Guest Reviews
- Paulina (4/5): - Their was a cockroach in the bathroom. And i rented that hotel room because i had major surgery and its not a good idea to drive a long way home after surgery . Glad i was able to stay at the hospital an extra day and go home.
- Anahi (2/5): - This was the worst Motel/Hotel ive ever stayed at. The place was disgusting, stains all over the bed (maybe bed bugs?) They gave me the wrong room and wouldnt let us change rooms. Blood stains all over the sheets on both beds. Fridge did not work and tv didnt work either.
- Da'Rell (2/5): Worse than it looks - They had bed bugs they had dirty sheets and they had roaches also for some reasons human hair everywhere. No ice machine and no wifi and a constant flow of homeless people coming on to the property
- Tracy (2/5): - This hotel should not be recommended… very poor quality, one towel, 2 inch gap under room door, scratchy bed linens, I swear I heard gun shots in the middle of the night… do NOT stay here!!!
- Jose (2/5): - Broken bathroom
Bed bugs been itchy since I left the motel
- tim (2/5): - Noise unclean. Mold. On Ceiling. And bums walking around. Not worth to. 90 $ a night
- Mark (10/5): - Fine
- Yamileth (8/5): Average good price - Not enough parking space, room door not secure, poor ac flow
- Quyisha (10/5): - Overall satisfaction
- Mark (10/5): - Fine
- Hector (2/5): Completelly desapointed with this Richmond motel 6 - Air conditioner was not working, after I talked to the person on the reception he went and move the control and told me to wait 10 min. I have the air on for 1.5 hours and was not working, he send the maintenence guy and just remove the filter and told me to wait 1/2 hour, room was really hot, I went one more time to the reception and I told the guy that I need a different room because of the problem, he told me he was going to my room in a minute, he went and told me that he don't have any more rooms with 2 beds and can offer only one bed, I told him no because we where 4 people, me, my son and my daughters. He told me well open the window and your room will be cooler. Restroom was really bandalised and looks poor and durty. I told him how desapointed I was and I claimed a refund of my payment. I went to the office and I turned the key and I left. I booked another room in the Motel 6 of Hayward and the difference was really noticeable, much better. One more thing that I don't like in the other motel 6 of Richmond is that they ask for a $100 dollars deposit and they take only cash for that, that was not on the instructions at the time that I booked the room. I have 2 pictures and the app is not letting me download it.
- Harold (2/5): - $100 cash deposit demanded
- Mark (10/5): - Fine no problem
- Kamala (10/5): - Service was good.
- Mark (10/5): - Fine
- Christian (4/5): - The rooms had no soap in there.
- Laury (10/5): Quiet Place! - Was good, front desk great customer service, lady’s cleaners with bad attitude, they have a security guy keep safe the parking lot
- Ricardo (2/5): The worst place ever. - This place is a dump!!!! First the person who helps was super rude. Second they asked $100.00 dollars in cash? Never heard of that. The furniture, sheets and place was dirty. There was no smog detector. There was no soup. There was homeless at the parking lot. Then the next morning the person at the office didn’t want to give me my deposit in CASH without a reason. It was a fight to get them back. Hell no I won’t coming back EVER. I was so embarrassed with mi girlfriend because the place was so dirty.
- Oleg (10/5): - Very nice place
- Laura (10/5): - Great customer services, good priced, clean and big space 👍
- Heather (6/5): Below average - Easy fast check in man was friendly however when we got to the room the tv didn't work and the remote was broken went downstairs to let him know he have us another broken remote and we had no tv the entire night. I got a kinda scary vibe but it was peaceful. Rooms were so so one plus no bugs i would stay again if it was my only option. Room and entire place not updated what so ever no phone or microwave in room. Just a bed and broke tv
- Mark (4/5): - Poor
- Víctor (2/5): - They need cash
- Mark (2/5): - The security guard was extremely rude and when I spoke to the manager he assured me he would talk to him. The next night I encountered the same rude security guard and he and I went to speak to the manager. When I asked the manager if he had spoken to him about being rude the manager wouldn’t even look me in the eye and just stood there stammering and mumbling. The security guard kept saying he was doing it for my safety. I didn’t have any security concerns but if the guard is so concerned it must have a bad reputation. If you want rude employees, a manager who will tell you one thing and do the other, and apparently an extremely unsafe place to stay then you have found it. I stayed 5 nights but I won’t be back. There are several places in the area around the same price point and I’m not interested in giving my money to someone who is willing to treat a customer that way. And to add a note I will be staying 5-6 nights every other week in the area. My hard earned money will be spent elsewhere.
- Aliyah (10/5): - Excellent customer service - near my job so super convenient!
- YAN (2/5): - Super dirt and inconvenience
- Joshua (6/5): - They only clean the rooms when you ask paint missing on walls the floors in the room are sticky and dirty the bottom of the shower curtain has black on it almost like mold
- DEEPENDER Singh (10/5): - Very NICE HOTEL ..

- Consuelo (2/5): - Is no hot water
- Gurdeep (2/5): - The security deposit of $100 has to be cash otherwise you can't check in even though you have paid upfront!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - My stay was very interesting. The hotel staff seemed so strict upon arriving . The security guard stays in front making sure no one comes in without physical staying at the hotel . You have to pay $100 deposit which you get back . The hotel room smelled like cleaning supplies it was an older hotel in a bad neighborhood. No one bothered me . It was some what comfortable . The tv sound wasn’t working upon arriving we had to get someone to fix. Very old and rusty . Hotel is great for a quick stay .
- RICHARD R (6/5): - Interesting
- Deshawn (2/5): Roachs and holes in walls - I walked in called and walked out, motel 6 shouldn't allow this place to have it's name. Give a 100 dollar cash deposit and the place has holes in the wall, let along the broken snoke detectors
- A (4/5): - The property was in poor condition, and my room was generally clean, but things didn't work. i.e., the table end lamp was completely broken, there were no light bulbs in the light fixtures and the ceiling fan was noisy and the cover was missing in the bathroom, microwave did not work.
- Jaime (6/5): A fair stay close to trains - First, I was so grateful to have had a place to stay so late at night when I got to the Bay Area. There was a man in front of me who could barely cough up $22 for a room. And the rooms cost way more than that. He was trying desperately to get into something. I went outside and waited until there be some ending. It was 12:45 am.
The man moves away from the window, and I am able to check in for my room. The clerk was efficient, and I left as quickly as I could. The man mentioned above was in the room while I was checking in. I needed to get out of there.
Now, going into the room, O noticed it looked a bit dated. The writing table had no chair, and one had to use the bed. Also, the hotel phone was in the drawer. No kidding. And don’t think of using it because it does not work. Good thing I have a working phone.
The area reminds me of some of the more gritty areas of New Jersey. It was safe enough, but looks and feels really northern.
One pleasant surprise was that there was a balcony I used briefly in the morning. Not much of a view, but still nice to have.
The bathroom was functional, and I used it to wash up and get ready for what lies ahead in my trip.
The bed was really comfy and I slept well.
I stayed here to be close to trains going further north into California. I would describe it as fair.
- Daisy (2/5): - I went into the and immediately noticed a strong odor. I asked for spray Lysoled the entire room and washed the bathroom myself. As I sat on the bed I noticed a strong odor coming from the bed I asked for another room and they said there was none they were going to refund the night and I had to get out. As I was confirming another room three staff came to my room. They began harassing me as I was gathering my things. If the staff wouldn’t be comfortable spending the night on that bed neither would I.
- Michael (2/5): - Great location
- Hector (10/5): - Fue una experiencia muy agradable en compañía de mi familia para visitar familia y amigos que no veíamos en muchos años
- Carla (2/5): - Esta muy destruído
- Joshua (4/5): Cheap and poor parking - Out dated small parking lot ac doesnt work well. Beds are uncomfortable. Broke down cars is the yard. Wifi doesnt work.
- Sami (2/5): - No internet connection! No iron to borrow! No soap at the bathroom! Front desk never answer calls!!
- Lucia (2/5): Worst place to stay - The room wasn't like what it show on the app, room smells like bleach, electricity bad, and i got bit by tricks.
- amjad (2/5): - The bath room was not clean ,and the mirror is broken, the room smell bad.i satyed only couple of hour and left,i went some where else.
- MIKE (2/5): - I made a reservation for two of my employees, one room with two beds but there was only one bed available so they had to go to another hotel and pay double and no one even contacted me to explain.
- Froylan (10/5): - I had a great experience on this hotel
Very quite people very responding with anything
It was great time staying there
- Phoebe (2/5): - They cancelled my room and didn’t give a refund.
- Adrian (4/5): - It was under control
- Katrina (8/5): - I was a bit reluctant to book this motel, seeing the reviews. While I don't entirely mind booking places with cockroaches, it's not something I strive to do. However, everything in a similar price range didn't have better reviews, plus there were some suspiciously high-marked reviews for the others, so I decided to just book this Motel 6, especially since it as closer to where I wanted to be. Checking in was a little slow, but the staff were fine. Upon entering the room, it smelled highly of cleaning chemicals (make of it what you will), which I think is what they use for mopping. My room was certainly cleaner than other motels I had stayed in during my roadtrip - no noticeable dirt/dust buildup and NO BUGS! The area it is in and some of the guests may be a bit eyebrow-raising, but it's not like they can really help any of that. I stayed for three nights, and it was a pretty good stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the big closet and furnishings - sofa chair, two nightstands, TV stand/dresser, table and chair, and shelf thingy. The room advertised a fridge, and was also relieved to see they had a(n albeit old-fashioned) microwave.
- Dayzi (4/5): - I got to hotel at 10:00pm after and by 1am the noise was to much I checked out by 6am could not sleep.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room was ok. There was a long hair on one of the clean towels. Woke up to the police escorting someone off the property. Looks like there were a number of people living at the motel and they were always sitting on the front staris smoking and making noise.
- Richard (2/5): - Doors would not open to room, toilet did not work, barely any water coming out of faucet, AC didn’t work and tv only had one channel.
- Farrokh Rostami (2/5): - Very dirty
- Nancy (4/5): - the furniture in the room was dirty the room itself was unkept
- Jabrayah (2/5): - Roaches on the walls, furniture and floors. My room had ZERO hot water not even a little warm. I didn’t have a TV. There wasn’t coffee in the morning. I have pictures of the room. I am so disappointed and I feel like I was robbed for my money from Expedia and Motel 6. I’m still in disbelief. I do plan on calling Expedia tomorrow Monday the first business day to speak about my stay.
- Mohammad (10/5): - All good
- nicole (2/5): - this place needs upgraded the bathrooms are very unsanitary .
- Johnny (8/5): Nice place and a good value - The owners are repairing and updating room and overall the property is maintained in as a clean friendly place to stay a night or two.
- Johnny (8/5): - My stay was good and no real issues.
- Marcy (2/5): - The internet was down & the room wasn’t as I was assured over the phone. Had to find another place to stay
- Jovan (2/5): Horrible - The room wasn’t clean and comfortable and there were roaches everywhere including the microwave and refrigerator in the bathroom and inside the bedding
- Yvetta (2/5): - I've been there before but the rooms were in better condition and I never saw any roaches in my last stay but there were everywhere. I went to the office to complain because there was no phone in the room. Alwful
- Raquiesha (6/5): - It was ok for 1 night
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not as clean as it could be. Louder than it should be. Inconsiderate parking. Coin operated ice machine. Inadequate eoutlets. Singe light.
- Ralph (8/5): Richmond great!! - I was in Richmond on a business meeting. This Motel was convenient, affordable, great location to my meeting, also Great price. Friendly check in .
I would stay there again.
- Carlos (2/5): - AC didn’t work, parking is small if you drive a truck it’s gonna be tight. Room never got cleaned. And it’s more active at night than during the day. One outlet for electricity and over all its one of these places you rent by the hour.
- peter (2/5): - Cockroaches
- Maricela (2/5): - Terrible just terrible don't stay here. Walls were extremely dirty, mold on/in the mirror door locks were not secured. Drug dealing in the parking lot and extremely noisy. I couldn't even stay I had to leave.
- Delphia (2/5): - There were roaches in the room.
- Fernando (2/5): - The most filthy drug infested nastiest place ive ever stayed. Walls had cigarette burns stains matress had stains toilet paper had blood on it. This place should be condemned. There was a guy peeing in the parking lot right in front of the children playing outside. STAY AWAY DO NOT BRING YOU'RE FAMILY HERE..!!
- Daiana (2/5): - No es un sitio recomendable para dormir una o dos noches.
El personal de seguridad muy violento.
El chico de recepción incompetente.
11 am abrió la puerta de la habitación sin previo aviso.
- Alexander (4/5): Hotel needs improvements as the neighborhood - The neighborhood is in shambles. One of our parties was followed outside by someone while she walked to the nearby MacDonalds.
- Endi (2/5): - Very dirty, roaches, I felt so unsafe. Never again
- Verified traveler (4/5): Had no other options, hope you aren’t the same - Found mold in the top of the closet, water leaking from separate bathroom onto our floor, power was constantly on and off, refrigerator couldn’t stay cold and made the floor wet overnight, somebody from a previous stay wrote on the lamp shade and wall, and finally the remote for the tv didn’t work.
- Deshawn (2/5): Con artists - Used Hotels.com to book room, got there and gave them my ID and they said my name and number didn't match. Call the company and cancel the room!
Booked another room and didn't have any issues, got played out of 98 dollars.
- Ralph (6/5): Ruff n Tuff - It was interesting!
The Check in was good, the staff is friendly, the night Security is great., but out side of this place is rough!!,so bring a Bat.😆
I would stay there again for the price,😁 good price.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The property is in an unsafe neighborhood, however the property owner have measures to deter car theft or other mischief. The bathroom door in the room I need complete replacement, loose and hanging wires and incomplete lighting repairs were observed in the room and bathroom, outside the window is a small yard full of filth, notably used condoms and hygiene products. The room itself is spacious, bedding is very good, TV and cable are also good and functional
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It is it a sketchy area so please spend the 40-50$ and go get yourself a better room. We had no microwave in our room and our mini fridge shocked us. I didn’t feel comfortable showering in our tub because it was stained black from what I want to guess was fabric dye. Please don’t bring kids!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Drug deals right outside in the parking lot and bugs in the room
- Rabecca (4/5): Bad night - It was very loud manager fighting with guest. Guests fighting outside my door
- Yolanda (2/5): Terrible - It was Terrible
- Makayla (6/5): Dissatisfied - There was people screaming and shouting, neighborhood was very uncomfortable and the employees could have been a lot nicer.
- Judd (2/5): Don't stay here - Hotel was very gross run down and in disrepair. Everyone staying at the hotel was so loud and rude that I ended up leaving before midnight.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not the worst not the best but the staff is great - So the only issue I have with this place is the surrounding area the slamming of the doors the loud music wow the arguing other than that the people who run this place are so nice very understanding if you're late paying I think they should have a cut-off time with music I think they should get the stoppers on the door where you can't slam them it's a clean place the the room is clean the outside is clean until the people wake up and start doing whatever they do outside also I have a issue with people sleeping on the stairs homeless people sleeping on the stairs is out of control it's like the Carter New Jack City but at the end of the day it's okay you're not outside but some things do need to be changed here some kind of control with the people who are around here the visits the yelling the loud music
- Adam (10/5): - Conveniently located next door to a pizza joint and a short walk to the Richmond Bart/Amtrak station! All that I needed and more: comfortable bed, wifi, AC, TV, minifridge, etc.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place had 1 towel and told us we would have to wait til the next day when house keeping come in. They came in still no towels. Very loud outside our room all night
- Mimi (2/5): - Horrible crack heads in hallways all night. Very loud quest. Smoke detector not in rooms. Police blocks entrance just simply horrible!!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Gang Gang, bam bam, insects, no fans. - Wow. Never in my life have i witnessed a business establishment that was run by owners that cared any less than these crooked scoundrels do. Save Richmond. Close this place.
- Lamar (2/5): - Very load and found a roaches in the bathroom
- RICARDO (2/5): Not worth 70 dollars - A roach style motel..bad service and bad area ..u see and hear everything .in that hotel bad neighborehood
- Mary (6/5): - There were lots of people yelling. The tv and heat didn't work, but the bed was clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It's an inexpensive place to sleep.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst experience - The stay was very loud, police were called due to a disturbance of a couple staying there. The maid came by twice out of the week staying there. The parking lot had glass in two parking spaces. The ice machine was broken and the doors always slammed when closed
- Mimi (10/5): - The owner is extremely helpful and nice. He listens and always has a smile and will try, and correct any issues. Great CUSTOMER service!!!! I will come back!!!
- Teacher (2/5): - This Motel was across the street from a homeless encampment and its "guests" were hanging out all over the hotel till late in the morning. It seemed as though the front desk attendant had their friends come and party there till late in the night. It was loud and I did not feel welcomed. The next day people on the other side of the fence were harassing me, to say the least I left that day even though I was meant to stay two more days.
- Sarah (2/5): - I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but this place threw me over the edge. I was in my room for 3 minutes before I decided to leave. Scary people outside... obvious drug dealers and prostitutes. I DID NOT feel comfortable leaving my car parked in the parking lot overnight. The floor of my room was sticky. Half of the light switches worked. It was extremely noisy... doors slamming nonstop. I had a serious bad vibe and decided to eat the nonrefundable room cost and go elsewhere. Avoid. At. All. Cost.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room smelled like cigarettes and there were a lot of leaks, they never came and clean the room
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It wasn't a good experience at all, weird people were knocking my door at 3 am.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The place stinks, the door doesn’t even properly open, the heating unit didn’t work and the ice machine didn’t work either
- Thewhiteman (2/5): - Someone was staying in the room before I got there. The sheets weren't messed up, but people would come in through the window and go thru all my stuff when I left the room even for a minute. I demand my money back.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - heater was not working. Saw cockroach in the room. The bed is clean but that is the issue that I came across with my stay.
