Guest Reviews
- John (9/5): Comfy clean great bed great hosts will be back - Breakfast was brilliant Nigel and Mandy are great hosts
- Gill (10/5): - Very clean large room with great facilities. Lovely breakfast and great hosts. Nothing
- Hashmi (9/5): -
- SUSAN (8/5): Comfortable rooms and convenient for city centre. - Very comfortable room, friendly and helpful host, delicious freshly cooked breakfast, off-road parking and good bus services into town. Unfortunately one afternoon I spent a few hours in the room very cold and the owners were unavailable to help. It was resolved when the heating came on at 5 and I was provided with apologies and an electric heater on their return. I would recommend that a heater is left in the room to allow guests to be comfortable if the heating is off.
- Martina (9/5): Lovely stay ay Cedars Guest House. - Wonderful place to stay. Super clean! Owner/operator very lovely Could have a larger bed. It was a wee snug for two to sleep comfortably

- Anna (10/5): - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Cedars Guest House. Getting to the city centre either by bus or walking was easy and both the hosts were super friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast every morning and the comfy beds. If I return to Aberdeen anytime in the future, this will be the first place I'll check for vacancies.
- Randal (10/5): Nice Bed and Breakfast in Aberdeen. - Cedars Guest House is close to several dining options. It is in an urban location, but away from the busy city center. It was easy to navigate the roads to get out of town to see the sights. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfasts were very good. We enjoyed our visit. Nothing that I can think of.
- David (10/5): Brilliant. - The facilities, breakfast and location are superb. Easy to get into the centre of town by public transport or walking. The hosts Mandy and Nigel were brilliant and it was a pleasure to stay at Cedars. I will definitely be back.
- Judith (9/5): - Die Inhaber waren unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Man hat sich insgesamt dort sehr wohlgefühlt.
- Sophie (10/5): - Sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Frühstück wird frisch nach Bestellung zubereitet und schmeckt sehr gut. Es gibt kleine Aufmerksamkeiten im Zimmer.
- Beate (9/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): - Everything about our stay was excellent. The room was large, very clean, and thoughtfully arranged for comfort. The host was incredibly friendly and made us feel at ease immediately. Both mornings started with a freshly prepared breakfast that was both tasty and satisfying. We couldn’t have asked for more!
- Kitagawa (10/5): A Marvelous Place to Stay in Aberdeen - The Cedar Guest House is a Victorian house built in 1906. It has been totally renovated and is very comfortable. We stayed in the Bennachie room, which was on the main floor. It was tastefully decorated with a double bed, a wardrobe, a couch, a coffee table, a desk, and a chair. It had a kettle with coffee and tea and we received cookies every night. The bathroom was large with a lovely walk-in shower. We were given a made-to-order breakfast every morning. Your choice of eggs, bacon, sausage, beans toast, coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Our room was cleaned every day and received fresh towels daily. The owners Mandy and Nigel were so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again, should we return to Aberdeen. They also have off-street parking. If you're
traveling with family or friends, they have 10 rooms available. We didn't find anything we didn't like
- Klaus (8/5): - Raumausstattung mit Kamin, Super freundlicher Service, Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen Lage etwas abseits vom Zentrum, Bus möglich, kaum restaurants in laufweite
- Kay (8/5): - super Lage, Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür, super freundlicher Service durch Eigentür, sehr familiär. Schönes, Zimmer (auch wenn meins leider das kleinste war ;-)) , Mega Frühstück! alles super!
- Andreas (9/5): -
- Roxana Gabriela (10/5): They perfect stay in Aberdeen - I do not have one single complaint. I am a bit of a germaphobe and clean freak, bur the room was always spotless and fresh, also comfortable and nice. The whole house has such a lovely theme. It is situated in a really nice and quiet neighbourhood, but still very close to restaurants, transport and nightlife. Right outside the house there is a bus stop. The hosts, Mandy and Neil are really two gems, so helpful and available, they also enjoy a good chat.
- AlexSarbu21 (10/5): - The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The accomodation is exceptional, and the breakfast offers varied choices. It is easy to reach the city center by bus.

- John (8/5): Very good - Excellent place to stay. Comfortable, solid, friendly, accommodating. Thank you very much. The only down side was the tiny shower. Very good fittings and very clean but almost impossible to move in the tiny shower cubicle.
- Andy (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place brilliant hosts and excellent breakfast rooms very spacious and very clean will be returning Nothing
- Morag (10/5): Perfect - Lovely host. Spotlessly clean. Quiet and comfortable. Great parking. Convenient location. Beautiful rooms Nothing
- Stefanie (10/5): Exceptional - We received a warm-welcome and enjoyed chatting with our hosts Mandy and Nigel in the mornings or when we returned from our day trips. We stayed for a whole week, but didn't get to see everything in and around Aberdeen. Hopefully we can come back to Aberdeen one day and stay in Cedars Guest House again.
All the best for Mandy and Nigel. They made pur stay special - just like all the other nice people that we met in this beautiful country - bus drivers and passengers, hikers and waitresses, senior citizens pointing us in the right direction, younger people playing traditional Scottish music in the pub and so on.
- Drew (10/5): Friendly family run Guest House - Both myself and numerous colleagues have stayed at the Cedars literally hundreds of times over the last 20 years, both for work and pleasure. The owners are extremely friendly and the rooms plus en suites are spotlessly cleaned. Breakfast is always excellent with an extensive choice of hot food plus fruit and cereals. It also has secure parking which is difficult to find at other Guest Houses and Hotels in Aberdeen.
- Mary (8/5): Very good -
- Shayne (9/5): Host was helpful and efficient - Beautiful big room and couch to sit on as well All good
- Elizabeth (10/5): Excellent stay, warm welcome and everything was pristine from the moment you stood on the steps - Breakfast was excellent, well presented and expertly cooked individually to our taste N/A
- Nicole (10/5): Perfect - Breakfast was fantastic. The location was very easy to find and get to from central Aberdeen. Friendly hosts. Great service. Comfy bed. Black-out blinds to hide the sun during the bright nights in the summer months.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mathias (10/5): Exceptionally friendly, cosy, and clean guest house with tasty breakfast - Disclaimer: It was lovely and I will definitely come back!
I stayed for seven nights at Cedars Guest House for a conference. The city centre is about 10/20 minutes away with the bus or ~30 minutes walking distance. There are two bus stations right next to the guest house with frequent buses until the late evening. The guest house is just about at the right distance to the city center to not feel like visiting a busy large city .
The guest house itself is cosy, very clean and so were my room and my bed. They clean the rooms everyday and supply new towels etc. if needed as well as new tea bags/biscuits/milk. Their breakfast provided me with all I like about Scottish breakfast: delicious black pudding, sausage, fried, poached or scrambled eggs, baked beans, bacon, tomatoes, toast, salted butter, orange juice and good tea.
By far the best about my stay was Mandy´s and Nigel´s attitude towards their guests. They are friendly and supportive at the same time. They offer suggestions for what to do in your freetime and were really flexible in terms of early breakfast. They even supplied me with very tasty haggis slices instead of the black pudding because in summer it is not easy to find it in pubs/restaurants in Aberdeen. Overall, their love for their guests is what specifically makes this bed and breakfast exceptional. Thank you so much for the lovely time and next time I will bring my wife and/or parents as we discussed yesterday!
Cheers,
Mathias There is nothing negative to say!
- Gilbert (10/5): Exceptional - This is the place to stay in Aberdeen. The cosy guesthouse is only 30 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by bus away from the centre. You will appreciate the heartfelt welcome and support of the hosts immensely. Delicious breakfast on top.

- Elif (10/5): Excellently clean rooms and caring staff! - The room was competently clean, the bed was super comfortable. - Colleen (10/5): Quite, large rooms. - We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was large- even had a couch and makeup table. Very clean and breakfast was excellent. Mindy made sure we knew where to go for dinner and how to get around the area. Lots of restaurants in the area. Very quite! It is quite far from the center of town- so would be better to stay here if you had a car. I didn't do a good job of researching-my bad.

Vegetarian homemade breakfast at your disposal in a superb living-room. Great quality! Not even their fault but the location of the Guest house is a bit far from the city center, I had to walk 40min from the train station or take the bus.

Good breakfast and friendly, helpful owners. Shower not very powerful so took a long time to rinse shampoo from hair. A suggestion would be to take reg numbers so staff know who to ask if you are blocked in in the car park.

I think this meets my wish that all rooms must have a refrigerator regardless whether it is a B&B or hotel. Room has no view as it faces the backyard.
- Rangelov (8/5): Very good -
