Guest Reviews
- RICOU (8/5): - La localisation.
- Wolfgang (8/5): - Great location, loved the little courtyard in front to sit outside. The second bedroom is really small! Having no closet, we needed to leave the carryon on the floor and there was hardly space to get around.
There is only one shower in the house, but this bathroom is pretty small, shower right next to the toilet without any door (wouldn’t fit bcs room too small) so bathroom was wet every time someone took a shower.

- Serene C (7/5): Great location for exploring Chania. - Really great location, short walk into Chania Old Town and literally 2 minutes walk from the nearest swimmable beach (which had really warm clear seas and nice sandy beach). Modern property with decent cooking facilities. Walls are very thin and you can hear literally everything happening in the entire property so unless everyone is going to bed at the same time, you will be kept awake by people in other areas of the building. Nearby neighbour somewhere was blasting live music quite loudly which made it hard to sleep. Quite small space for 6 people, probably better to sleep maximum 4. Not the easiest to find parking.

- Francesca (10/5): - La casa è veramente carina come da foto, è a 50 metri dal lungomare e a 5 minuti dal centro storico la consiglio, il posto auto si trova facilmente vicino alla casa
- Megan (9/5): We loved our stay in Evan’s House 2. We walked everywhere and loved the design of the apartment. - Location, proximity to the beach, old town and centre, close to all amenities. Lovely courtyard to each lunch in. We loved the design as well.
- Julia (6/5): Good vacation. - Location Parking
- Katherine (8/5): Nicely renovated place. Good location. - Great location just outside of Old Town. Easy walking distance to Old Town, shops and a restaurants.
- Erin (10/5): A beautiful Oasis minutes from the city centre! - A great oasis just outside of the main streets of Chania. Walking distance to the Old Town, supermarkets and bus stops. The house itself was lovely, had everything we needed. A highlight was being able to sit out in the courtyard for our morning frappe and breakfast. Would recommend Evans House 2 for your stay in Chania! The beds were a little hard for our liking, but this was our only detractor.
- Griffith (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, can walk to everything
- Andrée (8/5): Very good -
- Celina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (9/5): Elegant apartment convenient to Old Town and city. - This is a very tastefully remodeled apartment. Elegant and modern finishes and arrangements throughout. Convenient to both the Old Town and the city. Comfortable beds as well. Address is a bit obscure on arrival. Immediate neighboring building are quite dilapidated. Living room and kitchen area are dark.
- Loïc (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Lana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yasmin (8/5): Very good - Very stylish, great location Bed was a bit stiff
- Patricia (10/5): Beautifully appointed apartment in a great location! - Fantastic location. Cleverly designed and beautifully renovated. The apartment had everything we needed during our stay. Highly recommend! It was difficult to find the first time as it’s down a little alley and doesn’t seem to have a street address. However, that didn’t detract from our stay there.
- Erica (9/5): The perfect Chania stay. - The property is beautifully built with everything you could possibly need. It’s only a stones throw from the beach and old town.
The house was extremely comfortable for our family of 4 with a full kitchen, two bathrooms and a washing machine.
The check in was relatively easy and the hosts communicate well over WhatsApp.
The beach was a 1 min walk away with clear calm water for swimming and there are restaurants and mini Mart within 1 min away. Chania old town is a 5 min walk with so many delicious options.
There’s a gorgeous little courtyard that we used as well to sit out and have drinks. Only small problems but WiFi was terrible and a spare set of pillows for the master would be ideal. The set on the bed were paper thin.
- Hayley (10/5): Would recommend this House - Location, the little court yard, the information given. Nothing
- Helen (6/5): nice home close to all but mould in spa bath was disgusting - met by host several rooms 2 bathrooms close to restaurants bay of water aircon very disappointed with the m9uld in the spa bath ... didn't use it as it was so bad.., reluctantly had a shower in it.... we only chose this site for the spa bath and couldn't use it.
- Marek (10/5): Perfect location in Chania. - Absolutely beautiful apartment with jacuzzi and little bottle of Raki (Greek vodka) as a welcome!
Perfect location for everything in Chania.
Very modern, well equipped, very clean and spacious. We loved that house!
- Bianca (10/5): Perfect stay!🩵 - Everything was amazing! -
- Elspeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eric (10/5): - The property was immaculate. Clean, comfortable and convenient. Walking distance to multitudes of dining and shopping choices. Host was extremely friendly and welcoming. A great property in a great area of Chania. I would stay in same place if I journey back without hesitation.
- Lucrezia (9/5): Superb -
- Megan (10/5): Fantastic location with easy access to everything you might need - The accommodation was comfortable, clean and modern. The people were accommodating- they provided an extra key when we asked for one, and it was cleaned midweek. The bedrooms are on different floors, so they all feel very private. The courtyard was mostly secluded, though a neighbour's window does look out onto it, and it is shared with one other accommodation. The air conditioning worked really well and was easy to control. Each room had its own so could be adjusted to individual needs.
The real bonus was the location. It is central to everywhere you might want to go. The sea is at the end of the road. There are restaurants and bars all along the seafront at the end of the road. Some are better than others, but one of our best meal was at one of these. There is an open air ampetheatre across the street and just up the road the other direction that had live music three of nights we were there. One night it was Dire Straights! The music is pretty loud, so if you go to be early you might check the schedule. There is also a small shop just across the street where you can get snacks and drinks, will slightly larger shopping a couple of blocks away. You can walk along the seafront to get to the old town. This takes10-15 minutes and is an easy walk. The other direction, about 15 minutes away is the Archaelogy museum, which is worth a visit. After I went, I wanted to go back and look at where the items had been found in the old town. Sadly we went on the last day so could not do this. The "beach" with sand at Koum Kapi is very, very small but you can either walk around the point or over the top to get to a bigger area. This other part of the beach is rocky, so best to take footwear. There is a better beach beyond the old town that takes about 40 minutes to walk to, but again this is an easy (flat) walk, or you can take a bus. Loved it. Nothing to say bad about the stay.
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Justine (8/5): Very good - Great location. We also loved the courtyard. It had good bedrooms and bathrooms and the living space was a clever use of a compact space. Could have done with having tea and coffee available.
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): The hosts were extremely accommodating very helpful. We left valued items behind and they sorted very quickly to get it - Very unique loved the apartment.very well located and had everything we needed even ice in the freezer for drinks Great location. Near nice spot for swimming and cafes.
- Αλεξάνδρα (8/5): Very good -
- Michail (9/5): Nice, cozy appartment in a quiet and easy to get to location - The location was almost perfect, close to the harbour and the main street and very quiet. The property was very clean apart from 2 minor details explained below. Jacuzzi was a nice thing to have. The house was also kept warm by the air-condition units installed although the weather was really bad on our stay. A second key could have been nice since we were 2 families. The water tank in the fridge was dirty with visible floating dirt inside (you fill it up and use it for cold drinkable water) but we didn't use it as there was water bottles provided and we bought some for our use later. There was a full on hamburger left in the microwave which was odd (!). Cleaner forgot to check in there, we also left half a pizza in the fridge, hope they saw it before the next person arrives. There is a lot of stairs in the appartment so if you can't walk up the stairs with ease that might be a problem.
- Jeryl (10/5): - We did a 2-night stay at Evans House II and it exceeded expectations. The amenities are great especially the full kitchen and jacuzzi. The location is great, not too far from the main tourist areas. Communication was hassle free during the check in and check out process. Highly recommend!
- Joann (10/5): Fabulous stay and will come back again. - I loved the location, you can walk everywhere. I also loved the unique design of the property. It was also very quiet to sleep. Everything was perfect! I personally loved the place. If you have small children the steps are open, also the beds are firm which I like but they are not pillow top beds so beware to those who like that type.

- Tarik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Badia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elisabeth (6/5): Inside great, outside less so (apo mesa bella bella, apo exo....) - The indoors was gorgeously remodeled, even unecessarily fancy (is a jacuzzi really necessary?) Beautiful rooms, without any local character, in a rather small footprint, a tall building with small surface areas and spiral staircases. Evans houses are a short walk to downtown old town, close to the East Moat free Parking (if you're renting a car, that's super useful to know) and right by the fantastic Saturday farmer's market. There is no outdoors to speak of, and that should be made clear in the listing. Though Evans houses are conveniently located, the place itself if on a tiny, ugly alley, among residential apartment buildings, with no character, no view, and only a tiny outdoor space with a small table to sit at. Which is all perfectly fine, if you're expecting to be out and about all day.
- Jon (7/5): Good - Limited hot water for shower. Location near sea and old town but in rough neighborhood.
- Ian (9/5): on the whole a lovely place with good facilities and a nice ambience. - beautifully decorated, loved the wood. stairs aren’t great for young toddlers.
- Peter (10/5): P&M Review - Great location with short walking distance to the old town, restaurants, cafes and shops. Very clean with good facilities. The only minor concern was the sometimes lack of close on street parking.
- Amanda (9/5): A unique and special place. - We had a great stay - this apartment was very different than anywhere we have stayed before. The three levels of the house and two bathrooms gave us plenty of room. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking basic meals. Overall the apartment is very comfortable, nicely decorated, and we slept well!
There are many markets, restaurants and shops within walking distance (including the old port and city center). And there are many nice cats and dogs in the neighborhood.
We hiked at Monastery Katholiko and Seitan Limania beach near Chania and enjoyed both very much (although the weather was too cold for swimming at the beach).
Highly recommend the gyros at Beer Raki (2 min walk from Evan’s House II). It was a little hard to find the place and parking when we first arrived, although we quickly got the knack for it.
- Edgaras (9/5): Superb -
- Keala (10/5): Modern Conveniences with historic charm = best of both worlds. - This place is a modernized gem! It was like our home away from home. The owner, Panagiotis, is very friendly, helped us check in, how to use everything, and then was very respectful of privacy. Give him a heads up so he has warning to meet you though so you arent waiting. Even though I forgot to, we did not have to wait very long. When you first drive down the street you may wonder where in the world is this place. Just look for what looks like ruins/rubbleand you’ve arrived to meet him. Don’t worry, the place is not the ruins!😂 Just the nearest landmark. The home is completely renovated and modernized with just the right amount of charm and preservation of the venetian era - you are getting to experience a piece of history without its inconvenience. We were also grateful to be able to do some laundry. You don’t think you are close to the water at first, but in less than a 60 second walk from the place you are walking on the port. It’s amazing! It is quieter too, less hustle and bustle, but we could walk to everything. Ask for recommendations and do whatever Panagiotis says - his advice is so good - best restaurants. We even asked for a church recommendation and ended up having the most amazing experience. His home village also makes the best olive oil so you get a taste of something special. The home was very clean, comfortable, safe, even a little secluded - like you’d hardly know its even there. I wish we had been able to stay longer. We loved Chania much better than Heraklion and if we come again we would use this as a home base and tour more of Chania region. We are grateful for the hospitality of Panagiotis. And I guess we were so busy enjoying our time there we did not take any inside pictures, but as you can see the place is beautiful.
- Hara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bartcm (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (8/5): Very good - The house is very clean and nicely designed over three floors. The rooms are comfortable and the upper room has a view. It's a little dark in the living area. It's well located for the centre and sea walk. It's down a little alleyway with some abandoned houses on the other side.
- Mariel (10/5): fabulous - clean & very comfortable can’t complain, everything was perfect
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Antoine (10/5): The best hotel I ever booked - The villa is spectacular. The architecture is stunning. It’s even better than the pictures. Such a good surprise
- Diana.i. (9/5): Superb - The location is close to Old Town, and I loved that it was 7 min walk to a small beach.
The house is very nicely renovated.
Nearby, on Saturdays, there is the local market that is absolutely amazing and you can get the best products from farmers.
The value for money is great, I would recommend it to my friends. The outside yard is beautiful but quite small and it's shared with the next-door neighbors, so we couldn't use it.
The bedroom on the top floor gets very hot and we can't sleep with the air conditioner on, as it's just above the bed.
- Konstantinos (7/5): Good -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The house was just perfect for our needs and very comfortable just next to the old city center. I would definitely come back to stay.
