Guest Reviews
- Mario (8/5): - Nice facilities. Clean and convenient location. The only drawback was that there was no AC in the room just central in the building so it got hot at night inside our room. Staff was nice and very friendly. Transportation options were excellent
- Oludare (2/5): - I showed up, and my bed had hairs on it. The location was dirty feeling and looking. And the woman who was mopping the floor sprayed chemicals by my feet and also mopped my feet when I was waiting in the common area.
- Michael (10/5): - This is my go to stay in San Jose. The staff is lovely, the beds are comfortable, the area is great, and the vibe is relaxed. I have nothing at all bad to say about this place and I plan to stay here many more times when I pass through San Jose.
- Sidney (10/5): - Very helpful staff. Quiet area but not too far from the center.
- Michael (10/5): Great! - Amazing Hostel!
- khanh (10/5): Love it - Great hostel. Far away from downtown. But downtown isnt that nice. Can uber there. They have tour pamphlet there if you like. Have a QR cide with local things to do around. Enjoy the quietness too.
- Michael (8/5): - Simple efficient stay on arrival to SJ
- Wassim (10/5): - Highly recommend!
- stefanie (10/5): 3 night stay - We stood here for 3 nights and it was super cozy and very comfortable. We got the private room and shared the Br with one other room, everything was kept clean and the space is beautiful ! There’s plenty of space to hang out,work/homework and the kitchen is a cute space with great espresso!
- Brianna (8/5): Nice stay for one night - This was a nice place to stay for one night to catch an early flight. The hostel had shared space that included laundry, a couple of lounging areas, and bunk beds. There was also an option to rent a private room with a shared bathroom, which is what we did. It was pretty clean and relatively quiet. The area itself seemed a tad sketchy. All of the surrounding buildings had fenced in garages and barbed wire gates. I wouldn’t spend an extended amount of time here, but to and from the airport was okay.
- Anton (10/5): - Easy to find and close to downtown. Not much shopping or dining in walking distance but just a short bus/uber ride to town. Staff was friendly and bilingual. They were knowledgeable about a host of activities and could help explain local customs. My room was clean and secure. Other guests seemed okay but i didnt socialize much.
- Luis (8/5): - Located in nice and quiet neighbour. Great place to chill after a long haul flights. Very friendly staff! Would stay again.
- Wayne (10/5): - Very nice one night stay. In a chilled out residential area that is close to Sabana Park and not far from the centre of San Jose.
All the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Capital is wonderful small hostel. Nearby to several small shops and eatery. Mini market nearby. Bus stop nearby. Buses every 20 min. The staff is excellent.
- Monika (10/5): - Staff from AM and PM both were very nice and helpful. Place is safe and rather quiet for San Jose, except louder than La Fortuna where we had arrived from. Overall, super cute and affordable hostel, would def. recommend!
- Anna (10/5): - lovely hospitality, beautiful setting, nice and clean, 20 minute walk to main area! felt safe and secure. Ill be back
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It’s a very lovely place to stay while visiting San Jose. Thanks so much for such a great hospitality.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Maria and the staff were amazing. I felt at home and cared for as a solo traveler. I need to use American Express to pay for my reservation and they went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Would absolutely stay here again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The place is very clean and well designed. I like how quiet the location is, while being not far from the city centre.
- BalbinoMajano (10/5): - This is the best hotel I ever stayed in. It was a very lovely place. I met the manager the next day after my arrival and she was so willing to help me planing what to do. I am so thankful for that. The place is very clean the rooms very confortable. I dont really know if it was a buffet breakfast but I ate until I could no more and it was delicious too. I definitely recommend this place and definetely will stay here since again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Staffs are friendly. The place is safe. - Breakfast is free and very good. They served different one every morning and coffee during breakfast is unlimited.
- Alberto (10/5): The Best Hostel in San Jose - You won't find a better place to relax and enjoy what the city has to offer. Everything is super organized and clean and the staff will assist you in any way possible. They are truly wonderful and so is the hostel don't go anywhere else and stay at Capital.
- Helen (10/5): Located in quiet neighborhood - This was my first experience staying at a hostel and it was a pleasant experience. It was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. A basic breakfast was served every morning. I would recommend taking a bus downtown or driving yourself, for it's not extremely close. The bus system is fairly easy to navigate. The location of the hostel consists of residential homes and offices with a few tasty restaurants nearby.
