• alev (7/5): They attempted to charge us extra for our 6-year-old despite a “free child stay” policy, gave conflicting information ab - Good shower, good location They attempted to charge us extra, claiming that our 6-year-old child was not included in the booking and that we had only booked for two people. This is despite the fact that the room was advertised with a “free stay for your kid”, which we specifically paid for. We also requested two double beds and one separate bed for three people. When we arrived, the room was clearly prepared for three guests, including our child. Nevertheless, staff insisted that he had not been included in the booking. Their own policy also states that children under 7 are not charged, which makes this situation even more confusing and frustrating. Additionally, we were refused luggage storage, even though this service is advertised on their page. The night before we left, a staff member confirmed that they would store our luggage and there was a misunderstanding about the extra charge for our kid. However, the next morning, a different staff member—the same one who asked for extra payment for our child—said they were fully booked and could not store it. When we explained what we had been told the previous day, he dismissed his colleague by saying they were “not the sharpest one,” which was extremely rude and unprofessional. He then told us they had “cleared” the extra charge for our child—as if this were a favor—despite the fact that the charge should never have been raised in the first place. We did not want to argue during our Christmas break, but the way this situation was handled was completely unacceptable. Aside from the issues mentioned above, the room was not particularly clean: there was an unpleasant smell in the toilet and a spider web on the ceiling. We stayed for four nights and were only provided with three small bottles of water for the entire stay, as well as just one set of shampoo/body wash, body lotion, and soap. I normally wouldn’t be this critical, but the way our concerns were handled affected how we experienced the stay.

• Mina (2/5): Not worth the money - Location is good WiFi isn’t working in the room. Staff couldn’t fix it. They have to contact IT who was off on Sunday. Even on Monday the issue wasn’t resolved. Their system disconnects you from the WiFi after 2 minutes max. It’s not a hotel. It’s a motel. The door on the street is closed and you have to ring a bell so they open to you. Then you have to climb the stairs for 1 floor with all your luggage to reach the reception.

• Sarah (10/5): Perfect - This was my second visit to Budapest: the first was on my honeymoon in 1985. A different world. I was delighted to return in order to attend a reunion of my in-laws and our week's stay was very full-on, seeing family who had travelled to Budapest by plane, train and boat to get together. It very much helped having such a lovely room to stay in. It was extremely spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and clean, plus the staff were wonderful - many thanks to Ferenc in particular for sorting out our stay. The hotel is exceptionally well located near the beautiful market and just round the corner from the Danube. It couldn't be better situated for trams, buses, the Metro and for restaurants and bars. The shower worked perfectly and was easy to use, the bed was really comfortable and I loved the mixture of old and new furnishings and the fascinating, atmospheric building.

• George (9/5): Quiet, convenient location at the heart of downtown. You literally step out into downtown in 10 secs - There was no breakfast, but we did not want any because there were excellent choices just outside the hotel. The heater was set a bit high and we had to open the window every now and then - the heaters were via radiators whose temperature could not be controlled. We were moved to a new room where things were normal.

• Tóbiás (10/5): It was a very good choice even if I went for one day. - The location is perfect, near everything. The staff is very good always there and friendly. The room was beatiful and clean. The minibar had good things in it for a reasonable price. The bathroom had good amenities, but you need to bring your own shaver gel and shampoo I had some trouble I selected the option for a double bed and my double bed was two single beds pushed together, and after a few hours of sleeping I was waken up cause I was sliding inside the two single beds.

De la cameră Deluxe dubla am primit cu totul alt ceva. Bine-n teles ca am fost la recepție dar nu ne-am înțeles cu băiatul care era.

It was convenient to have a 24-hour reception and have immediate access to the property without bothering with a lock box. The room has interesting old photographs of Budapest. The room was quiet to sleep. The location is easily walkable to the market and spas. The room was cleaned every day and the teas, water and coffee thoughtfully replenished. A great home base for a quick and easy trip to Budapest! The room had minor cosmetic issues, such as some of the floorboards slid apart. But I would definitely stay again.

Located on a very popular pedestrian street with lots of places to eat and drink, the hotel lies behind one of the restaurants (very popular with locals, excellent food and discounted for guests). The rooms are arranged around a balcony in the 1st floor open to elements. The room itself was very nice and clean with a good shower. Staff lovely. We were very happy with our choice of Lion Premium Nothing springs to mind.

• SOPHIE (9/5): Séjour de 4 jours en famille - Très bon séjour dans l'hôtel Lion Premium, le quartier est très agréable et calme (rue piétonne). Le personnel est sympathique et accueillant. La chambre séparée pour notre adolescent était un plus (une porte donnait sur la chambre principale). Par contre la chambre ne ressemble pas à la photo de votre demande d'évaluation.

The refund was made by hotel back to my cc, but again 4 eur less then original amount. Therefore I paid more then 10 eur more due their mistake and so far they are refusing to reimburse me the outstanding money. I would them not recommend this accommodation.

• Peter (8/5): - Ich war für den Herbalife Event angereist und war positiv überrascht von der Unterkunft. Grosszügige, sehr saubere Zimmer. Personal war sehr freundlich. Der Eingang war für uns am Anfang etwas verwirrend, es benötigt einen Code. Gut zu Wissen es geht über eine Treppe in den ersten Stock. Wir hatten keine Mahlzeiten gebucht. Personal war sehr hilfsbereit. Es konnte vor der Abreise ein privater Flughafenbus gebucht werden, dies wurde vom Hotel organisiert.
