- James (7/5): Mostly good - The building and grounds are beautiful. Great security and very friendly and helpful staff. Air conditioned room and large oversized bed was wonderful. Spa and pool area were very nice. Shower was disappointing. Not much water pressure and one day the water was only cold and was discolored. The next morning it was back to normal. Wifi was only OK. The food in the restaurants was more expensive.than I expected. My room was very clean but there were small things that kept it from being excellent (like a bathroom light that would not turn out). I would definitely stay again, but know this is not a 5-star hotel.

The look and feel of the resort hotel is outdated. The food menu is limited for international options and preparations not really authentic. But still it tasted good. The room & stay was quite comfortable though. The hotel needs a complete makeover to bring it to current style of hotels. But being at remote place, having limited footfall & with struggling economy, the chances of makeover are slim for sure.

The staff actually feel like friends. - This was the third time I stayed at the Hotel and one of the unique features is the kindness of the staff at the reception desk and the great ambience throughout the hotel. I love the soft instrumental music played throughout. I had to stay an extra night due to a flight cancellation and they accommodated me and my Team with such professionalism. The hotel was perfect for me and my colleagues. No complaints.

In the past we have been subjected to multiple broadcasts, and long early morning loudspeaker rantings, apart from the Call, while at Mbale Resort. These were actually enough to stop us visiting; we think they could be directed straight to the homes of those who want to hear them. We have nothing against Islam, but a lot against being woken up at 5 am with this unwanted intrusion of noise. nothing for us!

- Douglas (10/5): Exceptional - Stay here when I can. Lovely hotel with great facilities. Very good ambience. Staff are excellent. Very secure. Delightful breakfast al fresco. Very spacious. Balcony viewing the mountain. They have a new lift Nothing really. Perhaps more water pressure in the shower
- Angelique (8/5): Very good - Very friendly staff. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast and food was delicious. Lot of fresh fruits and great selection. Room service was perfect. TV in the room is netflix enabled. the grounds and garden are great. They could do better with the area around the pool but all in all was good. Early check in. Late check out. Hotel bar was closed. Pool bar was too far. Some of the items on the menu in the restaurant are not prepared the way they are described. E.g. the tilapia in cream sauce. a

- Marcellin (4/5): Disappointing - It was a horrible experience. Upon arrival at the hotel , I was given a room where there was no a/c and wifi connection. I came downstairs to the reception and requested the room to be replaced, the ladies refused to satisfy my request and I had to spend almost an hour and making noise before they finally gave me another room. This should not be happening in a hotel where you are paying a lot to stay.

Sit outside if you want. A little beautiful Ruppel's Robin Chat came and hopped at our table one morning. A joy. My colleague enjoys the sauna. Every facility available. So enjoyable. Nothing really. The had power supply problems on day but soon sorted

- Angela (8/5): Lovely gardens, lovely hotel. - Great hotel. Clean. Lovely. Heaps of amenities in room. Beautiful gardens. Fantastic massage. Overall, so so nice. It's hotels only fault... no lift. We were on the 4th floor so it was a lot of stairs!! I request that Reservations staff let guests know that there is no lift on arrival, and check if they are okay with so many stairs - if we had have known, we would have requested a room on the 1st or 2nd floor as we had a 1-year-old child with us.
- Grace (2/5): - Disorganised! I booked during the Christmas period. They didn’t know how many rooms were available. As a result of overbooking, I was asked to vacate my room on Christmas day. They also shutdown their online booking service because they didn’t have the internal infrastructure to monitor bookings. There’s no lift and the stairs are uneven, which poses a hazard. Sadly, there aren’t many comparable options in terms of amenities locally (e.g. spa, pool). However, I would recommend Mount Elgon Hotel as an alternative stay. It’s smaller, but the overall service is better and has the standard of amenities.

- Martin (10/5): Mbale Resort is a world class 5 Star hotel with excellent customer service. They have everything you need for your pleas - The property is Modern and well designed. Some restroom doors lock you outside and you need the help of a receptionist to unlock them for you to either take a shower or use a toilet.
- Noel (8/5): Very good - The staff were very helpful and hospitable. Would be nice to have a lift as I was on the 4th. However, it was good exercise 😄
