both times I’ve stayed over the years.
• Jodie (8/5): Definitely going back - Location Internet was down for most of the first week but they did get into it when I told them. When we entered the unit the door handle was completely off the door and no one bothered to replace it before we got there

• Michael (4/5): - Great position/location. Bed comfy. BBQ was filthy. Main bedroom curtains dirty/mouldy. All windows extremely dirty. General housekeeping needs vast improvement. Pan&brush left was left full of dog hair from previous guests.
• Milinda (10/5): Wonderful, relaxing in the perfect location. - Perfect location! Across the road from main beach and Mitches Jetty which is a popular swimming spot and coffee shop. Close to other coffee shops. Have stayed here many times over the years with our little dog and family at different times. Apartment is always clean and plenty of room for a family and has a well stocked kitchen also a lovely balcony to sit and watch the world go by. Highly recommend a stay here.

• Shane (6/5): We enjoyed our stay very much. But for the price per night I think it was overpriced - I think they could have more attention to detail in cleaning. There were cobwebs and a couple of spiders. Mould or dirt on window ledges. Some dishes were soiled and grease under some.

• Rebecca (8/5): Great location, pet-friendly, and comfortable stay! - We loved how close the accommodation was to the beach, it was perfect for morning walks with the dogs. The outdoor space was great for them too. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Being so close to Cranky Cafe was a bonus, we could wander down for a coffee and bite to eat each morning. The TV also had Netflix and other streaming services, which was a nice touch. The coffee machine was a bit disappointing, it worked intermittently and was clunky to use. Also, the brown display pillow on the bed didn’t seem clean, it left hairs on the white linen, which felt a bit unhygienic.

One roll of toilet paper and one garbage bag for a week stay. Heater continued to cut out, filter probably dirty. Front stairs handrail and steps broken and dangerous.

The beach and Mitchies Jetty are just a brief walk away, and we loved that our unit had a fully fenced yard for our dog—it was such a convenient feature. The space was clean, comfortable, and perfect for everyone. We would definitely stay here again.

• Natalia (7/5): Great location. Apartment needs to be better maintained and cleaning service should be improved. Suggest that basic supp - Superb location, comfortable beds and full kitchen. Insufficient basic necessities - no dishwashing detergent, two rolls of toilet paper for a family spending three nights there, and one garbage bag. There is a paper wasp’s nest on the front balcony so we didn’t use that side which was a shame. Previous occupants’ wet towels were hanging on the back of the bathroom door on arrival. Kitchen cupboard falling off its hinge.
• Sydney (10/5): Lovely Pet Friendly Beachside Stay - Location couldn’t be better. We loved our stay here. Especially the face that we could bring our pup- less than a 5 minute walk to the main beach. Walking distance to everything you need. The beds were really comfortable and having the yard was a bonus. We loved everything. The only tiny little thing was that the sliding door was really hard to open/close and it would have been nice to have hand soap but that’s just being nitpicky.
• Rowley (7/5): Questionable cleaning. - Good location, great pet friendly front yard and reasonably spacious. The updated bathroom and toilet area was appreciated. The entry, laundry area had an unbearable Oder. Purchased air freshener and left the door open for days but the Odor remained. Bedrooms needed to be aired to reduce Odor for acceptable sleeping conditions.

• Lucy (8/5): Perfect location, nice and quiet and easy to get to get around. Our fur baby was just as happy as us :) - Great location! Plenty of room and allowed for our little doggy to join in the fun. Shower was great water pressure and nice and hot. It was great and we managed, but would be ideal if there were a few more kitchen facilities provided. For example; no oven trays, no frying pan (a sauté pan was included, but had a dome which meant oil ran down and gathered at the sides; we couldn’t cook eggs or pancakes etc for breakfast). We bought some tongs and left them there as needed for cooking on the bbq. Some cleaning items for the bbq would have been handy too.

• Tracey (4/5): Not able to relax - Location Has been excellent in the past but getting a bit mean spirited, A/C not working and not adequate on top story, no dog run available for apartments 2 and 3. Unlimited wifi but no smart tv We left 4 days early on a 7 day stay and won't be back.
• Sean (8/5): A comfortable stay in a great location. - This was our second stay here. You can see the beach from the balcony it is just across the road and through the park. 5 mins walk. There are 3 beaches, the lakeshore, sandbar just outside the inlet and the surf beach. Fishpen Takeaway is 2 mins walk down the street and is next door to Cranky Cafe. Cranky Cafe bake the best Turkish rolls that we bought fresh each morning to make our own brekky rolls. Cleaning could have been a bit better but this was addressed with the manager and should be better.

Kitchen well equipped. Clean and comfortable, overall a lovely stay. No access to courtyard from inside the apartment. Not really an issue, but something I had anticipated being able to do.

We liked everything about the property, although would’ve loved a ground level apartment for the dogs but the balcony and the parks/beaches right across the road was very helpful.

Positives- location, pet friendly, washing machine, undercover parking, view of oyster farms when standing in kitchen Negative - hinges in doors of kitchen cupboards are rusted, so they don’t function correctly; there were large holes with exposed stuffing in one arm chair; the dining table was covered in deep marks; on a 37 degree day the air conditioner would turn itself off after 5 minutes, even with the doors shut & we tried every setting on the A/C remote it didn’t help. We have stayed here several times and this was the least favourable trip we have had.

• John (7/5): Great time at Merimbula - Wonderful location close to the beach, lake and a short walk to the township. Unit is comfortable and having the fenced yard was excellent for our small dog. Check in process is quick and easy. Communication is also great. Cleaning needs more attention. Despite the floors being mopped prior to our arrival, they were still very dirty. Kitchen could also have been a bit cleaner. A bit of basic maintenance in the unit is also needed.
• Tanya (9/5): Great location! - We stayed in Unit 1 and it was perfect for us and the dog - he loved the location right opposite the beach. It was lovely and quiet, in a great location and the whole check in and out process was easy.

• Jonathan (8/5): This is an excellent place to stay with pets and close to all amenities. - Excellent location very close to the beach and walking distance to town. Fantastic place to stay if you have pets. It was a little cold in the apartment so we had to have the split system on.

• Beresford (1/5): Damaged furniture. TV was very bad. Other issues. Read comments. - The location is good. Nothing else. - The dining table severely scratched and damaged and it always looked dirty. Every time you looked around you thought it needed a clean, but it was just the damage. - The couch was old and torn. - TV was and old TEAC, not a smart TV, sound was tinny. - All we had was free to air TV which most people will agree is unwatchable unless you like adds. - There were three DVDs to watch - Disney princess cartoons that are not suitable for anybody over 7 and most boys. - Considering the points above, when its cold outside and most places are closed you might like to watch a movie or connect to Netflix or something like that. Given this property is probably earning 3-5k per week in peak seasons it's stingy not to spend under 1k for a better TV that lasts 3-5 years at least. - Undercover parking was so dirty and dusty. - The dryer was out of reach, and you had to stand on a plastic chair to reach it. - The safety lights coming down the stairs where our apartment (number 3) didn't work and it was dangerous because the stairs on the path towards the car park we not normal and easy to trip on. - Sink in the laundry was constantly dripping. Just change the washer! - The entry door codes were old and worn and it made it hard to see the numbers to press in the codes.

• Sean (9/5): Awesome accommodation. We would be very happy to come back to Beachcombers again. - This is our 3rd stay in Merimbula. All in different accommodation in Fishpen. This has been the best by far. We had the upstairs unit with a large balcony overlooking the park next to the beach. We were just a few minutes walk to the lake and beach. The unit was a good size, light and airy. We had the doors open to the balcony all night and slept to the sounds of the waves, The kitchen is well fitted with a great stove and very good fridge and the pantry was a good size. The only thing I could think of was the TV. It was not smart and the sound was shocking. But then again, if you spend most of your time doing activities you don't need to worry about that.
