International tourists should chose a more established place like ritz carlton - Great location, Interior very cool The room smells like cigarettes like ridiculously bad. Staff was very limited english I had what appeared to be a homeless woman make her way into the 41st floor bar area and stand next to my table doing hand gestures and speaking Chinese. To which the hotel staff just told me to ignore or her. Very uncomfortable situation
• Silvia (10/5): Beautiful property - great value! - The hotel is simply beautiful. The reception hall on the top floor is magnificent. The room was big and beautifully decorated. All the rooms are on high floors, and the hotel is by the river, so you get a nice view everywhere. The breakfast was great, especially the noodles! Would recommend 100%! The coffee at breakfast was not the best - but not a big issue!

El sillón de masajes es un lujo que use para descansar y recuperar mis energías. Personal amable. Vistas espectaculares. El lío de los ascensores (hay que subir siempre a la recepción de la planta 41, para luego acceder a las habitaciones) y lo mismo para bajar, y no lo nos lo explicaron al principio. Tampoco me gusto el depósito que hay que pagar al principio, cómo si no se fiaran, aunque al final lo devuelven sin problemas.

Вид из окон отличный из всех номеров, не стоит платить за вид на реку, ее видно из 3/4 номеров. На полу в номере были волосы и валялась сигарета, ковролин в пятнах. Запах сигарет чувствовался на этаже для некурящих.

Мы жили без кондиционера, если его включить вонь становится еще сильнее. Вид из окна не на достопримечательности( река), а на город. В низу школа где включают музыку с 7.30 утра вы ее слышите на 40 этаже!!!. Но вы не спите с 6 утра, так как над вашим номером ресторан, и стулья которые там двигают, вас сводят с ума. Завтраки однообразные для отеля 3*, есть нечего, нет рыбы, есть суши которые тоже без рыбы!!! А самый ужас это лифты, они очень долгие и при этом закладывает уши. Что бы попасть в номер нужно доехать до 41 этажа в лобби, перейти в другой лифт и опустится на свой этаж. За неделю проживания в этом отеле я не выспалась не одного дня, не разу вкусно не позавтракала. И это с учетом того что я уезжала в 10 утра и возвращалась в 9 вечера. И плохой интернет, для работы вообще не подходит.

• Steffie (7/5): First and Never Again - If I were to rate based on the price I paid, what impressed me most was how grand everything felt — from the amenities to the facilities. I especially loved the massage chair, the spacious bathtub, and the L’Occitane toiletries. Everything in the room felt thoughtfully designed. Breakfast was great, with plenty of selections, and the hotel’s location is convenient — just a short 3-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, and close to several shopping centers. On the positive side, the breakfast team and concierge staff were warm, friendly, and helpful, which I truly appreciated. Overall, it’s a solid 6/10 for me — worth experiencing once for the facilities, but I’m unlikely to return. However, in terms of service, I feel there’s room for improvement if the hotel aims to meet Forbes-recommended standards. The interactions felt robotic, lacking warmth and personal touch. Check-in and check-out processes were slow. During check-in, for example, the staff member (Dylan) took my passport to the back office without explanation after scanning it at the counter. The whole process felt unclear and impersonal. When I tried to ask questions, he simply shut me off — perhaps due to a language barrier, but it still left an uncomfortable impression. The check-out experience was similar. I was left waiting without explanation until I asked what was happening, only to be told everything was settled and I could leave — with no “thank you” or farewell. I shared my unhappiness with the manager before leaving.

The breakfast is just amazing. The staff is, as it is usual in China, very kind. The room was not really clean and the wellness offers could be better for such hotel.

The room was spacious, well-equipped, and offered a stunning view, very comfortable overall. Breakfast could use a better bread selection, but otherwise, everything was perfect.

• June3g (7/5): Hospitality Shortcomings at an Otherwise Nice Place - I liked the automatic toilet I found that the friendliness of the staff varied greatly. While some, especially at the lobby, were genuinely welcoming, others seemed indifferent or even unhappy. The unexpected kindness of the housekeeping staff on the eve of our departure, with the note and extra amenities, was a heartwarming touch. I believe a similar level of hospitality should be consistently demonstrated from the very beginning of a guest's stay.

• Andry (9/5): very good stay indeed. - We stayed for 5 nights. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, location wise was not too bad either as it is near 2 train stations. Access to Didi car service/taxis was easy too. no trouble getting around from here. hotel staff, could have better managed the other guests who smoked in the hotel. wasn't very pleasant to have people smoking indoors.

The huge bath tub in the room was the best, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were prompt and very accommodating when responding to our requests. Everything in the hotel felt clean and well maintained. It was a most enjoyable experience! The shower corner in the room was a liitle awkward and the water could easily overflow out of the shower area if you're not careful. It also wasn't the easiest hotel to locate. Many Didi drivers stopped outside the hotel rather than drive into the front porch to pick us up.

• 644andyi (10/5): Superb… Equal to a FourSeasons or Mandarin Oriental - Yes, *2/3 of the staff don’t speak English. But 1/3 do, notably the manager of the 39th floor Executive Lounge and Wayne, the personable and efficient Front of House Manager. And all the staff are charming and willing, with an apparent wish to make a guest’s stay as pleasant as possible . (*incidentally, the ratio was about the same at the Canopy by Hilton in Chengdu 4 days earlier.) Notable features are a superb quality bed, a massage chair in rooms on the Executive Floor and the Aqua di Parma toiletries in the bathroom. Overall, there’s a refreshing impression that this is NOT a hotel operating to a budget. The extravagant decor may be too like the Venetian in Macau or Las Vegas for some tastes, but it’s certainly a luxury offering. Recommended

• Lesi (9/5): Luxurious stay. - Luxurious hotel - marble/jade floor and counter. Butler was always timely for whatever request we have - extra water, ice etcs. Everything was super clean too. Well the front desk is on the 41st floor... so whenever you go in and out, you have to go up to 41st floor and then change to a different elevator to go down. The cell reception in our room was not great. Although the wifi is fast and convenient, we are traveling from US and still needs to do work stuff with gmail and youtube - which means we need to use our global roaming cellphones to access these. It worked out eventually, just not with a good speed.

The room is still quite comfortable and their bed is really easy to sleep in!! This is a good location, facing Jinjiang River, backed by Tianfu Square, 10 minutes' walk from Chunxi Road to Taikoo Li.

The room is spacious, beautifully decorated, and has an incredibly comfortable bed. The hotel is equipped with many facilities - you never get bored. All room amenities are of good quality. There are many food options that accommodate different dietary requirements. The restaurant on the 41st floor has a lovely view of the city. I recently had a birthday dinner there, and Basil and his wonderful team ensured that everything ran smoothly. I look forward to my next visit!
• rhart10 (10/5): 10/10 - Absolutely incredible stay. Welcomed downstairs and escorted upstairs to our lovely suite where we were given a tour of not only the room but also all the facilities. All amenities are incredibly clean and everything is as advertised. Basil took care of my friends and I like no other! Will definitely be back for another staycation soon!
• ZarzaTravels (10/5): Sensational! This hotel is a MUST visit! Service to rival the top international hotels! - By far the best hotel I have stayed in during my time in China! The service levels rival that of some of the top hotels have stayed in in Europe and Asia. I strongly recommend ex-pats to experience this hotel, which offers service like none of the big chain hotels do. From the moment I walked through the entrance on my first day, to leaving on the last - every interaction was exceptional! Basil, the Deputy Manager was incredible - no question or request was too much, and his attention to detail and attentive service made my stay in the hotel and in Chengdu amazing. He helped me to arrange everything from laundry to tickets to the Sichuan opera, and genuinely cared about my stay with Wanda Reign. Even after I left he kept kept touch to ensure my further travel plans worked out. The decor of the hotel was truly beautiful, the most wonderful chandeliers and attention to detail everywhere was exceptional. The cleaning team did a phenomenal job, and the room was made up twice a day - with lovely touches such as little personalised notes and presents! I am a stickler for cleaning and genuinely I could not fault any area of cleanliness in this hotel. The room was incredibly well equipped, with a deep soak bath, excellent range of drinks / coffee machine and a super comfy bed! Electric curtains and smart technology using an IPAD to control everything was really efficient. I also have to comment on the wall paper in the room - it was beautiful! The food selection offered and amazing aray of Eastern and Western food to meet all tastes, and the lobby lounge served excellent coffee, afternoon tea, wine and cocktails - with exceptional service and lovely view! The service in the bar was incredible - Eudora was particularly helpful and welcoming. The equipment in the gym was high quality and offered a range of cardio and weight machines, and the pool was a relaxing place to unwind. I really didn't want to leave this hotel, and I will absolutely use this hotel and this brand again in the near future. I can't recommend it highly enough! A big thank you in particular to Basil, Eudora and the cleaning team - you are an amazing team 😀👏🙌
• shadria (4/5): Buffet - The worst buffet in chengdu,they didn't re-fill empty stations. Certain stations didn't have utensils to be used. Sushi was horribly big and tasteless, some had huge slices of banana!!. Very little choice of food. Basically the whole buffet felt cheap and unappealing. Better food could be found in any boutique restaurant in chengdu. This was my second bad experience in Wanda and hopefully my last.
• Victorialykles (10/5): stay at wanda - When the first time I came in, I felt the warm welcome from everyone. It was really nice. I love the atmosphere around the place. We had a great meal in that restaurant and Mandy was helping us a lot. She is such a considerate and caring person. I love this place.
• juliemcp (10/5): Amazing Stay ~ Amazing Hotel! - This was one of the best hotels we visited during our tour of China! We were instantly impressed with beautiful lobby located on the 41st floor. The check in process was quick and our room was prepared and ready for our stay. We had a beautiful room on the 33rd floor with view of the river and city below. The room was quiet and had every amenity we could think of and more. The lighting system was incredible and allowed the room lights to be controlled from the end tables near the bed. The bed and linens were very comfortable and we slept so well each night. The breakfast each morning was abundant and extraordinary! So many options and everything we tried was delicious. Lastly, we were very impressed with the service we received. Our Chinese language skills are not the best, but the staff really tried hard to help us with any requests we had and would routinely go out of their way to find someone who could speak to us in English if they could not assist us. We really appreciated their efforts very much. One night during our stay, we had tickets to the Sichuan Opera. Unfortunately, this was during a holiday evening and taxis were hard to come by. Ricky worked diligently to find us a taxi/car service so we could make it to the performance on time. We were so grateful for all his efforts as we did not miss the opera and we ended up having a wonderful evening that night. Our entire experience with the Wanda Reign Hotel was amazing in every way and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
• Navigator488005 (6/5): A five star hotel without a five start service - Beautiful appearance with the lack of a 5 star hotel standard. Here are my THREE complaints: 1. Very poor service on September 18th at the breakfast buffet when I ask for a frenshly squeezed juice, the service person refused to provide the service for me even though the squeeze equipments and fruits are present to provide the service. Very disappointing. 2. At the bar, they do not have any standard on the quantity of the poured wine. I order a 6 ounces glass of wine, they gave me only two ounces. I complaint to the bartender why so little wine. The bartender said sorry and just added a few more drops but still way below the 6 ounces standard. I am surprised that they do not have any standard with their wine services. Whereas,the American standard are 6 or 9 ounces per glass of wine. 3. At the time of my check out they want to charge me an extra $30RMB because one of the smallest towel was dirty. Which was so ridiculuous and I refused to pay the $30RMB because it is not my duty to clean the towel it should be the basic sevices of the hotel.

• paveln806 (10/5): Extremely friendly management service!!! - Clean comfortable rooms, beautiful Chinese luxury style, great location, delicious freshly cooked breakfast, great gym and swimming pool, management was very helpful and respectful to resolve booking issue.
• Hejdjdjdj (10/5): The Best Hotel - The lobby on the 41st floor is very shocking, the service is excellent, and the check-in experience is also excellent. Come to Chengdu's preferred hotel. I love the smell of the towel. It is really make me feel at home!
• sfday (10/5): WOW! - We were in Chengdu for the Chengdu Panda Asian Food Festival that was based out of this gorgeous hotel. Breathtaking views from the lobby, situated on the 41st floor (floors 1-30 are offices; 31 and up are dedicated to the hotel). Rooms are beautifully appointed with state-of-the-art technology that we hadn’t seen in other facilities (TV could be activated in the bathroom mirror; Toto Neorest toilets, TV sound mutes when the doorbell is rung, etc.). The restaurant on floor 41 featured a sumptuous buffet at breakfast. All manner of Eastern/Western food, deliciously prepared. Service was also excellent as well as attentive. We didn’t get a chance to have drinks at the bar (located across the expansive lobby from the check-in desk) but it was also beautifully appointed with lovely artwork, glass panels, beautiful chandeliers, carved woodwork. The only drawback was the confusion with the lighting within the rooms. The master switches were located bedside in the nightstand (“Scene 1, 2, 3”) but we finally figured it out by the end of Day 2. Equally confusing were the bathroom lights (up light, down light) - a check with the desk should provide clarity. We did find the room a bit warm. Seems you can try upping the fan and lowering the temps (16.5 degrees is as low as it gets) but the temperature always hovered around 23 degrees).This was mid-May where it was pretty warm outside so we were hoping to come back to a reasonably cooler room. Would we stay there again? ABSOLUTELY!
• w0rldwidew0man (10/5): The only hotel to stay in Chengdu! - Wanda Reign was one of favourite hotels in our month-long trip to Asia. Fantastic art deco style hotel with amazing tech/gadgets in the room and ensuite. The marble wall at Reception is amazing and something to behold. The hotel is luxurious and so are the rooms with great art, and your own massage chair (which was pure bliss after a long day of touring). We took advantage of the great facilities like the pool and the fantastic sky bar. The staff are amazing, friendly, professional and service oriented. We especially would like to thank Bobbi, Head of Concierge for our little panda stuffed toy and lovely note and for getting us great tickets and fulfilling our requests. He is absolutely wonderful and a fantastic ambassador for the hotel brand. To Mei, Director of Rooms, who gave us a warm welcome on check-in, is really friendly and always with a smile and a happy greeting every time we saw her. Cloud and the Bell boy (who lent us money temporarily for a cab as we did not have small notes). Absolutely all went over and beyond which made our stay in the hotel really really special. Our heartfelt thanks to you all! We loved the Wanda Reign Hotel and we are happy to spread the word. There is no doubt in our minds that Wanda Reign is the best hotel in Chengdu!
