- Sheralyn (10/5): - This was a lovely place to spend a weekend. The room we stayed in was very ample and relaxing. The staff was superior and engaging. The continental breakfast was more than enough to get a start to the day. We did have a meal at the restaurant on the property. Food was delicious. Lots of seating options. The property is lakefront with no actual lake access, but it is nice to be so close just for the view. There is a walking rail trail just behind the property that is easily accessible which we used.

Secondly, the toilet paper and tissues in rooms were cheap and abrasive; I would think a good hotel would stock better creature comforts. It's the small things that separate excellence and good, but not great. Also, it is too bad that the hotel doesn't have boats or other ways to enjoy the lake.

- Wendy (8/5): - INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE POOL. IT'S NOT HEATED. THERE DEFINITION OF HEATED IS 84 DEGREES WHICH IS DECEPTIVE. IT'S A SITTING COLD POOL THAT NO ONE SITS IN. Not one person went into that pool for the weekend. I brought it to the front desk's attention and they were not helpful and did not care about heating it properly. This place would BE SO MUCH BETTER if they offered a truly heated pool/spa at 100 degrees. People would actually want to come here over Mirabeau if that was the case.

- stephand882 (10/5): Best kept secret - Always a wonderful experience - clean and cozy rooms, friendly staff and I love the dogs! It's a piece of paradise hidden in downtown Laconia. I try to visit at least once a year to relax and getaway. The spa and restaurant are convenient and make the stay even better. It's never a disappointment!

- Robert (10/5): - This was our first excursion to Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding area. I probably looked at around 20 different hotels/B & B's before deciding on the Lake Opechee Inn and Spa...And I made the right choice...This was the absolute BEST property to stay in the area! Coming from Rhode Island, we were initially a bit disappointed with the area around Laconia but after you head in the direction of Weir's Beach it all become nice indeed. Plus, you're only 48 minutes away from the White Mountains (Flume Gorge etc.). So, the Lake Opechee Inn is ideally strategically located to both tourist areas. We stayed in the deluxe room closest to the lake, and it was both spacious and clean. Some of the upsides included the whirlpool, comfortable bedding, nice chairs, a fireplace, and a deck with a view. The downsides (but not deal killers by any stretch) included no cleaning of our room (we had to get fresh towels etc. from the front desk), a smallish standup shower with no hand-held sprayer, small television (by today's standards), and a subpar breakfast. It's actually a pity that they don't offer a buffet in the adjoining restaurant because I would have happily paid the extra for a hot breakfast with eggs and bacon. Speaking of the restaurant...it's outstanding! The bartender was very helpful, and the food was delicious. Definitely, visit this more upscale restaurant at least one of your nights! Overall, I would definitely recommend the Lake Opechee Inn and Spa (9.5/10).
- Winterlassy (10/5): Heaven in New Hampshire - Wonderful time and what a great stay! The staff were terrific the food excellent and the rooms oh so clean. We so enjoyed the beautiful grounds especially in the evening when the sounds of night surround you. The bed was so comfortable and you could enjoy the view of the lake from in the bed. Clean, clean, clean, did I mention it was CLEAN!! The hotel is located in the heart of Laconia but you would forget that when your there. It pretty much feels like your in the deep woods by a beautiful lake.
- Josephine (8/5): - Nice quant small inn. Rugs in lobby need upgrading. Rooms are diverse themes. Was not aware when booking thru expedia, not asked for desired theme. Received a rustic themed one ( rm 100 with king bed), did not like it. Would have preferred a ocean themed one. Large room with lake facing balcony with 2 chairs and table. , no microwave in room, only supplied one set of towels per person, requested two, and was supplied. Jacuzzi placed in jammed , hard to enter position. No table supplied if was to have coffee or breakfast in the room. No safe in the rooms. Very helpful clerks at front desk. Delicious restaurant on site. Pool is a small soaking pool and locked and need to have someone open it and remove cover to use it. Decent continental brkfast. Fresh muffins, juice coffee, toast, bagels, danish and cereal, would have been excellant if provided some fruit also.

- Timothy (4/5): - This place is very misleading when you book your stay they charge astronomical prices show you beautiful rooms that face the lake with a deck they also advertise an indoor pool and you could probably fit four people in it then they put you in a room that faces the train tracks and a dirt parking lot out back after you paid 350 dollars per night. I would understand if the front rooms were that price. but the room that they put me in wasn’t worth more than $125 a night we ended up leaving Saturday morning and taking the loss of 350 next time, we will do more research and stay elsewhere

My only downside would be the breakfast was small and the bathroom wallpaper was peeling and it looked like water damage on them. But overall as close to excellent as you can get will definitely go back eventually.

We had the executive suite - it was huge! Bedding was amazing, balcony in the evening was perfect for watching the sunset!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful Winter Escape! - Our anniversary is in late December so we’re always looking for a lovely, affordable escape within 2 hours from our house, in Portland, ME. This place exceeds all our criteria. While it was a stretch over our budget, it was worth every penny. So glad we decided to stretch! Great staff, well organized, beautiful simplicity. Feeling of being at lovely historic setting surrounded by views of green space & water, yet steps to a sweet village with a great coffee shoo & decent places to eat. Wonderful get-away.
- Daniel (6/5): - The room was comfortable and clean. However the breakfast was underwhelming. For a hotel like this, one expects better. There was no fruit, no toast, and the offered ice cold muffins. Will not be returning to this hotel as there are much better options for this price bracket.
- Carol (10/5): Comfort at its best! - This was our first visit to Opechee Inn and it will not be our last. We arrived during a beautiful sunset and the comfort was top notch, from the chairs to the bed to the bedding!!! We can't wait to return.

- Caroline (10/5): - Exquisite and Charming !!! Everything about this place is Top Notch, if you’re considering a stay here, I highly recommend it. ALL the staff are genuinely pleasant and friendly, exceptional service! Rooms are super clean / spotless (great job housekeepers) . Charming decor and large well planned layout of rooms . Cozy and inviting fireplace with comfy chairs, the most comfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever experienced in my travels. Nice whirlpool tub for two with complimentary robes and relaxing lake view from your bed or step out onto your own balcony. Perfect getaway place for two , relaxing and quiet. We stayed in room 110 ( Robin room). Exceptional!!!
- Alexander (10/5): - The room was very comfortable (again). Very good sitting arrangement beside the fireplace, which is so warm and cozy. Beds are good, nicely and properly furnished. The jet tub is awesome! The place is very picturesque with a gorgeous lake view. The restaurant cuisine is tasty and rich. We are fond of this place and will definitely return whenever possible.
- Winfield (6/5): - First time at the Inn stayed over a 3 day weekend but decided to leave after 2 nights. We had an expensive exec suite that was quite roomy. Tough temperature control with window units (ambient temps were hot). Bed was quite large and with bizarre mattress that was so soft and deep it was hard to move in the bed. They really need a new, much firmer mattress in that room at least (hope all the suites are not similar). Had a tiny TV to watch at night (24" maybe). Breakfast provided item by item on specific request for each. Felt almost like staying in a foreign land, Transyvania at Holloween maybe (actually travelled from Massachusetts to Laconia)? Great dinner and service at O's first night and Fratello's the second night. Nice to drive around Winnipesaukee in our Tesla. Great superchargers in Tilton and Center Harbor. Decided to forgo trip up and around Lincoln, Kangamangus highway to Conway and back, although easy to so with Tesla SC in Lincoln (probably not even needed but nice) due to forecast snow on third morning. Great EV confidence builder for touring anywhere in NH but don't think we'd come back to this Inn.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Roomy nicely furnished ROOM!! - We had a wonderful stay! Staff was friendly and welcoming! Our room was large with very comfortable seating and ultra soft bed with the perfect weight feather down comforter. The breakfast was ok with limited choices. I especially liked shelving and counter space for toiletries and the large sized suitcase holders. Great hotel.
- Mary (6/5): - Clean and friendly staff. The rooms were a little outdated. Unfortunately during our stay, it rained which put a damper on our stay. Its just not for us. The hotel was lovely and i am sure if the weather was better we would have enjoyed it more.

- oksana (4/5): - It was advertised as a Spa hotel, but the spa was closed over the weekend. The price of the hotel is pretty high, but the linens were synthetic and the rooms are quite over dated, including the bathroom. doesn’t worth the money that we spent. In addition, the breakfast was quite bad.
- Anna (8/5): - Vey nice, clean and quiet place to relax. A whirlpool tub was a nice experience. The bed sheets and bathroom products were super nice, too. We would enjoy the modern materace much more. A full breakfast would be much appreciated as well. Overall a nice stay. We may be back.

- Trip09497700071 (10/5): Perfection - One of if not the nicest Inns we've ever stayed at. Every last detail was perfect. The friendly Inn dog (Luna) and super friendly Inn owner (Michelle) were the icing on a perfect cake. Would love to return.
