Guest Reviews
- Patricia (10/5): -
- Adrianne (9/5): It was a wonderful experience and we will stay there again. - Most everything Had a bit of a rough time finding the front door at first . Had to go around the block
- Antonio (8/5): Clean and roomy hotel in good location - New, clean, big room. Great location. Check in was not very friendly.
Breakfast starts at 7am on Saturday and I had to leave exactly at 7am - no breakfast box was offered even when requested, I mean not even a banana.
- Karen (10/5): - Cleanliness, good access to area in Cincinnati
- Emily (1/5): Don’t go, spend money elsewhere. - I can’t really say 1 positive thing about this place. Very unprofessional. The rooms were dirty, my daughter found a bug on her pillow, the door did not lock correctly, I was charged an extra $50 so I paid over $400 for a room that was disgusting. The pool only goes up to 4 feet, the breakfast was decent though.
- Cynthia (10/5): It was great! - Valet parking Floor in the room wasn’t clean. My husband had dust bunnies on his feet.
- Robert (10/5): -
- Kelcie (1/5): “A system glitch caused a duplicate booking, repeated unauthorized charges, hours of stress on New Year’s Day, and poor - Dear Booking.com Customer Service,
I am writing to formally report a serious issue caused by a system error within the Booking.com app that resulted in a duplicate reservation, incorrect charges, and significant emotional distress during my stay on New Year’s Day.
I used the Booking.com app to reserve one room at a total cost of $246.60 Due to a glitch in the system, a second reservation was created at the same time through the Marriott website, without my intent or authorization. This error was not caused by me.
From approximately 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on New Year’s Day, my partner and I spent hours attempting to resolve this issue instead of celebrating her birthday. During this time:
* I was charged a total of $710.60 for a stay that should have cost $246.60
* One reservation was cancelled by hotel staff without clear communication
* I was later charged an additional $200 in person under the explanation that my card was needed “to verify my identity”
* I was effectively forced to stay an additional night or lose the money already taken
* A refund I was told would be issued did not return when promised
This stay was meant to celebrate my partner’s birthday—her first birthday since the loss of her mother. Instead, the morning was filled with stress and financial strain. At one point, my partner was so overwhelmed that she cried alone in the bathroom on her birthday.
Compounding this, my uncle passed away earlier that morning on New Year’s Day, which I disclosed to hotel management while seeking help. Despite this, there was no acknowledgment or apology.
Additionally, after the billing dispute, we experienced a noticeable change in how we were treated at the property. We were no longer greeted or acknowledged by management, while other guests who appeared to be white couples were warmly greeted. This difference in treatment was distressing and concerning.
Due to the seriousness of the issue, my sister, Dr. Erica N.

- Christopher L (10/5): Great choice - The location of this hotel is great, with a great selection of restaurants and stores in the surrounding area. It's a quick 10 minute drive into downtown, so it's a good choice if you have activities planned, like baseball or football games, or festivals. This hotel has become our go-to choice when visiting Cincinnati. It's clean, the beds are very comfortable, the rooms are quiet, and it is easy to park. We have tried other hotels, but always prefer this one over any others in the area.
- Susie (10/5): -
- KIM (10/5): - All good!
- Tahnee (7/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Always great service.
- Blair (10/5): Great Stay. Thank you! - Great Experience. Excellent and clean property. Came for a Clup World Cup Soccer game. TQL Stadium is an excellent soccer venue! The USAF Aviation Museum is amazing (1 Hour away). Saw Churchill Downs, too, in Louisville, Kentucky. Even a dinner on the river in Indiana. Beautiful stay!
- TravelingMamaGlv (8/5): Spacious Suites - We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious and modern rooms. The hotel is convenient for visiting Xavier University and walkable to many restaurants. Parking is slightly inconvenient in a nearby garage and costs $10. We would stay here again.
- mario (10/5): - Clean. Quite. Easy to get to from highway. Great location. Helpful staff. Great breakfast. Nice outside sitting area. Covered parking. Emma of the front desk is wonderfully helpful and attentive to all you needs. Rooms are spacious.
- Alaa (10/5): That's the best ever -
- Brianna (10/5): My stay was great ! My family was comfortable - mostly everything Far too expensive
- KARL (10/5): - Great location and helpful staff.
- Debra (10/5): - Great property for families to stay with children. This Residence Inn is a home away from home.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Great hotel! Great location!!
- Carl (10/5): Had a great stay! - Service, location, pool Breakfast and the bed on the pullout couch. It was old dirty and thin
- Andre (4/5): Disappointing - The location was grate and room look was good too Bed bug in room staff was un helpful and mean
- Rachel (4/5): Misleading and overpriced - There wasn’t a safe, the blankets were yellow and stained, tv was slow and hardly worked, the remote was broken and for the price the breakfast was not good.
Limited channels and the pool was freezing. Also you advertise a bar/restaurant in the hotel and there is NOT
- Patrick (10/5): - Check-in staff and valet were terrific! Loved the moderness of the room
- Erin (6/5): - We always stay at this hotel when we visit family in Cincinnati. It's typically fine but this time they never cleaned our room even when they asked me at check in if I wanted cleaning on Monday. We stayed there 4 nights. I don't like the new trend of hotels not cleaning daily. It's not like the prices have decreased.
- Shaun (10/5): - The suite we stayed in was top notch and a good value. The breakfast was above average and the location is excellent. Our bathroom sink wasn't draining properly upon our arrival and was never addressed. Other than that, things were great.
- Angel (10/5): - Great experience. Food options around hotel were really good.
- Tim (8/5): - The convenience of how close everything is.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Loved the suite - We loved our room, which was spacious for a family with two tweens (two beds in a separate bedroom). The hotel was cleaned and modern and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
- Karen (10/5): - Great location
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Lots of dining options.
- P8198WProbertm (10/5): Great experience. Great property. - Beautiful property that is modern and well kept. Truly the first hotel I’ve stayed as of late that wowed me.
Sophia was friendly at check in and fast! Common areas were functional and a great place to lounge why waiting for your party to meet up.
Room was amazing. Clean, well maintained, quiet, and comfy.
Stayed at a property that was opposite of this the previous night, so condition really stood out.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katerina (10/5): - I stayed 8 nights and had a blast. I had everything I needed for my stay, fully equipped kitchen, bed was very comfortable and it was very spacious. A lot of dining options within walking distance. Highly recommended this hotel.
- Etsuko (6/5): Nothing - Location Booked though booking.com, that’s why I got totally different type of room. You have to be careful you might get super small room even you booked big one.
- taylor (10/5): - Stayed 5 nights. Highly recommended!
- David (10/5): - The only thing a about the the property i did not like was there is no free parking.
- Nick (4/5): - We checked in to room 210 and opened the pull out couch for our daughter. The mattress was absolutely disgusting. Someone had definitely vomited on it and some point. I called desk and they quickly and efficiently switched us to room 510. Gross and minor hassle but they took care of it. After we checked out we received an email with receipt for a $10 charge for parking. We did not use their $10 valet service we self parked. Irritating
- Brandon (10/5): - This place was perfect was my wife and I because we’re doing IVF right across the street. Plenty of food options in the area. The suite was perfect. Everything you could possibly need in the room. Full size kitchen. Definitely will be staying here again!
- Michael (10/5): - Would recommend
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional - Our room 701 was large and livable. a suite.
the breakfast was amazing.
- Zahid (4/5): - very poor breakfast buffet. served mostly left overs from previous days.
- Thomas (8/5): - Great location. Wasn't as clean as it used to be but still a clean hotel.
- Michelle (10/5): - I love this hotel. So convenient to so many things
- Michelle (10/5): - This is my new favorite place to stay when visiting my kid at university of Cincinnati. So convenient and great restaurants nearby
- Tamika (8/5): Very good -
- UpperWestSiderGuy (8/5): A pleasant, convenient stay - Well situated off 1-71, many and varied restaurants and shopping with in walking distance, pleasant staff, good morning breakfast in lobby, spacious workout area, indoor pool, laundry facilities, will suit your needs with bedroom, living room and large kitchette area. Necessities and food and bev. items for sale in the lobby. Valet parking is $10 a day, there is a parking garage next door too if you prefer that tho ' I did not use it so do not know what they charge. I suppose one could park for free next door in the strip mall/restaurant parking lot as well if one wanted to, but not so convenient if you have alot of luggage or things to carry. Very clean hotel. Sadly, I found No hairdryer in the bathroom, my only complaint.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hotel staff went out of their way to get us whatever we needed promptly. Room was more spacious than expected and plenty for three grown adults. Breakfast was not the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had, but it was hot and edible. Overall, wonderful stay!
- Artise (9/5): it was great - all non
- Tiffanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darnetta (9/5): Awesome - Breakfast was good. Would like more options for vegetarians
- Serena (10/5): - Residence Inn don't owe me anything. All was good.
- Patrice (10/5): - Spent the weekend at Residence Inn by Marriott Cincinnati Midtown/Rookwood with friends while attending the Cincinnati Music Festival. The staff were friendly and professional, the room was spacious and very clean and the area was perfect. There were many restaurants and stores near by which were in walking distance! We had an amazing time!
- Debra (10/5): - A great location and convenient to PayCor stadium.
- Angela (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and accommodated our needs.
We loved that the Marriott complex was conveniently situated among restaurants and shopping.
Marriott is our number one choice for hotel stays.
- Christopher (7/5): Good accommodations, location, staff but breakfast buffet needs closer attention - Good location, pleasant staff. Comfortable room Breakfast buffet offerings were not as fresh as expected. Apples were mushy, mold in cream cheese packets.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the location of the hotel. There were several places to eat and shop. The hotel room felt like a little apartment; spacious, clean, nice kitchen and awesome shower head! The couch and two chairs were stiff and uncomfortable.
- Michael (8/5): No bar/lounge on property as advertised on the sit - The staff was very courteous and helpful and the room clean. However on the site it stated there was a bar and lounge on site. After along drive in we hoped to possibly get a bite to eat and or at least a drink to unwind and relax, we did not stop anywhere in town because we were expecting a bar/lounge on property. When we arrived we were told there was not one and it was to late to go anywhere else.
- Shoira (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jordan (9/5): Very comfortable and great staff - Didn’t have breakfast Nothing
- Cody (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tamara (10/5): Amazing service - This hotel was amazing, clean, friendly you make it. Will always choose this hotel for stays going back home from now on.
- Patricia (10/5): - TJ the bellhop…the best! Everyone worked super hard but were great! Restaurant seemed short staff but they still delivered and should be recognized for their hard work. The breakfast buffet was perfect! We were very pleased with our stay
- Abigail (8/5): Very good -
- Kunjamma (10/5): - Very clean and spacious room.
- onlytravelsouth (8/5): Our New Go To Cincinnati Hotel - Stayed 2 nights visiting family in town. First experience with Residence Inns in general and was pleasantly surprised.
Room: very spacious with full fridge. Toiletries nothing special and vanity/ sink seemed on verge of disrepair but rest of room was very nice. Quiet.
Hotel: Nice front desk, wish they had daily maid service but extra towels were available at front desk. Free breakfast had lots of choices. Cornhole and ping pong available outside front door. Location was GREAT as we took uber down to Reds game. Immediate surrounding area had lots of restaurants, bars and stores within walking distance.
Parking was $10 a nigh but felt secure in the garage.
Will be our new go to hotel in Cincinnati.
- Hardig (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (10/5): - Nice clean hotel, pet friendly, close to good restaurants and nice area. Would definitely stay again.
- David (10/5): - We would stay again
- Gb (6/5): Pleasant - Breakfast poor, gym equipment poor.
Servicing of rooms every other day, when you only stay 2 nights you would expect the other day the one day you stay there.
- Chris (10/5): - Excellent breakfast.
- Daniel (8/5): - Clean convenient if you are visiting Xavier. I do not know what else would bring you here. The restaurants and shopping within walking distance are numerous. The surrounding neighborhood beyond the shopping and food seems sketchy
- dmhauser2007 (2/5): Crude customer service by hotel staff and hotel area manager - My wife and I, both silver members of this hotel chain, recently booked a stay at this hotel for a wedding. Upon booking, we received immediate confirmation of our reservation. However, the night before our arrival, I was unable to find our reservation on the Marriott app. Upon contacting the hotel, we were informed that our reservation had been canceled due to an expired credit card on file—a detail we were never notified about, despite receiving the initial confirmation.
We escalated the matter to the area manager, Kelly, who stated that nothing could be done and blamed us for the oversight. Despite our loyalty to the brand and frequent usage of their services, we received no prior notification of the cancellation, contradicting Kelly's claims. After talking to Kelly about finding a possible solution and being super nice and respectable on the phone, Kelly told us it was our fault and that she was busy and hung up on us. Regrettably, due to this experience and the lack of accountability from management, we are compelled to seek accommodations with other hotels in the future. This incident highlights significant shortcomings in customer service that need to be addressed
- ebrotman (10/5): Service over-and-above - I have been staying at this property with my team for business meetings for several years, and it continues to be a terrific experience. The location right off the highway and walkable access to several nearby restaurants makes it the perfect place for us to stay.
On this trip, one of the Marriott employees went well above and beyond to make my stay more pleasant. I came downstairs to get some work done in the lobby and it was after the hours when breakfast was being served. I asked a gentleman where I could get a cup of coffee, and he informed me that this property and the Marriott next door stopped serving coffee at a specific hour, but also asked me how I like my coffee. He then went next door, and prepared a fresh cup of coffee for me. This felt like no small gesture, so I asked his name. His name is Cedric, and I hope someone from Marriott and/or this property sees this review - he is a gem of an employee and deserving not only of my "thanks," but of Marriott's as well. THANK YOU!
- Mickella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Calupi (10/5): Location is unbeatable - Perfect location! Hotel is clean and staff is nice. Breakfast is really good!
- Jimmie (10/5): - The property was very nice and good for what I needed
- Anne (10/5): - This was my first time staying at a Residence Inn and I was impressed. The entire facility was very clean and we liked the set up with having 2 separate rooms. The living area was very spacious. The breakfast was enjoyable and had a lot of variety. We also used the pool a couple of times, which the kids enjoyed. There were a lot of restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
- Viren (10/5): - Great service, clean
- Kathleen (10/5): - Property was quiet, comfortable, clean and location was perfect. Walking to shopping and dining.
- Dave (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Shari (1/5): We addressed leaving the hotel early and not staying the scheduled time. - Location The cleanliness and the waiting time for a scheduled check in,which happened a hour later. The staff were rude and unprofessional as well as inattentive.
- aberfitchgr534 (10/5): Clean & Quiet Stay - We were in Cincinnati visiting Motorboat garage with our boat club and this area was close by so I decided on this hotel because we are Marriott Members and we were staying with points and it was a bit less points then the Courtyard right next door. I am so glad we picked here. The hotel was so quiet, the room was super modern, clean and updated. We had the Studio which had a nice big King Bed, Desk, Nice Sofa & a Full Kitchen. We were only staying a night but if you were in town for an extended stay this kitchen would be awesome had everything you would need. Bathroom had great lighting with a nice vanity and a huge walk in shower. It even had a makeup removing wash cloth which i always bring my own and have never seen a hotel with these. What a nice touch. I was just super impressed for this being a mid range Marriott brand it's one of the nicer hotels we have been to for a residence inn. Would 100 % stay here again. The area would also be great if you didn't want to drive as there are tons of restaurants around you could walk to and its easy access to the highway. My only ding would be parking, its self parking $10 a day in the garage or valet $14 a day. I personally just like parking lots but this is what you get in big cities. If you need a clean, quiet hotel this is a great option.
- Mandi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Asim (6/5): Pleasant -
- Eric (4/5): - After driving 11 hours in a snow storm, for a trip that normally takes about 8, when trying to check in I was told by the employee they were locked out of the system. I could not believe I was asked to follow the employee to the adjacent hotel to try that system. That did not work, so we proceeded to the original property where I had to fill out a sheet of paper and more on my credit card as a room holder. This seems like a really “poor” backup. These employees may have been following company policy, but this policy seems very cumbersome to the customer.
My Daughter and I come to Cincinnati at least twice a year and normally choose to stay at the corresponding Hotel. This trip was frustrating, speaking conservatively. I understand circumstances, however, I would hope the next trip, if I do decide to give this place a second chance, I hope we have more favorable results.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Wood (10/5): Exceptional -
- Holly (10/5): - Nice / very quiet.
- Spencer (10/5): Exceptional -
- nardau (4/5): Surprised by some staff members level of service and responses. - When we arrived we requested connecting rooms. The person checking is in told us there are no connecting rooms at the hotel.
Since I’ve had connecting rooms at the hotel, I knew this not to be the case and I pushed on. Then she said it was because of the type of room we booked but she would leave a note for her manager.
The next morning I went down and spoke with Alex, he was able to explain in less than 30 seconds why we couldn’t just pay to upgrade to connecting rooms - the other 1/2s were occupied during my family’s week stay. Ok, easy to understand not sure why the person before just could share the same information.
In the evening my husband went to ask the front desk about cleaning up the garbage (dirty diapers, beer cans in floor, just bags of garbage) from the hallway. He pointed out for safety & health it should be removed. Two of the garbage bags had been there for over 24 hours. She told him that there would be no service till housekeeping. He asked if she wanted to see the pictures but she repeated nothing would get done.
Alex, great staff member. Personable and able to communicate. Wish others would learn from Alex.
