Brett (8/5): - The hotel was very well maintained, and the staff were friendly. The food was very good. The only thing to be noted is that the hotel would be ideal if you had your own transport. There is nothing in the immediate vicinity and this meant having to call for a tricycle every time you wanted to go out. Not a great drama but for a group of 3 or more this can be problematic. Overall we had a great time. Thank you

We had a very good experience with Wi-Fi the quiet surrounding, elevator, dining That was pretty good. There was only one issue….. some of the foreigners were chainsmokers around the restaurant which kind of bugged me.

There’s plenty of parking if you have a rental The only downside is it’s a little far from Alona beach so we used a Tuktuk service that cost 200 pesos one way so factor that expense when you go there. They also offer bike rental if you’re up to it, better way to go around.

I would say a motorbike is needed but I would still consider a great location as it really gives you the feeling of island life. We loved the pool, the rooms and complex were cleaned and maintained regularly. Really helpful staff too! We hope to be back in the future!
Michelle (6/5): - The first room given to us had a plugged toilet and the heater was not working. We got lucky they had one vacant room, as per the “manager/ person in charge” the one guest checked out early otherwise we would have been stuck in that same room. The rooms was big, nice and clean except for the bed mattress, not the greatest, not comfortable to sleep. Also, there was no hair drier, you will have to bring your own if you would like to have your hair dry faster. We also noticed mostly foreign older maybe single mens were booked in that same hotel or maybe it was just a co-incident, but I still think it’s a sketch. I also noticed they didn’t have any With regards to foodyou are wanting to quickly grab a bite on the go, you will have to get a toktok and pay 200 pesos one way to go to town by the Alona beach. We tried the restaurant in the ground floor, fish we ordered was good but the coffee we ordered was served in a very small tiny mini cup, not enough if you are a big coffee person.

JAMES (10/5): - We originally planned to stay 1 week, loved it so much we stayed 3 weeks. The staff was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable, not updated but perfect for our needs. There is a restaurant on the property, lots of choices, great food and reasonable prices. A large pool, with shaded areas with lounge chairs. The location is only 10-15 min by scooter to Alona beach. You can also rent scooters on property. I highly recommend, we will.be back.

Ga Yoon (8/5): - 조용하고 cozy한 숙소인 것은 맞습니다만, 첫 날 외의 어메니티 리필, 생수 리필이 없던 것이 가장 아쉬웠습니다. 헤어 드라이어, 전기레인지, 커피 포트가 없습니다. 방은 시원하고 쾌적하며 이불이 조금 얇아 저녁에 추울 수 있습니다. 수영장은 생각보다 깊고 넓으며, 저녁에는 죽은 벌레가 떠다닐 수 있습니다. 물론 낮에는 직원이 계속 관리하기 때문에 깨끗하게 관리됩니다. 이따금 정전이 발생하기도 하는데 이 때문에 엘레베이터에 한 번 갇혔었네요...;; 그 외에 모든 서비스는 가격 대비 최상의 만족감이었으며, 호텔 직원에게 툭툭이를 불러달라고 할 수 있고 픽업서비스를 제공하고 있으니 참고하세요. 위치는 두말루안 비치가 가장 가까우나 접근성은 떨어집니다

We had just come from staying at the Bellevue Hotel, which is a five star hotel, and we were very pleased with the staff, the cleanliness, and the room. One of the biggest benefits was that there were no roosters who crowed during every minute of daylight by the Sunville like there was at The Bellevue. The Sunville's restaurant had delicious food and the courtyard and pool, though smaller than the Bellevue's, were very nice. A fabulous place for a quarter of the price! The neighborhood surrounding it was average--no worse than the neighborhood around The Bellevue, so I'm not taking any stars off for that.

The friendliness and attention to detail far surpasses hotels charging 3 times or more. Kudos to all the staff. We have and continue to receive top notch service, meals and assistance with local travel. To top off the stay, is the setting with palms, pool and lush greenery. The owner is congratulated on a having a great resort welcoming and friendly resort. You will love it.

Its far from the beach and Tagbilaran but it's quiet with a great pool that makes it great for chilling after a day of exploring.

Jean-Paul (4/5): - The room is very basic. Bed mattress is of the cheapest quality possible, and the pillow like stone. they did not even provide a blanket, just polyester bedsheet! No room safe (the room attendant told us they "lost the key of the safe") We asked for additional pillow they will not provide (even though afterward we got one more pillow) Washroom is old, plumbing beaten up and rusted, dirt marks everywhere. the restaurant food is of poor quality. the service staff is uncourteous, they never smiled, makes you feel totally unwelcome. I brought in my coffee press with me and asked for hot water, they told me its not allowed. The only nice persons there were the check-in administrative personnel. Finally, the beach and restaurants in Panglao (Alona beach area) are at least 20 minutes scooter ride. Very far. If you don’t have a scooter, you will be paying lots of money for transportation. I would recommend avoiding this place altogether. It doesn’t even deserve two stars. I have been to many hotels in the Philippines, this is the worst, mot unwelcome place I have visited.
Verified traveler (6/5): Don't avail tours and tricab - Such a shame that they overcharge for some services. I suggest you look for tour options in Alona beach rather than using the service of the hotel - they add unreasonable amount on top of the actual cost of tours. They also get kickbacks for tricabs, so if you find a tricab in the area, I suggest to just deal with them directly rather than the hotel.

I tested the connection in our room at over 80 MPS, which was 5x anywhere else we’ve been in the islands. Staff is excellent. Food was great, and the pool is wonderful. The only negative were the ants that were everywhere and made lying by the pool very uncomfortable.

The resort is top notch and the price is unbelievable. The swimming pool is hands down the biggest and best in Panglao. Also the new concrete road leading there is almost complete and that’s a new big plus. The staff will call a tricycle to pick you up anytime you want to go to the beach and it’s only 200 peso. Like their night guard he will tell you that its time to close the pool as they gonna put chlorine to the point that its not 9pm yet. And if your having fun at the poil area we need to minimize our laughed as some tenants fall asleep around 8 pm. To think that we as a guest knows what their rules and regulations and for me you don't need to tell to your guest to minimize our laugh because we knew what time and we're not the only guests at the hotel. There are some of complaints that I complained about there shower,before I booked the hotel first thing I need to checked is the shower if they have water heater but they don't have and they never do an action for what my concern. If they lost an item in the room it is so quick for them to have an action as they are scared to pay,to think think that they didn't have any stuffed tgat they lost. Like a big basket like a serving tray. When I arrived at the hotel they don't have it inside the room but they are so quick to asked me as a guest which I can understand as tgey don't want to pay for it but my point is they are not fast to fixed my concerns in my room but they are so fast to ask if there are missing Some of the stuff are rudes like if the rooms open they just gonna enter the room to checked a tiny complaint without knocking the door and they won't approach you that they are the person to checked the tiny complaints and leave without letting you know.

Verified traveler (8/5): - If your idea of heaven on vacation is isolation and a giant sized swimming pool, then this is the place for you😊. The rooms are large and comfortable but there are no complimentary toiletries, no tea making kettle and complimentary water is at water fountains that are quickly emptied by other guests and you have to request it gets refilled. The restaurant is excellent and not too pricey. The portions reflect German ownership of the site, being generous. The gym is equipped with a small range of dumbells, a barbell, 2 work stations of some vintage, and cardio exercise machines. We used all and especially the table tennis. A weak point,and I say this as an instructor and fitness expert, there needs to be aircon in the room. Serious training cannot be undertaken without serious health risks in the high temperatures we experienced there. The pool is marvellous but again a vefy serious lmissikn is the lavk of life guards. At night time as the pool lights switch to darker colours it was impossible to see people underwater or on the surface. The access track is very rough and it takes more than 10 minutes to reach the shops or beach in Panglao village itself. All in all, we will revisit, but come better prepared for the situation. The AC was amazing. I wish they had a microwave in the room but the restaurant was so good down stairs it didn’t matter. The view from the porch was peaceful and the pool was beautiful. One warning - the road into sunshine is the only really really negative aspect. It’s rough- and not a little rough but like climbing a jagged mountain of giant glass rough. Grzegorz (10/5): Fantastic clean hotel recommended to everyone - Our stay in sunshine village was fantastic.very comfortable room w balcony and facilities.pool was super clean and big.nice restaurant,bar with snooker table and mini soccer.plenty of international tv channels.very friendly reception staff.we hired scooters for reasonable price as transportation is a must due to some distance to main road or Alona beach.highly recommended.very good price for quality.
Swimsuit (8/5): - Staff were very friendly and kindly helped with contacting drivers for vehicles or tricycle pickup. Office sells basic supplies and snacks. Bar soap, towels, and toilet paper are provided. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner or purchased at the little store in the office. The twin beds and pillows in our room were made of some sort of foam. I slept so well- pleasantly surprised at the comfort. If you get cold at night, ask for another second sheet. I slept fine, but my travel partner needed an extra sheet and didn't sleep well the first night due to feeling cold. The swimming pool was nice. The restaurant had a decent selection of food and was very convenient (especially considering the dirt road and the distance to nearby restaurants and shops for fruits/snacks) Currently there's a long dirt road leading to the hotel, which will eventually get paved when the airport and on going hotel construction are complete. Construction noise was a little distracting when we played lazed in the hotel room during the late morning/afternoon hours.
Joel (4/5): Not a lively place to stay. - Hotel is located too far from everything. It is a place for people who wants just to sleep on their vacation. We were supppsed to stay their for 4 nights, but we checked out first thing in the morning after the first night. The restaurant food was great, and the hotel staffs were helpful and friendly. Great people but the location is just dead. If you want a lively place to stay in Panglao Island, book yourself a place at Alona Beach.

James (6/5): Nice hotel but still needs some improvement, - Nice hotel but still needs some improvement, When we arrived staff are pleasant & helpful, the food at the restaurant is great but they tried charging me for 2 bottomless coffees when I only ordered 1 & had only requested 1 refill tho it was corrected upon querying it. The road is very bumpy and dusty & when we were leaving someone had parked right behind our car blocking us so we had to wait while the staff found the owner of the car so security needs improvement. The 4th floor is still a construction zone but looks like it's almost done. Make sure to bring cash as we had to make a special trip to an ATM and it's quite far away. Bring your own toiletries as they are not provided also no complimentary welcome drink or water is provided. Overall I would recommend this hotel and will return in the future.
Eya (8/5): New Hotel - Nice hotel bec its still new. Food is good. We just had a terrible experience on our second day when we woke up our hotel room is full of “uod” :( from the garbage outside our room. Good thing the staff transferred us to other room right away. But the experience is sooo stressfull and gross!! :(
edwin (10/5): GREAT PLACE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT VALUE, INSANE POOL. - Once again i return, the road out front is appauling, BUT WILL BE FIXED, Then you wont be able to get in for lack of available nights, as the only thing i can fault this place on is the road into it..... i am at a place not far from Sunshine Village just for a change, and if not for the amount i paid here, i would forfiet and return to Sunshine village, and after the crap breakfast i just had here, i still might do that, LOVE SUNSHINE VILLAGE ! ! !
marvin (10/5): Sunshine Village Resort is great. - We stayed for almost 3 weeks and the whole experience was great. Great environment, great staff, great food, great neighborhood and great service. Friendly people and so relaxing. We feel so at home. We definitely come back soon.
Rob (8/5): Value for Money - Given the disadvantages, I will definitely go back next time I visit Panglao, Bohol. The times spent in the hotel was pleasant and relaxing. Advantage: The resort management has partnership with Tour Agency and motorcycle rental/car hire services. The food served in the restaurant is fresh and appetizing. The lift helped a lot with the luggages and carry-ons. The room has ample storage and the bed is comfortable. Great amenities! Disadvantage: Very poor road condition along Barangay Bolod prior to the entrance of the Inn. Poor and unstable internet connection in the rooms, restaurant and pool area. The resort implements curfew in restaurant orders, pool usage and front desk services. Quite far from the beaches.

edwin (10/5): GREAT PLACE DAMN ROUGH ENTRY. - I have been to many resorts in Phili, but this place is exceptional, unfortunately the road in, is UNBELIEVABLY BAD dosent matter what way you come in, it is tyre destroying bad.. TRULY it is enough to stop me staying again, and that is sad as i love the place, and it has nothing to do with the resort. The food is very good, the pool AMAZING, I CANT SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT THIS PLACE, but horrible that road in.
Bobbee&Marivic (8/5): RARE FIND!!! - We were so surprised finding this rare gem of a "home" away from the famed beach resorts in Panglao. During the 3 days of our stay, we just experienced the pampering in customer service aside from seeing well-maintained facilities. The pool was great, our room with balcony was big, even the bathroom was a bit bigger than normal, and the bed was comfortable. Wi-fi was good and the food choices are very good. Though we were not able to use the gym and the massage service, but we heard they were also very good. All in all we couldn't say anything in our stay except that given the chance of going back to panglao, we would love to stay here again! Kudos to Cherry Mae, Kat, Jane, Marvin and Kringkring and all the other staff who we failed to get the names!!! Thank you all!
steve (10/5): Amazing value and lovely pool area - Great experience here where we extended by an extra night. The pool and restaurant are really nice, with extra facilities like the gym, sports bar and spa a great addition. The staff went above and beyond for me when I got a punctured tyre on our bike rental. They negotiated with the owner 50% to repair and then the hotel refunded me the 50% I had to pay! Beds were okay, air con great, however the bathroom smelt a bit. Overall would recommend and stay again
Yifan (8/5): Nice hotel but far away from the beach - The whole experience is good. Nice pool and speedy wifi, big room. It is quite far away from the alona beach wiht a long bumpy road. Not many drivers want to come into this remote place. If you want a quite place and spend more time in the hotel, it would be a good choice. If you want to spend more time on the beach and sea, you better reconsider. I donno why the staff never cleans my room for three days. Unbelievable.
Dale (10/5): Loved our stay - Really enjoyed our stay. I will say upfront the road into the resort is dirt and will be paved soon as the airport is also being build at this time. Staff was wonderful and helpful. Food was very good and good price. Drinks were excellent. Rooms were not fancy but very clean. At the price your paying, excellent. Pool was excellent. Resort is very well maintained. We would go back.
Verified traveler (8/5): Very Staff and stay. - Rough road going in but understandable since the place still developing. Quiet location good for a family stay, clean pool, and friendly staff. The staff always greet with a smile. Food are nice and reasonable. Rooms are big enough with cable tv and ref. Maybe they need to add staff especially in the restaurant because often times the wait is too long.
lyn and bill (10/5): A great place to stay - It was a bit off road but the hotel was very nice, the room was big and clean, the restaurant has good food, the pool was huge and clean andcthe staff were very nice. They also has a mini grocery and a laundry area. Will surely stay here again
Erik (8/5): Value, but know beforehand - The rooms were nicely arranged and comfortable and the pool was nice. The staff were both friendly and helpful. The beach is not only further than we expected and the road from the Sunshine village to the main road is horrible disrepair. The motor-tricycles had to slow down considerably to navigate those few hundred meters. The food at the restaurant is reasonably priced and portions large. However, look at the number of people eating when you arrive. Apparently four tables or so is when the staff is at full capacity and you can expect slow service. The paella was good and they made it clear on the menu that it would take 30 minutes to prepare. The fried food (I had fish and chips and cordon blue) were a bit overly salty.
