"The place is 👌 very clean. On the first day, I was afraid of how I would share with people I didn't know, but in the end, I felt right at home and even extended my stay for more days♥️ . All the staff members there are always in a good mood🙏

- Mazibuko (10/5): after all , l felt more than safe. - central location which makes life every easy in terms of transoort and stores.
Really had a good time there and the fact that there are activities inside even a braai day, ohh amazing. l think its good for the cleaners to always knock before opening the door.
- Jacob (10/5): - The place is very clean all staff are frendly.🔥🔥🔥🔥

- Nkosinathi (10/5): Amazing !!!! - Stayed over a month at a Long Street backpackers and the location really makes everything easy.
Food rating: 7.5–8/10 — you’ve got solid options like Tiger’s Milk Long Street, Obi Restaurant, Lola’s Eatery, and local flavour at Mama Africa. Quick bites like Shawarma House are everywhere too.
What really stands out is how close you are to everything. You can walk to Greenmarket Square, explore the colourful streets of Bo-Kaap, or relax in Company’s Garden.
A short trip gets you to bigger attractions like V&A Waterfront and even Table Mountain.
Then at night, Long Street comes alive — bars, music, and a constant buzz right outside your door.
Simple, central, and a great base if you want Cape Town at your doorstep. Nothing
- Kgabo (10/5): - Spacious and airy rooms

- Caleb (10/5): It was one heck of an experience - My biggest mistake was thinking it was a good idea booking 7 nights at LSB. Nowhere in the property description is there any warning saying that I would end up extending my stay for another 2 months. I'm truly disappointed in the staff for not mentioning this. I almost chose not to leave and permanently move in.
I met so many amazing people that became great friends, and so many great friends that became family. LSB is more than a hostel, and 1 or 2 nights is not nearly enough to fully experience it.
I will however advise anyone planning on booking in to start hydrating a week before arriving at the property. Also make sure you get some extra sleep in before arriving. The beds are amazing and the rooms are perfect but after arriving you might not want to use them.
The staff are really cool as well. Yvan checked me in with a warm welcome and showed me around the property, he's a really cool dude. I'd say watch out for Shaq's jokes, they can catch you off guard if you're not focused - if you need any info or assistance he's your guy. Always willing to assist and help in any way he can. I'd say watch out for Jordan at the bar - he makes the best cocktails, works the DJ booth(White Coffee) and if you catch him after shift you might just have the best time of your life. Tate is an energy ball, always making everyone feel welcome and organizing events which suit everyone. If you want a free drink from him just say "Put VOLUM".
The location is great - It's in the heart of Long Street and walking distance from everything including bars, clubs, restaurants, gyms, parks and clothing stores.
My time at LSB was definitely worth remembering. I would've gone more often I knew about it earlier. N/A

Accommodation only. Bathroom was without clip/lid to prevent water. I used toilet paper to prevent water from leaking while bathing 🛁.
- jennifer (10/5): New experience - It was a new experience for me, first time sharing communal spaces with people I do not know. N/A
- Schalk (8/5): Affordable - Safety Noisy, music until early hours of the morning
- Rojasi (10/5): Well organised and safe place, i left my bag inside the without being locked, nothing was stolen. - Everthing Nothing

- Tim (8/5): It’s my 2nd time staying there. Value for money. All staff are were supper friendly. Tanaka was exceptional. Will defini - It’s central. Close to everything I spotted a few roaches in the 4 sleeper room
- Sithole (5/5): Not too bad - The staff was friendly and helpful. There were coachroaches so that means cleanliness is a problem. The facilities can do with an upgrade, showers dont have a glass or curtain around them which is a turn off.
- Nina (10/5): -
- Karabo (10/5): -
- Angula (9/5): My stay was great, there are many restuarants closeby that I could easily walk to for meals. - It is perfectly located in Lonng street. you can easily walk to anywhere else
- Karabo (9/5): - This hostel nailed the one thing that matters most: the vibe. It is almost impossible not to get pulled into group dinners, bar events, sunsets, and late-night chats in the common area. You can't fake a community like this. If you're traveling solo and want to feel like you instantly have a crew, this is the spot.

- Reno (7/5): -
- Sipho Makhutla (10/5): - Everything
- Mandy (7/5): My stay at Long Street Backpackers was good i felt safe and the staff was friendly willing to help - The location was busy especially with the clubs at night but it was safe walking around. I liked everything about it.
- Matt (10/5): Matt007 - Excellent Service, feels like a community There is really nothing I didn't like
- Matt (10/5): Matt007 - Nice vibe, good people, security, and lots of fun activities Lol....me keeping on extending my stay !!! Cause this question has become now irrelevant to me...
- Ntsimane (8/5): -
- Connor (10/5): Long Street Backpackers is the best social tourist backpackers in Cape Town and it backs it up. - The hostel is well maintained and comfortable. The staff are friendly and extremely accommodating. The bar is lively amd hosts a variety of activities throughout the week. The communal kitchen is well looked after and cleaned daily. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hostel hosts activities around Cape Town that are entertaining and affordable.
- Matt (10/5): Matt 007 - Friendly staff from cleaners to admin. To be honest there is nothing that I didn't like

- Motshabi (8/5): - I liked the staff members. They were so wonderful. I am coming back in May and would love to be housed there again.
- Ruby (8/5): Busy and very social hostel in the centrum of Capetown - Very social place, good kitchen and cooking opportunities
Super lovely Staff
Super sweet sitting area in the courtyard with nice plants Cockroach in room but they have been removed and we got another room
Very busy (not the safest) neighbourhood and party area, so it is always loud
- Zola (10/5): Clean place always on point, friendly staff - Yes Nothing
- Molly (9/5): Favourite backpackers in Cape Town - Awesome vibes! They get everyone involved in activities, great facilities. Always somewhere to hang out alone or someone to chat to. Good location too. Clean, good kitchen and bar A bit loud, but it is on Long Street so that’s how it is
