- Angel (1/5): I can't rate this BECAUSE I STAYED IN MIAMI HOTEL NOT HERE, SO NO RATE . -
- Serhii (10/5): -
- Manuel (6/5): Okay - Staff was nice hotel was clean breakfast was yummy pool was clean and water temperature comfortable location was great. No car needed around this area. I did have a couple of bad things happen. I was there for 6 days and our room was cleaned only 1 time even with me letting them know. I was told rooms were cleaned every other day- that didn't happen. Also I requested a playpen/crib when I reserved 3 weeks before stay, once I checked in they said it was available on my 2nd day- that never happened. Also the power would go out thru out the day, it would be back within minutes but when you have children watching TV while your getting ready... we'll it took about 10mins for tv to do it's restart. So it was a bit of an inconvenience.
- LukeHaines96 (8/5): Decent stay, wouldn’t rush back - Overall, a decent stay. The facilities and the rooms have everything you need and may want. The interior is kept well and the pool area is sufficient, but has a cool view! The hotel is located 2 minute walk from beach, although there’s no real sea view rooms if that’s what you want. The bar closed earlier than I would have expected, easy money maker to stay open later. They have a small convenience store next to check in desk with a few food/drink and essentials items, reasonably priced. Front desk and housekeeping friendly enough. The valet team were excellent, especially the young lady very friendly and efficient. The included breakfast seemed to be for everyone, everything was disposable plates, cutlery, cups, food offering was okay but do not come with high expectation.
It’s probably more suited for young couple than a family
- 856calliew (10/5): Awesome bar tender - Zach Haywood bar tender was amazing having humor and caring for everyone. He’s extremely personable and made my experience amazing!

- slJ8677RJ (10/5): Nice place, good location, friendly and helpful staff @hotel and valet - Good location for beach access. Pool had nice view of bay/marina.
Rooms were very roomy - nice layout, large.
Service was great! Very friendly staff at front desk.
Free breakfast was good. Many options. As a vegetarian, they had a veggie option for breakfast - garbanzo bean, pea, carrot mix, it was very good.
Valet parking - @Laila was amazing! Very helpful, friendly and quick.
Only complaint would be on the west side, room was noisy - there was an outdoor bar across the street - loud music late into the evening.
- erickamL5395PZ (10/5): Laila Valet Service Set the Tone for Our Trip” - We had an amazing first visit to SpringHill Suites Clearwater Beach, and Laila at valet truly made it special. She was incredibly courteous, welcoming, and went above and beyond by recommending great spots for us as a couple. Her customer service was exceptional and set the tone for our entire stay. Laila is a true asset to the team—thank you for making our trip memorable
- Oleksii (10/5): - The hotel is fantastic! It is clean, beautiful, and comfortable, with good breakfasts and a convenient location.

- Excursion598145 (10/5): Great experience from beginning to end. - Worked with Lisveth Gonzales Ramerez who did the most amazing job of helping me plan a last minute Welcome Reception at the hotel the night before my son’s wedding. Her & her staff went above & beyond to ensure we had a wonderful & delicious event. Thanks again.
- erinv459 (10/5): Amazing 😍 - We stayed here for 5 days and could not have loved it more!
Room was clean and modern. Breakfast was so good. Pool and gym beautiful and clean. 5 minute walk to beach and a street full of everything such a vibe!
Only warning - watch out for the laundry if you use your phone! We accidentally paid for $25 as it was pre set as most popular and we only needed 1 wash 1 dry
- JonathonR211 (2/5): I completed every step of Marriott's pre-authorization process. The manager refused to look at it. - If you're thinking about booking a room here for someone else, I have a fun story for you.
I booked a room for my cousin by calling the property directly, paying over the phone with my Mastercard, and then completing a third-party credit card authorization through Marriott's SertiFi system. If you're not familiar, this is Marriott's own process for exactly this situation. You're paying for someone else's stay and you want everything covered before they arrive. I grew up in Clearwater and I wanted my cousin to have a great beach trip without worrying about a thing. That is, I thought, what the hospitality industry is for. "All Charges" authorized, tied to the reservation, signed and filed five days before check-in. He should have walked up to the front desk and gotten a key.
Instead, he was told nothing was on file. His personal card was swiped. I was on the phone during check-in. I had to step out of a business meeting for this. I told the employee directly that there was a SertiFi authorization in the system. He refused to look, and he refused to escalate to someone who could.
Two days later I learned why there was no escalation. That employee was the Assistant General Manager, Jose Torres. He volunteered this himself: "I was the one that checked you in." So now I'm talking to the person who did this, about the fact that he did it. He then told me the authorization only covered room and tax. It does not. "All Charges" is checked, "Room And Tax" is not. These are checkboxes on a two-page form. I told him he was wrong. He refused to pull it up in his own system to verify. I could only jot down so many notes as he spoke, but I think among the litany of excuses were 'I didn't have time' and 'the form was confusing'. The two page, standard form, from Marriott, that his hotel reservations team sent him five days before checkin.
So then he changed course again. This time he told me it was policy. Not a mistake, not an oversight. Policy. His words: "What I said to you that day is that I needed to see the credit card." I want to make sure the trajectory of this story is landing, because it is remarkable. First the authorization didn't exist. Then he didn't have time. Then it existed but it was confusing. Then it only covered room and tax. Then actually he knew about it all along but it's hotel policy to ignore it. So many different explanations, each one contradicting the last, each one delivered with the absolute confidence of a man who is not going to open his own computer and check. He then made it personal, and hung up on me.
Three separate Marriott employees (a corporate agent, a property manager, and a reservations supervisor) all confirmed the authorization was valid and had been in the system since April 4th. The only person who couldn't seem to find it was the AGM who swiped my cousin's card instead.
I'm an engineering director. I spend a significant part of my professional life as the interface between my organization and our customers. When something goes wrong, I own it, I fix it, and I make sure the customer walks away feeling better than when they called. I don't tell the customer their paperwork doesn't exist, make up what it says when that doesn't work, announce that ignoring it is company policy, insult them, and hang up. That is a novel approach to service recovery, and I would not recommend it.
Keep in mind, for two days before that call, the property had been directing me back to Torres as the escalation contact. For a complaint about Torres. I'll let you sit with that one.
The General Manager has since acknowledged in writing that I took the correct steps and the authorization should have been honored. I appreciate that. It is now a week later and Torres is still in his guest-facing leadership role at this property.
If you're booking for someone else through Marriott's third-party authorization process, I would call this property first and confirm... specifically, by name... that whoever is working the desk that day will actually honor it. I would not have booked here had I known I'd be spending the better part of a week persuading a 20-year hospitality veteran to read checkboxes on a two-page form his own reservations team had me fill out.
- V6242WMdanielr (10/5): Prime Clearwater Beach Experience - Stay was awesome, in a prime walking location and very easy to get in/out of the beach if you have a car.
Service from Riley at the valet was second to none.
Thank you Riley and SpringHill Suites team!

I want to thank the wonderful valet team especially to Eric. He was so friendly and helped us with finding good restaurants and things to do in Clearwater. I truly wish all people that service the public were as nice and helpful as the staff and valet of Springhill Marriott. I will definitely be back!!!!

- P3288JYsherryb (10/5): Went to Florida for vacation and spring training baseball - Out standing very nice place to stay for our vacation
- Bryan (10/5): -
- franfJ609TJ (10/5): Best bartender in Clearwater - We really enjoyed spending time with friends at the Springhill Suites Lobby Bar. Zach was an excellent bartender and very attentive. His friendly disposition made everyone feel welcomed and is the reason we would meet here before dinner and then end our day with a nightcap here. Zach is a superstar and I wish him the best in his future endeavors!!
- godzuki24 (8/5): Very Nice Property, busy spot. - The Springhill Suites is a fantastic spot for a quick beach getaway on Clearwater Beach. The location is fantastic with beach access being about as easy as one, two, three (an easy walk through Surf Style and you're on the powdery white sand). Everyone raves about breakfast, and its good to be sure. However, it is the service that makes the breakfast great. Clean, efficient and plentiful because the staff is on top of things. With the crowds they get, I would have assumed a nightmare of a mess at the waffle makers 30mins after opening. Not the case, because there are FOUR plus staff making sure they are clean after each use. This may seem like a trivial thing to share on a review, but I've got kids- IYKYK.
Front desk staff are a little overwhelmed as they are asked to carry out several duties. A little frustrating to have a Bonvoy/Elite line that isn't attended to. Membership and repeat business comes with perks, and this location falls short in meeting them. That said, the front desk staff is asked to handle both Springhill and Residence Inn reservations and check ins. They are also supplying beach/pool towels to guests coming and going all day and night. This may not seem like too much additional responsibility, but in a small area that is logistically stupidly planned, Keven and his staff try their hardest.
Rooms are fairly standard, but decorated in a chic, tropical vibe. If you get a balcony room, its a nice break from the norm. Sunrise views are tremendous. Just remember to close your shades if you don't want to be woken up. The bathrooms were designed poorly with nearly every guest complaining about their shower doors basically spilling out to the floor and needing towels to sop up the mess.
Parking is valet only, but on Clearwater Beach, the parking fee at the Marriott is actually pretty reasonable.
Noise. Some reviews complain about the noise from the bar next door. The bar is noisy because Clearwater Beach is so quiet. The noise died down each night around 10pm, so if you have little ones, make sure your room is on the north side of the building. Otherwise, just enjoy the liveliness of the bar and wait till 10pm.
The pool is nice, and has very nice water views from the deck. Chairs/lounges are gobbled up after breakfast, so make sure you get there early if you plan on laying out for a while.

- sandralQ9289BW (10/5): Excellent location, stellar service, and luxurious - Wonderful and luxurious hotel, for a nice birthday weekend for my mom. It was just my mom and I celebrating her 84th birthday.
Check-in was super stellar and prompt and we can say...everything was top notch. We loved:
The entire room, the complimentary, breakfast, the pool, the luggage holding, and most important...the stellar staff and the location.
I highly recommend to all coming to Clearwater Beach, and will come again on my next visit.

- T165BJpams (10/5): A wonderful first time trip to Clearwater Beach - Our first trip to Clearwater and it was amazing even with the chilly weather. The hotel is a nice central location and is very close walking to the beach. We felt welcome from the start, special thanks to the Valet Manager Brian and his team. We will definitely be back, thank you for some much needed relaxation.
- Stephanie (10/5): Everything was great. Our room was fantastic. Reception and breakfast folks were wonderful. - All was well!
- Rebeka (3/5): -
- Brian (9/5): Great location to the beach, & comfortable place to stay after the sun & sand - We enjoyed the size of the room, it's nice to have king bed & room to spread out some as well. The bed was comfortable & the room was clean & neat.
We usually stay at Hilton chains because they are pet friendly & offer breakfast. We actually liked the breakfast at Springhill Suites Marriott better.
They had bold hot coffee for me, & cold brew for my hubby that he really liked. There were 4 waffle makers, which I thought was so smart of them for busy mornings. Everything thing else was very tasty as well. We also saw that they are pet friendly if we ever wanted to bring our pup with us when we go down to Clearwater. We like the location of this hotel. It's so easy to walk to anything got want to visit on the Clearwater Beach strip & the beach is obviously right there as well. We will definitely stay here again.
- Matthew (9/5): We would love to return someday - Breakfast was ok and the location was awesome The eggs could've been less overcooked, and checkout at 11 was rushed
- clive (10/5): -
- orazio (7/5): -
- Julissa (6/5): - That we had to pay an outrageous amount daily for parking even though we didn’t leave everyday we were there. And it was not advised to us prior to booking that there was a charge for Valet parking.
- Pamela (5/5): - There was no kitchen and the shower had no handle to close it when you step in. Shower floor very slippery. The staff told me to put a towel down I would not slip.
- Daniel Felipe (10/5): -
- Matthias (8/5): - Nice well trained staff, great location, near the beach Loud music outside in the evening, ball games in the pool
- valerie (7/5): It was avery good stay but need to be better for a Springhill hotel. - The location was Great, the valet was great and the staff was great The room furniture was old ,used and really dirty. The fridge didn't work, the sink was broken and the outlets by the bed didn't work. Floor was stained in room 659 and room 661.
- Hadrien (7/5): - Breakfast was not good. I still don't understand why we use plastic spoons/fork/knives..? The amount of waste generated is incredible.

The pool was warm and clean, and the breakfast was delicious with lots of healthy options.
Our room was stylish, comfortable, and spotless.
A special thank you to the cleaning lady, Teresa — she’s incredibly kind and does an amazing job. Staff like her truly deserve to be appreciated!

- Julie (10/5): It was a perfect getaway from the winter weather in Iowa. - We loved the breakfast options. Overall the location is perfect; everything you need is within walking distance (restaurants, shopping, beach, boat tours). The room had a small refrigerator and a microwave. We enjoy having the desk and sofa as seating options in the room.
- Melat (10/5): - The property was very clean and organised The pool should be open longer
- Pedro (7/5): - Confortavel, limpo, otima localizacao

- Joseph (5/5): Not a good experience with my family - Breakfast was good. I paid for a balcony and had the pleasure of staring at a rundown closed hotel with an empty pool. I'm sure they had other good rooms available that actually had a water view. Such a shame for the closed down hotel but it does effect Springhill suites. Room was nice. Staff very hard to understand at the front desk. When someone is hard to understand I totally ignore what they are saying. Probably will not go back to that hotel. Have English speaking employees behind the desk. We are in America... speak the language Said it all in above comments. Tried to be nice about it

- Tatiana (1/5): - Nothing BEWARE!!! I booked a King Suite 2 weeks in advance and prepaid through Booking.com. When I arrived, the hotel only offered valet parking. Be aware: the $41 valet fee is buried in fine print and not displayed clearly anywhere, not worth it.
When I got to my room, it was NOT the room I paid for. They moved me without notifying me to a smaller Queen Suite with two small beds. When I confronted the front desk, they admitted the room I paid for was “not available,” meaning they gave it to someone else. Let me guess… someone who booked directly with them for more money. Absolutely unacceptable!
I asked the boy at the front desk why no one had contacted me because I could have booked somewhere else. The front desk claimed they “didn’t have my information.” That is a lie! Booking.com confirmed they absolutely sent the guest info.
The room is not what I paid for, small beds and uncomfortable, the balcony “view” was terrible an abandoned, rundown hotel next door. The room also had dirty towels, which is another red flag for their cleanliness standards.
They refused to correct the situation and only offered free parking. That is NOT an acceptable solution when you downgrade a prepaid room without permission! This is misleading, dishonest, and feels like fraudulent business practice.
I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone!!! They trick customers into paying for rooms they don’t actually hold for them.
- Fernando (9/5): Excelente - Muito bom Hotel! . Voltaria!
- Sarah (4/5): Wa waaaa - The area was chill The view was the pool so don’t overpay for a view. The front desk guy Kevin hates people. There’s zero healthy food-100% processed. Feel gross. The renovation is a joke! Very low brow. Surprised this was Marriott
- Małgorzata (7/5): Poniżej godności marki Marriott - Dostaliśmy upgrade - pokój z balkonem i ładnym widokiem .
