Guest Reviews
- Donna (10/5): We will return again! - This is our 4th visit to Art & Breakfast. Enjoying the ample breakfast with fresh fruits, breads, and local specialities in the lovely garden is always a delight. Karin and Gilles are wonderful hosts and make every effort to see to their guests comfort!
- Luigi (10/5): Un paese inaspettato - La proprietaria, Karin, è molto accogliente, ti fa sentire a casa.
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - We love the convenience of the location and really enjoyed the fabulous garden! Key to the back door access from parking area is not provided.
- Loris (10/5): - Grande cortesia e disponibilità. Un eccellente B&B per chi vuole rilassarsi o averlo come base per esplorare il nostro bellissimo Molise.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We stayed in Ripabottoni for only one night to get information about my ancestors. The b & b is a lovely place. Very well kept. Nice bathroom with a great hairdryer. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning works great. The garden is beautiful although we did not have much time to enjoy it. Breakfast was served on the new covered patio and was very substantial. Karin is a wonderful host. We highly recommend this
- Darin (10/5): Authenticity, Beauty, and Comfort - Authenticity is difficult to find, regardless of where one travels. But Art & Breakfast is an exception, and exceptional. Located in a timeless village, Ripabottoni, the charming facility is spotless, comfortable, and peaceful. The multi-lingual hosts, Karin and Gilles, are genuinely caring and quickly put guests at ease. Rooms are large with renovated bathrooms and spacious beds. Karin is quick to arrange any tours and will also provide recommendations for local restaurants, hikes, or cooking demonstrations. Staying at Art & Breakfast is like visiting an old friend...just one you had not met before. Breakfast in the garden is a delight, amongst the beautiful flowers and fruit trees. Wi-Fi service is excellent, and no detail has been spared to create a welcoming respite. With modern conveniences and the beauty of the people and vistas of Ripabottoni, why go anywhere else? It surpasses Tuscany in many respects, except price, and we hope to return to visit our new friends in their true Italian village in the future.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Authentic Italy in a Gorgeous Renovated Home - This was the highlight of my ten day visit to Italy. Karin, the host, has thought of everything. Her home is beautifully appointed, warm and welcoming. A generous continental style breakfast is offered with an assortment of meats, breads, cheeses, pastries, and even a farm fresh egg. On my first night, Karin prepared a lovely meal and made me feel like an honored guest, but it was more like what one would do for a friend. I was introduced to many people and enjoyed an Easter feast at the local trattoria with the restaurant owners' family and Karin, which was a wonderful surprise and a great afternoon.
Take note that she does have a delightful dog.
Very thoughtfully, Karin has added a plush topper to the typically rock hard Italian spring mattress and so this was only one of two places that I stayed where I did not suffer in excruciating pain every night - thank you, Karin!!! The only disappointment was that, like in many other places, the water pressure in the shower was very low. I currently have short hair but anyone with long thick hair can expect to spend some time trying to rinse the shampoo out. This is to be expected in Italy. Only a few places had great water pressure.
The village is quaint. If you are seeking a quiet getaway in an authentic country village, this is it. If you want to have many restaurants to choose from, shopping, etc., you will have to drive to Campobasso. I give this place my highest recommendation. My fondest memories are of this place.
