The noise, unfortunately we were in a room directly above the bunk house toilets I think and we could hear everything! Very early morning and late at night. Hand dryers, talking, coughing, laughing.

The hotel facilities are very good with a bar, lounge area and good size restaurant. The rooms are a little small and a bit musty. But for a short break on the hill you don't need much more than a bed and a shower.

Thursday Breakfast, polar opposite of previous day, blunt ignorant main host who was rude and short with all guests. Food was not of previous day standards.

- Jacqueline (4/5): - Good breakfast Whilst having a shower, I discovered long hair on the tiles from a previous guest . I reported this to reception, who said I would have to let the owner know the following day . The long hair was not removed but left on the tiles in the bathroom The bed was hard , the room was very small , and there was barely enough room to walk around the bed . The view from the window looked like a dumping ground for rubbish , nothing like advertised on booking.com . After a 6-day tour, this hotel was the most expensive and yet disappointing. The room we stayed in was room 12 . We decided to eat at another hotel after finding the hair left on the tiles, and nothing was done about it . I was also annoyed that even after payment to booking.com , the receptionist wanted our card details .

Car park too small for hotel, nightmare to park close when have luggage. Staff rarely seen on reception and had to wait ages. - Andy (7/5): Glan Aber provided a good base for my trip and catered for al my needs. - Single room was very small but well laid out, clean and with a nicely fitted bathroom. staff were helpful and service was prompt. Breakfast was satisfactory and with good service. Parking is limtted, but that is made clear in the description, and there is sufficient extra parking out back which still has easy access to hotel. Unfortuntaely on one day they were short staffed and one person had to cope with everything on her own. she managed well but it mean there were some delays.

The hotel is perfectly placed for an adventure weekend around Bewtsy Coed and a walk back after any evening meal in the village, obviously drink and dinner at the hotel are great too. Its not luxury, thats not what I went for, but very low priced, its clean comfortable and perfect for an activity weekend. Ive stayed in various rooms, bunk house, apartment and single rooms. I was delighted to see a bath in my single room after a day hiking. However the water was only warm. Staff apologised and didn't charge me for rely dogs to make up for it.

- Oatey (4/5): Incorrect advertising - I loved the location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bunkhouse is incorrectly advertised on booking.com. I booked for 2 people to stay. One bed each. However we ended up with a room each with 2 bunk beds in each room. Paying double.

- Johns (10/5): Such a great place with amazing service and even better rooms! - Everything felt very luxurious straight down to the mattress, you sink right in perfectly just what you need after a Snowdon summit, the bathroom was pristine and the bath was extra spacious with a very nice location too and the steam room and jacuzzi are an amazing feature. Can't fault it at all, only thing I would mention was how small the tv was but when I was in bed I could still make it all out all the same so no real qualms!

No cold water for drinking or filling the kettle. No sink for washing up, had to use sink in the bathroom. Overall, not worth what we paid. Seems like the owner is just trying to squeeze as much money as possible out of the property without considering guest's needs and comfort.

The only thing i would say is the mattress on our double bed could definitely do with an upgrade, very uncomfortable 😬It was a cheap stay and overall much better than expected for the money.... if the mattress had been better I would happily of paid another £50 for the night. The mattress in our family room. Completely flattened when sat on the edge and felt like I was rolling off the side all night.... the saving grace was that id been trekking all day and was completely knackered so still managed to get some sleep.

My room was cold but she offered me a portable radiator that kept me nice and warmed. Breakfast was well presented and delicious. Dinner came in a big portion, nice and fresh with a reasonable price. My most favorite of staying at Glan Aber was a spa room. I wished that I could stay longer but definitely going back and highly recommended. Nothing, all reasonable and well presented.
