- Lawrence (10/5): Friendly hotel with nice features - The front desk staff was very good. Very helpful and always with a pleasant greeting. They gave you details on the hotel amenities as they share with their "cousin" hotel. Convenient to bus stop to airport, that runs every hour.

- Lauren_W1982 (8/5): Little gem of a hotel - Fabulous little hotel in a great location (just a short walk to Gordon Beach). Great option if you plan on getting the bus to/from airport or any of the Tel Aviv train stations. Quirky interior and lots of plants! I stayed in a room with a balcony, and was really happy during my stay. Rainfall shower was lovely and the communal areas are a great touch (two rooftop lounge areas and a fab little patio area on the ground floor). Hotel was always very clean and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast at Bread & Co is an absolute must! Especially as you have the flexibility of having breakfast up until 5pm. Added bonus of beach towels as well. Couldn’t quite give 5 stars as the communal front door makes a loud beeping sound, which disturbed my sleep a little (I was on the first floor). Plus no tea/coffee making faculties in room (but there is a coffee machine for everyone to use in the patio area). The hotel needs to update its marketing, as there are no bicycles to use or free beers/bubbles. Plus no yoga at the Debra Brown (and I’d even packed my yoga mat). These are minor cons to be honest. But really good value for money and I do recommend

- David (6/5): Quirky clean well priced hotel up a flight or two - This is a quirky little hotel with retro 50s decor, which I adore… it’s only about four blocks from the Gorden Beach, which is my favorite beach so I like the location The price is good in the rooms are comfortable. There are some cons here all of the rooms are upone to three or four flights of stairs. While there is coffee in the lobby… The lady at the front desk said they never have milk that said, how hard would it be to have milk?… Breakfast is not at the site it’s around the corner, and since I was late for a plane, I just went across the street and brought a cappuccino.

- Zoe (4/5): - First you get a heavy awful smell of a cheep cleaning product that make you want to puke. Then you find out that the bed is unleavened. One side is low and soft the other is higher and hard.. I decided to say something. The front desk guy had hard time to understand me, luckily there was a vacancy and I got a different room pretty quick. Then I’ve notice the length of the bed. I’m super short. And I reached the of it. Can’t imagine what other people felt like. Strange enough, when I came to complain about the bed the front desk thought I’m complaining about that. Clearly I’m not the first one to notice.. And the small window in a size of a prison cell. The bathroom had mold on the caulking. I can only hope that the towels were actually washed. Cleaning failed. Feel like a cheep hotel that people come to hookup And this my friends, a perfect example on how the joke is on us, the guests. And how those people get Rich. And their kids wear Gucci clothes while we need to settle for bear minimum. Paying hotel prices while getting cheap hostel rooms.

- Maccabix (10/5): Everything you need from a Tel Aviv Hotel - Everything from the moment I checked in, to the moment I left was faultless. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I asked to be upgraded to a room with a balcony (which I should've booked in first place) and the room was spotlessly clean with a great balcony and décor. I loved everything about the hotel, from it's very central location, design choices to the cost of rooms. I would, and will absolutely stay again when I next come over to Tel Aviv, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you for a great stay!

- stevenbS382VK (10/5): Overall pleasant stay. - Nice place, great location. One caveat - when I booked the room, a couple of months ago, I was told the breakfast was kosher, and it was not. In the interim between when I booked, they moved the breakfast to another place. I complained at the front desk and they arranged for us to have breakfast at the Debra Brown, across the street. which is kosher. The roof is a nice view, the lobby / back patio also nice. Comfortable room.
- Andrew (10/5): Great find not far from the beach! - Incredibly friendly staff, and very warm welcome! There are only two things I would note: - I was unaware there was no elevator at this property. While it was not necessarily a major inconvenience, I was placed on the top floor and had to carry my luggage up 4 flights of stairs to my room. - The signage outside the property could use some improvements, it is somewhat hidden off the road (especially since the reception is in a separate building from the hotel units. Overall, I’d highly recommend any solo travelers and families alike, especially for a budget friendly and optimal location in Tel Aviv!! The staff was beyond friendly, and extremely receptive to my needs.

My only complaint is the walls are fairly thin so if you have people near you that are up late partying you hear it clearly

- world-voyageur18 (10/5): Funky + comfortable hotel - I love this cute hotel! It's a bit funky, I love the style (see the pictures) and the fact that is very comfortable and easy going. The location was great. I came on a business trip and the room was comfortable and I got all what I needed. Around the corner, there is a delicious French bakery and so many restaurants around. I would stay here again.
- iltravellerabroad (4/5): Slightly better than a hostel, worse service - Nicely decorated lobby and the free beer is cute. My room (solo room on floor 4) was small, which I knew in advance, but the decor is sparse - it looks like a hostel room with a single 70s-era piece of furniture, so that they can call it retro. The free bike is a nice idea but half my peddle was missing. Service was not good. They don’t have basics like toothbrush so don’t forget yours. The rooms don’t have coffee, but they have Turkish coffee in the lobby (if you like Turkish coffee). Overall it felt like a hostel with a prettier lobby and worse service. In the future I’d try one of the better Browns maybe.

I am highlighting the professional and warm welcome and the number of included amenities: Court and rooftop where you can sit and chill or work, free beer and popcorn and bicycles at disposal , best way to explore the city!!
- Asya (8/5): - Hotel is definitely unic in presentation and furnishings. Not my style and I did expect to have such a small roomwith just one small corner to hang your belongings. No shelves and no space to place luggage. But the staff was so kind to make our stay better tgat they offer a much bigger room with more furniture and more convinient. Breakfast was very good. Service is outstanding.
- 5vickyb (10/5): A quirky, well located hotel; great value. Amazing staff - This hotel boasts some imaginative and quirky decor, but not at the expense of comfort. Our room wasn't huge, but had a lovely balcony, a good en suite shower and a very comfortable bed. It has a green, shady courtyard, a roof terrace, and a further seating area downstairs. Guests have access to a coffee machine, free beers and popcorn, and the beach is just a short stroll away. Breakfast was served at a sister hotel just across the street and was plentiful and delicious. There's no doubt the place is fun/refreshingly individual, but perhaps better than all of this is the attitude of the staff. They are exceptional. Really helpful, really friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. They transformed our stay from a good one to a memorable one.

They made us feel at home and super welcomed. I can only thank all the staff, especially Marianus (and Maria), for making our stay in Tel Aviv the most memorable and enjoyable one :) THANK YOU!!!! Attentive, funky, received special attention + free programs via the hotel were super fun. There also are a lot of snacks and drinks to consume for guests for free. In the room and in the lobby area as well. Wonderful!!

- D3076BUmikeb (10/5): Funky friendly with great location - Greeted by friendly staff at reception. Shortly after arrival there was a power cut throughout the area. So I availed of the complementary beer, popcorn and coffee in the lobby.. a nice touch. Room was compact but stylish, on 4th floor with no lift due to historic nature of building. Location superb with beach only 4 minutes, and lovely Dizengoff St. 4 mins in other direction. Quirky rooftop garden with views to the sea. Highly recommended

- ThomasLK (8/5): Original ! - It might not be a place for everybody with the "eccentric style", but is was a very pleasant stay. The free beer, soft drink, coffee etc. is a very gentle gesture in a country where all (besides bus-tickets) seems to be above Swiss-price-level........ The dutch guy on the reception is very friendly and helpful. The fact of being near the beach was not that important since it was winter, but a nice stroll on it on the day with a bit sun added to the total impression. The bakery in front of costs the double of Italian prices for the same , but the quality is very good. The court/"garden" could be a bit improved, right now it has a bit too much "charm of a backyard storage" . Fortunately we didn't hear the very noisy A/C-unit from the ground floor, just the construction-work from the road sometimes.

Overall I had a good experience, but there are a few things that can be improved: * The hooks in the bathroom were placed very high, I had to climb the toilet in order to hang my towels. * The bathroom floor definitely wasn't washed before I entered the room, I could see big dark stains on the floor. * The bathroom didn't include a toothbrush cup (not even a simple plastic or disposable one).

The shower is modern and luxurious, no weak points the reception was polite and helpful, and the location perfect - very near Dizengoff, and close to the sea (nice to walk there also in winter)
- Oren (6/5): Nice place, should improve basic things - I liked the vibe of the hotel with retro style. Room is nice also. I had 2 not good incidents: 1. On check in the receptionist refused to give me the room for long time as of payment misunderstanding, but the day after the manager apologize for this and upgrade my room as well as breakfast voucher. 2. In another day there were no hot water one morning. They told there was a problem and it will be back after 1.5 hour... I had to leave for a meeting. Another note: if you offer free donuts and popcorn make sure they fresh and not old. No complaints for the free beer 🍻

- Tcfbdn (10/5): Great place - This hotel is small, clean, located just in the heart of TLV and close to the beach. The price is fair and I would recommend this hotel to anyone as the hotel has several room options. It is also worth mentioning that the rooms are very clean with cable TV and the staff in general and the hotel manager in particular are doing are very kind and helpful. In the lobby you can find free coffee, popcorn and beers.
- Hanan (10/5): A gem in the heart of Tel Aviv - this was such a pleasant suprise. The hotel is in a stellar location in the heart of Tel-Aviv. Seconds away from multiple coffee shops, the beach, bakeries, pubs and galleries. Rooms are ample, clean and in good condition. You won't stay in the room for long periods of time when the city is on your doorstep... Service was excellent, efficient and friendly. Public city parking can be found one block away for reasonable price. I'll be happy to return to this hotel.
- Etienne (10/5): Nice and cool hotel - Nice hotel with interesting artsy deco, well located in a small street, only minutes away from Gordon beach. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. The only minor drawback was a bit of noise from other guests partying in the middle of the night, especially when you have an early flight (wished the door was a bit more soundproof) but that’s Tel Aviv… the room itself is soundproof and nice (except for the door). Nice touch, they offer free local beers to guests (kept in a fridge in the lobby) ! Just for that thoughtful attention I will be back when I’m in Tel Aviv.

- VadimD130 (10/5): Hidden gem near Gordon beach - Hard to beat value for this quirky but fully functional hotel a stone’s throw from Gordon beach. Clean, perfectly located, friendly English speaking staff. Very convenient for a short stay in TA. The only drawback - four flights of stairs with no elevator. Exercise!!

- johnhD7798OJ (10/5): Fantastic hotel, great Location, wonderful staff - We booked our holiday in Israel through a local travel agent and chose this hotel because it looked different from all the chain-hotel clones. We were not disappointed, the hotels decor is quirky, but the room was great, and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The location is great too, a short walk from the beach and close to the shops, restaurants and bars of Dizengoff Street. It was also hand for bus routes serving Old Jaffa and the rail stations (for trips further afield)

- joe (2/5): - THE BAD The main lobby attempts a 1950’s retro-look but is, in fact, a shabby warehouse of discarded furnishings. The rear of the ground floor resembles a bombed-out slum, with a long platform on 4 uneven “legs”, called a “table”, where guests can enjoy their coffee, beer or a smoke. The room decors presume to be “eclectic”; shabby and “neglected” would be more apt descriptions. I sat in the chair of the first room I was placed in, only to have it collapse. The bathroom fixtures were hanging by a thread. The phone was not working and the plug of the nite table lamp was rigged with exposed wiring. My complaint resulted in a move to another room that had a layer of dust on the desk and other horizontal surfaces. The window curtain was only partially hung. I had barely moved into this room only to be told it was, in fact, booked and that I would have to move again. As compensation, I was offered 1 free breakfast at a Brown restaurant, a block away. The third room (again) had bathroom fixtures (such as mirror, toilet paper dispenser) crookedly installed and loosely attached. The sink backsplash and general finishing trims were slapped together, per army-barrack standards. THE GOOD The Staff was pleasant, very helpful and as apologetic as possible, given Brown management’s rush to create an income stream at whatever the market could bear, regardless of the poor condition of the property. I would recommend the staff but not the accommodations. 1 STAR.

Although, they have no cafe facilities themselves, you get first-class breakfasts at nearby tip-top cafes. The young staff, all of them are exceptionally friendly and helpful and all speak very good English. My room was modern and comfortable and the surroundings delightfully quirky. Location is great in central Tel-Aviv. Small, pleasant and enjoyable, although for people with walking issues; there is no lift. - CarlosG. (10/5): - I was very positively surprised with Dave Gordon during my last trip to Tel Aviv. They gave me a free upgrade since the room I booked was subject to an unexpected repair. Room was ample, clean with a comfortable bed and new and clean bedding. Excellent bathroom with ample and clean shower area. New towels and excellent local shower products from a local Israeli supplier. Everything about Dave Gordon was right. The best was definitively its excellent location from where you can get the very best of the city. By the way they also have the best staff ever!

Only down side was I wasn’t able to operate the smaller shower head, only the one above. Perhaps this was my fault. I would happily return in the future.

Loud room. - The pro's: great neighborhood, amazing staff, free coffee in the morning, open-air window and roof/courtyard was a nice amenity, good wifi - all great for the price. Con's: Bed was not comfortable for a multi-night stay. Could hear every little sound outside my room, so make sure you are ready to wear earplugs each night. Could hear housekeeping knocking on every door starting at 7:30 each morning, mine by 9:30am. Bathroom only contained strongly perfumed mens bath products only (not unisex), and no lotion.

- Coree (10/5): Wonderfully hip hotel, in a great location. - Wonderful hotel, clean rooms with a hip and funky vibe. Highly suggest for both business travelers and vacationers. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to a great restaurant and bar district. Its 15 minute cab ride at rush hour to the high rise business district.
- Martin (6/5): - Thin windows—too much of the city comes in. Windows had only blackout curtains, so either dark or fully open to the street and neighboring buildings. Pillows had lumps—not so great. Fun design, seedy-chic in a sense. Lots of red.

We stayed in a room on the first floor and found it to be loud at times (proximity to street level) however, it was clean, comfortable and well appointed.
- Leah (10/5): Hip design, friendly staff, NO ELEVATOR - THIS HOTEL IS NOT ACCESSIBLE - THERE IS NO ELEVATOR AND NO RAMP TO LOBBY DESK. I am a huge fan of the Brown hotel group in Tel Aviv and have been choosing their hotels for five years or so. This has so many of the things that make Brown hotels great - local cafes for breakfast, great design, the signature bookshelf in the lobby and friendly staff. However - the lack of an elevator was a huge problem for me. I arrived late in the day and the only rooms left were on the 3rd and 4th floor. My luggage was heavy with gifts for friends and I would not have chosen a hotel without an elevator if I knew. The room is great - excellent shower, strong wifi, good AC. Hotel is in a very central location - close to beach, shopping and nightlife. But if you have any mobility issues - choose the Brown TLV or Lighthouse.
