Guest Reviews
RAS
- Kelly (10/5): I enjoyed my time at the sweet suite. Sitting on the balcony, watching the people go by, and relaxing after a day explor - The Host Mara was exceptional. She met me at the building and took me up to the apartment, she told me how everything worked(on Google Translate) we were able to communicate well with that App. She was always available if I needed to contact her, which I didn’t have too. I felt more comfortable knowing that she was in the building if I needed her.
Rien!!
- Agathe (10/5): - Mara est une hôte en or qui est restée disponible tout au long du séjour. Son appartement est un cocon super à proximité de toutes les commodités !
- Laurianne (9/5): -
- Sara (10/5): Golfo dei poeti - Proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile, location in palazzo Liberty molto bella, posizione centralissima

- Jodi (9/5): Beautiful apartment in a nice location perfect to explore Cinque Terre - Spacious apartment and bathroom with a lovely small balcony. The host Mara was very welcoming and helpful with a lovely bottle of wine on our arrival. Great central location close to the train station and the port with a 10-15 minute walk either way. Lots of restaurants close by. Pillows were quite hard but otherwise the bed was comfortable. Several stairs at the entrance but then there is a small lift. Pillows a bit uncomfortable
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dai (9/5): Better than expected. - Location is excellent. Close to the train station and middle of town of La Spezia. The unit is tastefully decorated. The Host was efficient in communication , friendly and kind. Recommended us how to go around the area and even took us to the car rental after our stay. The towels could be better quality.
- Michael (9/5): Nice stay - Nice location. Lovely apartment with little terrace. No air conditioning

Make sure you have “translate” on your mobile.
- Nickoo (10/5): total relaxing - Old fashioned style a little bit noisy
- Allison (7/5): Good -
- Fiona (9/5): The owners are very welcoming and provide lots of information and advice. - Very warm welcome from the owner. Cute decoration and nice little balcony to sit out on. Some disturbance from dogs barking in nextdoor apartment.
- Esri (9/5): Mara is a very sweet host, who makes effort to make your stay fantastic. - Characteristic place in a beautiful building, with the cutiest balcony.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -

- Emma (10/5): It feels like home.. great area, I felt like a local.. Mara was a great host ! - I loved the terrace and how spacious the apartment is..
Coffee machine big bonus and the bottle of wine on arrival! N/A
- Guido (10/5): Exceptional - Our hostess went way out of her way to accommodate us. She even gave my wife a free phone charger and arranged for a private parking space. The location perfect...just a quick walk to the train, harbor and in the middle of all the stores and restaurants, yet quite.
- Susanne (10/5): Lovely holiday with both relaxation and activities. We managed to discover several wonderful places. - Cozy apartment with charming interior and a super nice host (Mara), who cared about her guests. Perfect location to easily get around the area. Close to the station, bus and port. We experienced nothing bad during our stay.
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sadie (10/5): Beautiful apartment, excellent location and amazing helpful host! - Mara was an excellent host! So helpful and friendly and the property exceeded our expectations it was decorated so lovely! Perfect location to the train station and to lots of bars, restaurants and shops! The best place to stay if you want to explore Cinque Terre and La Spezia! Will definitely be coming back! :)
- Georgia (10/5): Superb - We LOVED our stay here! Great location for getting around (approx 800 metres from the train station) and relatively quiet considering it's close to the main cafe/restaurant and shopping area. Mara is the most wonderful host - so helpful, fun and had great recommendations for the area. The apartment is beautiful, lots of antique touches and thoughtful details - coffee machine, tea, toaster, jug, mini kitchen, beautiful glassware and crockery, bathroom toiletries, and a little plate of welcome focaccia and a bottle of wine! My daughter (my travel buddy) and I didn't want to leave. Key collection was easy - we messaged over whats app and met the host at the property for the keys and a quick tour/guide of the apartment with instructions on how to get in and out, use lift, etc (as the accom is in a beautiful old residential building). Highly recommend. I would stay again! nothing not to like
- Phil (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - Centrally located, easy walk to train station and the port. Mara was extremely friendly and helpful
- Nigel (8/5): Wonderful stay - Location and ambiance Bed was too firm for us
- Elena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (10/5): There is no better choice for easy access to dining, shopping, Porto Venere and the Cinque Terre. - Our stay at Suite Royal in La Spezia was the best decision of our twelve days in Italy. Both the accommodation and the city are even more beautiful and charming than they already appear in photos. The suite is perfectly located, with so many wonderful dining and shopping options just around the corner. Additionally, Mara was a fabulous hostess, providing us with a bottle of wine and great recommendations, including all the details necessary to navigate the bus to Porto Venere —which we highly recommend. If you are planning a visit to the Cinque Terre, La Spezia is the perfect location for visiting the Five Villages, with even more to offer. We loved everything—including the kind building residents we crossed paths with during our stay.
- Ergo (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was like expected. Very close to train station and resturants! install airconditioner then it would be magically Perfect!
- Martina (4/5): Wait for the cesssation and suing of the neighbour before staying here - La Spezia, everything easily accessible The owner of the property has not been honest about the situation with the lady in the apartment on the same landing living with poor mental health. Going out in the middle of the night, banging her apartment door, noisily using the lift gates and letting the front door slam. Her large dog barking and howling in the street, then she returns and sometime later it happens all over again. We were there for 4 nights, each time hoping and trying to stay positive that it wouldn't happen again. I didn't mention it as there wasn't anything to be done and there was a language barrier. Mara lives in the same building but over the other side so not as badly affected. When we left we didn't see Mara, her husband came to take the keys we had a train to catch and didn't mention this horrible situation. I messaged Mara later in the day to tell her how difficult it was. She advised me there is a cessation order for the person in this apartment. I feel very aggreived my holiday was ruined and I wanted to feel relaxed before travelling to a wedding in Florence cancelled twice due to the pandemic. Mara offered me a two night stay in another place Casa Monella in Pitelli through AirB&B at my convenience so she would not loose her 9/10 rating score. It looks lovely but then so does Suite Royal. I'm not interested in going back, I decided I'm not going to take a two night refund either. No one should be subjected to this especially after Covid, the economic difficulties with romantic flowery false promises.

- Lizzie (8/5): Very good -
