Guest Reviews
- MahanakornSky (10/5): Perfect stopover between south and central - Nice modern hotel, warm-welcoming friendly staff, comfy bed, super clean room, modern and functional furnished, tidy bathroom with walk-in shower, silent aircon, Thai breakfast buffet, free parking. Delicious restaurant in walking distance at the river.
- 326kanana (8/5): Good for the money - One soon gets the feeling that management policy is cutting corners.
From the lack of product in the bathroom, thin towels, extra thin toilet paper, thin tissues on the breakfast table etc.
Having said all that, this rather large hotel is well designed with a beautiful foyer reception area. Pool is rather ordinary though. Our room is large with a sofa and a small balcony. Riverview is minimal from our balcony. The most interesting thing for us about the river is a house built in the river and takes up most of the river in front of the hotel... quite bazar. See photo
- Franck (10/5): Confortable - Bien dans l'ensemble
- christie268 (8/5): Good for one night - Very clean rooms; nice bed (although a bit creaky); good bathroom.
Breakfast is adequate but hygiene could be better
Dont expect many smiles from staff as they are not the friendlist by anymeans
Car park is good size but got full when the hotel was full too.
Crossroads restaurant (a MUST) is just around the corner
Will be back then transitting via Surat Thani.
- DieterJennifer86 (6/5): Clean and modern hotel at a good location but stuff needs more commitment - We stay there for 2 nights to explore the city. The hotel is modern, clean and the rooms are comfortable. The location is perfect to reach nice restaurants and the citypart at the river by a short walk. The hotel has a nice pool as well. Unfortunately the staff was very unmotivated. The staff smiled but that was everything. When we arrive, we had a lot off luggage but instead of helping us they just watched us. In whole thailand we never had a experiance like this. Next morning at the breakfast the selection was very little. The thai food looks delicious but was cold because of no warmer. The tables were not clean and nobody took care about all this issues. So at the second day we prefer to skip the breakfast in the hotel and go to a nice coffe shop outside. At checkout it was the same procedure. Nobody help us with our luggage. The only exception was the housekeeping. They did a really good job. It looks like the hotel has not management at the moment.
- Matthew (8/5): Great location - The highly recommneded Crossroads restaurant is just around the corner.
Breakfasr very very basic but ok.
Unfriendly front desk staff just sat on their chairs and no welcome at all but heh this is the new norm i guess
Guest rooms great !! TV no English channels if they is important to you.
- Antony L (10/5): Short visit - Nice and clean hotel, all new, and frendly staff
- 163bigal (10/5): No complaints - The room is more than adequate for the price with a wonderful shower. Breakfast was especially cooked for me. As a Coeliac I travel with Thai Gluten Free Restaurant Card what I showed to the hotel staff what made them aware off my problem with consuming gluten.
There was a swimming pool on site what to be fair is perfect to get in to, to cool off. And a gym which I used for the treadmill rather than running on the roads.
Out side of the hotel there was a couple of small supermarkets and many shop just the other side of the bridge.
- Ragnvi (8/5): Nybyggt hotell - Nytt hotell.
- Jean (8/5): Transit hotel - Relatively new hôtel. Clean and comfortable. 15 minutes by taxi to Lomphraya ferry office. Breakfast is Thai style.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and good, staff was very friendly and helpful.
- pilgrim51 (8/5): Very clean and comfortable - Stayed here twice over a two week stay in Thailand.
Extremely clean. We found the staff friendly. Nice and very welcome swimming pool. Efficient air con. Very light and airy. Very small balcony on first visit. Much bigger one with chairs on return visit. Plenty of choice at breakfast but not great for vegetarians
Handy for the sports island. Small gym at the hotel but a bigger one available across the bridge.
7/11 and Tesco next door.
- adelymt (8/5): Nice, Clean and affordable hotel! - Stayed here due to Surat Thani Marathon because it is quite near to Koh Lamphu Public Park which is just a short distance from the hotel. Basic amenities are provided except kettle. There is a 7-11, tesco express and some food stalls near the hotel. It is possible to walk to the San Chao night market and Saturday Night Market. It takes only about 13-14 mins walk. Reception is 24 hours. There is a noodle shop opposite tesco that everyone should try!
- Dan0-2019 (8/5): Best Clean Hotel - Great modern hotel in Surat Thani. Clean, fresh and modern rooms at a very reasonable rate. Short walk across the bridge to shops, and town area along the river front. Hotel serves breakfast and a short period of room service but it ends early in the afternoon. No dinner service though. Several resturants riverside a short walk on the road around the corner to hotel, (5 min)
- nunolage90 (2/5): Probably the worst in my life... - This is not a hotel where they welcome foreigners. Staff does not speak English at all and is rude unable to greet you, say hi or thank you. When you walk into the hotel they hide behind the desk. To say at least hilarious.
Everything is in Thai, room service menu, breakfast descriptions.
There is no bottled water in the room. I asked for cold water in the reception and was pointed to a water dispenser that had no cups next to it. So had to come back to reception to ask for some sort of a cup, and was given a ridiculously small paper cup. The staff was laughing to each other every time we were asking something. We really felt mistreated.
Also there are no towels to go to the pool, even if you ask at the reception. They don’t even give you an option to pay extra. They just say NO.
The hotel is horrible and badly decorated. (But I could live with that). The rooms are very noisy. I was given an interconnecting room and could hear the person next door snoring all night.
We saw three bicycles at the lobby when we checked in and in the evening we saw just two so we asked if we could use them to be told again NO and funny enough the receptions for once smiled, I think she was having fun saying NO to us.
I can’t think of a worst hotel experience in my entire life and stayed many times in very humble places throughout Asia.
- magicx2016 (6/5): Good but not very good - The rooms are very nice. We were Here two times. Seems like the hotel is very good organized and staff solved all our wishes. Here is why I cannot give a rating for very good and excellent:
- disliked the water not flowing completely away in shower
- balkony windows looks dirty due to old see through protection
- balkony wasn't cleandup
- pool is closing on 9 pm
- breakfast to much asian, cheap qualitity of butter, marmelade (nerver got something like that) and other more european type stuff.
- no real coffee just a cheap instant pulver
- bacon/ham/cheese/scrumbled egg
- bad english depending in staff
@mangement reinvest some money and also send your staff to english course, most of them are very motivated
- Verified traveler (6/5): - nice location for simple walk into town. Reception staff had very limited english and were not helpful when asked questions about where places to eat in town were. Also did not do map of area so were left to own devices to find our way around.
- KCT1992 (8/5): New and clean rooms - We recently stayed at this hotel one night after arriving by train. It seems like it is a new hotel, as the taxi driver had to call up first to ask for the location (I recommend you to print out the address or show it on your phone).
The rooms are very new, clean, and spacious. The receptionists are friendly enough and check-in and check-out was quick. It looks like the pool area is not finished yet, but we did not stay long enough to go there.
The hotel is a little out of the center, which seems to be across the bridge. However, thanks to Tripadvisor we were able to find a nice restaurant near by.
The hotel had no lounge or restaurant to sit down and have a drink so we went to the rooms early instead. The breakfast is not really catered for westerners, only a few pieces of white toast broad and some fruit that did not taste too fresh.
- chanyada (6/5): Get what you pay - We hardly find a decent hotel in Surat Thani and accidentally found this one as it is just renovated. We book via Booking.com. It is very cheap as we paid only 891/night request for top floor and quiet room. We were put to the 4/f. Staff said highest floor for standard room is 4/f. Top floor is deluxe and need to pay extra another 200. I heard staff told walk in customer 790 for standard room and 990 for deluxe room. They said book via internet is more expensive than walk in customer. Strange, isn’t it? Staff are friendly. Room no insulation so we can hear everything from our neighbor. Fortunately we are on top floor so no noise on our head. Breakfast is the worst that we ever had but as said we get what we pay.
- anesthaa (8/5): Good hotel!!! - We just check out from this place and feel happy to stay here. This hotel is new modern and located in the good place,it near night market, Surat's pillar and Ko Lamphu. it near 7-11 and Lotus express. The room is new, clean and comfortable if compare with price. The staff are good service mind, they help us to connect with tuktuk car to went to Central. We love to spend time in this place because it have small swimming pool and fitness. We recommend this hotel if you have travel to Suratthani.
- Anthony (6/5): Ok stay...price was great - Breakfast lacked variety. No towels for pool. About 10 min walk to the night market.
Pool was clean. Room was clean.
- lyim84 (2/5): Terrible customer service... You get what you pay for! - We booked 1 night to catch our flight to Bangkok. I read reviews and really wasn't expecting much. We really only booked cause of the pool. They don't provide any towels for the pool and when I asked the front desk they rudely told me I could use the towels from our room. When I asked if we could have new towels to shower after the pool, they wanted 50 baht per towel! Their pool only has 2 lounge chairs and 3 plastic sitting chairs. The breakfast that is included is ok, fresh watermelon and pineapple and then mostly noodles and rice. None which are kept warm. If I had to book again I would pick another place without a pool, they don't really make it comfortable for guests to use.
- Andrew (6/5): - Property is clean and modern. Staff is mot too friendly to westerners.
- Pamela (2/5): - Previously I really liked this hotel and this was my 3rd stay here. However during my recent stay I was very disappointed that the check in staff wanted to charge me an additional 100 baht per night for 2 extra pillows ( only 2 are provided in the rooms ) It is not the cost that upset me it is the lack of genuine hospitality shown to the customer.
- Tim19630 (6/5): 50 baht for an extra blanket - the hotel feels freshly unpacked....and a little toooooo sterile, but first of all watch your step into the bathroom of room 503.
For getting around in Town not the easiest place and keep in mind the bridge is a big bottleneck for traffic so getting to the other side is a little hassle. But in comparison with other hotels it's one to stay a couple of nights....mind you the bed was on the hard side
- Håkon (8/5): - Inexpensive and clean hotel close to city center.
- Sangeetamattu (2/5): Disappointed - The hotel is in a good location. The service was shocking. The front desk staff are very unhelpful/unfriendly. The room had ants in it. Generally speaking, we didn’t enjoy our stay and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
- Kathy (8/5): Good location, clean and friendly staff - Friendly staff, great recommendation for dinner that night at a nearby restaurant on the river which we loved. Very clean and tidy hotel. Staff seemed invested in us having a god stay.
- AEK (8/5): Cleanness and great services - I really like this hotel because of its cleanness and great services of all staff members. It is also located in the area of central city, so it is easy to travel from the hotel to anywhere. However, the quality of breakfast should be a little improved.
- Rose (10/5): Strong recommendation - When we arrived was greeted by friendly staff.Room was extremely clean.Tesco Lotus n Seven 11 was just outside the hotel.Buffet breakfast was Thai authentic. All I can say is Very Good about this hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We enjoy staying at hotel and it was clean and tidy.
- M290KNhannahl (10/5): Ridiculously cheap - This hotel is amazing. So cheap. Very clean. Friendly staff. Location isn’t the best but for what you pay for the hotel is nothing. There is food and shops literally 2 minutes walk from the hotel and taxis are cheap so you’d have no issue getting around
- Jim (8/5): Nice newer hotel - Bus from the airport was able to drop us off just on the other side of the bridge. So it was not a long walk to the hotel. It is a little bit out of town. There are plenty of food stands and a convenience store around the hotel. The hotel is relatively new and kept very clean. The only suggestion I have is that they get some more lounges and chairs for around the pool. There were only two of each. And those were occupied most of the time.
