- Wendy (10/5): - This rustic, centrally located home has 4 apartments for rent. Our apartment was so quaint, clean and safe. Also very quiet. Our host Richard made our trip even more enjoyable with making and serving breakfast while sitting and sharing stories with us about his many adventures. We really enjoyed the gardens and exotic flowers and the lychee tree that was actually bearing fruit so we were able to enjoy them as well. Richard recommended dinner at Voila by Leelee Saturday night and Toast Sunday night. Both restaurants did not disappoint and were incredibly delicious. We will definitely be back.
- Helen Grace (10/5): Peace and beauty in Mandeville - My 21-day stay at Casa da Buena Vista was wonderful. It is located in a very nice neighbourhood that is within walking distance to town. I enjoyed breakfast in the garden while watching and listening to birds, including hummingbirds and canaries. The host, Richard, was very helpful and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The grounds are very peaceful and beautiful. Every day was a good day- for 21 days.

- DAVIAN (10/5): Cozy home away from home - I absolutely enjoyed my 4nights stay here. The location is perfect and the check in process was smooth. The ambiance was warm and inviting for guest to feel comfortable. The space is clean, when I say clean I mean CLEAN and the hot water was on point. Richard the host was so welcoming and friendly. The complimentary coffee, tea and water was a nice added touch. I will without a doubt be back again....

Having been a super host myself, Richard deserves super host status.... and the breakfast, absolutely delicious. We were very pleased with our choice and the price is right. This place was way above our expectation. Richard ate breakfast with us and was an awesome host.

Lisa and Richard demonstrated this at every opportunity during my stay. I spent two nights with my five family members and we shared two clean, inviting and charming apartments at Casa da Buena Vista. Located just a quick five minute drive from the centre of Mandeville, my family and I felt like we "got away", without being too far from modern amenities and popular Jamaican cuisine if the mood called for it. The grounds of the property at Casa da Buena Vista is a landscape of discovery. From the snowy white wrought iron chairs strategically dotting the property's gardens, to the vintage vases and other intriguing artifacts that line the shelving to the rear of the common dining area, I sensed a distinct summoning of a different time and place, which would leave any visitor transported and entranced. Almost paradoxically, it is also a place where one may strike an unlikely business deal with one of the very accomplished professionals that pass through to visit Lisa or to seek respite from the complexity and demands of daily life elsewhere. I become fast friends with Lisa, who made herself available at breakfast time, where we were offered sumptuous Jamaican delights prepared by a youthful Jason, the chef. The rest of my stay was simply relaxing, unhurried and memorable. Would strongly recommend this unique gem of a getaway.

The continental breakfast is ok but if you have an request for a certain food you would like it can be accommodated with a price of $8 dollars which is not bad at all. Everything when well and if i would back to more of a quiet place that would be the best place for me.

- hopeton (10/5): Casa da Buena Vista B&B - "A Home Away from Home" - Our stay at the Casa da Buena Vista B&B was exceptional. We stayed recently due to a death in the family in Colleville, near Christiana. We can't thank Ms. Lisa enough for making us feel at home. We will definitely stay there again. In fact, the newly renovated singles will be perfect when we return to enjoy our time with friends and family. There were so many positive aspects to our stay that its hard to mention all the effort made to make us comfortable. However, I will name a few: 1. Each morning around 9am there was a delicious traditional breakfast made to accommodate our Jamaican appetite. 2. My mother and sister enjoyed sharing the oversized king bed and had a pleasant sleep 3. The location was extremely safe, nestled in a very secure neighborhood this B&B was a real gem. 4. There were high quality guests who we met each day of our stay. This demonstrates that the five star service was not a one off.. They are the real deal!!!! 5. If the food and cleanliness are not attractive, then you have to like the love that is felt in each action by Ms Lisa to demonstrate that the Casa da Buena Vista was indeed a "Home away from Home". - C (10/5): Muy Bueno! - Casa de Buena Vista is absolutely the best B&B I've visited in some time! The lodging itself is clean, comfortable, peaceful with great decor. But, what makes Case de Buena Vista above the rest is the professional service provided by Lisa and Richard. Their communal breakfast is relaxing and refreshing...of course, Ms. Josephine's delicious cooking will put anyone in a pleasant mood but the camaraderie is the magic key. I would highly recommend selecting this lodging if you want to stay in the Mandeville area. Lisa and Richard are truly on their way to become Super Hosts!

Grand et propre appartement avec une cuisine équipée et un très grand lit d'une bonne qualité. Avons pris un bon petit déjeuner jamaïcain avec l'hôte très disponible.
