On a loué une chambre pour 3 adultes, avec 1 lit double + un canapé convertible. Sauf qu’il n’est pas possible de dormir sur ce canapé. Le matelas est hyper fin (<5cm) et on sent tous les ressorts, impossible d’y dormir, même un enfant, même juste pour une sieste. A l’arrivée dans notre première chambre, on voit que le ménage n’a pas été fait entièrement : il reste de la vaisselle sale dans le lave-vaisselle, il reste de la nourriture dans le frigo, mais ça ça ne nous dérangerait pas si le canapé lit était utilisable. On va le dire à la réception et elle nous attribue une autre chambre, similaire. Cette fois le ménage est fait sauf qu’en dépliant le canapé-lit il est plein de miettes, et tout aussi inconfortable que le précédent. On retourne la voir pour lui dire qu’on a loué pour 3 personnes et qu’il est impossible de dormir dans le canapé et elle nous a transféré dans une chambre avec 2 vrais lits sans surcoût. Un grand merci à elle. Donc faites attention : s’il vous faut 2 couchages, vous devez prendre 2 lits, les canapés convertibles ne le sont pas (d'ailleurs aucun drap, coussin, etc. n'est fourni pour la 3eme personne).

Still haven’t got money back. - I stayed May 7 through May 10 I paid for the room ahead of time and my car was still charged over $500 while I was staying there. Front desk said money will reappear once I check out. I checked out over five business days ago and the hotel still has over 500 extra dollars that they took for me and I called again and they said I have to wait three more business days that’s over $500 that I do not have and they can’t explain why it was took in the first place

I’ve stayed here twice before and I didn’t have this problem. Not sure if it was the room in the area or something. What’s wrong with the AC but I was not happy with that.

Everyone was talking there at all time and the door sounded too much. No privacy at all because the windows faced the terrace directly.

- Brian (9/5): Great stay, comfortable spacious hotel and central base in New Orleans - I had a very enjoyable stay. I had a big spacious room with nice comfortable bed, kitchen, living room with wide screen TV, walk in wardrobe, and strong shower. There's a big, well stocked buffet breakfast early every morning which should keep one going into the afternoon, served in a spacious dining room by breakfast staff that are on the ball. Hotel staff are nice, friendly and helpful and there is a real chilled, relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. There are sofas and water downstairs if you want to park up for a few minutes and relax or take a moment to organise yourself before leaving the hotel. Geographically, Sonesta ES Suites is at Loyola and Common at the junction with Basin Street which is close to the centre of New Orleans - 10 minutes or less walk to Decatur and Canal and a few more minutes to the riverboat terminals. It's around the same distance to convenience stores. Some other main drags like Bourbon St. etc. are even closer. The airport bus comes and goes from the library across the road from the hotel, and if you want to go to any music venues out north you have the no. 8 bus or streetcar, and to head south you have the street cars on Charles Avenue, again less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Thoroughly recommended, hope I'll get back again some day!

- patricia (6/5): I like the convenient location and security. Disappointed that the hotel has gone downhill. - I missed 8 breakfasts as I had to leave at 6am for my volunteer position at Jazzfest. Often the breakfasts didn't have staples like yogurt and bananas. The pancake machine was broken the entire time. Neither phone worked in my room the entire stay. I gave up on wake-up service after three out of four failed times. T V didn't include HBO and other channels that were available on prior stays. I didn't receive any credit for prior long-term stays. I did not receive a copy of my bill. The deck clerk said the bill was emailed to me. I didn't get an email copy. All elevators had issues with the doors closing smoothly.

Ook op wandelafstand naar de French Quarter. Ruime kamer met eigen keukentje. Goede douche. Goed bed. Rustig hotel, buiten de sirenes van de politie buiten, geen lawaai. Fijn dat er ontbijt is inbegrepen: ontbijtgranen, toast, pancakes of wafels, gebakken aardappeltjes of hash browns, spek en eieren. Er was weinig plaats in de badkamer om je handdoeken op te hangen.
